A
Oh
elizabeth,
do
you
want
to?
I
don't
know
that
we
have
a
since
tom's,
not
here
and
angela
stepped
away.
Do
you
want
to
do
you
want
to
wear
two
hats
and
certainly
okay,
all
right
all
right?
So
I
guess
we
could
call
the
meeting
to
order.
B
A
B
A
B
Okay,
we've
all
agreed
so
sue.
I
guess
that
leaves
us
up
to
you
to
talk
about
the
renaming
of
the
kolnoski.
Okay
sure.
Thank
you
very
much
I'll
just
go
into
this
briefly,
because
I
I
think
all
of
you
have
seen
the
correspondence
and
everything.
B
But
what
turned
out
is
you
know
we're
like
we
couldn't
agree
on
the
first
name,
as
you
remember
months
ago,
I
think
actually
worked
out
really
well,
because
I
think
with
angela's
great
contacts
over
particularly
the
people
museum
and
everything,
it
was
so
nice
to
get
these
two
pieces
about
sassacus,
and
it
was
funny
all
my
research.
B
Sassocus
was
the
only
person
I
could
come
up
with
in
this
area
that
I
thought
would
could
be
just
really
nice
to
be
named
after,
but
it
was
so
nice
to
hear
it
from
someone
else.
First,
you
know
so
and
I
think
in
the
these
two
documents
I
think
it'll
be
easy
to
make
a
really
nice
historical
sign
for
that.
C
B
I
think
what
the
with
the
group
of
people
in
the
city
and
the
town
all
of
us
who've
been
involved
on
the
king
kolnosky
trails
project
and
everything
and
linking
it
to
the
other
trails
in
the
city
and
in
the
town.
I
think
all
of
us
always
liked
the
idea
of
a
nature
preserve,
and
so
we
were
thinking
sassacus
nature
preserve
might
be.
You
know
it
would
be
come
with.
B
The
agreement
of
all
of
us
have
been
working
on
the
place
for
a
long
time,
and
I
think
it
would
definitely
fit
in
with
the
fine
tradition
of
native
americans
for
really
having
a
really
almost
spiritual
view
towards
nature,
really
a
much
more
intimate,
I
would
say,
experience
with
nature
than
we
often
have.
So
I
think
the
idea
of
putting
nature
in
there
to
preserve
you
know.
I
thought
it
fits
everybody's
goals
too.
So
that
would
be
the
proposal.
B
B
I
think
the
your
proposal
of
sassica's
nature
reserve
is
consistent
with
our
discussion
of
a
couple
of
months
ago,
where,
as
I
recall,
angela
and
I
both
were
struck
by
the
amount
of
native
american
artifacts
and
structures
that
were
in
the
property,
and
you
know
calling
it
the
nature
preserve.
I
I,
it
certainly
to
me
seemed
very
appropriate
okay,
great
grand,
do
you
have
any.
C
Yeah,
I
have
a
quick
question.
Actually
I
I'm
not
sure
about
this,
but
is
it
officially
designated
a
nature
preserve
and
does
it
need
to
be
to
have
that
in
the
title?
I'm
not
sure
if
there's
like
extra
paperwork
that
has
to
be
filed
by
state
or
anything
like
that
to
officially
designate
something
a
preserve,
because.
B
I
think
I
can
answer
that
question.
No,
there
really
isn't
at
the
state,
and
it's
it's
totally
up
to
you
know
the
town
in
this
case
deciding
what
they
want
to
call
it.
B
What
the
town
does
have
is
slightly
different
zoning
regulations,
depending
on
what
kind
of
preserve
it
is,
but
even
there
that
doesn't
really
affect
the
name.
That's
just
the
underlying
zoning,
and
this
would
be
more
a
you
know.
Higher
quality
type
nature
preserve
for
sure,
so
the
fact
that
he
called
the
nature
preserve
would
be
consistent
with
what
the
zoning
is
saying.
But
there's
you
don't
have
to
go
and
get
approval
for
this.
B
A
B
A
I
I
don't
all
right,
but
I
I
can.
I
can
certainly
check
before
we,
because
the
next
step,
once
the
commission
makes
a
recommendation,
the
next
step
would
be
to
go
to
the
town
council
for
for
their
approval.
So
I
can
check
with
planning
and
zoning
just
to
make
sure
that
designating
it
as
a
nature,
preserve,
doesn't
have
any
doesn't
in
any
way
have
an
impact
on.
B
B
I
guess
there's
like
a
it
would
be.
A
green
conservation
is
the
designation
for
zombies.
It
should
be,
and
I
could
talk
I'll
talk
about
dev
jones
about
too
but
feel
free
to
you
know.
Def
jones
would
be
one
who
could
answer
any.
B
And
I
guess
the
other
thing
I
just
want
to
mention.
I
mean
the
history
of
sassacus
does
have
some
you
know.
Well,
the
history
was
what
it
was,
but
we
certainly
are
sensitive
that
anything
will
put
in
a
historical
information
sign
next
to
the
school.
B
Well,
we
can
certainly
talk
about
the
history
without
you
know,
without
it
being
too
much
for
say
a
young
child,
or
something
like
that.
So
we
understand
that
I
mean
the
thing
about
you
know.
Unfortunately,
it
was
scalped
and
other
things
like
that,
but
there's
so
much
more
about
him
being
the
chief
sachem
and
what
he
did
then.
B
I
just
want
to
know
we
are
aware
of
that,
and
that
was
a
concern
of
some
people's,
but
well
we
got
these
two
letters.
It
was
like
oh
wow,
there's
so
much
to
talk
about.
This
is
going
to
be
terrific
and
it's
good
for
kids
to
know
that
in
the
area
where
their
school
is,
there
were
actually
native
americans.
Here,
you
know
hundreds
of
years
ago,
as
well
as
today
too
so
anyway,.
B
Okay,
I
don't
know
anything
else.
I
guess
my
question
mark
is:
how
can
we
expedite
this?
We
need
to
after
sue
double
checks
with
deb
jones.
Then
our
recommendation
can
go
forward
to
the
town
council.
A
Yeah
I
mean,
I
think
you
could
probably
make
a
motion
something
to
the
effect
that
the
parks
and
rec
commission
approves
the
recommendation
to
rename
this
parcel.
The
sassacus
nature
preserve
with
the
understanding
that,
by
designating
it
as
a
nature,
preserve,
doesn't
add
any
additional
undue
burden
or
extra
requirements
on
the
property
or
something
to
that
effect,
and
and
then
that
way
I
can
check
if
there
is
no.
A
If
there
is
no
implications
to
calling
it
a
nature,
preserve
then
we'd
be
free
to
move
forward
and
not
have
to
wait
until
the
following
meeting
to
get
sue's
feedback.
A
B
B
B
B
A
Oh
before
there's
your
second
ad
and
there's
any
discussion,
I
did
note
don
bassey's
last
name
was
spelled
incorrectly.
It's
b-a-s-s-I.
B
C
To
accept
with
the
correction.
B
B
C
I
haven't
received,
I
haven't,
received
anything
official
but
like
everybody's
watching,
what's
happening
with
covid
and
wondering
how
that's
going
to
affect
parks
and
recreation
activities.
But
I
think
this
fits
into
the
next
section.
With
is
that
commissioner
communications,
or
something
like
that.
A
A
C
Where
this
fits
in
okay,
yeah
people
are
wondering
what's
going
on
with
covid
parks
and
rec
activities,
it's
we're
going
back
to
the
way
things
were
with
everyone
having
a
mask
inside
all
the
buildings
and
etc,
etc.
Our
activity
is
going
to
be
offered
hybrid
or
distance,
or
is
it
all
still
in
person?
A
You
know
I
it's
all
going
to
depend
on
the
numbers,
and
you
know
right
now
the
state's
not
making
any
mandates
it's
it's
been
turned
over
to
all
the
local
governments.
At
this
point
you
know
massacre
required
in
public
buildings
that
went
into
effect
a
couple
of
weeks
ago,
and
that
is
what's
taking
place.
A
It's
difficult
to
say:
you
know
right
now,
we're
still
planning
for
in-person
with
masks.
Certainly,
if
the
numbers
get
worse,
we
will
adapt
our
programming
to
reflect
the
the
safest
practices
or
whatever
mandates
are.
You
know,
come
down
from
either
ledgewight
health
district
or
you
know
the
local
government.
C
A
Yeah
yeah
we'll
use
rec
connect,
which
is
kind
of
a
bulky
email,
that's
tied
into
the
registration
software.
So
when
somebody
signs
up
for
a
class
we're
getting
all
of
their
contact
information,
and
so
we
can
send
emails
out
to
to
everybody,
that's
participating
to.
Let
them
know
about
any
changes.
We
would
also
utilize.
Facebook
it'd
be
posted
on
our
web
page.
You
know
we
would
share
out
whatever
changes
take
place
through
multiple
different
medias.
C
Okay,
I
just
I
would
think
it'd
be
a
good
idea.
I
know
you
guys
always
prepare
for
everything,
but
I
think
I
can
probably
see
it
going
the
direction
where
we
may
have
to
consider
doing
zooms
again
for
the
offerings.
I
know
some
things
are
still
in
zooms.
Instead
of
in
person.
I
don't.
A
A
Oh,
I
am
too
for
sure
you
know
we
thought
we
were
in
the
clear
and
it
seems
like
we
took
one
step
forward
and
now
we're
taking
two
steps
back.
C
C
A
The
staff
we
did
have
a
discussion.
It's
it's
difficult
to
do
both
a
hybrid
model
of
both
in-person
and
remote.
At
the
same
time,
so
I
think
moving
forward
depending
on
where
we
go
classes
will
will
likely
be
just
remote.
A
If
we
make
a
switch,
I'm
not
sure
that
we
would
continue
to
do
hybrid,
because
a
lot
of
the
instructors
said
it
was,
was
difficult
to
do
to
try
and
do
both.
You
know:
you're
you're,
looking
at
a
screen
and
you're
also
trying
to
watch
what
people
are
doing.
So
I
I
I
don't
think
we'll
be
doing
a
hybrid
model.
I
think
it
will
be
remote
only
if
we
continue
to
slide
back
from.
You
know
where
we
are
now.
A
Yes,
right
and
you're
and
you're
a
professional
that
you
know
has
done
this
for
years
and
years.
So
if
you
say
it's
hard,
then
you
know
for
instructors
that
aren't
doing
this
necessarily
on
a
full-time
basis.
I
think
it's
a
bigger
challenge
for
them.
B
C
That
that's
something
that
we
might
have
to
be
looking
toward
for
the
future,
either
for
zooms
or
for
if
the
hybrid
is
something
that
seems
like
it
would
be
viable.
It
might
be
interesting
to
get.
Is
there
a
way
to
get
opinion
from
the
public
on
how
they
feel
about
hybrid
versus
full
in
person
or
full
zoom?.
B
I
know
at
the
senior
center
the
instructors
for
the
exercise
programs
have
been
surveying
even
now,
because
with
the
seniors
in
person
wearing
a
mask
during
exercise,
there
are
a
number
of
people
who
have
opted
not
to
participate,
but
I
suspect,
with
the
coming
of
autumn,
there
may
be
more
opportunity
to
do
things
outside.
A
Yeah
we're
encouraging
people
to.
In
fact
I
know,
they've
had
a
couple
of
classes
outside
last
week.
I
think
this
week
it
was
raining
on
monday,
I'm
not
sure
if
they
were
outside
today
or
not,
and
with
the
warm
weather
you
know,
friday's
glasses
probably
will
be
back
inside
just
because
of
the
heat
and
humidity,
but
if
it
cools
down
like
they
say
it
it's
supposed
to
hopefully,
next
week
we
can,
if
we've
got
good
weather,
we
can
move
back
outside.
C
A
C
A
A
Yes,
okay,
so
in
addition
to
the
printed
monthly
report,
I
I
did
want
to
share
a
couple
of
items
that
have
come
up
since
this
was
sent
out.
The
we
will
not
be
printing
a
discover
brochure.
A
We
originally
were
thinking
about
doing
this
back
in
july,
but
as
things
you
know,
covered
numbers
started
going
up
and
questions
started,
coming
up
about
programs
and
and
we've
decided
to
at
least
for
the
fall,
go
with
like
an
an
e
newsletter
and
an
electronic
newsletter,
and
we
did
reach
out
to
the
board
of
ed.
They
don't
do
they're
going
to
allow
us.
We
provide
the
information
and
they
are
going
to
send
it
out
to
all
of
their
contacts,
all
their
families
that
have
email
addresses
so
yeah.
A
So
that
will
be
how
we'll
distribute
well.
It
will
be
one
way
in
how
we
distribute
the
information
about
programs.
Is
we're
going
to
be
using
the
board
of
ads
email
list
to
go
out
to
all
families
because
they
don't
do
backpack
stuffers
anymore?
We
were
thinking
about.
A
You
know
running
a
one
or
two
page
flyer,
but
they
don't
to
conserve
paper,
which
I
think
makes
sense.
They
don't
do
that
anymore
so
and
then
we'll
also
be
utilizing
all
of
our
contacts
that
we
have.
A
A
We
were
hoping
to
go
back
to
a
printed
brochure
because
we've
heard
from
families
that
they
they
like
having
something
in
their
hand
they
like
getting
it
out
in
the
mail
and
it's
you
know
it
gives
them
time
to
kind
of
look
it
over.
But
we
just
you
know
it's
still
so
uncertain
that
we
don't
want
to
make
that
that
investment
in
printing
a
brochure
like
a
lot
of
businesses
across
the
country
we're
having
a
difficult
time
getting
lifeguards
or
employees.
A
The
employees
that
we
can't
get
are
lifeguards.
We're
also
not
sure
when
we're
going
to
be
able
to
get
back
into
the
pool
at
avery
point.
So
you
know
the
aquatics.
That
would
be
a
that's
always
a
couple
of
pages
of
the
brochure.
A
Yeah
they
have
not
indicated
when
the
pool
is
going
to
be
available.
C
A
Yeah,
that's
that's
a
couple
of
pages
anyway
yeah
and
there's
still
in
some
instructors
that
aren't
comfortable
coming
back,
we've
lost
some
instructors
because
they
weren't
teaching
they
had
to
find
other
jobs
so
and
we're
having
a
difficult
time.
I
know,
particularly
at
the
senior
center,
we're
having
a
difficult
time
finding
instructors
to
replace
those
that
left.
A
I
think
that's,
I
think,
that's
that
was
kind
of
the
big
news
that
was
outside
of
the
monthly
report.
A
Very
many
but
and
you've
all
heard
me
say
this
before,
but
the
play
at
the
golf
course
has
dramatically
increased.
A
I
I
sent
you
both
the
june
monthly
or
the
june
revenue
report
and
the
july
revenue
report,
and
if
you
look
at
june
at
the
end
of
the
fiscal
year
under
seasons,
passes
we
had
340
and
last
year
we
did
270..
So
we've
picked
up
70
new
members.
A
Yeah
yeah
and
there's
some
really
encouraging
numbers
in
there
like.
If
you
look
at
the
youth
limited
you
know,
last
year
we
had
14
this
year
we
had
45..
So
you
know
to
me:
that's
a
that's.
A
real
positive
number
just
about
every
single
category
is
up,
but
that
was
up
significantly
and
I
think
that
speaks
well
for
the
future
of
golf.
B
A
B
Is
that
15
states
mark
one
five.
B
A
A
And
shannon
cossett
was
just
named
one
of
the
top
100
public
courses
in
the
country.
I
want
to
get
this
right
with.
A
Yeah,
we
were
actually
number
100.
A
We
did
it's
exciting,
yes,
so
that
was
quite
an
accomplishment.
B
Well,
it's
also
nice
to
know
that
it's
sustained,
it's
not
just
a
bump,
that
we
realized
from
the
covid
situation.
B
A
Complete
play
continues
to
be
continues
to
be
very
strong.
You
know
we
had
a
great
july
last
year.
We've
even
exceeded
that
this
year-
and
you
know
at
the
end
of
last
fiscal
year,
we
brought
in
these
numbers
aren't
final,
but
we
brought
in
close
to
1.5
million
dollars
and
I
think
we
had
39
000
rounds
and
over
the
last
10
years
the
average
rounds,
I
think,
has
been
32
000.
So.
C
A
A
A
They
were
intending
to
add
additional
trails.
I
think
they
were
trying
to
roll
it
out
the
connecticut
trails
finder
program.
I
think
they
were
trying
to
roll
it
out
and
at
least
get
a
couple
of
trails
from
each
community
before
they
went
back
and
started
adding
more
so
there
may
be
more
on
there
now.
I
have
not
checked
recently,
but
I
know
back
in
june
there
was
three
trails
good
yep
and
the
bridge
at
the
mystic
river
school
is
under
construction.
A
People
had
to
go
into
the
adjoining
neighborhood
rather
than
just
crossing
fishtown
road
and
going
into
the
woods
and
then
connecting
into
bb
pawn.
They
had
to
kind
of
go
out
and
around,
but
that
that
bridge
is
being
built
as
part
of
the
school
project,
and
I
suspect
that
sometime
in
september,
we'll
be
having
some
kind
of
a
formal
ribbon
cutting
event,
so
that
will
that
will
be
a
continuous,
with
the
exception
of,
I
think,
just
crossing
two
different
roads,
groton
long
point,
road
and
fishtown
road,
just
those
two
short
sections.
A
A
A
Developing
a
scope
of
services
for
the
rfp,
that's
going
to
go
out;
they
they
are
waiting.
The
council
has
to
make
a
decision
about
how
that
property
is
going
to
be
used,
and
once
that
decision
is
made,
it
will
be
easier
to
they'll
be
able
to
finalize
the
scope
of
services,
because
if,
if
the
decision
is
made
that
that's
not
going
to
be
athletic
fields
that
they
want
to
put
something
else
in
there,
then
they
would
have
to
change
the
scope
of
services
for
the
athletic
field
study.
A
If
that
was
taken
out
of
the
mix,
so
they're
moving
forward
as
best
they
can,
but
they
are,
they
won't
be
able
to
be
finalized
until
the
council
has
made
a
decision
about
the
use
of
that
property
and-
and
I'm
not
aware
of
a
timeline
at
this
point
for
that
property.
A
Yes,
yep
to
a
developer
and-
and
I
think,
they're
putting
in
some
kind
of
a
housing
complex.
B
A
A
So
staff
is
continuing
to
finalize
upload
documents.
I
did
get
an
email
from
the
national
recreation
and
parks
association.
We
are
scheduled
to
be
evaluated
this
year
in
early
october,
they're,
going
to
send
us
a
calendar
in
which
we
can
select
when
we
would
like
to
have
the
visiting
team
come
out.
A
A
We
would
have
to
have
everything
ready.
So
when
we
get
to
october
we're
going
to
see
exactly
where
we
are
and
figure
out,
if
we
need
a
little
bit
more
time,
so
we
may
push
off
the
site
visit
until
june,
again,
just
kind
of
depending
on
where
we
are
so
and
nrpa
has
not
made
a
decision
yet
on
whether
the
meetings
will
be
in
person
virtual
or
a
hybrid.
A
I've
talked
to
other
people
that
have
done
in
person,
and
the
consensus
is
that
in
person
is
a
much
better
experience
because
you're,
actually
there
you
get
to
see
the
physical
facilities
it's
difficult
to
to
conduct
a
tour
of
the
town
and
its
facilities
by
doing
it
virtually
so
they're
going
to
make
a
decision.
There's
a
national
conference
coming
up
in
september
and
they're
going
to
make
the
decision
on
the
format
for
the
visits
at
that
meeting.
A
B
Yeah
it'll
be
that'd,
be
great
to
have
advanced
notice
on
that
in
order
to.
B
A
A
A
That
had
well,
I
don't
know
if
it
had
been
formally
submitted,
but
you
know
the
plans
that
were
out
there
so
yeah
we're
we're
kind
of
in
limbo.
I
mean
I
have
a
gut
feeling,
but
you
know
I'm
I'm
until
it's
confirmed
where
we're
in
limbo.
B
B
C
C
B
So
it
looks
like
our
next
piece
of
business
is
the
succession
plan,
which
is
actually
the
redacted
updated
version
of.
A
A
Yes,
the
commission
looked
at
this
in
june,
had
some
excellent
suggestions
and
we
went
back
in
made
those
updates
and
changes,
and
I'm
hopeful
that
the
commission
will
approve
the
succession
plan,
as
that
is
part
of
the
agency
accreditation
requirement.
B
Well,
from
my
perspective,
I
went
through
it
mark
and
I
have
no
questions
about
it.
I
think
the
the
changes
look
like
they've
worked
well.
A
B
And
it
it's
easier
to
follow
and.
A
A
C
To
later
time,
if
we
want
to
go
forward
with
it,
the
next
meeting-
I
don't
know
just
since
it's
just
the
two
of
us,
if
that's
okay
but
but
yeah,
get
a
chance
to
look
at
it.
Yeah,
I'm
sure
it's
fine,
but
I
can't
officially
say
it
is
setting
work.
B
A
C
I
know
what
you're
saying:
no,
it's
fine,
though
I
I
appreciate
it.
I
appreciate
the
extension.
C
C
A
Sure
so
the
trails
coordinating
task
force
is
not
a
standing
committee,
so
it
has
a
term
of
expiration
every.
I
think
it's
every
three
years
and
it
needs
to
be.
A
There
needs
to
be
a
recommendation
from
the
commission
to
renew
the
trails
coordinating
task
force
at
the
june
meeting.
I
did
speak
with
the
members
of
the
trails
coordinating
task
force
and
they
did
want
it
to
continue.
They
feel
that
it
has
value
in
information
sharing
and
also
just
kind
of
a
coordination
of
efforts,
and
so
they
would
like
to
see
the
trail
sporting
task
force
continue.
B
A
Right
and
again,
this
is-
and
I
think
I
included
a
little
bit
of
information
in
the
in
the
email
that
went
out
with
all
the
attachments.
A
This
is
another
agency
accreditation
requirement
that
we
show
that
we
have
that
the
commission
or
another
administrative
body
has
looked
at
these
different
there's,
been
a
review
of
these
different
policies
and
and
whatnot.
So
we
had
kind
of
combined
all
of
those
into
this.
One
document.
B
Again,
I
think
I
did
review
it
and
I
found
it
very
easy
to
follow.
I
thought
it
was
logically
laid
out
mark
and
I
just
found
one
pesky
typo.
A
C
A
Yeah,
it's
okay
with
me.
You
know,
as
we
get
closer
to
the
deadline
of
heavens,
to
submit
everything
I
get.
I'm
gonna
get
more
white
hair.
If
that's
possible.
A
Yeah
I
just
I
would
ask
that
you
know
that
at
the
september
meeting,
if
there's
no,
then
everybody's
had
a
chance
to
review
it
and-
and
we
can
kind
of
move
along
on
these
two
things,
because
there
may
be
some
other
thing,
other
last-minute
items
that
as
we're
going
through
and
reviewing
everything
like.
Oh
geez,
we
didn't
do
this
and
we've
got
to
get
an
okay
on
this,
but.
C
B
A
B
Okay,
is
there
any
business
that
we
have
not
addressed,
that
we
need
to.
