I'm harris warren product manager at input, output, working on cardano governance and project catalyst. Today I wanted to share a brief update on project catalyst fund 9., we're working together for good project catalyst was launched in 2020 and aims to be the world's most accessible and impactful innovation engine for growth, not just for cardano but for everyone.

It's the cardano community's one-stop shop for open collaboration, engagement and funding, designed to scale innovative projects and help them reach new markets.

Innovation and collaboration can change the world project. Catalyst has grown out of a vision of a world of empowered individuals where innovators can self-organize collaborate and make well informed decisions to solve real-world problems and where no single entity dictates the terms it's controlled by the community project. Catalyst is for. Anyone who believes ideas should be realized and want to affect the world in positive ways, no matter their background or location.

A few highlights we have so far across the eight funds we've completed already.

We've had over 47 proposals completed with many many more in progress completing every single week, we've had over 3 500 total proposals that have made it to the ballot, and not all proposals start out great, but we give feedback actually from the community to help you improve the proposal to make it better and with the support of the community, several folks have been able to go from having just an idea to actually having their proposal funded and being able to leave their day job.

It's been amazing to see it in the ecosystem for project catalyst, we've had over a million votes over 5200, closer to 55 000 actual members on the platform with 91 countries participating at least and getting closer to 100.

projects can span domains such as d5, climate and dap integrations, and thanks to catalyst funding with a previous project that was completed, you can now use a to pay on wordpress.

This type of integration has profound implications for using cardano in the world. We've seen. Local communities in mozambique have better access to housing, and you can now deploy continuous code review solutions for smart contracts.

Catalyst is putting ideas into action. Every three months. Project catalyst produces a fresh pipeline of technical business, creative and community focused projects all voted for and funded by the community, and with each funding round the community presents challenges across a range of subjects related to cardano.

These are then answered by the community who submit project proposals to solve those challenges. The community then votes on which proposals should receive funding.

And here's a little bit on how project catalyst the community is different. It's fast and innovative, every three months project, catalyst funds, hundreds of projects across d5, climate, ssi and dabs.

The most recent fund offered 16 million in grants and community rewards.

No other innovation fund works so fast to solve external problems and it's the most decentralized utilizing input, outputs governance side chain for voting on automation, project catalyst is not just the largest decentralized innovation front in the world. It's the most decentralized, it's globally inclusive.

Nearly 100 countries have participated in project catalyst, whether you're a seasoned developer, blockchain, enthusiast or new to the industry. Catalyst is welcome and accessible to all, and it's community driven.

The cardano community is at the heart of project catalyst from the challenges and proposals to solve them to the voting and funding selection. Everything is driven by collaboration.

We've actually funded 581. The slide says it's actually closer to a thousand projects in 91 countries and as a community driven incubator project, catalyst has awarded over 12.8 million aida to 581 projects from over 91 countries and by the end of 2022.

Catalyst, aims to have a presence in over 100 countries and were on course to fund over 2 500. Individual projects spanning domains such as d5 dap, integrations b2c, b2b solutions and community initiatives throughout africa and latin america.

And catalyst has decentralized decision making to produce better outcomes and across innovation in blockchain. The decisions on which most projects get funding are often made behind closed doors direction. Setting is hidden made by a handful of individuals who have ulterior motives, have restricted funding criteria at input output, we believe in transparency, accountability and a voice for all we're doing governance with the door wide open.

So I invite you to come, join project, catalyst and project catalyst, decentralized decision making sidesteps many of the pitfalls that these traditional, centralized innovation or grant funds are using. No one does innovation like project catalyst.

Now it's a great time to get involved. Fund9 has actually just kicked off and we have 16 million in ada that's available in fund9, so you can now submit your proposal for funding or proposing a future challenge.

Nine, just a few of our challenges that we have in this particular fund, so we have 11 of them spanning across a broad spectrum of domains, including one native challenge, with carter shift includes dap and product integrations, dows, cross chain collaboration, legal and financial implications, developer ecosystem expansion into africa and east asia.

We have a great migration from ethereum, so there's 500, 000 ada available to support your proposal to help make that happen for cardano, and we also have our catalyst native challenge for carter shift and they're, giving away 200 000 in clap tokens.
