A
Hello,
everyone:
this
is
the
jenkins
advocacy
and
outreach
sig
meeting
of
september
2020
22
22,
sorry
2022..
I
almost
got
it
on
the
first
time.
Anyhow.
Today
we
have
as
attendees
mark
waite
and
chris
turn
on
the
agenda.
Today
we
have
the
gsoc
update.
The
final
presentation
has
been
done,
of
course,
oktoberfest
that
will
keep
us
busy
most
of
the
october
month
devil's
world
next
week,
we're
almost
there
and,
of
course,
cdf
advocacy
so
who
wants
to
start
with
g-sec?
I
guess
it's
you
chris.
B
Yep,
so
I
think
most
projects
have
been
completed
or
actually
all
of
them.
I
think
yeah,
all
of
them,
because
mark's
project
has
been
completed
too,
and
so
our
final
presentations
will
be
on
october
5th,
at
3
pm,
utc.
C
Yeah,
congratulations
to
the
to
the
contributors
yep
and
chris
thanks
very
much
to
you
for
for
what
you've
done,
leading
that
that
you,
as
an
org
admin,
have
been
absolutely
great.
B
Yeah,
I
I
I
think,
that's
about
it,
because
there
weren't
any
issues
with
well.
There
were
some
bugs
with
the
forums
earlier,
but
I
think
it
didn't.
It
would
impede
that
much
on
us
evaluating.
So
that's
been.
That's
it
yeah.
A
B
B
C
A
C
Yeah,
so
we've
got,
we've
got
good
things
for
contributors
here
register,
beginning
september,
26th,
pull
requests
to
jenkins,
ci
or
jenkins
infra,
two
repositories
that
have
specifically
been
tagged
with
the
hacktoberfest
topic.
C
Now
for
maintainers,
we
need
maintainers
to
be
offer
themselves
willing
to
accept
pull
requests
and
they
do
that
by
putting
the
hacktoberfest
topic
on
their
repository
and
help
people
as
they
submit
the
pull
requests.
It's
not
enough
to
put
the
topic
and
then
ignore
them.
During
the
month
of
october,
you've
got
to
be
willing
to
review.
We've
got
several
repositories
that
are
already
tagged.
This
way,
including
the
jenkins.io
documentation,
repository
the
jenkins
core
repository
and
several
plugins.
A
Yep
and
you
have
categorized
issues
with
first
good,
first
issue.
I
think,
and
all
the
things,
though,
even
if
you
are
a
total
beginner
to
jenkins-
if
you
know
a
little
bit
of
java
or
even
there
are
some
tasks
about
documentation,
don't
be
shy.
It's
kind
of
easy.
I
will
try
to
do
some
by
myself
b
side
being
a
newcomer,
so
you
can
do
it
also.
C
Exactly
very
well
and
and
on
the
hacktoberfest
page
on
jenkins
jenkins
at
io
are
hyperlinks
that
take
you
to
those
kinds
of
places
so,
oh,
which
are
the
the
jira
issues.
Maybe
I
want
to
work
on
something
in
java
code.
Therefore,
here
are
the
friendly
jira
issues,
or
maybe
you
want
to
work
on
something
in
a
github
issue,
open
github
issues,
all
sorts
of
links
there,
project
suggestions
are
available
here.
Absolutely
we
look
forward
to
to
contributions
in
many
different
areas.
C
Exactly
well
and
and
this
one
with
last
year's
effort
on
french
translation
were
really
positive.
It
was
it
was
a
strong
play
from
angelique
jarred
and
a
whole
team
of
contributors
there
in
in
france,
but
this
year
it's
even
better,
because
now
we've
got
crowd
in
support,
and
so
you
could
potentially
not
just
add
value
by
doing
a
french
translation,
but
also
add
value
by
enabling
crowdin
support.
Where
that
allows
many
languages
to
be
contributed.
Not
just
one.
A
Wow,
yes,
that
would
be
a
very
nice
contribution
if
you
find
the
plugins
that
maintainers.
That
would
allow
you
to
do
so,
but
yeah.
So
please
plug
in
maintainers
be
aware
that
we
need
your
help
in
october.
A
And
if
you
don't
feel
like
solving
an
issue
on
github
or
jira,
whatever,
there
are
also
other
actions
this
year
that
you
can
do
for
oktoberfest.
That
was
not
the
case
previous
year.
So,
for
example,
if
you
make
a
presentation,
a
talk
somewhere
write
a
blog
article,
this
could
count
as
something
that
would
work
for
octoberfest.
You
know
you're
supposed
to
have
five
issues
merge,
but
you
can
also
do
one
presentation,
one
blog
post
and
so
on.
So
yes,
lots
of
ways
to
collaborate.
A
Yes,
of
course,
thank
you
next
week
is
of
course,
devops
world
next
week.
We
will
all
fly
to
orlando.
Sooner
or
later
we
have
to
be
there
by
tuesday.
A
So
it's
from
tuesday
to
thursday
there
will
be
the
jenkins
contributor
summit.
On
tuesday
we
have
a
very
nice
detailed
agenda
which
is
already
available
on
communityjenkins.io,
but
also
as
a
blog
post
on
jenkins.ioslash
blog,
and
we
will
have
lots
of
people
who
have
already
subscribed
and
who
will
tell
us
about
their
success
with
jenkins,
but
also
their
issues,
what
they
think
about
it,
and
so
we
have
some
very
important
contributors
for
the
jenkins
project.
Who
will
be
there
and
share
with
us
their
feedback?
We
have
damian
deporter,
we
have
team
jacob.
A
We
have
ulrich
avenue,
we'll
have
people
from
aws
wow.
I
think
we
will
all
learn
tons
of
things
during
the
day
and
I
think
we
will
be
able
to
put
the
link
to
the
agenda
in
the
docs
later
on
on
wednesday
and
thursday.
There
are
lots
of
talks
about
jenkins
at
devops
world.
C
C
With
various
groups,
they've
got
an
open
question,
open
questions
that
we'll
discuss
at
the
contributor
summit
about
things
like
software
bills
of
materials
and
secure
delivery,
and
how
do
we
satisfy
recent
recent
mandates
that
software
provided
to
the
us
government,
for
instance,
needs
to
include
certain
attestations
of
its
origin?
That
kind
of
thing
so
many
topics
and
lots
of
interesting
things
happening
there.
A
Thank
you,
and
I
don't
know
if
it's
the
time
to
get
self
auto
promo
moment
we
already
told
about
that,
but
I
got
I
will
put
the
address
in
the
chat.
I
got
a
talk,
a
slot
at
the
mobile
devops
conference,
talking
about
jenkins,
of
course,
and
of
course,
at
this
time
it's
me,
but
I
think
that
would
be
a
good
idea
if
I
could
spot
all
the
conferences
where
somebody
is
talking
about
jenkins.
I
know
it
can
be.
A
C
Good
point,
and
we
sh,
I
think
we
got
me-
we
may
want
to
make
it
a
regular
agenda
topic
for
our
our
group
of
upcoming
conferences
and
talks.
