From YouTube: Jenkins Advocacy and Outreach SIG, Feb 10, 2022
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
All
right,
hi,
everybody
welcome
to
the
jenkins
advocacy
and
outreach
sig.
Today
is
february
10th
on
the
agenda.
We
are
going
to
discuss
about
the
the
outreach
program
web
page
that
was
suggested
by
jean-marc
we're
going
to
discuss
about
gsoc
cdcon.
She
code,
africa,
devops
world
and
jenkins
online
meetups.
Are
there
anything
else
that
we
should
add
to
the
agenda.
B
A
C
B
C
A
Okay,
no
problem
all
right,
so
the
g
stock
program
application
is
currently
open.
So
it's
it's
closing
on
february,
21st
march
7th
is
the
list
of
accepted
mentoring
organization
will
be
published.
A
We
so
I
have
drafted
up
the
response
to
the
application
so
jean-marc.
Do
you
want
to
give
us
an
update
on
where
we
are
with
the
pull
request
for
that.
B
C
B
So
alyssa
on
that,
what
you've
got
is
you've
got
the
the
proposed
hey.
Here's.
The
here
are
our
responses
to
the
application
questions
john
mark
will
submit
the
pull
request
to
jenkins.io,
so
it'll
be
publicly
visible
and
then
sometime
next
week,
you'll
use
those
responses
to
submit
to
the
actual
google
summer
of
code
application.
Is
that
right.
A
Yeah,
that's
absolutely
spot
on
great
yeah,
so
I
would
like
to
get
that
done
way
before
the
the
closing
of
the
application
process
for
organizers.
So
so
yes.
B
Yeah
now
I've
got
beef
and
before
we
submit
I've
got
to
update
the
the
get
cash
project.
We've
now
got
three
mentors
volunteered
for
it,
so
chris
stern
and
rashad
are
both
volunteered
for
it.
In
addition
to
me,
and
we've
got
some
more
details,
so
I'll
get
that
updated,
submit
a
pull
request
to
jenkins.io
so
that
we've
got
even
more
project
ideas
to
show
that
they've
reached
the
fully
vetted
stage.
A
C
Who
we
have
so
I
I
send
a
reminder
on
the
developer
list,
because
this
is
what
I
feel
is
the
the
biggest
pool
where
we
can
have
people.
I
think
we
need
to
kept
to
keep
that
under
scrutiny
or
that
we
monitor
that
closely
and
take
corrective
actions.
C
We
need
to
be
sure
that
we
have
at
least
two
better
free
mentors
per
project,
so
we
need
to
be
right,
careful
for
that.
So
I
I
send
a
message
on
the
developer
list.
Is
there
something
else
I
can.
B
Do
well,
I
think
I
think
we
could.
We
could
consider
another
blog
post.
We
could
consider
just
a
tweet
from
the
jenkins
account
pointing
to
your
developer
list
posting
john
mark.
There's
no
reason
we
can't
tweet
from
the
jenkins
account
pointing
to
opportunities
for
people
to
help
jenkins.
B
C
Okay,
that
would
be
good
and
now
know
I'm
a
little
bit
lost.
So
we
do
a
second.
B
A
B
B
And
and
now,
given
how
long
the
urls
to
are
to
to
google
to
google
messages
to
group
messages,
you
may
have
to
use
a
shortened
url,
try
it
without.
It.
First
be
sure
that
you
keep
it
underneath
the
twitter
upper
limit
of
320
characters,
the
tweet
can't
be
more
than
320
or
it'll
truncate.
It
yeah,
and
I
think
twitter
has
its.
C
B
C
Okay,
here
I'll
I'll,
do
that,
but
I'll
do
alyssa's
pull
request.
First,.
C
A
No
problem
I
also
reached
out
to
woodack
and
because
I
was
going
through
the
blog
section
on
jenkins.io
yesterday
and
I
think
maybe
what
that
might
be
interested
in
doing
some
kind
of
membership
or
mentorship
for
the
security
that
he
did
something
similar
to
what
he
did
with
his
four
students
that
he
had
done
previously.
A
So
I'm
sure
he
sent
me
a
message,
but
I
haven't
gone
through
it
and
I
also
reached
out
to
our
node,
because
I
went
back
as
far
as
2016
to
look
at
students
and
and
mentors
then
and
reached
out
to
them
so
keeping
fingers
crossed
I'll.
Just
keep
chugging
away
at
reaching
out
to
mentors.
A
B
A
C
A
C
B
Do
we
we
did
it
in
2020,
we
considered
it
it
and
community
bridge.
We
we
considered
them
both.
We
don't
have
adequate
mentors
to
do
anything
with
them
this
year.
So
if
you're,
if
your
goal
was
to
keep
this
to
things,
we're
working
on
in
2022,
then
I
would
drop
out.
We
could
at
least
move
outreachy
and
community
bridge
to
the
bottom
of
the
list.
We.
C
B
A
a
big
heading
here
at
the
bottom,
which
says
previous
outreach
efforts
previous
outreach,
because
google
summer
of
code
should
be
on
this
page.
I
would
think,
as
well
at
least
a
link
to
google
summer
of
code
in
this
page,
because
it
certainly
is
one
of
our
outreach
efforts
yeah,
but
we
definitely
won't.
I
don't
plan
to
do
anything
with
google
season
of
docs
they
just
opened
for
for
proposals,
but
I
just
don't
feel
like
we've
got
the
capacity
to
mentor
a
season
of
docs
contributor
this
year
right.
C
Okay,
but
this
answers
my
question
and
I'll,
I
propose
an
update
on
that
page
like
when,
when
I
walk
through
pages-
and
I
see
things
that
are
outdated.
A
So
maybe
we
can
just
put
like
a
year
and
our
participation
in
in
these
sub
programs.
So
it's
just
a
thought
so,
like
what
so,
you
mentioned
the
outreachy
that
was
back
in
what
year.
B
I
think
we
did
that
in
2019
or
2020..
I
forget
which,
but
outreachy
is
a
program
that
attempts
to
reach
underserved
communities
with
funded
development
and
and
so
we,
I
think,
we've
funded
two
or
three
thousand
dollars
for
a
three-month
project
and
it
it
had
a
nice
outcome.
It
was
our
first
use
of
outreachy
as
a
program,
they're
they're,
a
different
group,
the
community
bridge
two
tula
items
below
it
is
a
linux
foundation
group
and
because
we're
we're
a
cdf
project.
C
Here,
I'll
I'll
I'll
make
a
first
proposal
to
to
to
reorganize
that
and
to
make
it
clear
what
what
we're
working
on
what's
on
the
back
burner
right
and
that
it's
it's
details,
but
you
know
the
devil
is
in
the
details
and
then
we
can
discuss
it.
Listen
afterwards.
Okay
sounds
great.
This
point
is
clear
for
me:
okay,.
A
Moving
on
to
the
next
topic:
cdcon,
the
cfp
ends
in
february
18th.
Please
submit
a
talk.
We
I'm
hoping
that
we
can
get
a
lot
of
jenkins,
or
at
least
a
couple
of
jenkins
talks
there.
A
They
talked
about
the
cdf,
talked
about
having
the
cdf
awards
again
this
year.
So
last
year
they
had
the
jenkins
awards
where
it
had
three
categories:
most
valuable
advocate
security,
mvp,
most
valuable
jenkins
contributor
and
I've
listed
there
who
won
last
year.
So
this
is
just
a
heads
up
to
to
see
the
thoughts
that
you
know
who
do
we
want
to
nominate
for
2022.
B
Yeah,
I
assume
that
they'll
use
the
same
nomination
process
they
did
before
I.
I
was
a
little
intimidated
by
that
process,
but
it
was
really
quite
powerful.
The
way
you
nominated
is
you
submitted
a
pull
request
to
a
public
git
repository
with
your
description
of
why
you
thought
that
person
was
a
good
candidate.
That
was
a
lot
of
fun.
Writing
a
public
description
of
why
I
thought
this
candidate
was
exactly
the
right
one
and
there
were
many
different
proposals
for
for
people.
B
So
if,
if
elicit,
you
have
a
chance
to
to
encourage
them
to
use
the
same
process
they
used
last
year,
I
I
found
it
a
little
daunting
and
yet
really
really
good
to
write
that
in
public
it.
Let
me
highlight
some
some
things
about.
You
know
when
I
write
in
public
I'm
more
sensitive,
I'm
more
careful,
I'm
more
more
diligent,
and
therefore
my
nomination
was
a
lot
better
than
if
I'd
just
written
an
offhand
email
saying,
oh,
I
think
so-and-so
is
really
great
yeah.
In
this
case,
I
gave
details
I
provided
links.
You
know.
B
Yeah,
just
just
please,
please
one
tell
them
thank
you
very
much
for
doing
it
last
year
and
how
impressed
I
was
at
how
well
at
work
worked,
especially
after
how
intimidated
I
felt
about
writing
a
nomination
publicly.
I
was
writing
something
that
everybody
could
read
about
these
people
and
therefore
it
had
to
be
factual,
all
sorts
of
good.
So
thank.
A
Great
and
then
they
will
have
an
on-site
contributor
summit
for
jenkins
as
well.
During
the
conference
that
is
still
in
the
planned,
I
need
to
fill
out
a
form
for
planning
purposes
for
cdf,
so
I
will
work
on
that,
but
they
did
as
this
is
going
to
be
interesting
for
us,
because,
given
that
this
is
our
first
year
that
jenk-
or
at
least
since
I've
been
around
that
jenkins,
is
going
to
texas.
A
I
know
we
have
meetup
groups
there
and
I'm
hoping
that
we
can
leverage
some
of
the
people
that
that
loves
jenkins
and
have
them
attend
the
the
summit.
Yeah
but
it'll
be
interesting
to
see
the
outcome
of
it.
B
Right
agreed
and
I've
got
some.
I've
got
some
candidates
that
I'm
going
to
discuss
further
with
I
I
intend
to
be
physically
in
austin,
so
I'll
be
there
to
be
part
of
it.
We've
got
some
some
great
jenkins
contributors
actually
who
live
in
austin,
so
it'll,
be
it's
there's,
no
reason
we
can't
involve
them
and
invite
them
to
come.
Join
us.
B
So
she
caught
africa,
I'm
feeling
a
little
bit
behind
schedule.
I've
I've
done
this.
I've
done
the
initial
posting.
Oh
here
I
can.
I
can
do
notes
alyssa
or
I've
done
the
initial
posting
of
project
ideas
to
the
community.jenkins.io
site
and
haven't
seen
a
lot
of
traction.
Yet
I
think
we
can
expect
from
four
to
six.
Mentors
is
probably
what
we're
going
to
see
and
with
four
to
six
mentors.
That
means
we
likely
won't
want
to
take
on
more
than
four
to
six
women
from
this
chico
africa
initiative.
B
B
B
Right
and
and
john
mark
you're
one
that,
because
of
your
being
in
european
time
zone,
I
may
need
you
to
assist
with
with
acting
as
a
mentor.
That
would
take
you
up
to
one
hour
a
week,
but
but
we'll
we
have
to
look
and
see.
I
would
really
prefer
that
to
be
others
even
outside
of
the
people
who
are
attending
here.
That
could
act
as
mentors
and
if
you
want
me
to
sell
a
project,
just
ask
me
all
right.
Thank.
A
All
right
next
topic
is
devops
world
cfp.
This
is
just
an
fyi
really
quickly.
The
discussion
for
the
cfp
program
will
start
next
week.
I
will
learn
more
about
the
date.
The
location
of
of
this
year's
devops
world,
so
more
to
come
on
that,
but.
A
So
sorry,
the
cfp
discussion
planning.
A
Will
probably
take
us,
it'll
probably
take
another,
I
would
say,
let's
just
say
a
month
before
the
cfp
will
open-
I
I
don't
know
yet
so
that
will
be
discussed
during
the
planning
process.
A
Right
so
jean-marc,
since
this
is
going
to
happen
during
middle
of
of
pacific
time
zone
in
los
angeles
here,
so
I'll
take
care
of
it,
and
I
will.
C
C
A
Yeah
yeah
and
I'll
send
out
links.
You
know,
okay,
so
all
right.
So
last
item
is
the
jenkins
online
meetup.
So
the
next
one
that
we
will
talk
about
is
google
summer
of
code
more
google
summer
of
code.
The
date
is
scheduled
for
february
23rd
at
5
pm
utc.
I've
drafted
up
the
abstract
here.
So
if
you
have
a
moment,
please
take
a
review
and
then,
when
you
give
me
a
thumbs
up,
then
I
will
get
it
on
the
meetup
page
for
us.
A
C
B
B
C
Jenkil's
online
meetup.
We
have
two
subjects,
if
I
remember
well
in
the
fridge
or
that
we
need
maybe
to
revive.
So
there
is
the
talk
by
kusuke.
