A
As
the
mayor
of
the
city
of
kingston.
I
offer
these
words
in
the
spirit
of
this
gathering.
Let
us
bring
our
good
minds
and
hearts
together
as
one
to
honor
and
celebrate
these
traditional
lands
as
the
gathering
place
of
the
original
peoples
and
their
ancestors
who
are
entrusted
to
care
for
mother
earth.
Since
time
immemorial,
it
is
with
deep
humility
that
we
acknowledge
and
offer
our
gratitude
for
their
contributions
to
this
community.
Having
respect
for
all,
as
we
share
this
space
now
and
walk
side
by
side
into
the
future,
we
were
just
meeting
in
committee.
A
B
Excuse
me
that
council
approved
the
purchase
of
113
to
113
and
a
half
for
reunion
street
for
affordable
housing
purposes
for
a
negotiated
price
not
to
exceed
two
million
one
hundred
thousand
dollars,
plus
closing
costs
of
up
to
fifty
thousand
dollars.
The
council
approved
a
commitment
of
up
to
two
million
150
000
in
funding
available
from
approved
capital
investment
in
affordable
housing
program,
capital
budget
to
support
the
acquisition
of
113
113
and
a
half
lower
union
street
for
non-profit,
affordable
housing
purposes.
A
A
A
We
do
have
one
motion
of
condolence
moved
by
mayor
patterson
seconded
by
deputy
mayor
neal,
that
the
sincere
condolences
of
kingston
city
council
be
extended
to
the
family
of
desiree
kennedy,
chief,
financial
officer
and
city
treasurer
on
the
passing
of
her
father-in-law,
william
bill
hare
on
sunday
april,
26
2020
in
his
83rd
year
bill
had
a
lifelong
career
at
celanese,
but
spent
more
times
spent
hunting
and
fishing.
He
will
be
fondly
remembered
by
his
family
and
friends.
A
D
E
C
Hi,
commissioner,
kid:
the
microphone
is
sticking
on
my
end,
so
you
can
unmute
yourself,
please.
If
you
don't
mind.
F
Thank
you
very
much
and
through
you,
mr
mayor.
Yes,
the
the
parking
amendments
in
this
area
are
intended
to
be
permanent.
I
will
have
to
look
up
the
exact
location
and
the
extension
of
them,
and
I
could
certainly
send
that
to
you
in
an
email,
counselor,
kylie.
G
Thank
you
three
year,
worship.
How
does
one
get
a
street
on
this
list
for
the
next
time?
This
comes
forward
because
there
are
some
areas
that
are
around
schools
that
cause
problems
in
in
the
district
represent
and
be
interested
in
how
this
can
be
addressed.
Also
like
right,
beside
rona
on
anderson
drive,
there
is
a
problem
with
parking.
So
how
do
we
in
the
future
if
a
resident
wishes
to
bring
forward
a
competition
to
have
parking
enforcement
enacted
in
such
a
little
parking
zone?
How
does
one
get
that
established.
A
F
Kitten
through
you,
mr
mayor,
these
changes.
Some
of
the
changes
that
are
in
this
report
were
identified
through
previous
work
as
part
of
some
of
the
consultation
that
we
had
done
in
school
safety
zones
in
accordance
with
the
active
transportation
plan.
F
A
Okay,
so
with
that,
we
will
call
the
vote
on
clause
one
all
those
in
favor
opposed
and
that's
carried.
G
H
H
A
H
Okay
and
then
the
other
related
question
that-
and
this
is
something
that
I
have
had-
questions
about-
people
were
wondering
how
long
the
over
19
parking
community.
I
guess
you
can
call
it
the
parking
immunity,
how
long
that
will
be
if
we've
talked
about.
A
That's
a
really
important
question
counselor,
I'm
just
I
just
think
it
lies
outside
of
the
bounds
of
what
this
particular
item
is
so
so
I'm
sure
we'll
have
some
some
follow-up
discussions
and
and
perhaps
tomorrow
to
that
staff
report.
That
would
be
a
good
time
to
ask
that
yeah.
H
H
So
so
the
parking
changes
shouldn't
impact
my
residence
very
much,
but
in
general
I
think
it's
a
good
idea
to
have
metered
parking
by
the
washrooms
in
the
center
of.
H
That
has
been
constructed
parking
until
now
and
I've
seen
it
abused
at
times,
so
that's
probably
a
good
idea
and
and
then
the
addition
of
the
meter
parking
on
king
street,
obviously
with
the
proximity
to
the
hospital.
That's
also
a
good
idea,
because
that's
what
we
have
on
stewart
street
and
it
works
well
there.
So
I'm
in
favor
of
this.
D
A
Okay,
thank
you
so
with
that
we
will
call
the
vote
on
clause
one
all
those
in
favor
opposed
and
that's
carried.
Okay
on
to
clause,
two
asset
transfer
from
town
homes,
kingston
to
kingston,
frontenac,
housing,
corporation.
A
We'll
call
the
vote
all
those
in
favor
posed
and
that
carries
okay.
We
have
nothing
from
committee
of
the
whole
information
reports.
If
you
have
a
question,
just
raise
your
hand
as
I
read
through
them
number
one
tender
and
contract
awards,
subject
to
the
established
criteria
for
delegation
of
authority
for
the
month
of
march
2020.
