From YouTube: Blockchains in the Cloud - Nodes, Clusters, and Distributed Systems - Casey Kuhlman, Monax

Description

Traditional cloud systems are built to be distributed and (typically) fault tolerant. There is a huge uptake in systems that are distributed and fault tolerant. Blockchains, on the other hand, are decentralized and byzantine fault tolerant. This means that they have different operational considerations than typical distributed systems. At Monax, we've been running, maintaining, operating, upgrading, and monitoring blockchain networks in cloud based systems for over four years. This talk with focus on our lessons learned. It will be focused predominantly on the intersection between Kubernetes and blockchain technology and provide an overview of the key operational considerations that cluster administrators should keep in mind: runtime boot, network boot, runtime upgrades, monitoring and alert management, and log management.

Hyperledger – Open Source Blockchain Technologies

Hyperledger is an open source community focused on developing a suite of stable frameworks, tools and libraries for enterprise-grade blockchain deployments.
It serves as a neutral home for various distributed ledger frameworks including Hyperledger Besu, Fabric, Sawtooth, Indy, as well as tools like Hyperledger Avalon, Cactus and libraries like Hyperledger Aries, Ursa. Learn more about Hyperledger projects: https://www.hyperledger.org/use
