From YouTube: Browsers 3000: Welcome & Intro - Dietrich Ayala
Description
Browsers 3000 is a six-week virtual event to explore and accelerate the development of web3 in the browser through experimentation and challenge prizes of up to $20,000 worth of Filecoin (FIL). Learn more at https://events.protocol.ai/2021/browsers3000.

A
Hello,
everybody
welcome
to
browsers
3000
the
summit,
I'm
dietrich
ayala,
I'm
going
to
be
your
mcn
host
today
before
we
start
in
with
a
unbelievable
slate
of
speakers
who
are
working
on
changing
this
browser
world
that
we
live
in
a
couple
of
things:
welcome
to
the
ipfs
community.
We're
super
happy
to
host
this
event
and
we
are
abiding
by
the
rpps
community
code
of
conduct.
There's
a
link
here
on
the
screen.
A
Please
treat
each
other
nicely
be
very
appreciative
of
the
folks
that
have
come
to
speak
to
you
today
as
well
as
for
the
rest
of
this
event,
I'll
talk
a
little
bit
about
that
in
a
sec,
but
this
is
a
six
week
event
starting
today,
so
you
will
see
a
bunch
of
different
people
from
a
bunch
of
different
communities
hanging
out
building
things
together,
treat
each
other.
Well,
so,
yes,
I'm
dietrich,
I'm
the
I
profess
ecosystem
leader
protocol
labs.
I
actually
come
from
browser
land.
I
was
working
on
firefox
for
many
many
years.
A
I
kept
hearing
language
that
felt
similar
to
how
I
felt
about
the
web
from
communities
like
the
ethereum
developer
community,
and
I
talked
a
little
bit
about
how
to
build
bridges
between
these
worlds.
How
do
we
bring
the
distributed
world
into
the
web
and
web
browser
world
still
doing
that
mission
today
at
protocol
labs?
A
A
A
So
today,
you're
gonna
hear
from
a
bunch
of
the
different
projects
and
the
people
that
are
making
the
web
that
we
actually
want
to
see,
and
after
today,
for
another
six
weeks,
we'll
be
hacking
and
building
together
the
browser's
3000
hackathon
six
weeks
long.
There
will
be
learning
sessions
each
week,
a
bunch
from
the
speakers
that
you're
going
to
hear
from
today.
A
So
if
you
want
to
learn
more
check
out
the
schedule
on
the
website-
and
you
can
come
and
learn
in
a
learning
session-
learn
how
to
build
using
their
technologies,
learn
how
to
hack,
browsers
hack
the
web
and
make
the
feature
that
you
want
to
see
at
the
end
of
six
weeks,
we'll
be
judging
prize.
Judging
the
projects,
there'll
be
a
bunch
of
different
prizes
and
we'll
have
a
demo
day.
A
So
we
will
show
off
your
projects
that
you
build
during
this
time
a
couple
of
the
judges
that
are
going
to
be
helping
us
out
and
determine
the
winners
of
hackathon
from
the
projects
they're
in
here
from
today
as
well,
that
is
through
august
19th,
and
this
is
a
code
that
will
take
you
to
the
discord.
Come
hang
out
with
us.
There
thanks
everybody.
