IPFS / IPFS Content Routing WG

IPNI Operators feedback, go-DHT refactoring well underway on probelab, Bifrost is skipping kubo v0.21 to roll-out v0.22, preparing to distribute traffic for IPNI(IPFS stewards supporting ambient discovery)

CLI updates to IPNI, IPFS /routing/v1 update to Kubo v0.23, Bifrost continued v0.21 rollout. Delegated double hashing and ambient discovery on the horizon, but when requires further discussion.

The team discusses content routing improvements to IPFS nodes including bootstrap node persistence released with Kubo v0.21, the state of deployment of the new Kubo version across the Bifrost cluster, and ongoing architectural efforts on IPNI. Additionally we address handling HTTP records for supporting multiple routers.

Various IPIP’s on aspects of delegated routing, upcoming Kubo RC and it’s default content routing stance. IPNI is testing distributed DB’s. Also, the IPNI HTTP provider specification is up for review!

A moment of silence for the Hydras, and a response plan to get bridging functionality restored. Content blocking from IPFS gateways, and Delegated Routing /Puts(enabling IPFS nodes to advertise to IPNI without running Providers)

IPNI go-lib-ipni API refactoring major release v0.6, DHT refactor and DoubleHash implementation, IPFS autodiscovery of IPNI nodes and ranking.
