From YouTube: Goma Internet Exchange Point (GOMIX) Launch

Description

On the 17th September 2021 the Internet Service Providers Association of the Democratic Republic of Congo (ISPA-DRC) in collaboration with the Internet Society launched of the Goma Internet Exchange (GOMIX). 


This new IXP is the result of continuous collaborative efforts among the local internet community players. GOMIX is the 3rd IXP in DRC, after the launch of the Lubumbashi Internet eXchange point (LUBIX) in Lubumbashi and the existing KINIX in Kinshasa. GOMIX will play a major role in enabling exchange of Internet traffic and help bring faster and more reliable Internet access in the eastern part of DRC, where the 4 million people in towns of Beni, Bukavu, Butembo and Kindu are served.
