From YouTube: RIOT at IETF Hackathon in Prague
Description
The RIOT operating system powers devices that make up the Internet of Things. Emmanuel Baccelli of Inria describes how, at the IETF Hackathon in Prague, the RIOT team collaborated with other open source communities to implement new networking protocols being standardized in the Internet Engineering Task Force. The IETF Hackathon helps introduce students and others to protocol design and standardization.
A
Hi
I'm
Emmanuel,
Bocelli,
I,
work
for
inria
and
particular
and
part
of
the
riot
community.
The
riot
operating
system
is
an
open-source
operating
system
that
works
on
very,
very
tiny
devices
in
the
internet
of
things,
the
type
of
devices
that
cannot
run
Linux
because
we
don't
have
a
resource
incident,
and
we
are
here
in
the
Akutan
in
prague,
the
ITF
to
work
with
a
open
source
community.
A
Not
a
participant
to
being
a
participant
is
smooth
in
the
sense
that
you
know
with
something
like
the
hackathon.
They
can
be
in
their
element
of
just
hacking,
the
software
that
we
used
to,
but
at
the
same
time
they
get
exposed
to
a
number
of
people,
have
more
experience
with
analyzation
and
protocol
design,
and
they
can
usefully
for
some
of
them,
like
the
transition
section
participating
in
this
critical
design
and
translation,
I
mean
I've,
been
participating
in
an
HTS
a
number
of
years
now,
like
various
ports
inheritance.
In
retrospect,
this
I
recognize
this.
