A
This
is
always
awkward
when
we're
doing
come
on.
Okay,
recognition,
awards
and
memorials
anyone
from
the
council.
Okay,
preceded
citizens.
Petitions
preceded
citizens
petition
is
the
portion
of
the
council
meeting
where
the
council
welcomes
comments
from
citizens
to
address
the
council.
Please
sign
a
sheet
on
the
table
at
the
front
of
the
meeting
room
when
you're
recognized,
please
approach
the
podium
or
join
via
zoom,
clearly
state
your
name
and
address.
Each
presentation
should
be
limited
to
five
minutes
or
less
and
citizens
should,
if
possible,
submit
emailed
or
written
questions,
comment
correction
comments.
A
Presentations
should
be
related
to
matters
pertinent
to
the
city
of
grad.
City
councils
will
only
ask
questions
in
order
to
clarify
the
speaker's
presentation
and
can
respond
during
responses
to
citizens
petition
portion
of
the
meeting.
Is
there
anyone
in
the
room
that
has
a
citizen's
petition
would
like
to
speak.
Are
you
seeing
none
jill?
Do
you
have
anyone
in
the
waiting
room?
Okay,
thank
you.
We
will
move
on
next
is
responses.
Citizens
petitions
comments,
we
have
none,
so
there
will
be
no
responses.
A
A
A
C
New
report-
mr
mayor,
hey,
thank
you.
Councillor,
carter.
D
A
A
A
I'll
give
my
mayor's
update,
then
the
state
bond
commission
approved
nine
thousand
three
hundred
thirty
three
dollars
in
funding
for
a
new
theme,
streak
doc
and
seventy
five
thousand
dollars
for
the
access
to
the
municipal
docs
study
in
the
city
of
grime.
So
our
funding
for
the
eight
26
foot
boat
slip
boat
dock
has
been
approved.
Now
what
that
means
is
bond
councils
approve
it.
It
will
need
to
be
awarded
to
us
through
the
connecticut
port
authority
and
through
the
ship
program
which
ship
is
the
small
harbor.
A
A
There
is
a
a
match
that
we
have
to
provide,
so
the
council
will
be
asked
to
approve
that
we're
working
through
now
the
timeline
and
whether
or
not
we
need
to
have
a
public
hearing
or
a
freeman's
meeting
those
kind
of
things.
So
there
will
be
additional
information
coming
out
to
you,
but
we're
hoping
that
we'll
be
able
to
get
started
on
that
in
earnest.
This
year,
on
saturday
april
17th,
the
city
of
ground,
police
and
highway
budgets
were
presented
to
the
town
council.
A
Both
budgets
were
approved
by
the
town
council
in
hold,
so
there
were
no
no
changes
to
the
to
the
budgets.
Last
week,
city
of
grant
employees
and
volunteers
worked
with
related
employees
to
distribute
information
on
a
coveted
19
vaccination
clinic
scheduled
in
brantford
manor
for
tuesday
april
20th.
A
So
one
of
the
things
I've
been
working
on
with
steve
mansfield,
who
is
the
director
of
life's
life
health
health
district,
is
there's
a
challenge
to
bring
the
vaccines
to
the
vulnerable
populations
and
we
are
starting
by
bringing
them
to
bran
for
manner
and
we're
going
to
do
that
tomorrow
and
then
based
on
how
well
that
is
received
and
how
well
that
works,
we
will.
We
will
probably
expand
it
in
brantford
manor
and
then
expand
it
to
other
vulnerable
populations
within
the
city
of
grove.
So
we're
going
to
continue
to
do
that.
A
The
united
ct
van
will
be
at
the
municipal
building
on
thursday
april
22nd
from
2
to
5
pm
and
at
st
john's
on
on
thursday
april
29th
from
9
to
noon.
The
united
ct
van
can
assist
residents
financially
impacted
by
covet.
More
information
is
available
on
the
city
of
groton
website,
facebook
and
instagram.
A
A
So
we
have
a
relationship
with
pfizer
where
they
basically
adopted
that
section
of
the
city,
and
they
do
that
a
couple
of
times
a
year,
but
they'll
be
doing
that
for
earth
day
this
year,
and
we
appreciate
the
support
that
pfizer
has
with
the
city
of
ground
on
tuesday
april
27th
and
at
12
30
to
2
30.
The
city
of
gratton
will
be
collaborating
with
the
united
way
of
southeastern
connecticut
to
distribute
food
boxes
at
st
john's
christian
church.
Please
email
jill,
rusk
at
rusk,
j
city
of
groton.ct.gov.
A
A
The
covent
has
been
hurtful
on
many
people
and
a
lot
of
people
are
having
challenges
with
with
being
able
to
get
groceries
and
being
able
to
feed
their
families.
This
is
a
great
thing
that
we
do
and,
and
even
if
you
don't
think
that
you
need
the
food
you
can
come
out,
there
is
no
requirement
there.
You
do
not
have
to
sign
up.
You
don't
have
to
show
id
just
come
and
we
will
present
you
with
a
box
of
food
and
even
if
you
don't
think
that
you
need
the
food
you
can
have.
A
If
you
take
the
food-
and
it
helps
that's
extra
money
that
you
could
use
for
other
things
that
you
may
need
to
support
your
family
and,
lastly,
the
afl-cio
workers
memorial
will
be
held
on
wednesday
april
28th
at
6
a.m.
At
washington
park,
the
workers
memorial
is
held
annually
on
april
28th
across
the
country
to
remember
and
honor
union
brothers
and
sisters
who
lost
their
lives.
While
on
the
job
locally,
the
memorial
monument
stands
at
washington
park
and
grab.
A
The
memorial
site
contains
more
than
600
commemorative
markers,
remembering
workers
and
their
families
who
have
made
the
supreme
sacrifice
through
loss
of
life.
The
central
labor
council
afl-cio
pledges
to
stand
solid
as
a
rock
at
the
memorial
site
to
continue
to
fight
for
every
american
worker's
right
to
a
safe
work
site.
D
A
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Kessler,
sheffield,
that's
a
great
question.
Initially
we
were
trying
to
get
the
johnson
and
johnson
vaccine,
so
they
could
be
a
one
and
done,
but
because
of
the
information
that
came
out
from
dph
and
cdc
that
the
decision,
the
decision
was
made
to
pull
the
johnson
and
johnson
vaccine.
A
C
R-21-4-71,
therefore,
be
it
resolve
in
accordance
with
the
provisions
of
connecticut
general
statutes,
section
7-474-b,
the
mayor
and
the
city
of
groton
council
hereby
accept
the
aforesaid
agreement
and
that
the
mayor
is
hereby
authorized
and
directed
to
execute,
said
agreement
on
behalf
of
the
city
of
groton
iso
mu.
Second,
we.
A
Have
a
motion
this
second,
where
human
resources
director
linda
edison,
will
address
this.
I
wonder
if
I
can
get
you
to
come
up.
A
A
A
D
D
Right,
how
long
is
the
contract
for.
E
No,
there
weren't
any
holdouts.
There
was
a
little
bit
of
controversy
regarding
wages
with
a
gentleman
who
was
promoted,
but
everything
was
accepted
in
the
end.
After
some
discussions
it
took.
Oh,
it
took
a
while
to
get
them
to
to
sign
the
contract,
because
there
was
a
lot
of.
I
don't
even
know
what
was
going
on.
There
was
a
lot
of
hold
back
for
some
reason
by
both
the
president
and
the
union
rep,
but
we
finally
got
it
done.
It
was.
E
A
Right
there
there
was
also
a
delay
in
bringing
a
vote
to
the
membership.
We
were
finally
able
to
work
through
that
the
membership
did
vote
to
ratify
and
now
we're
ready
to
bring
it
to
the
council
for
the
final
approval
by
council.
D
A
The
page
okay,
so
the
answer
to
that
is
back
pay
yes,
but
we
will
not
be
going
back
to
get
the
additional
increase
from
the
employees
on
the
benefits.
You
know,
for
example,
if
there's
increase
in
pensions
or
or
insurance
insurance,
or
things
like
that.
That
basically
is
going
to
start
now,
but
the
back
pay
for
all
the
employees
will
will
be
performed
and
any
steps
that
anybody
would
have
gotten
during
that
period
of
time
will
happen
and
will
occur.
The
employees
will
be
made
whole.
