A
Hi
good
morning,
everyone,
this
is
the
April
25th
Jupiter
def
meeting.
We've
got
a
number
of
things
to
talk
about
this
morning,
we'll
start
with
looking
at
the
action
items
from
last
week,
and
those
of
you
who
are
in
the
meeting
right
now
feel
free
to
check
off
things
that
are
done.
First,
we
had
from
Carol
request
from
a
contributor
on
get
er
to
have
a
landing
page
for
dropbox
paper,
weekly
meeting
notes,
so
that
the
link
is
consistent
weeks
a
week.
So
this
seems
like
a
useful
thing
to
do
so.
A
One
thing
that
I
did
was:
I
change
the
link
up
at
the
top
of
the
meeting
notes.
So
under
the
main
header
for
this
month
it
says
april
2017,
Jupiter,
weekly
meeting
right
at
the
bottom.
There
there's
a
short
paragraph
that
says
for
the
moderator,
please
you're
a
verbal
reminders.
It
can
go
to
the
meeting,
notes
and
I
change
the
link.
So
the
link
now
is
a
bitly
link
that
takes
folks
to
the
directory
of
all
of
our
meeting
notes.
So
Oh
does
it
sounds
negative
thumbs
up
for.
A
A
So
if
you
doesn't
want
to
go
ahead
and
click
that
link
at
the
top
of
the
meeting
notes,
and
then
I
can
make
sure
everybody
on
the
call
today
have
access
to
that
page
than
anyone
who's
watching.
This
can
can
do
the
same
and
I'll
give
you
access.
Hopefully
we
can
soothe
out
the
kinks
in
this,
so
it's
more
open
in
the
future,
but
that's
ours,
the
short
term
solution
to
being
able
to
see
all
the
are
cutting
okay,
okay,
so
Fernando
is
going
to
join
us
silently
in
a
couple
minutes.
A
Wait!
So
thanks
for
checking
that
off
next
in
crazy
action
item
gives
our
action
item
guru.
So
it
might
have
his
initials
on
it,
but
it
may
be
an
action
item
for
somebody
else.
So
I
hi
widget
needs
to
check
its
minimal
notebook.
The
pendency
test
document
that
so
I
think
that
was
for
Jason
and
Sylvan.
A
A
Great,
do
you
mind
just
adding
those
details
to
the
note?
So
when
we
circle
back,
we
know
exactly
what
the
timing
is
all
know
and
ask
the
question
again:
alright,
so
back
to
earlier
in
april
march,
in
February
graham
tonight
set
the
goal
for
resolving
fifty
percent
of
the
Jupiter
notebook
issues
by
the
end
of
april.
A
Well,
this
is
the
end
of
april,
so
grandson
super
busy
this
week
actually
this
month,
since
we
set
the
goal
of
wrapping
this
up
so
I
went
through
yesterday,
I
was
able
to
close
about
a
dozen
issues
since
we
stepped
the
goal.
100
new
issues
have
been
created,
so
it's
pretty
amazing
how
challenging
it
is
to
get
ahead
of
it.
But
I'm
going
to
keep
working
away
on
this
this
week
and
we'll
see
how
far
how
far
I
get
and
how
far
grant
Brett
and
I
get
so.
A
We
may
need
to
move
the
milepost
undergo
a
little
bit,
but
we
are
making
progress
and
we're
singing
issues
that
have
benefits
for
over
two
years,
so
the
community
are
being
responsive.
So
if
you
are
remember
who
we
think
thanks
so
much
for
responding
quickly
and
have
helped
us
close
those
issues,
all
right,
so,
let's
see
Jupiter
lab
extension
handling
is
undergoing
major
change.
I
think
we
know
that
so
what's
this
land
with,
like
others,
that
could
pick
the
tires
on
it
by
writing
extensions.
A
So
that's
still
a
mask
and
then
finally,
Matthias
is
still
looking
for
feedback
on
it.
They
sing
crapple
implementation
right,
so
weekly
news
by
organization.
You
have
bolts
for
I
pipe
on
Jupiter
Jupiter
lab
Jupiter,
widgets
and
Jupiter
hub.
If
you
go
to
the
Jupiter
notebook
pulse,
which
is
in
github
itself,
you
can
see
how
many,
how
far
ahead
we
are
in
terms
of
new
issues
versus
resolve
the
shoes.
A
So
it's
nice
to
to
start
getting
ahead
of
the
curve
and
the
weekly
news
is
available
via
the
drop
paper
files
or
stored
in
the
news,
repo
and
there's
a
link
there.
Alright,
so
on
the
project
management
side,
I've
been
focused
on
closing
some
of
these
issues
and
I've
been
doing
some
research
on
the
half
pad
migration,
so
I
hope
to
have
that
done
by
the
end
of
the
week.
I
just
need
to
resolve
them.
A
Some
permissions
questions
that
I
have
so
I'm,
not
really
an
owner
in
the
hack
pad
world
more
on
the
dropbox
side.
So
I
want
to
make
sure
that
I
set
it
up.
So
other
people
on
the
team
have
access
to
the
document
after
I
do
it,
it's
just
not
associated
with
my
account.
So
that's
that's
requiring
a
little
bit
more
research.
Alright,
the
next
section
is
ipython
and
I.
Don't
think
Matthias
is
with
us
today.
A
So
we'll
just
six
point:
I
was
out
came
out
last
week,
so
congratulations
to
Matthias
and
Mike
and
IANS
worked
super
hard
on
that
last
week
and
got
it
out
and
anyone
else,
obviously
who
helped
with
the
ipython
at
least
alright.
Well
getting
some
thank
you.
So
next
notebook
grant
and
Thomas
Grant
is
not
able
make
it
today,
but
Thomas
did
you
have
any
anything
you
want
to
share
on
the
notebook
front.
A
B
Now,
if
you
wanted
to
convert
a
notebook
multiple
times
using
the
same
custom
configuration,
you
would
need
to
upload
it
every
time
and
sort
of
how
to
solve
the
fact
that
that
sucks,
if
you
are
iterating
over
like
actually
building
that
notebook
one
solution,
is
something
like
a
global
resource
or
a
global
set
of
templates
that
are
not
as
a
global
set
of
configures
that
any
notebooks
could
then
pop
into.
But
then
you
still
have
the
problem
of
searching
and
finding
it.
B
So
that
or
even
multiple
configured
say
you
have
multiple
different
outputs
or
you
want
to
say,
say,
have
a
single
report
that
produces
a
single
notebook
that
produces
multiple
reports
for
multiple
audiences
based
on,
say,
tagging
and
filtering
out
elements.
So
those
are
the
sorts
of
things
that
we're
thinking
about
yeah,
I,
sorry,.
A
To
interrupt
the
sound
on
my
end
is
pretty
scratchy.
I
I
am
getting
most
of
the
content,
but
it
is
there
a
way
to
oh
come.
A
B
A
B
Oh
yeah
there's
different
things
like
that:
I,
don't
remember
where
I
was
all
right.
Thinking
about
how
to
solve
that
kind
of
a
problem.
What
exactly
we
want
to
do
in
that
domain
and
I'm,
actually
pretty
sure
that
that's
going
to
influence
how
I
write
the
docks,
which
is
sort
of
why
I'm
holding
off
the
other
big
thing
was
one
of
the
other
big
things
is
I
spoke
with
Tony
fast
and
Matthias.
B
My
friends
is
transit
orally,
supporting
something
like
that,
even
if
we
don't
encourage
people
to
keep
that
in
the
nova
quantum,
but
but
there's
a
bunch
of
other
cool
things
that
he
has,
but
is
another
one
of
his
projects
but
and
then
one
of
the
other
things
that
is
on
my
plate.
Right
now
is
I'm
on
the
committee.
A
F
So
the
Google
Documents
multi,
multiple
document
feature
that
came
in
a
little
while
ago.
We
got
some
feedback
on
it
and
not
with
those
things
like
restored
state
and
remember
when
you
toggle
back
and
forth.
Remember
the
layout
you
had
and
intelligently
deal
with,
added
or
removed
tabs,
and
also
remember
when
you
refresh
the
page,
there's
some
refactoring
of
the
document
manager,
API,
the
service
manager,
API
and
the
file
browser,
so
that
more
work
is
happening
in
the
document
manager.
F
Instead
of
the
file
browser
itself
to
sort
of
make
the
file
browser
more
of
a
simple
thin
client
for
that
stuff.
Rather
than
doing
a
lot
of
logic
and
the
extension
work,
I
think
thinks
you
should
probably
talk
about
it,
but
it
coming
together
and
it's
a
lot
simpler
than
all
the
earlier
revisions.
But
the
most
qualified
person
to
talk
about
is
T,
so
got
off
to
him
all.
E
E
Exercise
for
the
user.
The
command
is
essentially
the
same
after
the
extension
author,
it's
more
like
producing
an
NPM
package.
So
for
them
it's
a
more
standard
workflow.
What
we're
still
working
through
is
because
there's
no
longer
a
notion
of
you
are
running
a
core
Jupiter
lab
that
is
extensible
to
having
an
a
target
Jupiter
lab.
E
So
there's
this
active
discussion
on
that
and
I
apologize,
I'm
not
making
sense
under
the
weather
today,
but
there's
active
discussion
on
how
to
handle
that
on
an
link
to
the
issues,
the
appropriate
issues,
so
we're
hoping
to
get
through
that
pretty
soon,
and
that's
one
of
the
last
major
things
that
we'd
like
to
get
done
for
the
beta
very
slim.
Okay,.
A
C
Yes,
it
made
a
lot
of
progress
towards
widget
7
beta,
in
particular,
serializing
widget
state
to
the
notebook
for
embedded
widgets
and
making
the
output.
Would
you
also
essentially
store
its
output
as
state
which
makes
it
consistent
with
other
widgets
and
helps
us
be
able
to
have
output,
widgets
in
embedded,
widgets
and
save
notebooks,
etc?
C
We
also
made
we
have
basically
one
last
big
beta
blocker,
which
is
another
iteration
on
how
versioning
and
packaging
should
work,
and
we
we've
made
a
lot
of
progress
in
the
design
and
all
should
be
opening
up
a
PR
for
this
today
at
least
the
start
of
a
PR,
and
we
also
tested
out
the
Jupiter
I've
extension
system
and
updated
to
the
0
point
to
release
Oakland
20
release
and
everything
worked
great.
It
was
actually
pretty
painless.
D
Everybody
things
are
going
well
on
Jupiter
hub
a
lot
of
good
stuff
being
done
on
the
02
Jupiter
hub
with
Cooper
Nettie's
documentation.
We
actually
had
somebody
use
it.
The
other
day
and
easily
deploy
admit
was
somebody
who
had
tried
to
deploy
it
maybe
six
months
ago
and
couldn't
so
that's
really
encouraging,
and
you
know
more
work
on
that
somewhere
like
clean
up
stuff
on
Oh,
auth
and
documentation,
and
then
we're
going
to
try
and
triage
everything
mins
out
this
week,
so
not
anticipate
a
whole
lot
of
new
new
stuff.
This
week,
yeah
yeah.
A
Thank
you.
Next,
we've
got
some
of
our
other
other
projects
going
on
grant
grants.
Are
you
on
the
call
looks
like
he's
just
adding
his
update?
Okay,
so
on
render
aid
renderer
extensions
grant
will
update
mine,
render
dash
cookie
cutter
Jupiter
lab
JSON
Jupiter
lab
geo,
JSON
Jupiter
lab
table
and
Jupiter
Vega,
which
was
formerly
Jupiter
lab
bega
to
use
the
new
extension
system
introduced
by
Jupiter
lab
zero
point,
zero
or
zero
point
when
T
today
then
grandpa
says
they'll
also
publish
to
see
these
extensions
to
PI
P
I
&
M
p.m.
A
this
week
lab
users
don't
need
to
install
python
packages
to
install
extensions
anymore.
They
can
use
Jupiter
lab
extension.
Install
extension,
underscore
name
and
lab
will
look
for
an
NPM
module
by
that
name
and
install
it
whoo
all
right.
So
thanks
grant
any
questions
for
grant,
so,
okay,
so
cool
beans.
Next
we've
got
our
conferences
out
and
outreach
section
continue
to
update
the
project
calendar
we've
got
your
Python,
it's
new
in
the
list
to
spin
out
for
a
while.
A
That's
going
to
be
july,
nine
through
the
critiques
in
rimini,
italy,
there's
the
link
there
in
the
meeting
notes
and
thomas
submitted.
Is
you
better
talk
in
the
education
track?
So
that's
awesome
thanks
Thomas
and
then
we
have
our
growing
list
of
already
announced
conferences
that
you
can
just
go
on
over
to
the
event
calendar
to
see
the
full
display.
A
D
A
That's
great
so
Sylvan
is
at
craft
2017
Budapest
that
goes
till
the
28
28
he's
giving
a
tutorial
on
I,
hi
widget.
So
we'll
hear
updates
from
him
next
week
when
it
comes
to
visit
us
at
Berkeley
next
week
is
also
clock
on
in
Oakland.
So
number
of
us
will
be
attending
plot
con
and
kyle's,
giving
a
talk
still
then
giving
a
talk
or
tutorial
and
I
think
Jason
was
Jason.
Are
you
come
into
that.
A
A
A
C
A
Well,
thanks:
Angie,
okay,
so
Jupiter
clone
we're
plugging
along
with
Jupiter
calm.
The
soft
ones
launch
for
registration
started
last
week
and
the
links
right
there.
So
people
click
on
that
link
should
be
able
to
be
able
to
register
for
Jupiter.
Pond
can
try
that
alright
governance,
no
governess
update
for
this
week
actually
items
for
this
week.
If
you
have
thoughts
on
user
stories
for
configurable
exports
minute
book
in
her
face,
go
ahead
and
ping
Mike
any
other
action
items
folks
who
just
step
one
everybody's,
just
plugging
along
alright
great.
