Description
Jenkins Advocacy and Outreach SIG met today. Topics included Jenkins Roadmap, CDF Store vouchers for Jenkins swag, Twitter analytics, Jenkins Area Meetup progress, Google Summer of Code, and the Jenkins LinkedIn account with over 3800 followers
A
Welcome
everyone:
this
is
the
Jenkins
advocacy
and
outreach
meeting
for
the
26th
of
March
2020,
let's
review
the
agenda
and
then
work
through
it.
So
I
had
put
on
the
agenda.
Zoom
accounts
as
a
possible
topic,
assuming
that
that's
one
for
discussion,
jenkins
area,
meetups,
jenkins,
road
map,
google,
Summer
of
Code
and
case
studies
plus
as
possible.
Are
there
other
topics
or
any
of
those
topics
that
should
be
deleted?
A
B
Got
a
couple
of
topics:
just
one
is
I
wanted
to
just
highlight
the
Twitter
analytics
and
what
I
think
is
a
next
step
we
can
take
and
then
I
notice,
as
Jackie's
here
I
wanted
to
highlight
CDF,
Ambassador
Program
and
also
kick
off
a
discussion
because
I've
been
looking
at
it
and
I
think
there's
some
scope
for
kind
of
taking.
What
we
had
is
the
Jenkins
ambassador
and
kind
of
evolving
it
to
be
part
of
CDF
impossible.
There's
a
few
decisions
we
need
to
make
or
discuss,
but.
C
C
Yeah,
that's
a
separate
disc,
let's
table
that
one
and
have
a
separate
discussion.
I'll
set
it
up
because
I
do
want
to
get
I
want
to
figure
out.
How
do
we
really
leverage
and
make
the
summer
bus
program
and
I
don't
want
to
step
on
the
community's
toes
I
actually
want
to
integrate
them
into
it.
So
let
me
I'll
set.
B
A
No
problem
I'm,
just
I
just
tried
to
be
because
we've
got
Tracy
only
for
a
limited
amount
of
time.
I
wanted
to
be
sure
we
get
the
hot
topics
on
the
top
of
the
stack
that
one
I
think
we
could
we
can.
We
can
certainly
do
it,
but
it
would
be
okay
if
we
did
it
later
in
the
meeting,
even
if
Tracy's,
not
here,
okay,
so
CDF
store
at
the
same.
A
A
A
C
Sorry,
all
right,
so
I
created
some
discount
codes
or
penico
already
created
some
discount
codes.
I
sent
them
over
to
Tracy,
but
I
think
that
I
need.
Let's
talk
about
it
more
because
I
think
if
I
need
to
have
them,
create
more
for
you
guys.
Just
let
me
know
and
then
I
can
send
over
the
the
discount
codes
and
you
guys
manage
them.
Yeah.
B
D
One
person
that
I
wanted
to
send
just
one
too,
but
maybe
in
terms
of
processes-
maybe
we
should
have
a
I,
don't
know
a
spreadsheet
where
we
can
mark
them
off
and
like
who
you
you
who
who
took
it
in
terms
of
which
one
of
the
Abbasid
people
took
it
and
then
who
did
you
give
it
to
and
then
we
mark
it
off,
I,
don't
know
sort
of
use
the
honor
system
on
that
I.
Don't
I
think
that
might
be
the
best
way
to
do
it.
C
That's
fine
I
can
do
that.
I
can
good
I.
Think
I've
only
had
like
10
cent
created
I'll
have
pinnacle,
create
more
and
basically
the
way
it
works.
I,
don't
know
if
I
reviewed
this
with
you
guys
yet
wait.
Basically
like
say
you
wanted
a
pair
of
spinnaker
socks,
you
just
give
them
the
code
for
socks
and
it's
a
one-time
use
only
and
then
they
go
and
use
it
and
it
gets
shipped
directly
to
them.
So
we
cover
the
cost
of
the
socks
and
the
cost
of
the
shipping.
C
B
D
C
I
have
I
already
have
an
excel
sheet
that
pinnacle
shared
with
me,
so
I'll
share
it
with
you
guys
and
then
I
think.
All
we
need
to
do
is
probably
add
a
couple
more
columns
to
like
who
received
it,
who
gave
it
away
and
then
but
I'll
just
share
it
with
you
guys
right
now
and
then
what
I'll
do
is
I'll
have
pinnacle,
continue,
adding
the
discount
codes
to
that
same
excel
sheet,
and
then
you
guys
have
access
to
it
and
then
I,
don't,
like
you
said:
it'll,
be
an
honor
system
and
we
manage
it.
D
D
E
One
comment
about
the
park,
so
I
understand
it.
Now
we
use
the
code.
So
basically
we
sent
a
pair
of
socks
to
whomever
receives
it
right.
It
would
be
nice
if
we
could
use,
or
maybe
a
box
or
would
say
socks.
Couple
of
stickers
and
kind
of.
Thank
you
message
show
later
because
a
bit
more
efficient.
So
do
we
have
something
like
that
in
principle.
C
We,
let's
talk
about,
maybe
creating
a
separate
kit
for
that,
because
and
then
we
can.
What
we
want
to
talk
to
pinnacle
about
is
actually
creating
a
code
and
basically
that
code
is
for
like
I'm
calling
it
like
the
Ambassador
kid
just
as
an
example,
and
then
it
comes
in
a
box,
that's
all
branded
with
our
design
and
then,
like
you
said
it
has
stickers,
they
have
socks.
C
E
B
B
E
A
B
C
B
D
E
E
C
A
B
You
know
them
of
impressions
per
tweet
and
all
sorts
of
different
kind
of
analytics
info.
So
the
categories
and
I
think
I
said
a
chart
where
I
think
the
right
ones
is
called
an
organic
analyst
who
have
access
to
all
the
data,
but
you
can't
necessarily
wrong
panes
and
it's
a
bit
adcentral
centric
long
story,
short
I
thought.
What
should
basically
do
is
have
every
twitter
contributor
who
has
to
TweetDeck
should
also
be
given
access
to
the
Twitter
analytics
and
then
I
know
Tyler
had
some
concerns
in
the
past
that
you
know
it's
important.
B
These
analytics
are
not
used
by
specific
companies
or
they
always
shared
with
the
community,
and
that
data
is
kind
of
made
open
and
the
output
is
used
to
help
the
community.
So,
with
that
caveat
that
people
have
that
responsibility
with
the
data,
we
then
give
people
access
and
then
maybe
we
added
monthly
to
this
meeting
to
look
at
that
data.
Draw
some
conclusions
and
share
that
with
the
community.
E
B
And
just
for
reference,
a
thing
I
used
to
do
is
I
used
to
bug
Tyler
every
month
to
download
the
monthly
report
and
then
Olivier
would
save
it
somewhere
and
then
I
would
do
some
analysis,
but
it
was
just
too
kind
of
heavy
weight
and
it
relied
on
kind
of
me
bugging
Tyler.
So
I
think
this
would
be
kind
of
a
better
set
up
where
people
can
go
in
look
at
their
tweets,
see
what's
being
effective,
see
what's
getting,
you
know,
spreading
the
word
and
what's
just
kind
of
being
ignored,
it.
A
B
E
D
D
E
D
E
So
I'm
doing
some
small
progress
regarding
it,
helped
in
Europe
and
I
reached
out
to
organizers
to
get
feedback.
Whether
somebody
is
interested
organizer.
We
are
finding
one
online
without
monkey
in
my
monkey
nerves.
So
there
is
some
progress,
but
it's
the
progress
is
definitely
slower
than
I
would
like
to
and
the
separate
stream
of
work.
For
me,
it's
something
we've
already
discussed
in
this
week
having
an
announcement
for
meet-up
organizers
about
about
Kovac,
19
situation
and
recommendation
to
this
show
and
basically
offering
helped
reduce
our
existing
framework,
because
we
have
gently
some
magnet
up.
E
We
can
host
meetups
if
you
needed
and
flu
zone,
so
we
if
somebody
wants
to
organize
and
line
it
up,
we
can
help
them
by
providing
platform.
So
I
have
an
extra
night
remember
to
write
it
down,
but
after
that
probably
will
need
help
from
CDF
to
send
a
message
to
all
meet
up
organizers
because
results.
Yet
we
have
no
definition
to
do
that.
C
B
B
But
I
know
CDF
we're
having
lots
of
conversations
about
you
know
virtual
strategy,
so
I
think
this
will
fit
in
really
nicely
to
that,
so
like
just
send
it
over
to
Jackie
so
she's
yeah.
C
E
B
Mark
not
on
this
topic,
but
I
just
remembered
another
topic:
I
want
to
sneak
in
if
I
can
right
yeah.
So
this
is
just
a
very
early,
so
something
we're
doing
in
CDF
now
is
there's
a
kind
of
subcommittee
of
the
Outreach
Committee,
which
is
focused
on
projects
and
one
thing
we're
driving.
There
is
like
themes
around
the
newsletter,
so
I've
got
on
the
hook
to
create
a
github
repo,
which
sort
of
sort
outlines
like
you
know.
April's
theme
will
be.
B
This
may
seem
will
be
that,
but
then
what
we're
looking
for
is
folks
to
write,
specific
articles
and
suggest
future
themes.
So
long
story,
short
I,
think
in
May
the
theme
is
going
to
be
ml,
ops
and
I
wanted
to
see
if
we
could
find
somebody
who
could
write
an
article
on
Jenkins
and
ml
ops,
and
if
there
was
somebody
who
was
running
like
a
jisub
project
which
had
ml
ops
in
it
and
I,
don't
know
if
there's
anyone
in
the
room
like
that
long
story
short.
B
E
E
E
B
E
E
E
B
E
E
So
once
we
have
a
road
map
in
place,
I
think
that
it
will
take
one
to
two
months
to
have
it
finalized
and
to
make
it
big
announced
once
we
have
it
announced
he
is
that
into
something
we
could
promote.
Faciliate
resources
as
well,
because
I
think
it
would
be
a
major
milestone
for
the
Jenkins
project
to
have
something
in
place.
We
have
never
had
it
before.
A
So
just
as
my
my
my
note,
the
platform
special
interest
group
met
this
morning
and
brought
in
six
or
seven
or
eight
different
items,
most
of
them
already
on
the
roadmap
that
draft
that
o
Leggett
proposed,
but
they
agreed
that
they
were
good
roadmap
items.
They
included
things
like
specific
platforms,
specific
initiatives
around
JD,
K's
things
that
I
think
the
community
will
find
both
interesting
and
useful.
E
C
I
do
but
I'll
follow
up
with
you
guys
on
the
Summer
of
Code,
because
I
need
to
get
caught
up
on
how
do
I
help
out
as
a
admin
and
I
think
Tracy
might
have
said
that
we
would
sink
with
a
leg.
So
just
FYI
on
that,
because
I
on
the
cdf
side,
the
balls
been
dropped
his
program,
so
we
need
to
you,
know,
get
it
up
and
going
and
start
helping
folks
so
yeah
that
that's
all
I
had
to
say
about
that.
But
I
got
a
drop,
so
I'll
follow
up
with
you
all
like.
A
D
E
Know,
okay,
yeah
I
just
asked
whether
we
should
invite
the
jenkins
or
cutting
in
some
mentors
there,
because
right
now,
it's
only
me
in
this
channel.
It
was
created
by
Casey
yesterday
just
to
facilitate
communication
on
the
orchid
inside.
Is
it
a
private
channel?
Yes,
it's
a
private
channel.
You
can
invite
me
out.
I'll
definitely
go
there
that
is
jsoc
channel,
basically
equivalent
of
our
public
jisub
channel,
another
salsa
mentor
channel,
which
is
they
speak.
We
wouldn't
of
our
mentor
and
often
in
Middle
East.
At
the
same
time,
okay,.
D
E
Let's
move
forward
in
JSOC:
yes,
please,
okay,
so
for
jin-seok
one
major
update,
so
we
have
other
good
meetings
so,
where
I've
been
just
provide
quick
summary,
they
were
changes
in
the
timeline,
so
coding
period
will
start
in
June
coming
independent
will
start
in
me.
Basically,
it's
back
to
the
common
schedule,
because
this
year
the
plan
was
start
a
bit
earlier.
E
What
doesn't
change
is
student
application
deadline?
So
it's
still
March
31st.
So
five
days
on
the
Jenkins
item,
you've
got
a
number
of
proposals,
got
a
number
of
strong
proposals
and
hopefully
we'll
have
a
great
JSOC,
obviously
covered
90
inspirational
supplies.
So
we've
been
asked
by
able
to
increase
mental
chef
capacity
and
increased
redundancy
project.
So
what
we
decided
on
the
order
inside
is
to
target
three
mental
state
project
as
default
instead
of
2
would
be
had
last
year
and
it
will
be
a
part
of
our
students
friction
at
the
in
April.
E
D
D
May
have
we
may
have
a
little
bit
of
concern
with
the
jinkins
X
projects.
I
guess,
there's
some
internal
stuff
going
on
and
I.
Don't
know,
I
just
found
out
about
that
yesterday,
yeah
I'm
forcing
them
to
give
me
some
more
information,
because
I
find
it
extremely
unsettling
from
us
for
students
that
have
submitted
proposals
for
this
and
it
showed
interest
to
just
have
them.
Did
you
know
proposals
and
then
pull
the
rug
out
from
under
them?
I
find
that
not
acceptable
yeah.
D
D
E
D
D
All
have
them
submit
them
today.
One
of
the
things
that
I
find
concerning
is
well
I've
done.
Reviews
all
of
my
reviews
are
now
dependent
upon
James
stretchin.
To
do
a
review,
I
did
not.
I
was
not
aware
of
that
until
yesterday
that
he
has
to
approve
everything.
What
that's?
What
I
found
out
yesterday
yeah
this
internal.
E
A
So
I
am
going
to
do
a
Oleg,
Oleg
and
I
had
a
conversation
earlier
today
that
highlighted
that
we
could
benefit
by
more
more
mentors
in
a
number
of
places.
I'm
gonna
put
out
some
attempts
on
social
media
to
encourage
additional
mentors
to
subscribe,
to,
in
my
case,
to
get
plug-in
project
ideas,
but
I
think
that's
a
general
technique.
We
should
consider
inviting
more
people
who
are
contributors
because
with
Koga
at
19
we
need
more
more
dev.
We.
E
Talked
to
his
mentor
about
it
several
times,
I
wasn't
pushing
too
much
in
them.
It's
again
because
I've
covered
19,
because
at
some
point
people
gonna
really
show
whether
Jae
Seok
is
going
to
happen
now.
I
believe
that
it's
going
to
happen,
we
still
need
to
do
some
promotion.
But
yes,
right
now,
we
mostly
target
mentors
for
the
projects
where
we
don't
have
enough
mentorship
capacity,
because
we
can
do
a
final
call
for
student
applications.
E
But,
let's
be
honest,
there
is
quite
low
probability
with
a
student
that
comes
out
of
five
days
before
the
deadline
is
a
great
proposal
which
we
are
able
to
review
and
I
said
and
then
which
university
it
might
be
possible
for
projects
where
we
don't
have
some
good
applications
already.
So
writing
some
messaging,
so
they
I'm
behind
all
the
action.
Icons
and
I
will
represent
it
in
the
mailing
list,
but
specifically
for
proposals
where
you
don't
have
applications
right
now.
A
E
E
Yeah
they'd
be
that
if
we
all
whether
you
have
applications
and
particular
areas,
one
we
internally
consider
with
these
applications,
something
you
would
like
to
have.
So
it's
not
something
we
can
discuss
publicly,
but
yeah,
obviously
or
convenience,
and
members
already
started
reviewing
proposals,
so
they
have
their
own
preference
list
and
giving
the
next
file
is,
as
we
just
been
to
this
Rankin
and
making
decisions.
So
the
current
feasible
strategy
is
to
encourage
proposals
and
areas
where
we
do
have
applications
so
but
remain
and
get
applications
today.
E
And
then,
if
you
have
additional
mentorship
capacity
or
additional
slots,
it
becomes
more
feasible
there
so
yeah.
If
somebody
wants
to
come
up
with
proposal,
any
project
Peggy
is
fine,
but
it's
a
question
about
what
we
promote,
because,
for
example,
we
can
promote
machine
learning
project
now,
please
apply,
but
how
many
students
you
already
have
marking
something
else,
something
like
16.
There
are
many
students
yeah,
so
okay,
yeah.
What's
the
point
of
promoting
that
yeah.
A
A
D
D
E
So,
regarding,
historically,
we
have
an
organization
there.
Kiki
has
created
it
2010
or
something
like
that.
So
I'll
just
open
my
profile
yeah.
So
what
is
Jenkins
project
organization
there,
but
this
organization
historically
wasn't
really
mean
things.
So
if
you
go
there,
you
can
see
that
basically,
there
is
no
posts.
E
E
For
example,
if
we
talk
about
the
google
Summer
of
Code
enough
about
other
items
for
sale
for
this
year,
but
still
by
doing
promotion,
we
can
have
traditionally
worked
all
we
could
just
configure
pfft
and
just
forward
tweets
there
again
additional
three
Thomas
for
free,
so
I
spent
some
time
I
put
from
the
governance
meeting
yesterday
for
me
to
get
admin
permissions.
There
I
put
an
intermission
spare
because
apparently
a
Kiki
was
owner,
so
I
got
made
quicker
and
now
I
just
have
some
ideas.
What
to
do.
But
this
ad
is
a
pretty
straightforward.
E
I
would
say
so
just
to
do
some
facelift
to
update
obsolete
text,
for
example,
until
yesterday,
the
page
still
into
slave
in
the
description,
yep,
so
minor
thing,
but
it's
fixed.
We
could
set
up
some
repos.
One
of
the
ways
is
to
just
approach
it
Twitter
contact
management.
Think
and
the
approach
is
just
completely
50
or
something
like
that.
To
be
honest,
my
preference
would
be
torso
that,
because
you
have
limited
capacity
on
this,
somebody
is
a
strong,
clean,
Cajun
fun
because
in
my
case,
I
open
this
between
once
a
week
or
something
like
that.
E
A
E
D
E
And
I
actually
did
the
same
and
intentionally
because
I
had
a
Jenkins
board
member
to
released
I
forgot
to
uncheck,
Santa
notification
and
I
have
got
something
like
100.
Congratulations,
a
bunch
of
can't
respond!
Can't
congratulations
from
people!
Oh
sorry,
I'm,
not
removing
Chad's,
but
the
adaptable
is
anything
except
headhunters
aware,
but
okay,
so
still
in
Kadena
is
something
we
could
use
as
an
additional
engine.
Why
not
right
yeah.
E
D
E
Well,
well,
good
to
have
you
in
the
junkies
project,
which
is
about
automation,
so
yeah
in
principle
is
something
we
can
do.
Yeah
I
think
they
just
configuring
a
54
limiting
and
the
same
for
Facebook
wouldn't
hurt.
So
let's
just
do
it
and
if
you
have
any
other
ideas
how
we
could
use
link
it
in?
Why
not
I
put
something
like:
can
they
contribute
a
job
opening
but
I'm,
not
sure
whether
it's
possible?
E
Excellent
yeah,
thank
so
like
yeah,
so
just
a
minor
thing,
but
yeah.
So
for
me,
it's
sort
of
a
playground
for
each
key
to
be
honest,
but
I
think
that
I
will
get
it
over
the
line.
I
mean
after
the
JSOC
submission
deadline,
because,
right
now
a
significant
part
of
my
capacity
goes
there
and
the
a
firefighter
engine
can
score
great.
Thank
you.
