family-friendly
festival
that
happens
at
Zona
Rosa
on
June,
2nd
through
the
4th
and
is
supported
by
the
neighborhood
Tourist
Development
Fund
here,
to
tell
us
more
about
the
event
and
a
little
historical
background
about
the
organization
behind
the
event
is

that
there
is
an
organization
that
is
behind
the
event
and
that
essa
italiana
has
been
going
on
for
quite
a
while.

It's
it's
an
event
that
we
try
to
do
to
raise
funds
for
our
charities,
but
at
the
same
time
it's
an
event
that
we
can
express
our
Italian
heritage
to
the
to
the
community,
and
Nico
has
been
behind
that
event.
That's
been
successful
since
probably
going
on
since
the
1970s
there
abouts.
This
is
our
13th
year
here
at
Zona
Rosa.

We
like
to
think
of
it
as
a
family
event.
You
know
for
everybody,
the
young
and
the
old
and
everybody
in
between
right
and
we.
The
event,
if
you
can
imagine,
is
celebrating
everything
that
we
like
to
think
our

to
express
as
far
as
our
Italian
heritage.
So
if
you
can
imagine
that
there's
going
to
be
a
lot
of
food
throughout
the
event
throughout
the
three
days
that
we're
here,
you
can
taste
just
about
any
anything,

related

providing

a

we'll
have
a
lot
of
entertainment
again,

very

type
of
entertainment
for
the
young

also
we
have
a
couple
of
national
type
performers
that
will
be
during
primetime
Friday
night
Saturday
night,
so
food,
entertainment
wine
there's
a
car
show
on
Sunday,
which
is
very
nice
to
all,
be
a
lot
of
Italian
motor
sports
type,
cars,
Ferraris
Lamborghinis,
also
of
the
Italian
motorcycles,
Ducati
etc.

those
clubs
have
gotten
behind
the
Italian,
Festival
and
they'll,
be
here
on
Sunday.
We
have
entertained
Mass
on
Sunday
as
well.
I,
don't
know
if
there's
a
kids
area
that
we
devote
to
the
younger
kids
a
lot
of
different
games
that
they
can
be
involved
in.
So
we
have
that
as
well.
How
many
people
attend
we've
estimated?
Probably
in
the
neighborhood
of
50,000
people,
come
to
the
event
over
the
three-day
weekend.

western
Kansas

so

we

probably
as
a
percentage
outside
of
the
Kansas
City
metropolitan
area,
probably
a
good
10%
of
that
is
coming
from
those
other
areas
and
they
come
every
year

it's
gotten
a
regional
kind
of
reputation
as
an
event
that
people
like
to
come
to
it's
pretty.

it's
a

to

out
of
