From YouTube: Advocacy and Outreach SIG 2019 08 01
Description
Jenkins advocacy and outreach special interest group meeting from Aug 1, 2019.
A
I've
got
in
some
actions
but
feel
free
to.
If
there's
something
pressing,
let
me
know-
and
we
can
add
it
into
the
agenda
and
if
there's
any
highlights
from
last
week,
I
don't
think
I've
gone
through
the
previous
actions.
You
can
call
this
out,
so
the
main
focus
from
my
side
was
a
lot
of
the
events
related
to
the
Jenkins
at
DevOps,
world
Incans.
Well,
the
contributor
summit
and
I
think
we've
got
on
their
community
bridge
update
from
Oleg.
So
before
we
start
going
into
that.
Are
there
any
other
kind
of
main
topics?
B
A
A
A
D
A
Okay,
yes
good
point:
Martin
will
be
there
so
I'll
ask
him
I'll
reach
out
to
him
about
gee
sock
and
then
a
touch
I
can
speak
Steven
on
the
pipe
2010
plating
and
machi
on
scanning,
and
then
from
there
we
can
just
kind
of
find
common
topics
or
areas.
People
want
to
explore
further
perfect,
that's
cool.
B
B
C
You
could
bring
me
down
for
that.
I
can
I
can
do
that
and
I'll
synch
with
you,
maybe
but
prior
to
you,
traveling
and
I'll
get
you
know
some
I
want
to
attend.
More
I
haven't
attended
as
much
as
I'd
like
to
but
I'll
sing
to
you
to
get
us.
You
know
start
getting
a
slide
deck
together
and
then
I
can
speak
to
that
great.
C
C
A
All
right,
okay,
just
putting
some
action
items
for
me
to
follow
up
on
perfect.
That
sounds
great.
Okay.
Let's
move
on
to
actually
just
before.
We
finish
that
I
think
I
may
have
mentioned
it,
but
just
for
good
measure
for
those
who
are
attending
there
will
be
a
contributor
appreciation
event
that
evening
so
plan
to
attend.
A
You
will
get
an
email,
we're
not
publicizing
it
widely
because
of
gate
crashes
in
the
past,
so
you'll
get
an
email
kind
of
sending
you
details
and
yet
Mark
would
definitely
love
you
if
you
can
enjoy
after
thing
after
the
training.
So
they'll
be
great:
okay,
moving
on
to
Jenkins
a
DevOps
all
Jenkins
world,
so
there
is
a
community
booth
there
and
I
believe
Alissa
has
set
the
program,
for
that.
B
Oleg
and
I
had
done
a
talk
last
year
on
platform,
progress
and
used
it
as
a
great
excuse
to
highlight
the
community's
advancement
of
things
like
Java
11
release
draft
or
depend
upon
all
sorts
of
things
that
we've
done
initiative.
Wise
and
I.
Had
the
action
item
previously
and
was
delayed
on
it
to
ask
to
get
a
slot
in
that
to
do
a
pitch
on
a
10-minute
pitch
or
15-minute
pitch
on
platform.
Progress
I
was
intending
to
just
grab
some
of
all
leg.
Slides,
combine
them
together
with
something
I,
might
add
and
then
present
that.
A
So
we
kind
of
put
down
each
CDF
project
with
a
45-minute
room,
and
the
idea
was
actually
just
to
put
the
banner
off
hey,
Jenkins
people,
let's
get
together
and
let's
kind
of
bring
together.
Whatever
topic
we
want
to
discuss,
everybody
can
make
suggestions
in
the
beginning,
then
we
sort
of
post-it
note
vote
and
then
we
go
through
kind
of
either
lightning
talks
or
demos
or
discussion
points.
A
B
A
I
think
the
topic
sounds
like
it
would
be.
It
would
go
down
very
well
in
terms
of
well,
it
sort
of
depends
on
the
audience,
because
sometimes
you
get
as
Andrew
Beier
tells
me
everybody
who
wants
their
pipelines
fixed
and
don't
care
about
anything
else,
but
potentially
that
could
be
good
alright.
So
let
me
so.
B
C
A
And
we
were
going
to
take
an
approach,
perhaps
that
we
would
have
people
would
sign
up
topics
the
day
before
at
the
booth.
So
we'd
have
like
a
sheet
of
paper
and
then
people
could
propose
topics,
and
then
people
equally
could
vote
on
things
so
maybe
going
into
it.
We
don't
spend
the
whole
time
kind
of
organizing,
but
just
a
few
minutes.
C
A
That
is
amazing
because
it's
basically
Kara,
and
so
my
team
had
suggested
it
and
I
kind
of
said.
Okay
sounds
good,
I,
don't
really
know
I've
been
to
one
before,
which
was
not
very
effective
at
another
conference.
So
having
someone
who
has
seen
what
an
effect
his
face
looks
like
okay,
consider
yourself
signed
up
yeah.
B
A
A
C
A
A
A
Next
bit
is
the
booth
collateral,
so
this
was
a
request
from
Alissa
who
I
was
hoping
could
join,
but
she's
been
pretty
swamped
this
week
she
was
looking
for
ideas,
for
we
normally
have
these
post
cards
at
the
booth
and
I
think
last
year.
It
was
along
the
lines
of
superpowers,
but
it's
kind
of
like
what
key
messaging
do
we
want
people
to
take
away?
What
should
they
focus
on?
Maybe
what
QR
codes
two
key
sites
on
Jenkins?
You
know
if
there's
anything
in
the
community
you
were
trying
to
draw
attention
to.
A
C
A
D
A
D
F
D
D
Three
months,
so
we
created
together
channel
will
be
created
and
other
things
the
rejection
item
to
have
a
project
page
most
like
it
will
be
under
Jake
asked
sub-project.
So
you'll
have
a
sub
page
for
this
project
and
yeah
I'll.
Make
sure
that
it's
in
from
advocacy
and
outreach
somehow
and
one
of
hopeful
of
action
items
is
to
have
a
job
draft
which
just
documents
the
process
me
defined
as
a
template
for
the
projects.
D
D
E
A
D
A
I
guess
it's
just
worth
saying:
I
met
with
the
folks
who
are
developing
it
at
the
Linux
Foundation,
so
that
was
Cara
and
myself
and
they
gave
us
a
walkthrough
of
all
the
different
things.
They're
planning,
it's
pretty
cool
I
think
it's
still
pretty
raw
in
some
places,
so
they're
trying
to
work
out
how
to
prioritize
different
things,
but
they
have
the
different
pages
so
and
I
think
Oleg.
You
might
have
seen
this.
A
So
the
whole
idea
of
the
platform
is
that
it
will
integrate
lots
of
things
so,
for
instance,
they
intend
to
have
like
sneak
security
scanning
integrated,
there's
a
bug
in
it.
So
you
won't
see
it
at
the
moment,
but
in
the
future
it
will
start
highlighting
kind
of
all
the
security
warnings
from
that,
and
then
they
connect
up
to
this
other
page
called
stack
share
where
people
sort
of
say
with
the
self-report,
whether
they're
using
it
in
their
stack
like
Jenkins
in
their
stack.
So
then
it
starts
showing
kind
of
adoption
in
a
different
way.
D
D
A
F
A
I'm
I'm
you
I
was
just
gonna
say
we
have
dealt,
we
kind
of
went
on
to
the
DevOps
wall,
Jenkins
world
topics,
so
I,
don't
know.
If
you
wanted
to
revisit.
We
had
some
good
suggestions
for
things
around
the
booth
collateral,
specifically
advertising
all
the
different
working
groups,
the
sakes
and
then
who
are
codes
to
that.
So
I
think
that
will
be
kind
of
a
nice
idea
we
can
tie
in
okay.
So
who
can
help
me
pull
that
together?
Who
will
provide
all
the
content?
A
F
And
then
so
I
so
I
just
want
to
mention
on
a
related
topic,
but
I
got
your
email
mark
for
the
platform,
sig
I'm
waiting
for
a
confirmation.
So
right
now
we
don't
have
slots
available,
but
I'm
waiting
for
confirmation
from
a
person
who
hasn't
registered
and
hasn't
responded.
So
I'm,
not
sure
if
he's
gonna
be
at
the
conference.
Speaking
I
gave
him
until
tomorrow
end
of
day
to
let
me
know
so.
If
he's
not
going
to
be
able
to
make
it
then
we'll
be
able
to
fit
you
in
okay.
B
F
F
I
think
the
only
thing
left
for
me
so
the
collateral.
So
this
is
a
good
starting
point
and
then
a
rolling
deck.
You
know
how
we
have
the
the
rolling
deck
to
help
promote.
You
know
to
talk
about
what's
happening
at
the
within
our
booth,
so
so
Tracy
would
you
have
last
year's
deck
that
you
can
send
me
and
then
we'll
just
update
that
I?
Yes,.
A
To
the
first,
a
bit
I
do
have
it
I
sent
it
to
you,
I'm,
not
sure
it's
that
reusable,
because
some
of
the
things
in
there
have
not
progressed
right.
What
it
might
be
good
to
do
is
maybe,
if
we
can
get
folks
here
to
reach
out
to
the
community
and
get
like
one
page
on
gee
sock
and
then
I
can
provide
like
one
page
and
outreach
e
and
I
can
get
mad
seeker
to
help
with
that
yeah.
So
we
just
kind
of
dish
out
the
one
pages
on
all
the
various
things
happening.
Yes,.
F
B
F
So
if
sudden,
you
recall
at
the
at
the
community
booth,
we
have
several
screens
so
it'll
be
the
same
format
this
year,
and
so
the
the
the
goal
is
that
you
know.
While
the
screen
is
idle,
that
we
have
this
rolling
deck,
it's
like
a
marketing
deck
basically,
and
we
would
play
that
on
those
screens
when
those
screens
are
not
being
used
and.
A
So
it
was
talking
about
the
five
super
power
projects
and
meet
the
ambassadors,
but
I
think
the
approach
for
this
year
would
be
most
sync
focused,
but
we
could
keep
some
things
in,
like
maybe
everlean
it
provides.
An
update
for
configuration
is
code
mark
if
we
got
something
a
one-page
on
platform.
Sig
highlights
I,
think
platform.
D
D
F
A
A
D
So
it's
another
heads-up
Oktoberfest.
Yet
asleep
you
don't
happen
this
year,
a
surprising
bit
it'll
happen
in
October
as
usual
and
yeah.
They
are
going
to
start
announcements
and
preparing
everything
you
know
early
September,
but
basically,
last
year
we
had
a
positive
experience
with
several
meetups
revenant
around
Oktoberfest.
So
maybe
this
year
we
could
facilitate
this
topic
in
the
community.
Earlier,
maybe
send
message
to
meet
up
organizers
and
whatever
so
that
you
can
organize
money
talks
even
hotter
about
the
same
time
yeah.
That
sounds
good.
D
Yes,
oh
yeah,
it's
probably
a
topic
to
discuss
after
this
whole.
So
at
the
next
meeting,
I
was
going
to
happen.
Yeah
we
already
have
a
discussion
about
hug
fest
or
whatever
it's
called
around
the
g-shot
mentor
summit,
because
you'll
have
several
people
in
may
need,
including
me
and
Marquis
and
distension.
So
hopefully
we
will
get
organized
and
there
may
be
something.
This
isn't.
I'm,
not
sure
time
allows
I
mean
if
anybody
else
is
interested
organize
universities,
please
just
do
it.
D
So
basically
Oktoberfest
is
online
event,
but
Oktoberfest
also
encourages
local
community
organizers
from
onset
events.
So
basically,
it's
just
a
happy
tone
focusing
on
a
few
particular
projects
with
some
introductions
overview,
so
the
hot
rubber
trees
etc
and
some
demos
in
the
end.
So
what
I'm
going
to
do
this
year?
I
want
to
just
harvest
on
the
morning
and
then
community
up
on
Damien
if
living
yellows,
so
that
we
can
come
on
what
activities
but
yeah
the
framework
easier
to
be
defined,
and
basically
it
really
depends
on
meet
apparent
answers.
D
Consciousness
almost
hurt
so
good.
First,
we
go
down
to
for
TE
contributors
in
the
agendas
organization.
Unfortunately,
this
year
was
unable
to
calculate
it
properly
because
they
stopped
acquire
Oktoberfest
label.
So
maybe
we
put
more
than
40,
but
they
cannot
see
for
sure
and
also
it's
not
bad
yeah.
