A
B
A
Hearing
none,
I
will
entertain
a
motion
to
approve
the
minutes,
so
moved
I'll.
Take
a
second
second,
all
in
favor
all
right.
All
right
minutes
are
approved,
okay
old
business,
and
we
we
chatted
on
this
briefly
before
the
meeting
for
the
business
forum
and
paige
made
a
statement
to
craig,
but
I
also
want
to
affirm
it
to
the
entire
commission
and
for
all
is.
I
commend
the
effort
that
craig
put
into
this.
A
You
know
he
worked
with
partners
from
both
the
mystic
chamber
and
the
main
street
and
the
restaurant
association
brought
in
different
partners.
He
did
a
did
a
nice
comprehensive
of
write-up
of
that
and
also
gave
us
some
of
his
his
takeaways
and
in
the
meantime,
I
made
a
a
inquiry
about
hey.
Can
we
see
how
do
people
view
this
that
aren't
actually
on
the
view
because
he
had
one
participant
which
is
the
same
as
we
had
a
sector
and
lauren
could
say:
45
people
viewed
it.
A
So
you
know
that's
encouraging
unto
itself
that
these
are
things
and
I
leave
it
to
the
commission,
but
we
can
decide
on
on
moving
forward
and
continue
these
types
of
things,
but
as
far
as
I'm
concerned,
if
we
have
45
people
using
it
as
a
resource,
you
know
that's
what
one
of
our
purposes
is
here
as
a
commission
so
but
craig
I'm
going
to
pass
it
over
to
you.
C
So
I
was
raised
in
the
question
of
whether
these
were
worth
the
effort,
but
if
there
are
45
people
who
found
value
in
watching
it,
that's
great
if
we
find
that
they
watch
it
for
two
minutes
heard
me
say
a
dozen
arms
and
then
turn
it
off,
maybe
not
so
great.
So
I
don't
know
if
there's
a
way
to
know
whether
they
actually
watched
all
the
way
through
there
was
a
lot
of
cooperation
putting
it
together.
C
I
was
really
impressed
with
the
way
the
restaurant
association
representative
and
the
ledge
light
representative
worked
well
together,
supported
each
other
and
made
for
a
good
discussion.
So
I
was
pleased
with
the
meeting
until
I
realized
how
few
people
had
attended,
and
I
I
do
appreciate
that
now
a
number
of
people
did
attend.
C
The
cooperation
from
bruce
flax
at
the
chamber
was
terrific
in
terms
of
his
helping
us
to
identify
the
various
participants
in
speaking
roles,
and
I
know
that
the
downtown
mystic
merchants
did
with
us
push
this
out
a
club
a
couple
of
times
to
make
sure
that
people
knew
that
it
was
coming
and
could
participate.
So
you
never
got.
I
guess
it
was
all
pretty
good.
C
A
Any
commissioners
have
any
questions
for
craig
on
on
the
presentation.
Michael.
D
A
We
post
that
on
the
edc,
you
know
our
web
page
and
then
sam
and
lauren
actually
took
the
time
to
go
and
look
as
we
can
tell
by
just
sheer
numbers
that
they
viewed
it.
Now
we
don't,
I
don't
doubt
we
can
tell
you
how
long
they
viewed
it
or
or
what
it
was
infer,
but
at
least
people
went
to
it,
so
just
so
that
you
know
everything
we've
done
is
everything
we
do
is
recorded,
that
someone
took
the
time
to
go
in
and
look
at
it
is.
A
D
D
So
it
could
be
themed,
it
could
be
restaurants
or
could
just
be
local
local
businesses,
because
there's
there's
masterminds
out
there,
people
pay
ten
thousand
fifty
thousand
dollars
a
year
just
to
get
in
a
room
with
people
who
will
you
know
they'll
bring
their
challenge
for
that
week
and
they'll
all
kick
it
around
and
find
some
solutions,
and
the
thing
about
that
is
you
can't
watch
the
recording.
D
I
mean
you
can
but
you're,
not
there,
so
you're
not
contributing
you're,
not
getting
answers
if
you're
watching
the
recording,
because
I
wonder
if
people
were
like
I'll
just
catch
the
replay,
I'm
busy
right
now.
A
And
michael,
I
will
take
anything
under
for
for
consideration
for
ideas,
because
we're
always
looking
for
different
ideas.
So
what
I
would
ask
you,
in
that
respect
is
put
something
together,
that
that
is
in
english.
For
some
of
us
that
don't
know
mastermind
and
such
yeah,
because
you
know
there's,
we
should
try
everything
you
know
and
and
if
we
find
that
something's
not
work,
we
can't
be
afraid
to
stop
doing
that
and
try
something
different
and.
D
A
C
Well,
the
the
only
other
comment
was
that
there
was
a
there's,
a
quote
in
my
report,
which
was
sent
to
me
by
dan
mizer
asking
if
we
would
pass
along
information
from
the
connecticut
restaurant
association
to
our
members,
and
I
wasn't
sure
whether
he
was
also
saying
next
time.
Let
us
do
it
rather
than
you're
doing
the
forum.
I
wasn't
sure
if
I
was
reading
that
in
his
message
or
not,
but
certainly
if
they
have
messages
that
they
want
to
pass
out
to
our
cassandra
restaurants.
A
Yeah
I
I
read
that
also.
I
was
a
little
confused
on
on
what
he
was
asking
for.
I,
but
that
explanation,
of
course,
what
he
puts
in
cra,
I'm
a
banker.
I
look
at
community
reinvestment
act.
I
was
like.
Why
are
we
talking
about
that
here?
But
but
that's
that's
fine.
Yeah.
As
I
said,
I
I'm
open
to
all
those
things.
I
I
think
the
more
we
do
in
support
if
we
can,
if
we
can
make
it
work
as
a
liaison
for
those
types
of
things,
I'm
happy
to
do
it.
E
Actually,
I
had
my
hands
up
earlier,
but
craig
read
my
mind
so
I
had
put
down,
but
nonetheless,
if
I
recall
we
had
asked
mr
whitehouse
would
I
think
mr
mike
brought
it
up
two
meetings
ago
on
this
suggestion
of
mastermind,
and
I
thought
it
was
a
brilliant
idea.
Perhaps
mike
may
want
to
michael
may,
want
to
consider
having
two
different
or
three
streams,
one
for
the
food
and
entertainment
industry,
another
for
commercial
enterprises
and
and
something
else,
that's
a
third
miscellaneous.
E
Well,
you
have
this
mastermind
group
where
you
could
help
to
moderate
or
convene
in
that
conversation
independently.
I
think
it
behooves
us
to
be
the
enablers
of
for
the
edc.
F
E
E
A
way
of
conversation
and
dialogue
within
the
communities
and
so
that
the
edc
is
cognizant
on,
perhaps
maybe
the
conversation
with
downtown
mystic
merchants
or
maybe
conversations
with
the
tourism
or
somebody
so
that
we
have
somebody
like
mr
whitehouse,
was
able
to
to
perhaps
add
on
to
the
chairman's
report
end
of
the
day
or
the
monthly
report.
So
to
speak.
A
Absolutely,
and
as
I
said,
all
I
ask
for
michael
to
do
since
he
seems
to
be
very
versatile-
is
to
put
something
together
that
we
can
do,
because
I
have
to
coordinate
with
sam,
who
does
a
whole
a
lot
of
those
things
you
know
put
it
all
together,
so
that
we're
all
on
the
same
page
and
that
it
it
meets
the
criteria
that
the
town
has
said
or
whatever
it
might
be,
because
I
am
not
as
familiar
with
it.
So
I
I
appreciate
all
that
that
feedback
justin
your
hands
up.
A
A
G
I
had
mentioned
at
the
beginning
of
the
meeting
when
we
were
just
getting
started
that
I
also
wanted
to
commend
craig
for
his
initiative.
Also,
the
planning
and
coordination
and
the
execution
we
do
ask
edc
to
you,
know,
try
to
get
out
there
with
the
outreach
and
come
up
with
ideas
with
the
forum.
So
what
we're
talking
about
right
now
is
perfect,
so
I
just
wanted
to
thank
craig
and
I
look
forward
to
future
events
and
new
initiatives.
A
Well,
craig
once
again
job
well
done
and
and
as
I
said,
I
I'm
encouraged
with
the
45
views
and-
and
we
now
that
we
know
that
I
think
that's
something
we
just
should
keep
tabs
on
to
see.
You
know
what
we
do
and
in
fact,
we'll
wrap
that
into
our
when
we
do
the
annual
report
for
the
commission.
C
Bill,
I
could
just
say
one
thing
for
sure:
if
anyone
chooses
to
do
this
just
know
that
the
support
from
the
edc
staff
was
spectacular.
Anything
I
asked
for
lauren
was
there
for
it.
Sam
page,
it
really
made
it
a
whole
lot
easier
to
do
this,
knowing
that
they
were
all
in
our
corner
and
making
it
happen.
A
A
You
know
they
can't
just
say
you
might
so
that's
why
what
michael
brought
up
a
perfect
example
run
it
through
sam
run
through,
let's
put
it
together
and
see
if
it's
something
that
could
work
for
all
of
us,
but
they're
they're,
the
ones
that
do
all
the
heavy
lifting
from
that
standpoint
and
we're
really
here
that
to
just
kind
of
follow
through
on
it.
So.
E
A
Absolutely
anything
else
leanne.
I
want
to
welcome
you.
I
saw
that
you
came
on
there,
but
it's
it's
always
nice
to
have
you
you
on
here
to
give
us
your
input
and
also
david.
I
see
you
on
just
because
you
came
a
little
later.
Congratulations
on
your
new
position.
I
would
assume
that
means
you
will
be
moving
on.
A
I
doubt
you
you're
allowed
to
do
both,
but
I
just
want
to
congratulate
you
also.
Thank
you
very
much.
A
Okay,
next
up
so
election
of
officers,
I
had
to
sit
down
with
with
paige
and
sam
and
I'm
going
to
leave
this
to
commission,
because
my
first
instinct
up
front
was
okay.
I've
done
this
for
two
years
and-
and
I
I
think
it's
time
in
fact
my
my
term
actually
expires
at
the
end
of
this
year,
and
and
that's
it.
I
leave
it
to
the
commission
because
that's
how
it
should
come
from
it
shouldn't
come
from
staff.
It
shouldn't
come
from.
A
Where
else
in
my
discussion,
I
had
a
couple
of
ideas
that
concerned
me
and
also
that
how
I
would
what
I
would
like
to
see
for
2022
as
an
individual
but
as
a
you
know,
moving
forward
I'd
be
willing
to
do
it
at
your
guys.
A
If
that's
the
the
course
you
want
to
go
because,
as
I
see
our
biggest
challenge
as
a
commission
and
to
make
us
is,
is
recruiting
commissioners
that
are
really
on
board
with
what
we're
trying
to
move
forward
with
those
are
just
my
two
cents,
but
I
really
leave
it
to
you
guys
because
we're
as
a
whole-
I
I
don't
ever
want
to
be
here
and
be
like
oh,
this
is
this
is
what
I
think
what
I
think.
A
So
I
will
leave
it
at
that,
but
I
also
noticed
in
our
our
absence
of
thought,
is
that
when,
unfortunately,
we
lost
our
vice
chair
for
personal
reasons,
which
which
does
happen,
we
never
actually
even
elected
another
vice
chair
to
hold
that
position.
So
we
were
a
little
remiss
there.
So
I
just
I
I
don't
want
to
see
the
commission
lose
any
of
the
the
growth
we've
done
over
these
past
few
years.
A
Five
years,
however
long
I've
been
on
it,
I
I
have
seen
progress,
but
I
leave
it
to
you
guys
because
it's
you
know
it's
about
all
of
us
at
this
point
in
time
and
and
where
the
the
commissioner
wants
to
go.
So
with
that
yep.
E
I
hope
she's
available
to
be
to
rejoin
the
edc.
Yes,.
A
I
will
I'll
take
I'll,
tell
you.
This
is
my
input
on
it
and
I
think
what
we've
sat
back
and
allowed
the,
because
the
appointment
comes
from
town
manager,
right
we've
sat
back
and
the
team
managers
kind
of
brought
people
in
and
okay
fine.
We
just
haven't
it
behooves
us
to
really
do
recruitment
for
different
pieces
that
fit
well
to
what
we're
doing
it,
and
I
mean
that-
and
I
think
your
your
idea
is
a
great
one.
Leanne
brings
realty
council
to
participate.
I
mean
she
really
brings
a
lot
from
that
avenue.
A
We
had
heather
on
genacopoulos
who
had
other
personal
she
brought
in
commercial.
We
really
need
different
pieces
to
be
able
to
draw
on
and
and
also
have
industries
that
they
can
reach
out
to.
So
that's
what
I
mean
by
going
forward.
I
think
we
should
really
focus
on
building
the
edc,
what
the
purpose
that
it
is
and
it's
kind
of
lost
a
little
bit
for
whatever
reason.
Well.
A
E
E
A
I
guess
my
only
say
is
I'm
willing
for
a
year
and
that's
kind
of
how
I
stated
it
to
the
to
the
staff.
Is
I
got
one
more
year
in
me,
but
I'd
like
to
bring
my
por
my
boat
into
port
george.
E
You're
worried
about
that
thing
falling
on
your
head,
so
maybe
if
you
take
that
or
off
your
background,
you
feel
more
comfortable.
A
Those
actually
were
out
of
the
aging
mariner
from
way
back
when
and
when
they
redid
it.
I
got
a
set
of
the
skull
wars,
they're
very
old,
well,.
E
Then
you
should
talk
about
correct.
Craig
got
a
lot
of
other
ancient
stuff
too.
H
A
It
adds
to
the
shoreline
look
so
so
that
being
said,
you
know
I
I
just
wanted
to
speak
my
mind
and
tell
you
where,
where
I'm
coming
from,
and
I
really
to
tell
you
the
truth,
I
go
by
what
you
guys
say.
I
I
just
can
only
give
you
that
sense.
So,
the
first
up
we
have
to
elect
the
chairman.
So
with
that,
I
will
look
for
any
nominations
for
chairman
or
anyone
that
wishes
to
do
it
other
than.
A
A
Don't
you
no,
no,
and,
as
I
said,
I'm
willing
to
do
what
it
takes.
That's
how
I've
always
been
so
I
I
and
I
I
just
wanted
to
make
sure
everyone
had
the
parameters
set
as
I'm
I'm
not
I'm
trying
to
transition
this
anyway.
So
with
that,
all
of
so
my
name
is
a
nomination
all
in
favor
for
myself
to
continue,
as
chairman,
say
aye
I
opposed
so
I
I
will
accept
and
move
on
for
one
more
year.
A
Now.
Let
me
tell
you
about
how
I
see
vice
chair-
and
this
is
truly
vice.
Chair
should
be
that
grooming
position
to
be
able
to
step
into
the
the
chairman
position,
whether
I
leave
or
I'm
not
available
or
next
time,
and
it's
really
just
to
see
how
things
work
I
would
like
them
to
participate
in
the
staff
meetings
that
I
have
every
before
our
meetings
to
understand
all
the
different
things
that
go
into
it.
It's
not
a
huge
time
constraint
on
me,
but
it
does
take
some
time
and-
and
it
also
takes
some
coordination.
A
A
A
You
want
to
understand.
You
just
need
a
little
bit
more
time
to
kind
of
get
your
your
arms
around
exactly
the
edc
and
what
what
your
position
is.
I
know
you
have
some
time
constraints,
so
that's
your
your
prerogative
to
decline
it,
but
I
I
just
see
that
you
have
the
motivation
there.
G
A
Do
you
accept
the
nomination
for
vice
chair?
Yes,
all
in
favor
of
justin,
being
the
vice
chair,
say:
aye
aye
aye
opposed
justin
you're,
our
new
vice
chair,
oh
wow,
final
position
is
the
secretary.
I
know
tom
had
some
time
constraints
and
such
like
that,
and-
and
I
I
think
he
with
coven
and
such
he
did
what
he
could,
but
for
the
same
point
of
of
where
we
are
today
and
being
newer
to
the
member
and
there
again,
it's
like
that.
A
Third,
in
line,
as
I
see
as
a
session,
I
personally
would
like
to
to
nominate
michael
whitehouse,
as
the
secretary
job
entails.
Basically
is
reviewing
minutes
and
signing
off
on
on
those
types
of
things,
but
also
learning
the
process
and
it
and
seeing
where
you
want
to
go
with
it.
So
that's.
D
My
concern
is
that
I
have
a
limited
amount
of
time
and
energy
commit
to
commit
to
to
something
that
involves
like
technical
attention.
Well,
I
learned
about
time
and
energy
to
commit
period,
which
is.
A
A
Next
step,
every
time
we
need
it,
it's
a
quicksand.
Yes,
it
is
we
need
to
approve,
we
prove.
G
I
just
wanted
to
just
maybe
end
up
on
that
point
where
you
started
up
bill.
You
talked
about
the
need
to
also
find
strong
candidates
to
bring
on
to
the
edc,
and
just
as
a
recap,
you
have
stated
that
the
town
manager
does
the
appointments.
That's
true
there.
There
is
communication
between
the
town
manager
and
the
staff
about.
G
G
It's
somewhat
of
a
proactive
attempt
with
some
outreach
to
potential
candidates,
and
we
certainly
don't
just
always
wait
for
someone
to
fill
out
an
application.
So
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
we
understand
we
all
will
benefit
in
having
quality
members
in
the
future,
and
we
need
your
help.
G
The
last
thing
I'd
like
to
say
is,
I
think,
historically
the
edc,
let's
just
say
over
the
past
few
years
it
definitely
has
grown
and
it's
because
of
its
membership
and
we're
hoping
that
the
edc
continues
to
be
proactive
and
even
grows
beyond
that.
There
are
a
number
of
initiatives
that
the
edc
has
had
to
respond
to
over
the
years.
G
Where
that
zoning
came
down
the
line,
the
commercial
and
business
community
had
no
idea
what
it
was
and
the
edc
became
an
advocate
at
that
point,
going
before
the
planning
and
zoning
commission
to
state
its
case,
which
inevitably
moderated
that
amendment
to
something
that
was
a
little
bit
more
reasonable
for
the
business
community
plastics
was
another
one.
G
I
don't
think
anyone
disputes
that
something
had
to
be
done,
but
we
really
had
not
done
any
outreach
to
the
business
community
regarding
the
plastic
program
and
the
edt
took
the
lead
on
that,
I
think
there'll
be
more
to
come
and
the
edc
is
not
a
passive
group,
and
I
I
think,
as
I
said,
our
our
membership,
this,
the
membership
of
the
volunteers
with
staff
moving
forward
is
critical.
G
So
I
think,
as
bill
stated,
he's
he's
quite
interested
in
serving
another
year,
but
we
do
need
to
fill
some
vacancies
with
some
strong
candidates.
Thank
you.
Thank.
G
G
So
that
position
is
going
to
need
to
be
filled
and
then,
of
course,
david
will
be
filling
town
council
seat,
so
we'll
have
a
vacancy
there.
So
I
believe
in
the
short
term,
we'll
have
two.
A
Oh
okay,
but
she
when
she
turned
out
on
the
main
street.
E
So
we
got
two
more
all
right:
leanne
will
be
coming
and
knocking
on
your
door.
E
David
of
course,
you're
you're
out
of
the
loop
okay,
but
we
could
consider
fellow
compatriots
over
the
city
of
ground,
like
jason
russ.
Does
that
make?
Does
that
make
sense.
E
A
A
Someone
from
you
know
even
craig's
background
as
running
a
business
and
understanding
the
dynamics
of
doing
things
like
that
on
the
scale
it's
invaluable
because
it
just
gives
you
a
little
bit
more
authoritative
to
say:
hey
I've
dealt
with
this
before
in
my
professional
life
you
know
and-
and
it
does
put
a
little
bit
more
weight
behind
it
when
we're
making
recommendations
on
stuff.
So.
D
Another
thought
in
in
recruiting
is
that
there's
seven
or
eight
people,
maybe
more,
who
expressed
a
very
strong
interest
in
being
involved
in
the
town
who
did
not
get
the
roles
they
were
hoping
to
get.
Who
might
be
good
candidates
to
talk
to
about
the
edc?
Absolutely.
A
D
Yeah
see
there
might
be
some
people
who
who
did
not
get
the
the
the
roles
they
were
running
for.
A
E
A
A
You
know
what
we
came
out
with
a
new
initiative
if
it
means
anything
and
we're
going
to
be
doing
a
small
business,
non-profit
we're
committing
five
billion
dollars.
Now,
of
course,
that's
across
our
whole
footprint,
but
I
thought
that
was
a
very
bold
initiative
by
our
new
chairman
and
we're
still
trying
to
get
the
details
together
on
it.
But
don't
it's
on
my
radar.
A
In
fact,
I
have
to
meet
with
the
new
director
over
at
sector,
because
it's
something
that
you
know
we
want
to
get
sector
involved
with
and
also
possibly
going
to,
the
the
you
know
the
innovation
place
and
some
of
the
other
types
of
things,
but
I
don't
know
the
parameters
yet
so
I'm
kind
of
keeping
it
that.
But
I
thought
it
was
a
very
bold.
A
Not
a
small
dollar
amount
that
they're
committing
over
a
period
of
time.
So.
C
Up
sorry,
craig
go
ahead,
it
was
just
to
say
it
would
be
useful
if
we
have
commissioners
who
are
stepping
down
from
time
to
time,
if
we
could
make
sure
that
the
other
commissioners
know
that,
so
that
we
can
then
be
thinking
about
nominations
during
the
course
of
the
year.
I
think
for
me-
maybe
I
just
missed
clues,
but
I
missed
you.
People
were
stepping
down
yeah.
A
But
some
of
them
weren't
necessarily
stepping
down
craig.
I
agree
with
you
and-
and
I
always
so
would
always
appreciate
the
professional
courtesy
of
saying
you
know
I'm
stepping
down
in
two
months
or
one
month
or
whatever,
and
then
it
gives
a
heads
up,
the
other
one's.
Actually,
my
understanding
is
they
were
taking,
they
asked
for
leaves,
but
it
wasn't
formal
leaving
the
commission
itself.
So
then,
therefore,
the
positions
kind
of
held.
A
A
Okay,
2022
schedule
of
meetings,
so
lauren
lauren
did
the
meeting
it's
it's
basically
set
the
same
way
where
the
first
thursday
of
the
month,
we
we
listed
them
all
the
way
through
we
did
discuss
and
it's
something
that
has
always
been
in
the
back
of
my
mind,
especially
when
we
hit
the
summer
season.
A
We
have
the
ability,
as
a
commission
as
most
commissions
for
every
place
I've
ever
been
before
is
to
vote
on
not
having
a
meeting.
I
just
put
that
out.
There
is.
We
can
approve
the
meeting
schedule
as
is,
and
then
we
can
further
discuss.
So
if
the
commission
decides
you
know
what
why
don't
we
not
meet
in
august
and
just
know
it
way
up
front,
we
can
vote
on
that
at
a
later
time
or
if
you
just
decide
to
do
it
today.
A
That's
fine,
also,
but
many
commissions
take
like
july
off
or
some
commissions
take
august
off
some
take
both
months
off.
I
don't
think
we
should
take
both,
but
that's
my
opinion.
A
E
A
Do
I
have
a
second
second,
all
in
favor
of
approving
the
schedule
as
submitted,
say,
aye
aye
closed
meeting
schedule
is
approved
review
of
bylaws.
I
know
we've
made
some
changes.
Small
changes
over
the
years
that
I've
been
here.
I
went
through
them
again
in
my
spare
time,
which
I
think
isn't
great,
but
I
didn't
see
anything
that
stuck
out
that
I
that
I
thought
that
we
needed
to
address,
but
I
leave
it
to
you
guys
if
there's
anything
in
there,
that
you
think
we
need
to
address
or
change
or
add
or.
A
I
H
A
We
will
retain
the
bylaws
as
submitted
last
bit
on
new
business
annual
report.
We
have
done
this
every
year.
I
I
chose
to
use
a
different
format
last
year,
which,
which
seemed
to
be
a
little
bit
more
easy
for
for
reading
as
a
bullet
point
type
of
thing,
and-
and
I
will
head
that
up
and
do
it
the
same
way
what
I
will
ask
this
year
through
the
town
managers.
A
I
think
it's
important
that
we
get
at
least
a
little
bit
of
time
before
the
commission,
especially
they've,
had
some
changes
to
do
more
of
a
presentation.
Very
short,
just
keep
it
to
the
bullet
points,
but
also
open
up.
If
they
have
any
questions
for
us-
and
I
just
think
it's
probably
a
good
thing
to
do
this
year
for
transition
standpoint.
A
So
any
ideas
we'll
we'll
discuss
it
further.
Of
course
it's
always
submitted
to
to
the
commission
before
anything
is
is
turned
over.
So
that's
really
all
I
have
to
say
on
that.
Just
keep
it
in
your
back
your
minds
for
for
things
that
you
think
that
we
need
to
emphasize
to
the
to
the
commission
of
basically
what
we
did.
This
past
year,
any
ad
on
that
page
I
mean,
I
know.
G
So
going
way
back,
there
were
a
number
of
years
when
a
report
was
not
submitted
at
all.
It's
been
within
the
past
few
years
that
a
report
has
been
submitted,
as
is
required
by
the
town.
There
is
no
format,
as
you
stated.
I
I
think
that
a
concise
report
bulleted
form
it's
certainly
fine,
one
other
add-on.
G
A
few
years
ago
the
edc
desired,
to
go
before
the
commission,
the
town
council
and
make
a
presentation
a
oral
presentation
of
the
written
report.
That
certainly
is
not
required
last
year.
It
did
not
happen
as
a
result
due
to
covid.
G
It
probably
is
a
good
idea
to
get
before
the
council
again,
in
the
spirit
of
being
a
proactive
commission
to
identify
what
your
goals
are,
what
you've
accomplished
and
what
what
you
stand
for.
I
I
would
recommend
that,
but
but
there
is
no
requirement
of
that
either.
C
Yeah,
it's
just
a
question
and
it
sort
of
exit
me.
Sometimes
when
we
do
an
annual
report,
we
put
forward
certain
things
we're
going
to
do,
and
then
we
judge
ourselves
by
whether
or
not
we've
done
them.
But
another
question
is
what
impact
have
we
had
like
if
we
weren't
here
what
would
be
different
in
the
town?
C
It's
harder
to
see
what
it,
what
would
be
different
or
what's
better,
because
we're
actually
existing
in
meeting,
and
so
I'm
not
asking
us
to
answer
that
now.
I'm
asking
this
as
we
look
at
our
plan
for
next
month
next
month
for
the
following
year.
How
would
we
know
that
what
we've
done
was
worth
doing,
that
it
made
a
difference
versus
just
did
what
our
plan
said.
We
would
do.
A
E
Yep
mine
is
just
part
of
the
new
business
if
the
earlier
topic
was
done,.
A
Okay,
just
try
to
follow
the
format
okay,
so
everyone
keep
that
in
mind.
As
I
said
I'll
do
my
best
to
have
a
draft
for
everyone
for
for
our
next
meeting
and
we
can
start
from
there
okay,
chair
report,
so
this
is
kind
of
tying
in
some
of
the
things
that
that
we
already
just
discussed
in
the
way
of
recruitment
and
such
there
there's
some
key
things
that
I
really
I
I
I
it's
just
and
I
know
kovit's
part
of
it
is.
I
want
that.
A
A
You
know
a
very
well
put
together
forum,
and-
and
now
we
have
some
measure
on
that
also-
which
was
was
nice
michael,
bringing
up
the
meeting
about
putting
together,
maybe
another
avenue,
that's
the
type
of
stuff
that
really
makes
each
of
us
as
an
individual
commissioner,
bringing
something
to
the
table
of
what
we're
all
supposed
to
be
about,
and
then
we
can
all
work
around.
A
You
know
on
it
and
together
and
and
to
show
it
so
I
I
put
that
out
there
only
because
that
I
deserved
it
and
I'll
tell
you
I'm
preaching
to
the
choir
right
now,
because
I
can
see
the
faces
on
the
call
and-
and
this
is
the
people
that
usually
are
always
on
on
the
meeting
calls,
but
every
every
month,
when
I
do
these,
I'm
like
okay,
do
I
have
a
quorum?
Do
I
have
a
quorum?
A
I
I'd
love
to
see
people
getting
a
little
bit
more
excited
about
their
what
they're
bringing
to
the
table
and
that's
why
they
come
to
meetings
as
opposed
to,
let's
just
see
what's
going
on
this
this
month.
So
I
put
that
out
for
everyone
to
kind
of
look
with
inside,
as
I
do
when
I
try
to
make
decisions
and
such
as
saying
what
do
I
want
to
do
with
this
position
as
a
commissioner?
How
do
I
see
my
my
place
here
as
a
commissioner
on
the
edc?
A
What
can
we
be
doing
better
no
idea
is,
is
a
bad
idea.
I
mean,
if
you're
fired
up
about
something
that
that
you'd
like
to
see
us
doing
and
it
fits
in
our
parameters,
I'm
happy
to
discuss
it
and
I
think
that's
a
that's
a
healthy
discussion
of
all
of
us.
That's
what
I
really
would
like
to
see
going
forward
and
I
will
try
to
encourage
it
at
meetings
and
I
can't
wait
till
we
can
finally
go
back
to
in-person
meetings
because
I
think
that's
when
it
gets
a
little
bit.
A
A
This
is
an
opinion
piece,
but,
but
I
I
think
it's
it's
something
that
we
need
to
to
do
is
paige
is
going
to
go
over
the
american
covery
act,
the
funds
that
the
town
has
it's
a
sizable
amount
of
money
they
put
together
a
group
and
I
was
participating
as
a
business
person
and
also
edc
last
month
and
paige
will
go
through
that
and
I
kind
of
heard-
and
you
have
all
these
people
saying
we
should
use
the
funds
for
this.
A
We
should
use
the
funds
for
this
and
everyone's
trying
to
determine
how
these
funds-
I
really
think
it's
important,
and
I
would
actually
put
in
a
formal
request
through
the
town
manager
on
the
town
council-
is
that
someone
from
the
edc
should
be
appointed
to
the
the
decision
decision-making
basis
of
where
these
funds
are
going,
because
it
ties
into
exactly
what
we're
doing
here
and
I
just
think
we
need
to
have
a
seat
at
the
table,
not
that
we
can
tell
you
exactly
where
the
funds
should
be
spent,
but
we
need
a
seat
at
that
table,
because
I
think
it's
very
important
for
what
we
do
point
here.
A
Here's
a
case
in
point
on
it
is
a
couple
of
businesses
I
talked
to,
and
this
is
one
of
those
things
I
kind
of
didn't.
Think
of,
but
as
a
homeowner
I
do
heating
costs.
Energy
costs
are
going
going
up
through
the
roof.
30
40,
that's
something
that
wasn't
factored
into
their
covid
plan
now
they're
starting
to
see
these
expenses
are
going
up.
From
that
standpoint,
maybe
that's
an
avenue.
Can
we
do
a
a
fuel
assistance,
energy
assistance
to
some
of
the
small
businesses
that
fit
into
the
plan?
A
Those
are
things
that
we
can
bring
to
the
table.
That
aren't
aren't
necessarily
looked
at.
I
mean
that's
my
two
cents.
I
heard
daycare.
I
heard
all
these
other
ideas
and
there
might
be
validity
behind
all
of
them.
I
just
would
like
to
have
a
seat
at
the
table
because
it
is
a
sizable
amount
of
money
and
I
think
the
businesses
deserve
a
seat
there.
That's
what
we
represent.
E
No,
no!
No!
No,
I
think
you,
you
made
a
very
salient
point
that
sometimes
things
are
right
in
front
of
our
nose.
We
don't
even
see
it
and
that
that,
as
a
chairman
representing
the
town
of
grounds,
economic
development
commission,
where
the
purpose
and
intentions
and
the
progress
of
the
town,
businesses
and
commerce
should
have
a
seat
at
the
table,.
A
There's
another
aspect
of
this,
and
it's
it's
it's
just
because
I
know
we
went
through
transition
on
council
and
I
I
truly
don't
know
where
they
stand,
and
I
know
we're
because
it
all
comes
back
to
the
mystic
school
and
where
that
is,
and
I'm
not
going
to
go
down
the
path
of
of
you
know:
we've
done
our
portion
of
it.
We've
never
come
out
and
and
endorsed
it.
We've
never
done
anything.
A
But
then
I
get
a
report
that
paige
sent
out
and
also,
I
think,
sam
sent
it
on
to
the
the.
I
got
an
alert
on
my
webpage,
but
they
came
out
with
a
housing
study
in
the
in
the
for
the
town
of
groton,
and
we've
been
waiting
for
this.
This
housing
study
for
a
long,
long
time,
because
I've
been
waiting
for
it.
I
wanted
to
see
and
and
you're
showing
that
the
town
over
the
next
five
years
has
gonna
have
a
deficit
of
thousands
of
units
for
housing.
A
Then
I
have
another
camp
over
here
saying
we
don't
want
to
build
these
things,
because
it's
going
to
increase
this
and
that
well,
these
people
are
going
to
need
a
place
to
live.
We
need
to
become
more
of
a
proponent
of
all
that
because
it
all
comes
right
back
to
the
business
community
and
it
all
comes
back
to
things
that
are
on
our
plate.
A
So
I'm
not
saying
anything
about
individual
products
of
projects
that
are
out
there,
but
we
really
that's
something
that
we
have
numbers
now
to
say
is:
okay:
where
are
these
people
going
to
live,
because
if
they're
not
going
to
live
in
groton
and
they're,
going
to
maybe
work
in
groton
somewhere
else,
they're
going
to
live
and
someone
else
is
going
to
say
hey,
we
got
some
land
to
develop.
We'll
put
some.
A
You
know,
housing
here
and
paige
said
that
from
the
time
I've
been
on,
the
commission
is
we're
here
for
groton
and
and
and
we
have
to
be
kind
of
greedy
when
it
comes
to
that
standpoint
is,
is
we
want
as
much
of
that
pie
as
we
can
get,
because
that
that's?
What
allow
groton
to
sustain
and
to
grow,
because
once
you
don't
do
that
and
and
george
probably
know
mathematically,
I
can
show
you
you
stop
growing
you're
dying.
A
I
I
saw
a
very
great
article
because
it
was
reminiscing
about
mystic.
The
way
mystic
was
and
the
guy
went
through
and-
and
I
remember
dick
neffs
and
I
remember
all
those
stores
and
the
penny
candy
and
the
gas
station
all
that
stuff.
Well,
guess
what
jiffy
lube
went
in,
you
could
go
to
the
mall
for
your
shirts,
all
of
a
sudden
those
businesses
no
longer
around,
and
it's
nice
to
reminisce,
but
mystic,
basically
re-evolved
and
reset
itself,
and
now
it's
a
destination
with
restaurants
like
that
and
people
go.
A
Oh,
that's
not
the
way
it
used
to
be.
I
get
it,
but
but
that's
what
is
progress
and
growth
is
all
about,
so
I'm
pretty
passionate
about
that
type
of
stuff
and
there
again
it's
that
housing
study
is.
I
think
that
the
thing
that
we
really
needed
from
our
standpoint
of
saying
we
need
housing.
A
So,
if
not
there,
where
and
if
they
give
us
somewhere,
because
we're
already
doing
a
school,
we've
already
shown
that
we
that
the
town
has
the
ability
of
taking
something
and
getting
us
additional
housing.
But
we
can't
have
the
roadblocks
of
planning
zoning
and
this
group
doesn't
want
in
their
backyard
because
that's
contrary
to
what
what
our
focus
is
supposed
to
be.
So
enough
said,
I
just
yes,
michael.
D
So
I
was
actually
just
talking
my
wife
out
this
morning.
We
were
driving
through
centered
rotten
in
the
184
117
exchange
and
she
was
lamenting
that
the
tim
hortons
is
not
a
tim
hortons
and,
I
said:
isn't
there
supposed
to
be
a
development
going
in
there
that
I
saw
a
mock-up
for
like
three
years
ago?
So
my
first
question:
does
anyone
know
what
happened
to
that
yeah?
Is
that
happening.
A
D
D
I
mean
it's
not
in
rough
shape,
but
it
could
use
improvement
and
I
don't
see
a
lot
of
people
saying
nothing
should
go
there,
but
I've
also
heard
a
lot
of
people
saying
with
the
the
oral
school
a
lot
of
the
issue
was
it
was
so
vague
and
so
because
it
was
so
vague
and
so
poorly
publicized
people
just
put
their
own
monsters
in
it,
whatever
they
were
afraid
of
they
painted
on
to
that.
D
So
if
they
were
afraid,
there'd
be
traffic,
there'd
be
traffic
and
they're,
afraid
there'd
be
smells
every
smells,
they're,
afraid
of
lights
or
be
light
whatever
was
they
could
put
that
everyone
could
put
their
own
demons
in
there
and
it
became
this.
You
know
and
there's
no
one
to
say
no,
no,
here's
what
the
project
looks
like
so
next
time
we
need
to
find
developer
who's
gonna
like
stick
with
it
and
not
fire
their
pr
team
and
actually
stay
in
there
and
engage
with
the
neighbors
to
to
make
sure
they
stay
informed.
D
A
As
far
as
I
can
gather,
okay,
so
I'll
give
you
my
two
cents
on
this,
and
it's
always
the
same
scenario
that
I've
dealt
with
all
the
years
of
whether
I
was
in
old
line
or
like
that
you're
always
going
to
have
the
fraction
of
not
in
my
backyard
and
the
people
are
saying
not
my
backyard
they'll,
throw
everything
up
at
you.
It's
going
to
be
this.
It's
going
to
be
that
we're
going
to
have
people
run
over
by
cars.
A
Okay,
there
there
was
nothing
on
the
table
and
that's
what
we
had
to
continually
keep
saying.
Is
we
haven't
even
gotten
to
that
point
of
being
able
to
say
where
advocates
are
not
advocates
of
it,
so
covet
had
a
lot
to
do
with
that.
Whatever,
specifically
speaking,
though,
I
can
also
go
back
to
those
same
people
saying.
What
do
you
see,
you
think
no
ink
is
too
big.
What
do
you
mean?
Do
I
think?
No,
I
think
it's
too
big,
it's
cute,
it's
cute,
it's
a
village.
A
It
had
stores
it
had
a
packet.
That's
what
I
see
this
as
being
it's
too
big.
It's
a
piece
of
land
that
they're
just
trying
to
make
a
village
where
people
want
to
live
and-
and
that's
how
I
kind
of
looked
at
it-
there's
an
open
space.
There's
walkways,
you
know.
So
that's
that's
just
you
know
the
way
I
look
at
it,
so
I
can
counter
that
those
arguments.
D
A
Remember
way
back
when,
when
they
closed
that
school
for
the
deaf
and
those
people
are
all
thrilled
when
it
was
closed,
they
it
doesn't.
I
don't
think
it
matters
at
that
point
and
I'm
not
going
to
discuss
it.
What
was
on
that
piece
of
property?
They
were
thrilled
that
that
was
closed,
because
there
were
no
buses.
There
was
no
noise
that
yeah.
I
can't
answer
those
things,
but
those
are
things
for
the
council,
the
planning
commission,
that's
not
our
job.
Our
job
is
to
be
promoting.
A
G
Just
on
the
I
mean
we
could
debate
mystic
education
center
all
night
long.
The
fact
of
the
matter
is
people
really
don't
know
what
the
true
story
is
and
and
that
that's
a
chapter
for
another
day.
There
needs
to
be
a
a
lot
of
communication
on
that
front
to
get
to
a
project
that
is
reasonable
for
groton,
and
we
haven't
even
really
begun
that
discussion.
It
has
not
occurred
at
the
planning
and
zoning
commission
level.
G
That's
a
side
note.
On
the
housing
front,
there
are
numerous
conversations
taking
place.
The
thames
river
innovation
place,
which
serves
both
groton
and
new
london.
The
topic
of
housing
came
up.
We
had
a
pfizer
representative,
saying
it's
a
huge,
huge
problem
for
new
hires.
I've
also
heard
it
electric
boat
same
thing,
although
they're
not
as
vocal
about
it.
Now
we
have
this
housing
study
and
it's
not
about
a
project.
You
know
justin,
I
totally
agree.
G
The
land
at
center
groton
is
is
a
prime
location
and
I
think
someday
we're
going
to
see
that
developed.
It's
just
a
matter
of
time,
but
it's
not
about
one
project.
It's
not
about
two
projects,
not
about
three
projects.
We
have
a
demand
for
thousands
of
units
and
I
would
encourage
people
to
read
that
report
because
it's
not
about
if
we
convert
this
one
school
project
we're
going
to
solve
our
needs.
We
haven't
been
building
for
decades
and
we
have
job
growth,
80
percent
of
the
people
drive
in
every
day.
G
A
G
A
G
He
doesn't
want
me
to
teach
him
anyway.
I'm
sorry
about
that
yeah,
the
segway
on
the
housing
report.
I
already
mentioned
what
the
highlights
are,
but
look
in
the
monthly
report
for
the
link.
If
you
have
not
read
the
report,
I
would
encourage
you
to
do
so.
There
are
so
there
are
many
infographics
making
it
fairly
done
easy
to
understand
in
the
executive
summary
what
the
message
is.
G
So
if
you
don't
have
time
to
read
every
table
and
data
set
totally
understand,
but
try
to
focus
on
the
infographics
that
tell
that
story.
G
There
was
a
presentation
on
october
12th
to
the
cow
that
covered
this,
so
people
can
also
go
back
and
watch
that
presentation.
If
you're
interested
again,
the
big
takeaway
demand
for
thousands
of
units
over
the
next
five
years
bill
had
mentioned
the
arpa
funding
as
a
refresh
the
town
is
receiving
8.6
million
the
city.
G
I
I
actually
am
not
going
to
quote
that
it
was
something
shy
of
2
million,
I
believe
so
groton
as
a
whole,
roughly
11
million
dollars,
and
we
are
trying
to
take
a
methodical,
relatively
slow
approach
in
understanding.
What
is
the
best
way
to
allocate
the
funding?
Many
communities
have
been
quick
to
try
to
identify
who's
going
to
get
what,
but
it's
we
are
doing
a
needs
assessment.
G
At
this
point
in
time
there
have
been
public
forums,
in-person
meetings,
I'll
also
talk
about
the
greater
groton
site
in
a
second,
which
is
a
community
engagement
platform.
G
But
there
was
a
long-term
recovery
committee
on
october
6,
that's
continuing
to
deal
with
input
that
particular
one
focused
on
business
input.
We
had
about
10
representatives
come
to
us
and
actually
look
for
actually
provide
their
input.
G
There
were
also
the
two
meetings
that
were
held
on
october
19th
and,
lastly,
I
would
say
the
town
has
recently
gained
approval
to
hire
an
our
coordinator.
Pretty
heavy
lift
dealing
with
this
particular
process
regarding
greater
groton
would
encourage
people
to
go
to
that
site
greater
groton.com.
G
There
will
be
some
coach
cards
that
are
mailed
out
working
on
right
now
and
there
was
a
soft
launch
on
october
19th.
The
idea
behind
that
platform
is
to
reach
out
to
the
community.
Everyone
does
this
individually
now
have
facebook
comments
on
day
articles
you
know
in
their
own
networks.
Maybe
they
go
to
council
meetings.
G
The
this
particular
platform
is
to
try
to
bring
all
that
together.
So
we
can
really
tabulate
some
of
that.
We
can
do
q
and
a's
certain
forums.
G
Quick
polls
mapping
to
try
and
engage
the
public
first
and
foremost
and
trying
to
find
out
what.
C
C
G
Right
so
I
really
cannot
give
it
justice,
but
other
than
say
really.
I
encourage
you
to
go
to
that
website
and
register
and
actually
start
to
engage
on
that
sam
did
you
have
any
further
comments
on
that
platform.
J
Yeah
thanks
paige,
so
this
is
new
to
our
community,
but
it's
something
that
the
staff
has
talked
about
for
a
while
and
in
the
industry.
J
These
types
of
platforms
are:
are
evolving
and
they're,
designed
to
complement
all
the
existing
public
outreach
and
input
mechanisms
and
channels
and
opportunities
that
we
have
now
just
to
round
those
out.
But
as
paige
said
so
many
people
are
very
savvy
online
and
it
really
it's
a
website.
That's
on
a
platform
where
we
we
have
a
contract
with
a
vendor,
but
we
design
the
the
platform
and
we
put
the
projects
up
there
and
it
actually
is
designed
to
be
very
you
know,
to
mimic
social
media
in
many
respects.
J
It
gives
us
the
opportunity
of
a
whole
spectrum
of
tools
that
we
can
use
at
the
staff
level.
We
expect
to
use
it
both
in
planning
but
we're
we
already
have
folks
from
parks
and
rec
and
from
the
beautification
committee.
So
it's
really
designed
to
have
this.
J
So,
as
paige
said
about
a
couple
weeks
ago,
we
started
with
you
might
call
that
a
soft
launch
or
a
beta
version.
We
wanted
to
get
it
up
and
running
and
make
sure
that
we
could
get
all
the
technical
kinks
out
of
it.
But
now
we
are
actively
promoting
it.
We've
reached
out
to
the
local
newspaper
and
hope
to
get
coverage
there,
but
we're
then
going
to
do
you
know
direct
marketing
with
with
postcards
get
it.
J
You
know,
and
you
know,
get
it
out
through
email
lists
and
then
we're
going
to
continue
the
the
promotion-
and
we
do
expect
this
over
time
to
be
also
become
an
outlet
for
us
to
be
able
to
get
businesses
to
speak
up
and
tell
us
what
their
issues
are.
Just
to
complement
the
other
kinds
of
outreach
that
you
guys
are
doing.
So
we
encourage
you
to
get
on.
J
There
register,
promote
it
with
your
networks
and
any
other
feedback
type
it
right
in
there
or
we
can
talk
about
it
as
needed,
but
we
do
see
it
as
a
really
important
tool.
Moving
forward.
G
Thank
you
thanks.
Sam
and
again,
this
is
part
of
a
needs
assessment
process
we're
doing
for
arpa,
but
we
plan
on
using
this
greater
groton
site
for
other
initiatives
in
the
future,
but
just
to
wrap
up
an
arpa,
real,
quick.
We
plan
on
actually
releasing
our
application
package
sometime
early
in
december.
G
G
Just
moving
on.
I
only
have
a
couple
more
things.
We
were
fortunate
enough
to
have
the
connecticut
economic
development
association
annual
meeting
on
october
20th
acronym
cetus.
We
had
that
at
the
brantford
house
we
had
about
50
economic
development
representatives
statewide
that
did
attend
it's
the
first
time.
We've
had
them
here
in
years,
quite
happy
to
expose
them.
We
had
great
compliments.
The
real
goal
for
us
was
to
get
people
out
of
hartford
new
haven
and
stanford
and
wherever
to
groton,
to
expose
to
expose
them
and
understand.
G
I
I've
received
great
compliments
from
people
after
that
event,
so
I
think
it
was
highly
successful.
We
had
a
presentation
from
both
sector
and
electric
boat
and
anne
marie
seifert
from
brantford
house
as
well.
So
I
think
overall,
it
was
really
really
great
couple
more
points.
We
did
submit
a
brownfield
grant
proposal
for
1208
pequon
road,
little
town
owned
piece
of
property
that
needs
to
be
cleaned
up
that
will
be
adjacent
to
the
the
future
rogers
mixed-use
development,
where
they're
gonna
convert
the
massage
school,
so
650
000
for
actual
cleanup.
G
That
would
be
good
if
we
get
that
we'll
find
out
over
the
next
month
or
two
in
terms
of
property
redevelopment
just
highlights
gold
star
highway.
We
have
a
another
regional
housing
developer
that
has
stepped
into
the
game.
To
work
with
pga
a
the
entity
that
we've
been
working
with
again
as
a
rehash
on
that
there's
four
parcels,
two
town
owned,
two
private
owned
they're,
all
adjacent
probably
will
be-
will
be
multi-family
housing
in
the
future.
G
In
terms
of
seeley
school
triton
square
site
plans
been
submitted,
we're
hoping
to
have
that
approved
before
the
end
of
the
year,
so
they
can
break
ground
they've
already
demoed,
that
former
building
but
they're
hoping
to
break
ground.
I
think
this
winter
and
pleasant
valley.
We
met
with
the
cow
on
october
26th
to
hatch
around
some
new
ideas,
since
that
rfp
will
be
reissued
at
some
point
in
the
future
last
point,
I'd
make
we
we
did
finally
get
some
data
on
unemployment
numbers.
G
They
were
delayed
for
a
while
good
news
broadens
down
to
5.4
percent
unemployment
rate,
which
is
matching.
I
identically
state
number
as
well,
so
we're
definitely
trending
in
the
right
direction.
G
E
E
I
think
it
was
a
wonderful
coup
and
the
fact
that
having
these
many
people
from
different
parts
of
the
state
coming
to
visit
us
here
in
new
london
county
and
perhaps
a
lot
of
them
are
newbies
and
coming
to
appreciate
what
we
have
in
terms
of
assets
that
they
only
heard
about
and
now
visually
seeing
it
appreciating
it
and
the
beautiful
location
that
we
are
in.
I
think
you
know
it
gave
a
pause
to
a
lot
of
them.
E
D
I
also
want
to
make
one
quick
comment.
I
was
looking
at
the
greater
garden
page
because
you
mentioned
a
tech
thing,
and
so
I
got
distracted
and
started
looking
at
it.
It
should
probably
have
a
a
rest
of
groton
section
for
when
you're
you're
signing
up
because
the
place
I
live,
isn't
one
of
the
places
listed
in
one
of
the
sub
sections.
D
J
Sure,
michael
we'll
take
care
of
that
and
feel
free
to
shoot
me
an
email
too.
If
you
want
to
specify
a
neighborhood
or
something
all
right.
D
J
G
A
Thank
you
very
much.
Paige,
okay,
we're
gonna,
go
lays
on
reports
and
stephen.
Would
you
like
to
comment
on
your
report
that
you
presented.
F
Sure,
but
you
all
got
the
got
the
copy
of
it,
so
I
won't
go
too
too
into
depth
here.
I
will
report
that
I
just
spoke
actually
after
the
report
was
was
submitted
with
bill
mcgowan,
I
guess
from
atlantic
marine
construction
they're
the
ones
doing
the
water
taxi
dock
and
over
there
at
the
nautilus
museum,
and
he
indicated
that
they're
not
gonna,
be
getting
the
dock
until
march,
which
is
okay.
F
That's
gives
them
plenty
of
time
to
get
it
together
by
spring,
but
just
want
to
report
that
slight
delay
on
getting
that
he
was
expecting
to
get
at
the
end
of
this
year.
But
it's
going
to
be
a
few
months
after
that,
so
still
working
on
the
igsas,
as
I've
reported
in
the
past
they're
moving
along
really
well
with
the
town
and
city
of
groton's,
groton
utilities
and
some
others.
So
that's
exciting.
F
The
other
thing.
Of
course
the
novelist
went
in
for
maintenance,
which
is
exciting.
It's
a
30-something
million
dollar
project
which
is
gonna
they're
gonna
go
right
through
her.
You
know
make
sure
she's
she's
good
structurally
and
that
you
know
they're
gonna,
just
sandblast
her
down
and
put
some
new
paint
on
her
get
her
ready
new
deck,
the
mystic
seaport's,
putting
the
new
new
wooden
deck
on
the
top.
So
it's
going
to
be
going
to
be
good
for
another.
F
You
know
another
20
to
30
years
anyway
and
we're
real
excited
that
that's
happening
she's
sitting
up
there
on
one
of
our
regular
fears
beside
her
her
newer
brothers
and
sister
newer
sisters,
I
guess
and
she's
quite
happy
up
there.
So
she'll.
F
I
guess
in
the
next
few
weeks,
so
that's
exciting.
I
also
went
to
the
museum
advisory
council
meeting
over
at
the
at
the
museum.
Obviously,
and
they
reported
some
interesting
stuff,
there's
a
lot
of
neat
stuff
happening
and
if
you've
been
there
recently,
of
course,
they
reopened
in
I
think
june
after
a
year
or
so
being
down
because
of
covid.
F
But
since
then
they've
had
some
47
000
visitors,
which
is
just
pretty
good
numbers.
Considering
you
know,
everything's
kind
of
coming
back
they've
done
a
lot
of
work
inside
they.
They
have
like
a
model
wall
with
all
models
of
all
the
ships
and
they
they've
favored
the
boats,
they've
gone
and
redone,
some
of
them
so
they're
the
right
scale
now.
So,
if
you
look,
you
can
see,
you
know
the
smallest
to
the
largest
and
you
really
compare
the
sizes.
F
So
that's
kind
of
neat
they're
also
doing
a
lot
with
the
augmented
reality
now,
which
is
kind
of
neat.
You
can
use
your
smartphone
and
you
scan
a
little
code
and
it
comes
up
and
you
can
do
like
virtual,
the
big
one
they
have
now
is.
You
can
do
a
virtual
tour
of
the
nautilus,
obviously,
with
it
being
gone.
That's
a
neat
way
for
folks
to
be
able
to
look
around
in
the
in
the
nautilus
in
its
absence
electronically.
The
kids
really
like
that
it
gives
the
kids
something
to
do.
F
That's
you
know
cool
and
modern.
The
way
they
like
and
there's
some
other
experiences
there,
as
well
with
that
virtual
reality.
So
that's
kind
of
cool,
it's
getting
a
new
roof,
the
building's
getting
a
new
roof,
getting
some
new
paint
and
whatnot,
so
they're
gonna
spruce
it
up
here
coming
up
soon.
F
So
it's
exciting
that
that,
with
that,
that's
really
that
whole
facility
is
really
being
updated
and
will
be
around
for
for
many
more
years
to
continue
to
tell
its
story
of
the
the
subforce
and
also
to,
of
course,
help
the
whole
southeast
region.
You
know,
economy
with
you
know,
with
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
tourism
visits
and
whatnot,
so
very
exciting,
see
that
happening.
That's
all
I
have
unless
anybody
has
any
questions.
B
So
I'll
go
first,
the
rtm
approved
some
arpa
funding.
They
approved
56
364
thousand
dollars
in
change
over
a
four-year
period
for
skog,
and
they
approved
a
hundred
thousand
dollars
for
the
town
of
groton
navigator
position
and
a
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars
for
groton
human
services.
Those
were
kind
of
near-term
funding.
They
called
it
so
kind
of
like
we
need
to
get
some
money
going
and
out
there
to
approve
just
in
case
these
things
are
needed
and
then.
B
The
navigator
position
might
be
better
explained
by
page,
but
my
understanding
of
it
is
that
the
navigator
position
is
to
help
determine
where
arpa
funding
is
going.
G
B
E
So
is
this
individual
covering
both
the
city
and
town
or
just
the
town.
G
B
B
It's
the
dod
education
activity,
military
connection,
academics
and
support
programs,
2021
educational
resource
grant
again
that's
in
the
amount
of
750
000,
so
that
will
go
to
the
board
of
ed
and
then
the
last
resolution
that
passed
was
that
extending
like
reappropriating
the
funds
for
the
school
in
the
amount
of
184
500
that
haven't
been
appropriated.
Yet
so
it's
not
adding
more
money,
it's
just
allowing
it
to
go
beyond
the
date
that
it
was
supposed
to
be
finalized
by,
and
that
is
my
report.
I
Sure
can
you
hear
me
sure:
can
we
had
an
event
on
on
thame
street
at
what's
called
thames
view
park?
It's
the
it's.
I
The
upper
lower
costa
properties
now
called
thames
view
park,
just
south
of
the
waste
treatment
plant
and
the
event
was
called
a
place,
making
the
consultants
that
we
we
are
paying
through
a
grant
kind
of
doctored
up
the
park,
jazzed
up
the
sidewalk
with
some
color
and
made
the
the
upper
portion
just
just
above
the
street
kind
of
kind
of
gave
it
a
backyard
feel
with
some
propane
flame
tables
and
decorated
it.
So
anyway,
the
the
purpose
of
the
event
was
to
create
a
space.
I
Oh
yeah,
that's
right!
Jim
wasn't
at
that
event,
but
the,
but
the
the
thrust
of
the
the
event
on
the
21st
was
the
the
consultants
had
some
activities
and
and
some
maps
and
some
custom.
You
know
basically
survey
items
trying
to
get
some
feedback
from
the
people
who
attended.
I
Regarding
you
know
what
things
would
would
they
want
to
see
in
and
around
fame
street.
You
know
addressing
current
concerns
like
parking
width
of
sidewalk.
You
know
the
question
about
parking
on
side
streets.
You
know
the
question
of
one-way
traffic
on
on
thames
itself
or
on
the
side
streets.
Those
sort
of
things
and
those
are
those
are
still
being
tabulated
right
now,
but
it
was
well
attended.
I
There
were
20
to
30
people
there
at
any
given
time
and
it's
it's
kind
of
a
part
one.
I
think
the
intent
is
to
do
it
a
few
more
times
and
and
continue
to
get
that
that
person
on
the
street
type
feedback.
B
The
idea
also
was:
how
do
we
get
people
in
that
park
so
that
people
look
at
fame
street
and
start
visioning
what
they
want
to
see
there?
So
you
know
you
get
enough
people
down
there.
They
start
looking
across
the
street
and
saying
I
want
a
restaurant
over
there.
So
that
was
a
lot
of
it
and
the
other
thing
that
somebody
asked
about
how
much
the
city
got
in
our
funding.
They
got
1.3
million
for
two
years,
so
2.6
in
total.
H
Sure
the
biggest
thing
I
wanted
to
mention
tonight
was
that
next
week
the
sixth
we're
going
to
be
doing
a
public
hearing
on
marijuana
and
locations
for
smoking.
It
we're
not
going
into
where
it
would
be
distributed
or
sold
or
anything
because
that'll
be
planning
and
zoning.
H
H
H
I
knew
I'm
sure
the
new
group
will
be
energetic
and
ready
to
go
and
really
make
some
good
decisions
for
the
town,
and
I
hope
to
be
able
to
continue
to
be
part
of
your
committee
in
some
way.
I
don't
think
I
can
be
a
member,
because
I
am
going
to
be
on
the
rtm
so
but
I'll
be
tuning
in.
A
E
A
decade
ago
I
had,
together
with
leanne,
a
enable
the
fact
that
we
have
the
downtown
mystic
merchants
and
and
the
groton
business
association
and
all
the
other
various
entities
as
part
of
the
liaisons
of
the
edc.
E
All
together
and
grunt
is
the
economic
driver
of
this
entire
region,
and
I
think
it
behooves
sector
to
give
the
ground
adc
it
a
update,
every
bi-monthly
or
quarterly
on
where
things
are,
where
things
are
going
or
taking
back
feedback
from
ground
adc
to
sectors
board
that
this
is
what
we
like
to
see.
This
is
what
we
are
looking
funding
for.
A
I
would
be
happy
to
reach
out
and
see
if
they
would
would
like
to
put
a
liaison
on
to
for
the
commission,
because
maybe
it's
a
benefit
for
them.
Also,
if
not,
if
that's
not
something
they
can
do,
is
maybe
every
other
month
or
whatever
that
they're
available
to
be
able
to
give
us
an
update
on
on
what
exactly
they're
doing
so
point
well
taken.
E
Mr
chairman,
I've
also
I'm
aware
our
economic
development
specialist
paige
bronk
is
also
there
on
on
on
being
interviewed
or
being
assessed
to
be
part
of
the
board
or,
if
I'm
not
sure,
with
the
board
or
committee,
but
I
believe
our
town
needs
to
express
our
strongest
opinion
that
we
must
have
our
folks
in
the
town
of
ground,
be
a
representative
in
sectors
board,
not
a
simple
member,
which
has
been
the
case
for
many
years,
which
is
not
appropriate.
E
A
Thank
you,
george,
and,
as
I
said,
I
I'm
in
agreement
so
we'll
pursue
it
as
with
all
the
vigor
we
can
so
thank
you.
Okay,
any
other
business.
