A
Hey
everybody
I'm
like
a
Chrisman
on
with
the
Kansas
City
health
barn,
you've
tuned
in
to
the
weekly
report.
You
know
the
holidays
are
my
favorite
time
of
year,
spend
with
friends,
family
and
even
co-workers
at
office
parties
like
here
at
City,
Hall,
oh
hey,
mayor,
Rossi,
bow,
tie,
you've
got
there
and
good
parties
call
for
good
food,
but
before
you
start
making
your
favorite
dishes
I
have
some
food
safety
tips.
That'll
help
keep
you
safe
this
holiday
season?
Oh
hey,
Susie,
how's
it
going
here's
some
punch,
love
that
sweater.
By
the
way.
A
No
one
wants
a
cold
or
the
flu
during
the
holidays,
so
wash
your
hands
frequently.
Hand-Washing
is
one
of
the
best
ways
to
protect
you
and
your
family
and
keep
them
healthy,
wash
your
hands,
especially
before,
during
and
after
preparing
food
before
eating
food
and
after
taking
out
the
garbage
keeping
food
prep
areas.
Clean
is
also
very
important
germs
that
cause
food
poisoning
can
survive
in
many
places
and
be
spread
around
your
kitchen,
washing
utensils,
cutting
boards
and
countertops
with
hot
soapy
water.
You
can
also
use
a
disinfectant
spray.
A
Food
is
safely
cooked
when
the
internal
temperature
gets
high
enough
to
kill
germs.
That
can
make
you
sick.
The
only
way
to
tell
if
food
is
safely
cooked
is
to
use
a
food
thermometer.
You
can't
tell
a
food
is
safely
cooked
by
checking
its
color
and
texture
go
to
foodsafety.gov
for
a
handy
guide
on
food
cooking
temperatures.
A
Bacteria
can
multiply
rapidly.
If
you
leave
your
food
out,
so
never
leave
perishable
food
out
for
more
than
two
hours.
So
when
you're
watching
the
big
game
keep
refreshing
your
serving
bowls
instead
of
leaving
food
out
for
several
hours
at
a
time
and
don't
freeze
or
reheat
them
multiple
times
to
keep
bacteria
from
growing.

D
C
Last
day
for
drop-offs
will
be
Saturday,
December
15th
until
then
Kansas
City
residents
and
those
who
live
in
32.
Other
participating
communities
can
drop
off
paint
light
bulbs,
motor
oil
and
other
items
for
free
on
Thursdays,
Fridays
and
Saturdays.
Wednesdays
are
set
aside
for
loads
larger
than
600
pounds,
and
an
appointment
is
necessary
and.

Years
ago
today,
just
before
5:00
p.m.
to
be
exact,
Kansas
City's
first
by
our
chief
Francis
Foster
became
the
owner
of
the
John
Campbell
steamer
number
one,
and
this
fire
department
was
born
at
that
time.
My
brother's
son
fresh
grocery
store
right
here
at
Linwood
and
prospect
bread
opening
rebuilding
this
shopping
center.
In
a
way
with
rebirthing
this
communities,
the
neighborhood
had
been
pushing
for
the
grocery
store
back.
G
H
Did
you
know
that
the
tallest
indoor
Christmas
tree
in
the
entire
city
is
located
right
here
at
Union
Station,
that
and
so
much
more
is
happening
in
Union
Station
during
the
holidays
and
to
tell
us
all
about
it?
Is
president
and
CEO
George
West
ello
George.
Thank
you
for
taking
time
during
this
especially
busy
season
to
tell
us
all
that's
happening
here
as.
B
Well,
welcome
to
Kansas
City's
home
for
the
holidays.
It's
the
magical
place
right
behind
us
is
that
30-foot
most
energy-efficient
tree
in
Kansas
City,
and
did
you
know
that
the
original
mayor's
Christmas
tree
stood
at
Union
Station
many
years
ago
when
it
first
started
now
it's
across
the
street,
so
we
just
keep
getting
bigger
and
better
in
the
history
of
Kansas.
City
continues
to
grow
now.
H
B
Well,
Union
Station
is
the
magical
home
for
the
holidays
in
Kansas
City.
We
kicked
it
off
a
few
weeks
ago
with
over
7,000
people
for
the
quixotic
lighting
ceremony.
But
when
families
come,
they
have
an
opportunity
to
go
back
in
history,
but
see
amazing
things
here
at
Union
Station.
We
just
want
to
take
the
picture
and
have
it
for
the
history
books
and
we're
sitting
on
the
slide.
We'll
go
experience.
The
magnificent
train
exhibition
at
the
end
of
Grand
Hall.
It's
all
there
for
families
to
just
experience.
B
B
They'll
have
an
opportunity
to
get
on
the
train
and
meet
Santa.
Last
year
over
30,000
people
had
a
chance
to
experience
this
Kansas
City
tradition.
So
it's
a
place
for
the
holidays
and
we
hope
people
go
online.
At
Union,
Station
org
find
out
all
the
information
and
come
down
and
experience
that
very
unique
Kansas
City
experience
and.
B
You
know
it's
kind
of
funny:
only
five
million
people
have
figured
out
how
to
ride
the
streetcar
to
get
to
Union
Station.
So
we
welcome
that.
It's
a
great
way
to
come
down
ride
the
streetcar
experience
all
the
downtown
dazzle
and
then
experience
Kansas
City's
tablet,
which
is
Union
Station,
so
you'll
have
a
chance
to
do
that.
You
also
chance
to
see
the
magnificent
dinosaurs
revealed
a
journey
across
America
thanks
to
NT
DF.
B
We
were
able
to
bring
this
world-class
exhibition
right
here
to
Kansas
City
over
a
hundred
and
twenty
thousand
people
have
had
a
chance
to
experience
this
exhibition
and
it's
a
great
time
to
have
a
monstrous
holiday
fun.
One
of
the
best
parts
of
the
holidays
is
just
getting
together
with
families
to
see
great
movies
and
what
better
place
to
see
them
is
then,
and
the
largest
screen
in
Kansas
City
right
here
at
the
stream
screen
at
Union
Station
five
stories
70
feet
wide
will
have
Polar
Express.
B
The
kids
can
come
in
their
PJs
and
watch
it
for
only
$3.00.
But
the
little
thing
that
I'm
going
to
give
you
an
interest
on
is
that
the
big
holiday
movie,
the
return
of
Mary
Poppins,
the
big
Walt
Disney
film-
will
be
opening
at
the
largest
screen
in
Kansas
City
right
here
in
station.
So
we
help
everybody
and
the
families
come
down
to
relive
the
magic
of
Mary
Poppins.
The
new
big
Disney
show
right
here
in
you
station,
so
we
hope
everyone
will
come
up
for
home
for
the
holidays.
Well,.
