problem

challenges

facing

last

years

working

hyperledger
fabric
and

we
discuss

we

about
intellect

story
in

the

key
challenges

then
let's
discuss
how
those
relate
to

the
challenges
you've
you've
experienced
as
well.
So
for
us,
as
martha
mentioned
already,
we
we
started
back
in
2016
as
a
founding
member
of
the
hyperledger
initiative
with
intellect
eu,
maybe
prior
to
starting
in
that.
Let
me
introduce
quickly
who
intellect
eu
is
so.
Intellectual
is
a
digital
finance
and
emerging
technology
company
we've
been
working
as
a
traditional
financial
services,
integrator
starting
in
2006.

and
then
in
2015
2016,
we
pivoted
towards
blockchain
technologies
and
that's
where
in
2016
we
became
founding
member
of
the
hyper
electric
community
hyperledger
initiative.
So
in
2015
2016
we
started
with
a
small
r
d
t,
mainly
focusing
on
really
experimenting
with
the
different
distributed,
ledger
technology
protocols
that
were
out
there.

As
I
mentioned,
we
joined
the
hyperledger
initiative
and
we
started
doing
some
some
client
projects,
some
proof
of
concepts,
proof
of
value
for
organizations
that
really
wanted
to
identify.
What
value
can
we
create
within
their
specific
industry
using
blockchain
technology?
So
we
did,
for
example,
a
proof
of
value
for
a
company
named
lindis
on
the
trade
matching
and
reconciliation.

When
we
then
moved
to
to
client
projects
that
were
more
production-grade
which
do
take
into
account
those
non-functional
requirements,
we
have
a
few
examples
here.
We
developed
a
tokenization
project
for
a
company
in
belgium
named
fairville,
and
this
project
allows
local
governments
to
issue
vouchers
as
subsidies
to
citizens,
who
can
then
spend
those
vouchers
at
local
merchants,
so
really
very
up-to-date
in
terms
of
what's
happening
today
with
the
global
pandemic
and
supporting
your
local
economy.

So
this
is
a
system,
that's
live
up
and
running,
and
then
a
second
example
is
cube,
which
is
the
kyc
utility
for
banks
and
enterprises,
which
is
a
kyc
data
sharing
project
that
allows
banks
in
belgium
to
share
verified
kyc
data,
resulting
in
quicker
onboarding
of
enterprises
for
the
banks
and
improved
compliance.
So
these
are
two.

see
that
the
maintenance
is
really
a
significant
challenge
so
having
to
maintain
your
networks
through
through
manual
processes,
is,
is
quite
a
time
consuming
and
and
not
really
a
user
or
client
friendly
challenge
today,
and
which
is
one
of

challenges
that
we
aim
to
solve
with
our
product
in
which
we'll
go
a
little
bit
deeper
a
little
bit
later

the

was

only

transaction
per
second.

adapt
to,

chain

cycle

changes

the
ledger,
and
we
understand
your
struggle,
but

with
the
catalyst
blockchain
platform.

transition
from

is
seamless

everything

sold
already

can

one

challenges

implementing
product
projects
and
bringing
them
into
production
is
that
actual
use
case
in
real
life,
especially
with

financial
institutions
where,

we
predominantly
work
as
well

you

profile,
is
that
a
hyperledger
fabric
is
sometimes
not
its
functionality,
sometimes
not
sufficient.

backup
and
recovery
features,

features
are
not
required
for
separate
hyperledger
fabric
projects,

they
are
required
for

actual
implementation
in
the
real
world
of
financial
institutions
and
of
consortiums,

they
are
constructed
today,

why
we
have
developed
a
set
of
features
within
the
catalyst
blockchain
platform
to
cover
those
requirements
of
high
availability
backup
and
require
recovery
and
security,
that
our
clients,
who
are
large
financial
institutions,

asked

already

those
in

the
catalyst
blockchain
platform
under

hood.

top

values

clients.

continuing

the
production,
great
projects
for

hyperledger
fabric

a
faster
go

market,

these
production
grade
systems
that
we

building
for
clients

apart
from
that
also
looking
at
some
of
the
non-functional
requirements

scalability

were
also
things

positively
impacted

us,
using
this
tool
that
we
created
in-house
and
so
at
some
point
in
time.

last
year
in
2020
we
decided-

we
realized,
that
the
tool
that
we
had
built
in-house
was
actually
something
that,
apart
from
us,
using
it
for
client
projects,
we
also
noticed
that
organizations
that
were
taking
taking
control
of

wheel
themselves
building
something
themselves
could
also
benefit
from
this
solution.

so
at
that
point
we
realized

take
this
tool,
let's
mature
it

little
bit
and
let's
push
it
out
into
the
market.

we
did
last
year,
and

last
year
we
officially
released
catalyst
blockchain
platform
into

market
for

clients

any
size

whether
it's
a
poc,

mvp

a
production
grade
system
to

able

leverage

started
as
an
internal
tool
that
we
now
built
out
as
this
enterprise
great
system,
to
manage
your
hyperledger
fabric

set
up
your
hyperledger
fabric
networks.

so
that's
really
where
we
are
today

cloud

have

experience
