Meeting Notes: https://jupyter.hackpad.com/September-2016-ncdE6E6XQmc
A
Alright
good
morning,
everyone
at
September
6
2016
and
is
the
Jupiter
dev
meeting
I'll
just
kick
off
the
meeting
real,
quick
I'm
up
here
in
Seattle.
I
sat
in
on
the
neuro
half
week
yesterday
morning
that
they
kicked
off
at
the
University
of
Washington.
It
seems
like
a
really
fun
week
of
learning
and
coding
and
hacking
and
everybody.
You
know,
meeting
new
people
and
making
a
lot
of
progress.
A
We
are
in
our
new
got
a
new
process
in
our
hack
pad,
so
the
first
person
on
the
list
is
Anna
with
a
plus
next
door
Nate
on
ax.
You
want
to
share.
B
B
Those
should
be
submitted
through
github
and
I'll
actually
post
a
link
here
in
in
just
a
moment,
but
the
format
of
those
submissions
should
come
with
a
headline,
a
headline
for
the
story,
two
or
three
sentences
related
to
the
headline
and
ideally,
a
link
to
either
slides
for
a
talk
that
you
gave
or
a
link
to
whatever
place.
People
can
go
to
to
get
more
information
on
on
what
you're
sharing
and
that
is
it
for
me.
B
So
I
will
share
more
information
as
as
it
makes
sense,
the
focus
of
the
event
is
going
to
be
on
teaching
and
or
people
who
are
new
to
jupiter.
So
she
is
going
to
be
facilitating
kind
of
getting
people
started
on.
Jupiter
is
going
to
be
the
focus
of
the
event.
B
They'll,
be
it's
going
to
be
really
basic:
no
tickets
are
going
to
be
sold,
Jupiter
is
sponsoring
and
helping
helping
her
with
food
and
kind
of
project
management,
but
she
will
be
the
leader
for
that
local
event,
so
really
excited
to
get
an
event
kind
of
in
a
different
format
than
the
last
couple
have
been,
which
have
been
more
like
many
conferences.
This
is
something
we
talked
about
doing
to
encourage
people
to
know
that
Jupiter
day
can
be.
B
You
know
in
various
different
formats
and
so
excited
to
have
somebody
take
the
lead
and
and
kind
of
execute
on
one
of
these
ideas
so
and
she's
in
hawaii,
which
I
think
it's
about.
Six
am
so
not
surprised
she
decided
not
to
join,
but
I
all
welcome
her
to
to
future
meetings
or
to
communicate
with
you
guys,
as
it
makes
sense
if
anyone's
interested
in
supporting
that
event
or
or
in
teaching
out
there.
You
know
reach
out
to
her
and.
B
A
Is
all
I
have
Thanks?
That's
thank.
C
Yeah
I
just
wanted
to
let
everyone
know
in
the
broader
community
that
we're
trying
out
compliant
CSS
variables
in
Jupiter
lab
and
their
words.
There's
been
a
lot
of
discussion
about
sort
of
what
CSS
preprocessors
to
use
and
right
now
we're
thinking
is
that,
given
the
need
for
third-party
extensions
to
also
support
theming,
that
CSS
variables
are
likely
a
good
match,
this
would
mean
that
so
right,
now
all
all
browsers,
all
stable
releases
of
browsers
other
than
IE
and
edge
support,
CSS
variables
and
for
deployments
that
that
need
to
include
I
en
edge.
C
A
That's
some
way
to
go
guys
all
right.
So
it's
a
pretty
small
group
today,
I
think
folks
are
still
on
vacation
and
I'm.
Not
so,
we've
got
two
sep
tember
6,
that's
fun!
Oh.
C
A
So,
on
and
Brian
were
the
only
two
folks
who
had
anything
to
share
according
to
the
hack
pad.
Does
anyone
else
want
to
share
what
they're
working
on
or
what
their
plans
are
for
this
week.
A
Don't
everyone
talk
all
at
once?
I
would.
B
Write
them
up:
yeah,
random
hat
Jamie
I'm,
not
saying
the
you
know,
there's
the
the
Jupiter
weekly
meeting
categorization
on
the
hack
pad
I'm,
not
seeing
the
August
or
the
sep
tember
meetings
on
there.
A
Reds,
that's
fixed
right
now
done
awesome,
it
just
be
able
to
refresh
and
it
should
show
up
I
just
categorized.
It
was
like
a
thing
in
the
upper
right-hand
corner,
so
one
other
thing
I
wanted
to
share
with
you
guys
is
Ian.
Rose
is
supposed
to
start
sometime
in
September,
so
I
think
the
that
we
identified.
They
start
date
that
we
identified
with
sep
tember
12,
but
sometimes
things
can
take
a
little
while
to
go
through
the
pipes
at
Berkeley.
