And how the community can participate to it.

So we're going to go through what is different.

And how it works and how can any one of the community.

Developers apply to receive a share after that grant?.

Right. so to begin.

That grant,, as we have on our site,, humble dot, org,.

Basically, it means that it's a budget. they're aware ticket holders for board can vote to fund.

A specific aspect of the development of the humboldt, client.

Right., so any work, that's.

There that and work and code that developers.

Want to submit into the humboldt client repository,.

If there is a dev grant open and approved by the rest of the community,.

A

They can also request the participation of that.

So that grant that the main purpose.

We want to use the treasury.

As a proposal to cover well-defined code base, improvements.

Right. so currently we have one different.

Grant approved that's.

I don't remember the word correctly,, but these dev grant is to reward.

Developers that create new strategies.

Or improve existence right. so.

The idea is that all dev grants have a range of improvements.

A

That, like areas that this specific budget is being allocated.

A

And the process offered dev grants is it's 33 part process,, three step right.

A

So what happens is that, where the, the whole three steps.

A

Starts with the, the humboldt governance proposal.

A

Right., so it's where the budget is allocated for the that grants.

A

Right?, so the one that I mentioned, that is approve the creation improvement of humboldt strategies.

A

So you can see it on the snapshot. Page, the,, the full details.

But basically the idea is that we are allocating 1 million.

A

Tokens to developers that contribute to the code base.

A

With new strategies or improving existing strategies.

A

Right., so this is already approved, so we have this budget already allocated.

A

For this type of grant. and the next step now, is that we're, where the rest.

A

Of the community and developers enter this process.

A

By creating the humboldt improvement, proposals.

A

Right. is specifying what is the.

A

The improvement to the new strategy. they want to to create an important that there is a link to the.

A

To the approved governance proposal, where the budget is allocated.

A

And if possible, any other extra information related to this.

A

That grant requests. right..

A

So if you are a developer and you have an objective.

A

And you have an idea,, you can create this humboldt.

A

Improvement proposal with your idea and how you are going to implement it.

A

And also it's expected that you add the.

A

The details., what's your github handle?, what's the, your ethereum water wallet, address?, where you want to receive the reward?, and so once it is approved and the codes implemented,.

A

You can probably receive the reward, right?.

A

So what happened is that, after this.

A

Humboldt improvement proposal is approved by the community, right?.

A

If the votes go through,, we have the whole process and it's.

A

We have the minimum quorum and the approval amount of votes.

A

Approving this proposal is more than 50%.

A

Then the developer can go and create the pool request.

A

Right. and he creates the request to the development branch.

A

And wants to pool requests along with a pool request proposal.

A

And wants this pool request proposal is approved..

A

The code that's been submitted is merged into the development branch.

A

And the developer will be will receive the respective.

A

Reward that he requested for it.

A

right. once my data is that if you're not developer,, but there is a specific solution that you would like to see be implemented.

Into the humble token,, you can also create.

Improvement proposal requesting funds or rewards from that, that grant that was approved from that budget right.

So in that case, for example,, the one that created this proposal,.

His not developer, he's not the one. That's going to be implementing this.

So his proposal is that expected that this work to be executed in three days.

So he estimated reward for completing this.

This improvement will be six to k hedge by tokens, so.

And developers can go, take this and create a pool request proposal.

Linking to this improved proposal, once it's approved.

Right and then collect the the six reward from it.

The whole process, it's that process that wants to be added.

To the main code, base, to the eventually.

To a release of the humble token.

It must be created targeting the development branch.

right,, because this is the process that we follow where all requests go.

Into development branch at the end of the month. and then after we have the way and have the community testing.

And looking into the code that that's been submitted into the development branch.

A

And then we have a cutoff date where I'll pull request, proposals.

A

That haven't been approved on the previous month will be moving.

A

To the staging branch that this is going to be the release, candidates.

A

And from there we're going to go into bugfixes and passes.

A

And to make sure that a new releases.

A

Is good enough to be added to the to is good enough to be deployed to all the proper channels to to all the proper installations.

A

Docker and in-source right.

A

And just remind about the the schedule of each release.

A

Right?, so what happened here is that on each month we have a cutoff.

A

Date where the pull request, proposals that wants to be on the release.

A

Candidate will be that were approved before the cutoff date.

A

That's the last date of the month, for example, to be added or the candidate a let's say at the end of month. One.

A

And the thing that was approved before the end of the month will go into the release. Candidate.

A

Right. and then on the on the second month,.

A

What happen is that we start to merge the approved.

A

Proposals and new proposals.

A

Can be created to be added to the candidate to be released.

A

And we have this cycle of two months of between.

A

Pull requests be merge and our release actually happen.

A

Right.- and this is just we have this on our documentation- page.

A

This is just highlight a wide view of how to put.

A

Sorry for how the developer grants work.

So as I mentioned, it starts with the governor's proposal.

A

That allocates the budget., then the community creates the improvement proposals.

A

Where they define what's the solution that wants implemented.

A

Or, what's the solution that the developer itself will implement it.

A

And then this becomes a pull request proposal that needs to be created.

A

And once the pull request proposal is created is approved.

A

And the codes merge into development, the developers.

A

That create the solution,, we receive the reward right.

A

And then here comes the question.. If I'm not a developer,, how can I contribute to to this.

A

Developer grants., so one of the things like I mentioned, you can create improvement proposal. Itself, right?.

A

So, where you want to what's the describing the feature that you want to see, added,.

A

What's the the reward that want to be paid to the developer?.

A

And another way is that.

A

There's also work for developers who are looking for ideas, right?, so you can go to the communal. Forum,, create a thread.

A

And start to look for developers to implement your idea and discuss with the rest of the community about that idea.

A

You can also go into the github page where we have the issues. We have a lot of issues.

A

Where the community is asking for one specific strategy.

A

So if you're not developer,, you can go into the issues.

A

Created a ticket and describe what type of threat.

A

Do you want to see or what improvement won't see on the existing strategies.

A

And developers can go into the github page issues and look for ideas.

A

To to participate into that. right., so there is a lot of that.

A

Currently., the last time I saw there was eight open issues.

A

With related to new strategies or improvement, strategies.

A

So there is a lot of ideas out there for developers to start.

A

Creating the request and this reward from the difference,.

A

Sorry, when it came back. and also we have discord where everyone is right now., so you can always go into discord and try to find a developer.

To, to, to, to, to create the idea that once in your can.

You guys can work together to provide the solution and implementation.

A

To it and create a proposal for the rest of the community.

Right. so before we end,, I just a reminder that.

The developer grants and every governance proposal that have a budget.

A

Allocated to it works through epochs, right?.

A

So every year we have two epochs., it's a five month period where we we,.

A

The foundation, establish goals of age bought, distribution.

A

And what's the the the general goal.

A

Of how we're where we want to.

A

Where we want to allocate this distribution.

A

In the best way that improves the whole work or system.

A

That we have right and each epoch takes.

A

Five months with one month between them, where we do a evaluation.

A

Of what happened to their book and create the plan for the next epoch.

Right. and so currently we are on the epic one where we have 30 million tokens.

A

That are expected to be distributed until the end of may 31.

A

And we, the foundation set these goals where we have.

A

15 million to be distributed through liquidated.

A

Liquidity distributions that include in the minor platform,.

A

So that grant budgets we want to allocate 10 million.

A

Tokens into various different bounties.

A

Currently we have the connector or sorry,. We have the strategy.

A

Improvement and creation, we have that's approved.

A

We have now been voted a few more grants like the.

A

Solana, system, dax integration and also the initiative that currently is.

A

Another topic where we can, I can come back later to talk a bit more about it.

Right. so yeah,, that's the general idea of the,.

Of how these grants work., I know that this is as an initial iteration.

A

We might still have some.

A

Some initial adjustments to do so.

A

We also hope that the community give us feedback about the whole process.

A

So when each episode we can make it better and better and.

Improve the codebase as much as possible to make this this project the best trading client.

In free and open source that exists related to cryptocurrency markets.
