Apresentamos o workshop "Interoperabilidade em Blockchain com a Hyperledger Cacti", o primeiro workshop da comunidade da Hyperledger Foundation dedicado a interoperabilidade em blockchain. Será um curso online de 3 horas, a introduzir os conceitos base e princípios da interoperabilidade em blockchain. Serão lecionadas as bases de interoperabilidade, seguidas de uma introdução a vários projetos da Hyperleger nesta área: YUI, Firefly e Cacti. Apresentar-se-ão aprofundadamente os diversos componentes do Cacti, incluindo a sua arquitetura Plugin, o API Server, os ambientes de desenvolvimento e execução (em Container Images), um programa “Hello World” do Cacti e considerações sobre o futuro do projeto.

Preparação :

Instalar as dependências do projeto e ambiente de desenvolvimento descritos do guia do developer (até ao comando yarn run configure).

Correr um teste de qualquer package, de forma a confirmar se tudo ficou instalado corretamente. Seguir as instruções do guia do developer a partir do comando yarn run configure até ao passo build-script-decision tree (excluindo).

Este workshop apenas suporta o sistema operativo Ubuntu 20.04 LTS VM (ou bare metal).

A workshop held on November 14, 2022 about blockchain interoperability. This is a three hour online course to introduce the core concepts and principles of blockchain interoperability. You will learn the foundations of interoperability, followed by an introduction to several Hyperledger projects on the field: Weaver, YUI, Firefly, and Cacti. We present in depth several Cacti's components, including its Plugin Architecture, API Server, Test Development & Execution (All-In-One Container Images), an Hello World of Cacti, and considerations about the future of the project.

The Hyperledger mentorship program is aimed at creating a structured hands-on learning opportunity for new developers who may otherwise lack the opportunity to gain exposure to Hyperledger open source development and entry to the technical community. It also provides a more defined path for Hyperledger to connect with the next generation of student developers to inject more talent into its development community. Each mentee will apply and be matched with a mentor or mentors who are active developers in the Hyperledger community. Each mentee will work remotely from his/her location of choice. Regular evaluation and feedback will be provided. Mentees may have the opportunity to travel to a Hyperledger conference/event to meet their peers and mentors face-to-face and to present their work to the broader community.

Ask the Expert: Fast Track to Becoming a Hyperledger Cactus Contributor - Peter Somogyvari, Accenture

Participants will learn how to get up and running from scratch as a Cactus contributor with the ability to make changes to the code by adding new features or fixing existing bugs. One of the Cactus maintainers, Peter Somogyvari will be on hand during the entire session for anyone to ask specific questions about the setup process. We'll start by Peter presenting the initial setup needed to get Cactus up and running on a Debian based machine and then carry on as an interactive workshop where participants are can follow along and grab the attention of the host if they encounter any issues. Prerequisites: - Computer with root access 8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB preferred - Debian-based OS or Windows Subsystem Linux 2 equivalent installation - Docker - OpenJDK 8 - NodeJS 12/14 - Visual Studio Code (Recommended for debugging)

Blockchain Interoperability Demo with Cactus - Peter Somogyvari, Accenture

Peter will walk us through a supply chain example application that demonstrates how Cactus can be used to develop enterprise applications that can present a consistent view of data despite said data coming from different ledgers such as Besu, Quorum, Fabric or Corda. The demo will start with Peter presenting a graphical user interface talking to the Cactus REST API to achieve tasks on multiple different ledgers simultaneously and then conclude with Peter presenting and explaining the underlying code that was used to implement the example.

A virtual meetup hosted by Hyperledger Denver. About a year ago, Accenture launched a new chapter in our collaboration with the Hyperledger community. In October 2019, Accenture open sourced two software assets to Hyperledger Labs: Blockchain Automation Framework (BAF) & Blockchain Integration Framework (BIF). Thanks to the Hyperledger Labs framework, these two OSS projects have grown and so has their value to the Hyperledger community. BIF has now been promoted to a top level project, Cactus, and BAF continues to gain momentum by supporting more DLTs. In this session we will discuss how BAF & Cactus can help meet your needs, how you can get involved with the community and why Hyperledger Labs was a great home to scale these software.
