Join us as we kick off 2021 with some very big plans!

Our featured speakers this month will be Kadir Topal and David Choi from the IPFS planning team, who will be giving us an update on what’s in store for the project this year along with a breakdown of our planning process. We will also be getting an update from Dr. Ian Preston, of Peergos, a decentralised protocol and open-source platform for storage, social media and applications. Last year Peergos was the recipient of the EU Next Generation Internet grant, so we can’t wait to hear what their plans include for 2021. But that’s not all! You never know what might happen at an IPFS event, so stick around.

Schedule
9:00 AM - Welcome and Intro - Jessica Schilling (IPFS)
9:05 AM - David Choi & Kadir Topal (IPFS)
9:20 AM - Dr. Ian Preston (Peergos)
9:35 AM - Victor (Humanode)
9:50 AM - Matt Wisniewski (Vault74)
10:00 AM - Event Close

Participation in this event requires that you abide by the IPFS Community Code of Conduct, which you can read in full here: https://github.com/ipfs/community/blob/master/code-of-conduct.md

We believe that our mission is best served in an environment that is friendly, safe, and accepting, and free from intimidation or harassment. Towards this end, certain behaviors and practices will not be tolerated. We're here to help.

A highlight of all of the awesome things that have happened around IPFS in Q2 of 2020.

For those of you who are maybe joining us for the first time, IPFS is aiming to make the web work peer to peer. So instead of working with a central server and a location addressed way of finding and accessing information in the HTTP model, IPFS directly connects machines with each other so that they can directly interoperate and share data with each other.
