Welcome to a special edition of Get Outside with GPL!
In this episode, the Groton Public Library librarians will explore coastal access points & boat launches in the town of Groton. Post your World Rivers Day selfie with Stretch and the Get Outside with GPL sign located at Peruzzotti Boat Launch (140 South Rd., Groton.)

Hi and welcome to a special edition of get outside with gpl, I'm tracy torres, I'm emily sheehan and I'm kara pop and chalk, and today.

We're celebrating world.

Rivers day world rivers day takes place on the last sunday of september. Today we will highlight some of the waterways you can visit in groton.

Rivers are formed when water travels to a lower elevation. When rain falls wherever it falls, it flows downhill into the various bodies of water in connecticut.

All these paths end in long island, sound that means long, island, sound and all the rivers that flow into it are impacted by rain everywhere.

Groton has three rivers, thames river, paquanic, river and mystic river.

Groton has more than 20 coastal access points and three boat launches.

Kenneth streeter boat launch to access the thames river.

And perizzotti boat launch to access the boquanic river.

Kayaks canoes and paddle boards are a great way to explore the rivers.
