A
Hi,
I
was
a
google
summer
of
code
2020
student
at
jenkins.
I
worked
on
a
project
where
we
wanted
to
improve
the
performance
of
a
plugin
called
the
git
plugin.
Our
aim
was
to
essentially
reduce
the
time
taken
to
run
a
jenkins
job.
A
I
want
to
tell
all
of
you
that,
jenkins,
being
a
wonderful
community
of
developers,
is
a
great
place
to
start
your
open
source
journey.
The
reason
why
I'm
saying
that
I'll
tell
you
the
reasons.
The
first
reason
is
that
at
jenkins,
you
get
to
code
along
alongside
experienced
developers
who
are
willing
to
give
their
time
and
motivation
to
you
at
each
step
of
the
development
journey
which
you're
going
to
have
during
the
summer.
