our
august

meeting.

receive
an
email
from
wendy
berry
on
september
9th.
She
just
basically
said
she

You

that
the
arts
have
been
heavily
impacted
by
kovid
and
she
doesn't
have
a
tremendous
amount
of
time
but
to
let
her
know
like
I
didn't
even
let
her
know
about
this
meeting
because
I
was
away
and
then
it
was
like.

I
didn't
even
think
to
let
her
know
so
I,
but
she
said
that
her
time
is
limited.

actually

could
run
downstairs
and
get
my
daffodil
bulbs
also
and
show
you
what
mine
look
like,

they're

because
I

course
was
expecting
to
buy
these.
That
will
go

the
ones
that
I
have
I'm
assuming
they
should.
She
should
be
about
an
inch
and
a
half
tall.
That's
what
I
would
think.

stickers

a
bag

just
looked
at
like
a

five

a
four

six

that

didn't
know
if
we'd
want
to
spend
a
hundred
bucks.

it

we
haven't
chatted
about

I
had
no
idea
what
to
put

the
sticker.

I've
already
done

couple

places
that
I've
left
I've
run
them
off
and
put
my
name
and
number
at
the
bottom.

concerned
about
you

publicizing
this
whole
thing

did

it

the

Through
this
is,
this
is
what
it
would
say.
If
you
want
to
go
begging
for
stuff,
it
says
a
town
of
groton,
the
ground
beautification
committee,
operates
under
the
town
of
groton
government
and
has
been
formed
to
help
create
a
sense
of
community
responsibility
for
making
groton
a
more
attractive
place
to
live
and
work.
We
are
an
all
volunteer
group
and
are
always
looking
for
volunteers,
ideas
and
support.
We
rely
primarily
on
contribution
baseball
as
well
as
fundraisers.

One
project
proposed
for
the
fall
is
a
fundraiser
selling
back
to
king
alfred
daffodils,
which
will
include
directions
for
planting.
Our
goal
is
to
sell
one
thousand
daffodils
inspiring
residents,
businesses
and
garden
clubs
to
plant
wherever
they
see
a
need.
Hopefully,
these
flowers
will
not
only
make
groton
beautiful
in
the
spring,
but
will
help
celebrate
the
end
of
covid
19..

Minutes
I'm
wondering
if
we
can
change
the
agenda
template
because
we
don't
ever
have
a
project
breakout
session
and
under
communications.
It's
really
to
me,
and
I
don't
know
how
specific
we
need
to
be.
It
seems
like
that's
we're.
Having
a
discussion
like
most
of
our
meeting
is
a
discussion
right
and
I'm
wondering
if
we
could
have
that
as
a
separate
item,
or
is
that
even
such
a
thing.

next
meeting

am
wondering
for

would

after
this
making
the
money

I
would
like
to
not
have
to
participate
until
after

election,
because

democratic
stuff

of
my
time
and
I'm
pretty
obsessed,
if
I'm
honest
but

I
just
wanted
to
throw
that
out
there
not
make
any
decisions.

because
that
that's
not
my
prerogative,

I

just
standing

biden
sign

quietly
down

john
kelly
statue
and
an
older
gentleman
in
a
truck
actually
gave
us
all
the
fingers.

Our
last
rtm
meeting
somebody
said
something
about
you
know:
oh
because
the
we
have
to
do
a
search
for
the
superintendent
and
it
was
it's
gonna
cost
a
certain
amount
of
money
and
she
was
like
you
know:
that's
you

who's
paying
for
that
and
we
are
strapped.
You
know
situ.
You
know
system
and
I'm
sitting
here
thinking
what
school
system
does
your
kid
go
to,
because
we
got
a
whole
bunch
of
new
schools
and
we're
paying
75
million
dollars
to
educate
4
500
kids.

had
that
discussion,

last
meeting
with
with
grignard-
I
said
you

mike
and
I
know
mike
they
were
spending
184
million
dollars
on
new
schools,
which
is
wonderful,
but
I
said
you
know,
the
test
scores
in
the
town
have
not
changed.
Since
I
was
chairman
of
the
board
of
education
30
years
ago,.

to
give
them
a

to
call
and
they
can
get
it
yeah,
but
anyways.
What
I
say
to
him
is
any
school
is
as
good
as
you.
If
you
are
involved,
your
kid
can
have
a
good
education.
If
you're
not
involved,
it
doesn't
matter
where
they
go
to
school.
They
want
good
education.
Now
we
have
a
school
teacher
up
in
the
corner,
who
hasn't
said
anything.

know
the
schools
are
ranked
online
and
yeah
in
the
best
schools
and
for
us
sp
butler
is
number
one
for
elementary
schools
always
gets
number
one
in
our
area.
Yeah
northeast
academy
is
a
good
one,
so
they're
all
now
that
now
that
they're
going
to
be
one
big
middle
school,
that's
going
to
be
a
little
more
difficult.

Absolutely
not
everybody
needs
actually.
Two
of
my
four
kids
went
to
college
and
left
and
regret
it
and
have
you
know
dragging
their
feet
and
you
know
don't
necessarily
have
as
many
options
as
their
older
siblings,
but
they
don't
they.
They
got
it
figured
out,
so
they
both
got
into
great
schools
but
only
lasted
a
year.
So
to
me,
it's
like
what
happened
there.
They
were
very
well
prepared
because
they
did
the
ib
program
at
fetch.

there's
nobody
there's
no
way
for
a
parent
ever
to
interact
or
like
at
uconn.
They
have
the
doors
automatically
closed.
So
there's

I
was
asking
my
daughter,
I'm
like
well
what
about
people
on
your
dorm
floor
and
she's
like
well,
I
haven't
met
anybody,
I
said:
well,
don't
you
just
have
your
door
open
and
people
walk
by
and
she
says
no
mom.
The
doors
have
to
be
closed
at
all
times
for
fire
and
I'm
just
like.

other
daughter,
you

she
had
a
friend
come
and
stay
with
her
and
then
she
wasn't
going
to
class
and
the
r.a
wouldn't
say
a
thing.
It's
like!

well,

I'm
just
like
they
want
my
you
know,
30
grand
or
whatever
it's
just
flush
it
down
the
toilet.
It
was
ridiculous.
