the

approval
of
the
budget.

mayor's
budget
message,
as
required
by
article
6
section
2
alpha
of
the
Charter
I,
submit
to
you.
The
proposed
budget
for
fiscal
year,
2020
and
I'm
submitting
a
budget
which
includes
an
increase
in
3
million
won
or
twenty
seven
thousand
three
hundred
forty-four
dollars
in
comparison.
So
that's
why
2019,
a
large
increase
in
the
proposed
budget
is
based
on
the
anticipation
of
an
increase
in
building
permit
revenues.
This
will
also
result.
It
increases
contractual
services
budgets
for
assistance
with
the
additional
inspections
that
would
be
required.

knowing
that
these
revenues
are
not
guaranteed,
the
budget
was
designed
so
that
certain
expenditures

frozen

follows

from
undesignated
capital
projects.

prioritize
items
from
the
CIP
that
have
been
held
off
over
the
past
several
years.

this
budget
continued
efforts
to
reserve
funds
for
future
purchase
of
vehicles.
The
use
of
the
undesignated
fund
balance
will
be
$800,000.

a
healthy
reserve
of
22
point

percent
slightly
less
in
fiscal
year
2019
the
proposed
budget
would
produce
a
decrease
that
point
to
a
Mills,
resulting
in
a
mill
rate
of
four
point:

zero
for
taxpayers.

would
mean
a
decrease,
a
$28
for
$100,000
of
assessed
property
value.

to
be
fiscally
responsible.
