Hi!, I'm jurgen, I work for dynatrace and I'm a maintainer of the keptn project, which is.

A

A cloud native application life cycle orchestrator and that also runs on civo.

A

For the super community, I'm really grateful uh that um I get the answers to my questions.

A

um Like uh really really fast., so the community is really helpful,. If I have any questions.

A

Technical questions, questions around how the platform is working or how I can put something.

A

In the civo marketplace, which was one of my first touch points with the civo community.

A

And uh for this it was great too,. It has been great to work with the super community.

A

I think my first touch points on silverware, probably found it somewhere on twitter and.

A

It actually caught my eye because the spin up time for new clusters was really interesting.

A

So I gave it a try and the civo marketplace was the first thing I got in touch with cibo.

A

To also list our open source project keptn on the civo marketplace, to make it easier for.

A

Others to use our open source project directly on the civo platform, without the need to read.

A

Any installation instructions, but we just one click, installation and they're, ready to go.

A

Yeah my preferred tech stack on top of kubernetes is uh obviously to run keptn.

A

Since I'm a maintainer of the project- and I use it in my day-to-day developer life, so.

A

For the for civo, um I either do it directly on via the civo marketplace uh and uh install it.

A

Directly from there, or I just experiment with it and spin up a couple of clusters in the.

A

Install the keptn control plane on the one cluster kept an execution plane goes on the other cluster.

A

So um that's basically what I make sure that always runs on on my clusters and it's uh even.

A

If it's just the very short running clusters, that's usually the stack that I'm running.

A

On and then I have a couple of different demo applications, mostly from the cncf ecosystem, like.

A

The potato head that usually goes on one of my clusters, but that's mainly the stake. I'm running.

A

So for me, in my day-to-day development,, the launch time of new clusters really help helps because I.

A

Don't have to wait a couple of minutes, it's only one or two minutes for new clusters, and that also.

A

Gives me the possibility to recreate clusters really fast., so I can always start from scratch,.

A

I know exactly what my new cluster will look like, and I can even easily spin up a couple of clusters.

A

At the same time, I don't have to wait four of them for more than like two minutes and.

A

Especially basically, for kind of temporary development environments. For me, this is great.

A

Because also I don't have to leave the cluster running, I can always spin it about spin it up and.

A

Tear it down with the help of probably even crossplane or other cloud native projects.

A

That helped me in this and uh yeah. So that really really helps- and I was.

A

In the beginning, I was really amazed how fast it is to spin up the cluster at civo.

A

I think my favorite feature is in total. It's the simplicity.. There is not a lot of different.

A

Things I have to take care of whenever I want to create a cluster, so it's basically, I think.

A

It's like two clicks.. I usually go with the ui approach, uh not so much with the civo cli. So.

A

I'm not an expert on on that,, but uh the the killer feature for me is the simplicity. When.

A

It comes to creating clusters when it also comes to building it's very transparent. I always know.

A

Exactly right now, what will be the the cost of my clusters at the very end of the month.

A

uh And this is great for me to to kind of get a feeling uh how many clusters do. I want to create,.

A

How long do you want to run them to be within the the budget that I have researched for.

A

My tasks., so the simplicity in total, is for me is the absolute killer. Feature.

A

I think that's uh that's a tricky one, because I'm already quite satisfied with what civo.

A

Provides., um probably something uh some additional features in the marketplace to be able to test the.

A

Applications that I put on the marketplace and the integrations to test them myself to kind of.

A

Have a temporary environment even created by civo running on civo and test the integrations there.

A

But on the other hand, the civo community was very helpful in getting our keptn marketplace.

A

Option/Edit and listed in the simple marketplace, but um probably doing kind of a set of service.

A

And the testing before listing anything in the marketplace would be helpful.
