A
Remember
I,
you
know:
I
I
got
up
to
the
mic.
One
of
my
first
sessions
there
and
I
stood
up
and
I
commented
on
something,
and
you
know
it
was
I
wasn't
ripped
to
shreds
immediately.
There
was
a
good
welcoming
environment
that
people
said
commented
on
my
discussion
and
help
me
with
that,
and
I
was
impressed
by
the
the
number
of
really
amazing
people
that
were
all
round,
and
these
were
the
people
who
were
writing
these
protocols.
A
They
were
the
ones
who
had
written
the
SIP
protocol
and
either
they
were
talking
with
you
debating
with
you
doing
all
this.
You
really
felt
like
you
were
part
of
it
and
on
that
story.
First
up
my
first
hump
I
heard
the
hum
sounds
like
one
of
these
people
doing
this
is
silly.
Is
this
really
how
they
show
consensus
and
things,
but
I
came
to
understand
it's
an
engineering
thing
right?
A
Why
do
the
binary
yes-or-no
of
a
hand
vote
when
you
can
get
the
stages
of
a
hum
and
so
many
other
pieces
of
the
culture
that
are
there?
But
I
remember
it
was
that
strong
passion,
a
welcoming
sense
of
things
in
just
the
sense
that
you
were
here
being
part
of
making
the
internet
work
better.
It's
a
great
feeling
not
still
rubber
at
all.
These
years
later,.
