If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
B
Ready
all
right
with
that
said
good
afternoon,
everyone
lovely
to
have
everybody
here
and
see
you
or
hear
you
in
some
cases.
Moving
on
to
our
meeting
and
calling
its
order,
we'll
look
to
the
approval
of
the
agenda.
Everybody's
had
a
chance
to
look
at
the
agenda.
The
information.
Are
there
any
comments
or
things
to
raise
with
the
agenda
all
right
and
seeing
none
can
I
have
a
mover
and
a
seconder
for
the
agenda.
Please
I
see
chloe
and
I
see
leia
and
all
those
in
favor.
C
B
B
Audio
today,
I'm
in
favor
as
well
great
glenn,
thanks
I'll,
remember,
to
keep
checking
in
with
you,
so
that
is
carried
moving
on
to
confirmation
of
the
minutes.
Everyone's
had
a
chance
to
have
a
look
at
the
minutes,
I'm
hoping
were
there
any
comments,
concerns
or
things
that
people
wanted
to
raise
from
the
minutes,
seeing
none
and
glenn.
You
were
okay
with
the
minutes,
yep,
no
issues.
B
Okay,
could
I
have
a
mover
and
a
seconder
for
the
minutes?
Then
please,
I
see
caitlin
and
I
saw
susan
way
up
in
the
top
corner
of
my
screen,
hello,
susan.
So
we
have
a
move
in
our
seconder.
All
those
in
favor.
B
And
glenn
had
already
said
that
he
had
no
problems
with
that,
so
assuming
that's
fine
still,
that
is
carried
moving
on
to
the
next
section.
Does
anybody
have
a
disco
disclosure
of
pecuniary
interest
for
today.
B
Seeing
none
glenn
you're
good,
also
thanks,
awesome,
so
we'll
move
on
to
delegations.
We
have
no
delegations
on
to
briefings.
I
don't
have
any
briefings
marked
down
so
we'll
move
on
to
seven
on
our
agenda,
which
is
the
business
items
and
7a,
which
is
an
update
on
the
transportation
and
public
works
initiatives
for
2020.
D
Hi
and
thank
you,
mr
chair,
my
name
is
luke
falwell,
I'm
the
director
of
engineering
services
for
the
city
of
kingston
I'll
be
presenting
a
briefing
on
the
report,
that's
in
front
of
the
committee
today,
regarding
updates
to
the
transportation
and
public
works
group
and
give
you
some
insight
into
the
work
that
we've
done
in
in
2019
and
a
few
for
2020
sorry
and
some
upcoming
projects
in
2021
next
slide.
Please.
D
D
So
over
the
next
12
slides
I'll
just
show
some
some
images
and
and
try
to
describe
some
of
the
work
that
has
been
completed.
D
So
first
on
the
screen
is
a
taylor,
kid
boulevard
and
bexley
gate
where
there's
a
new
intersection.
That's
been
completed
in
support
of
the
development
to
the
south
on
the
former
nortel
site
and
as
part
of
that
intersection
improvement,
we've
added
new
bus
pads
on
the
eastbound
and
the
westbound
in
order
to
support
the
the
future
development.
That's
coming
next
slide.
D
And
I
guess
before
I
go
too
far,
mr
chair,
would
you
like
me
to
go
through
the
entire
presentation
and
and
wait
for
questions
at
the
end?
Would
that
be
preferred
method,
or
should
I
pause
for
questions
as
as
I
go.
D
Okay,
yeah
no
problem
sounds
good
and
we're
happy
to
to
flip
back
to
if
we'd
like
to
discuss
a
specific
project
in
more
detail.
John
counter
boulevard.
So
next
thursday
november
12th,
we
will
be
officially
opening
the
bridge
over
the
cn
tracks,
which
has
been
a
significant
barrier
for
all
modes
of
transportation
and
all
mobilities
across
the
level
crossing,
and
it's
been
since
about
2007.
D
The
entire
john
counter
boulevard
project
first
started,
and
this
will
be
the
completion
which
is
phase
5b,
and
it
includes
the
overpass
but
also
includes
new
sidewalks
new
bus
pads
new
connection
into
the
via
station,
and
also
significantly
improved
intersection
improvements,
including
warning
tactile
surfaces
at
the
intersections
and
also
you'll,
see
in
the
picture
on
the
left.
The
green
bike
box
area
is
dedicated
for
cyclists
and
there's
additional
improvements
at
the
intersections
in
these
locations.
D
D
This
is
an
image
at
the
via
station
itself.
They
are
also
undergoing
some
very
much
needed
improvements
to
the
site
and
the
access,
and
you
can
there's
a
significantly
wider,
sidewalk
and
accessible
sidewalk
with
a
more
truncated
warning
plates
that
will
lead
further
to
the
station
in
the
background,
as
an
aid
to
to
move
move
individuals
in
in
the
right
direction
of
the
station
next
slide.
Please.
D
On
the
more
eastern
end
of
john
counter
boulevard
at
leroy
grant
we
have
upgraded
a
an
intersection
for
bike
boxes
and
pedestrians
as
well.
We
describe
on-site
some
of
the
new
features
for
for
cycling
infrastructure
and
for
pedestrians,
and
this
is
a
connection
point
on
the
leroy
grant
pathway
that
was
recently
completed
that
connects
down
to
third
avenue
and
certainly
further
south
in
the
community
as
a
as
a
key
mode
of
transportation.
D
For
for
all
abilities,
there
are
resting
areas
along
the
pathway,
as
you
move
north
and
south.
This
is
a
key
connection
to
the
new
high
school
at
the
northern
portion
of
champlain
park
next
slide.
Please.
D
As
part
of
the
city's
support
for
the
downtown
businesses,
the
love
kingston
marketplace
was
implemented
in
in
june
of
this
year
and
that
included
utilizing
some
of
the
existing
lay-bys
along
princess
street
and
some
of
the
surrounding
streets,
and
as
part
of
that,
we
looked
to
provide
some
accessible
routes
and
improvements
down
into
the
lay-bys,
as
they
were
in
most
cases
obstructed
by
barrier
curbs
and
we,
we
created
some
some
larger
platforms
that
that
allowed
for
accessible
routes
down
into
the
space,
and
we
also
facilitated
the
procurement
of
some
smaller
ramps
as
well
and
ensured
that
we
worked
with
our
our
partners
in
the
downtown
area
to
provide
accessible,
seating
and
routes
in
these
newly
curated
public
spaces.
D
D
Baybridge
drive
and
cedarwood
drive
did
some
improvements
to
to
add
some
signalized
intersection
and
there's
a
crossing
component
here
that,
on
the
west
side,
will
provide
that
does
provide
access
to
a
wider
pathway
to
the
daycare
and
the
west
side
of
bay
ridge
south
of
cedarwood,
and
it
was
a
very
certainly
challenging
area
to
cross
without
the
controlled
intersection
components.
D
D
As
part
of
our
annual
maintenance
program
within
public
works,
we
improve
sidewalks
that
have
been
identified
for
replacement
and
at
locations
where
they,
the
work
coincides
with
an
intersection
we're
installing
the
tactile
warning
plates
cast
in
place
black
and
in
some
cases,
cast
iron
that
have
been
painted
with
with
the
black
paint
to
to
ensure
that
the
contrast
with
the
surrounding
sidewalk
and
road
surface
are
visibly
acceptable
and
we'll
continue
to
do
these
improvements
in
our
retrofit
situation,
as
we
replace
sidewalks
and
in
some
cases,
wider
platform
replacement,
including
the
road
next
slide.
D
D
Public
public
works
is
part
of
their
annual
maintenance
of
our
play
structure.
Facilities
continues
to
to
add
and
improve
the
play
surface
after
renovation
and
even
prior
to
renovation.
So
in
this
case,
what
we're
seeing
is
the
the
play
surface
has
been
supplemented
with
additional
wood
fibers
that
improve
the
accessibility
into
the
space,
there's
also
accessible
routes
and
and
ramps
that
lead
into
the
the
play
structure,
areas
to
provide
to
provide
access
without
barriers
to
the
newly
renovated
recreation
and
play
structure
areas
next
slide.
Please.
D
An
image
of
grass
creek
park,
washroom
and
change
room
facility
renovation.
This
structure
was
formally
housed
at
the
marine
museum
and
and
covered
the
phoebe
steam
steamship.
That
was
on
site,
that's
currently
in
storage,
and
we
repurposed
this
structure
in
support
with
the
pittsburgh
community
benefit
fund
of
of
a
contribution
of
five
hundred
thousand
dollars
to
renovate
and
we'll
certainly
upgrade
the
washroom
facilities
at
grass
creek
park,
they're
they're,
fully
accessible
with
a
men's
women's
and
individual
washrooms
and
change
area
that
that
support
the
function
of
grass
creek
park.
D
The
building
itself
is
just
being
finalized
and
will
be
open
officially
for
the
summer
of
2021.
next
slide.
Please.
D
In
breakwater
park
we
have
been,
since
the
opening
two
summers
ago
been
utilizing
mobile
washroom
facilities
and,
as
a
result
of
certainly
the
demand
at
this
site.
We
have
developed
a
more
of
a
portable
washroom
system,
similar
to
in
size
to
a
sea
can,
if
you
will,
that
includes
a
large
individual,
washroom,
fully
accessible
and
also
a
more
standard
sized
facility
in
the
middle
signage
isn't
shown
on
on
this
current
image.
D
But
it
will
be
fully
signed
with
the
appropriate
signage
delineating
and
indicating
that
the
spaces
there
will
also
be
accessible
change
stalls
on
the
outside,
but
not
contained
within
this
building
and
again,
this
facility
was
recently
completed,
but
will
officially
be
opened
in
the
summer
of
2021.
D
Please,
along
our
waterfront
and
a
number
of
pathways
as
a
result
of
high
water.
In
2019,
we
experienced
some
damaging
waves,
last
fall
in
2019
and
also
in
2017,
and
we've
done
some
spot
repairs
similar
to
the
one
shown
here.
This
is
leading
you're
looking
towards
portsmouth
olympic
harbor.
At
this
location
we
will
be.
We
currently
are
designing
and
we'll
have
a
project
on
the
market
later.
D
This
fall
that
does
a
complete
upgrade
from
lake
ontario
park
to
portsmouth
olympic
harbor,
including
the
steep
section
just
south
of
the
providence
care
hospital,
and
we
will
be
adding
an
accessible
route
to
ensure
that
the
full
length
of
the
pathway
will
be
accessible
and
there's
a
few
other
steep
sections
of
that
pathway.
That
will
also
be
be
made
accessible.
Following
that
the
completion
of
that
project
next
slide,
please.
D
Another
example
of
a
recently
completed
park
renovation
project.
D
This
is
napier
street
parquet,
formerly
the
saint
joseph
st
mary's
catholic
school,
where
the
city
acquired
the
property
and
closed
the
road
between
mac
and
brock
street,
and
we've
created
some
delineation
using
the
large,
concrete
blue
balls
that
are
that
are
shown
here
to
certainly
remind
people
that
you
can't
drive
through
this
section
anymore,
but
there
is
a
wide
multi-use
pathway
in
the
image
on
the
right
that
that
allows
for
accessible
pedestrians
and
certainly
cyclists,
to
continue
to
move
north
south
through
the
space
and
also
east-west,
where
we
have
upgraded
the
and
added
new
play
structures
next
slide.
D
D
One
is
richardson
beach
bath
house,
similar
layout
and
construction
to
the
grass
creek
park,
washroom
and
change
room
facility
that
was
upgraded.
This
is
a
heritage
building
that
we
are
currently
going
through
the
interior
designs,
but
we're
also
doing
an
upgrade
to
the
shoreline
to
provide
accessible
access
to
the
water
at
this
location
as
well.
It's
currently
not
accessible
and
will
be
a
great
improvement,
not
to
the
same
extent
in
terms
of
complexity
that
was
completed
at
breakwater
park
in
gordac
or
downey,
pier,
but
a
wonderful
improvement
to
the
city.
Kingston
waterfront.
D
A
new
park
that
we're
currently
designing
in
partnership
with
the
french
school
boards
is
located
in
along
wheat
hill,
which
we're
referring
to
as
wheat
hill
park,
and
that's
close
to
the
intersection
of
taylor,
kit
and
bexley
gate
that
I
showed
the
intersection
of
the
development.
D
Previously,
this
park
will
be
developed
and
constructed
constructed
in
partnership
with
the
school
boards
likely
over
the
period
2021
2022
and
I've.
I
mentioned
the
waterfront
pathway
lake
ontario
park
to
portsmouth
olympic
harbor,
which
will
be
under
construction
in
2021
as
well.
Next
slide,
please
and
that's
the
summary
for
the
transportation
and
public
works
group.
Thank
you
very
much.
B
Thank
you
very
much
director
falwell.
Does
anybody
have
any
questions
or
comments.
B
I'm
not
seeing
any
at
the
immediate
moment,
but
I
have
a
couple.
I
have
a
couple
for
you,
they're
they're
one
is
a
small
one
and
one's
just
a
question.
B
If
you
don't
mind
now
that
we're
going
or
we
seem
to
be
going
as
a
city
and
we'll
probably
go
further
into
active
transportation
and
the
roots
of
active
transportation,
I
know
on
a
couple
of
projects,
it's
come
to
my
mind
and
and
it's
not
addressed
in
the
aoda
really
or
in
design
of
public
spaces,
but
where
we
have
bicycle
traffic
or
skateboard
traffic
crossing
an
existing
pedestrian
route
and
what
type
of
warning
we're
not
required
to
put
warning
there
or
anything?
B
B
So
that
was
one
I
wanted
to
raise.
And
then
my
question
was
as
a
layperson
as
a
committee
member
but
also
reading
about
transit.
I
had
just
wondered,
I
guess
the
way
I
would
express
it
is.
I
know
that
we're
going
to
be
looking
at
all
kinds
of
financial
savings
and
ways
that
we
can,
we
can
be
creative
to
ensure
we
don't
overspend
ourselves
so
to
speak,
based
on
the
past
year
and
the
pandemic,
and
everything
that's
going
on.
B
I
just
wondered
whether
you
anticipate
that
there
would
be
anything
not
proactive
projects
or
or
pushing
off
deadlines,
but
is
there
any
services
that
we
would
anticipate
meaningfully
changing
at
all
for
provision
of
transit
for
accessibility,
so
everything
from
taxi
cabs
to
buses
of
varying
types,
both
the
public
buses
and
the
and
the
accessibility
buses
themselves?
B
D
Thank
you,
and
through
you,
mr
chair,
so
in
regards
to
additional
services
from
a
transfer
perspective
is.
Is
that
what
you're
asking
or
are
we
looking
at
reducing
the
the
current
level
of
service?
So
the
answer
is
currently
the
level
of
service
from
a
transfer
perspective
is
not
anticipated
to
change,
and
certainly
the
transit
group
had
great
ambitions
to
increase
the
level
of
service
prior
to
the
pandemic
and
that
those
are
currently
on
hold,
but
not
in
the
sense
of
reducing
service
any
further.
D
So
you
know
we're
proceeding
with
transit
station
upgrades
as
currently
a
public
engagement
process.
That's
happening
now
also
on
the
agenda
on
the
an
item
on
the
agenda
today,
so
it
is
going
to
continue
to
proceed.
Certainly,
we
have
secured
and
procured
two
electric
buses,
so
the
investment.
D
Thankfully,
on
the
transit
side,
we
have
received
significant
federal
grants
through
the
isip
program
that
support
active
transportation
and
transit
totaling
close
to
100
million
dollars
over
the
next
10
years.
So
that's
more
on
the
capital
infrastructure.
I
recognize
that
and,
and
we're
certainly
hopeful
to
to
be
able
to
gain
back
a
significant
amount
of
our
ridership.
D
That
has
transitioned
over
the
last
eight
months
and
as
our
transit
team
continues
to
work
closely
with
our
major
partners
to
to
try
and
get
people
back
on
transit
where
they
can,
but
we
also
recognize
that
a
significant
number
of
our
population
is
working
from
home.
So
so
those
modes
are
changing
and
there
can
they
continue
to
monitor
and
make
recommendations
on
appropriate
directions
to
support
the
transit
service
cool.
D
Thank
you,
and
certainly
on
the
on
the
point
about
the
active
transportation
pathways
point
point
well
taken,
certainly,
and
and-
and
hopefully
we
get
to
that
point-
where
we
have
a
number
of
pedestrians
and
cyclists
within
our
our
network-
that
we
need
to,
you
know
essentially
control
intersections.
D
If
you
will
that
aren't
vehicle-driven
changes
so
we'll
monitor
that
and
we
do
have
that
type
of
infrastructure,
certainly
within
the
roadway
warnings
drivers
that
cyclists
are
are
in
that
space,
so
it
should
likely
go
the
other
way
as
well,
where
cyclists
are
warned
that
pedestrians
are
in
the
space
and
vice
versa,
so
I'll
relay
that
back
to
their
transportation,
services,
team
and-
and-
and
thank
you
for
the
comment.
E
Hi,
I
have
a
question,
but
it
was
based
on
looking
at
the
reports.
E
So
I
don't
know
if
this
is
beyond
the
scope
of
what
what
I
can
ask
about,
but
maybe
I'll
just
ask
you
and-
and
you
can
tell
me
one
thing-
I
I
noticed
when
I
I
read
the
the
the
attach
report
was
emphasis
on-
I
guess
some
of
the
solid
waste
management
and
also
sidewalk
accessibility
and
repair,
and
I
guess
one
one
question
I
had-
and
I
guess
also
with
snow
removal
what
mechanisms
are
in
place
to
communicate
to
people
in
the
community
who
may
require
encounter
difficulties
with
snow
removal
or
may
require
some
of
the
assistance
that
was
outlined
in
terms
of
the
solid
waste
management
or
identifying
sidewalks
that
impact
on
accessibility.
D
Yeah,
thank
you
and
through
you,
mr
chair,
a
number
of
those
items
are
communicated
through
the
city's
website,
but
I
don't
want
to
use
that
as
a
as
a
reason
not
to
communicate
it
to
because
it's
challenging
to
find
that
information
on
the
website.
D
So
it's
always
in
our
our
work
recommend
that
if
someone,
unfortunately
they
need
to
reach
out
to
us
and
the
easiest
way
to
do
that
is
through
our
contact
center
and
contact
us
and
that
information
and
that
request
will
get
to
the
home
department
and
it
will
be
addressed
in
a
very
timely
manner.
So
we
try
to
respond
to
those
inquiries
within
48
hours.
D
So
that
would
be
my
recommendation
to
to
share
and
if
there
are
individual
needs
that
need
to
be
addressed,
we
will
treat
them
on
a
case-by-case
basis
and
I'll
I'll
work
with
elizabeth
here
and
just
double
check
within
our
group
as
to
what
components
are
shared
on
our
website
in
a
in
an
easy
to
find
way.
If
you
search
keywords
as
an
example
and-
and
I
don't
have
the
answer
to
that-
I'm
sorry,
but
we
always
recommend
to
go
through
contact
us.
B
The
other
follow-up
I
do
to
that
susan
is
usually
within
a
given
year.
There
are
different
departments
that
come
to
talk
about
things,
so
usually
engineering
comes
on
their
own
and
and
and
so
it
may
be-
that
when
those
individual
departments
come,
you
can
address
it
more
meaningfully
with
them
about
how
snow
removal
might
be
done,
as
opposed
to
other
other
concerns
you
raised,
so
you
have
more
than
one
opportunity
or
the
committee
has
more
than
one
opportunity
to
follow
up
these
things.
F
C
B
Now,
bye,
so
moving
on
to
business
item
7b
program
and
special
event,
update
report
that
is
attached
to
the
agenda
is
it
jacqueline?
Is
that
going
to
be
who's.
G
Hi
everyone
thanks
thanks
for
having
me
today
here
on
the
screen
with
you
all,
certainly
nice,
to
see
a
lot
of
familiar
faces
myself.
My
name
is
jacqueline
grimmon
for
those
who
I
haven't
met,
I'm
the
manager
of
recreation
programs
with
the
city's
recreation,
leisure
services
department.
So,
within
my
portfolio
of
the
department,
we
oversee
the
recreation
programs
group,
the
special
events
office
and
the
the
aquatics
team.
G
So
I
like
to
call
us
the
fun
department
of
the
city,
but
certainly
a
lot
of
information
to
share
you'll,
see
that
this
this
report
does
refer
to
2019
activities,
so
we
were
kind
of
slotted
earlier
in
the
year
to
provide
these
updates.
So
certainly
didn't
want
to.
G
You
know
forget
to
provide
these
these
important
updates
for
the
the
year
in
review
in
terms
of
what
what
took
place
in
2019
if
you're,
okay,
mr
chair,
I
can
just
just
jump
right
into
the
presentation
here.
G
Thank
you,
okay.
So,
first
of
all,
like
I
said,
I
appreciate
the
time
today
to
to
come
and
present
these
items
and
updates
to.
You
certainly
appreciate
all
the
the
ongoing
feedback
and
and
comments
that
are
provided
by
the
committee
and
you
know,
and
by
members
of
the
community,
with
regards
to
accessibility
and
inclusion
throughout
the
year.
G
We
continue
to,
you
know,
remain
flexible
and
and
work
with
everyone
to
to
make
sure
that
that
we
can
adapt
wherever
needed
to
to
make
sure
that
you
know
the
residents
of
of
kingston
have
the
best
experience
possible
at
any
of
our
programs
or
events.
G
Please
so
the
recreation
leisure
services
guide
that
goes
out
by
annually
is
is
distributed
to
to
all
homes
in
kingston.
It
is
typically
distributed
in
both
march
and
september,
so
a
fall
and
winter
and
a
spring
and
summer
edition.
We
we
produce
that
both
in
hard
copy
distributed
to
homes,
and
then
we
also
have
an
electronic
version-
that's
aoda,
compliant
and
accessible
on
the
city's
website.
G
So
we
really
have,
you
know
continued
to
receive
good
feedback
over
the
years
about
this
guide
and,
and
people
really
do
kind
of
keep
this
as
a
coffee
table
book
when
they
receive
that
at
home,
and
and
certainly
we
see
a
lot
of
traffic
through
the
city's
website
with
people
referring
to
the
various
pages
of
this
of
this
guide,
whether
it's
looking
up
a
registered
program
and
some
information
with
regards
to
that
or
looking
for
a
partner
program
or
or
a
drop-in
service
or
facility
information.
G
We
we
continue
to
to
work
based
on
the
feedback
that
this
committee
and
and
our
patrons
provide
to
to
make
this
guide
a
great
resource
for
the
community
next
slide.
Please.
G
So,
just
a
few,
a
few
highlights
of
the
guide,
so
we
do
include
a
specific
page
with
regards
to
any
inclusion
and
special
needs
services.
G
So
what
you
know
what
that
entails
any
particular
contacts
if
there's
supports
required
to
participate
in
programs,
you
know,
and
some
some
very
tailored
and
specific
programs
that
we
do
offer.
We
do
highlight
that
in
a
specific
section
of
the
guide,
we
also
have
the
information
available
on
the
website
as
well.
Next
slide.
G
Please
so
again,
just
just
some
website
highlights
outside
of
the
the
recreation
leisure
services
guide,
which
you
know
we
do
provide
online
and
then
as
well
in
in
any
additional
formats
that
that
are
requested.
We
do
feature
a
section
of
the
website
dedicated
to
adapted
programs,
which
just
kind
of
highlight
a
current
list
of
a
program
availability
links
to
to
certain
contacts
and
resources
and
we've,
certainly,
you
know,
continued
to
receive
feedback
that
that's
you
know,
that's
a
trafficked
and
and
well
used
page.
G
We
also
on
that
page
provide
a
contact
to
a
direct
staff
member.
So,
aside
from
the
the
contact
us
general
city
line,
we
also
have
dedicated
recreation
programmers
that
that
can
speak
to
the
various
adopted
programs
and
inclusion
supports
that
are
available
in
our
department.
G
So,
just
moving
on
to
recreation
facility
highlights,
we,
you
know
continue
to.
You
know,
provide
accessible
facilities,
we're
working
on
a
great
facility
now
with
a
number
of
other
departments
around
the
city,
the
kingston
east
community
center,
which
for
anybody,
that's
that's
living
in
the
east
end
or
that's
been
by
highway.
15
and
grenadier
drive
you'll,
see
the
construction
app
action
going
on
there
so
again,
another
great
accessible
facility
that
we're
bringing
online
currently
the
the
invista
and
the
invista
fitness
and
wellness
center.
G
The
artillery
park
aquatic
center,
which
we're
actually
just
putting
water
in
the
pool
and
getting
ready
to
reopening
reopen
that
facility
in
the
coming
weeks,
a
great
great
accessible
facility
with
with
a
full
lap
pool
and
warm
water
therapy
pool.
We've
got
some
again
fully
accessible
fitness
equipment
available
at
that
site.
G
We've
got
aquatic
wheelchairs
that
are
available
for
use
at
at
no
charge
for
those
requiring
them
to
access
the
pool
we
do
have.
You
know
a
zero-grade
entry,
a
ramp
that
that
can
take
people
into
the
pool
and
the
aquatic
wheelchairs
have
have
certainly
been
well
used.
G
We
just
replaced
two
within
the
last
year
and
and
had
brought
all
of
those
the
compliment
from
artillery
park
and
and
the
two
additional
that
we
have
at
the
outdoor
aqua
park
to
the
outdoor
aqua
park
this
summer,
when,
when
that
facility
was,
was
the
only
a
pool
in
the
in
the
area
open
for
the
summer,
so
certainly
continue
to
to
provide
those
to
the
community
and
and
replace
as
as
necessary.
G
We
did
also
last
year
install
a
a
service
dog
hook
on
the
pool
deck,
so
those
individuals
requiring
that
can
bring
their
service
animals
to
the
pool
and
there
is
a
tie
up
area
for
them.
We
do
have
a
two
very
regular
users
that
that
do
use
that
service
and
and
that's
been
well
received
the
outdoor
aqua
park
again
that
that
gradual
beach
entry,
the
the
aquatic
wheelchair,
is
available
in
in
2019.
G
We
we
had
two
of
those
and,
as
I
mentioned
this
this
summer,
we
provided
all
four
they
complement
from
artillery
park
and
the
two
as
well
at
the
outdoor
aqua
park
and
again
those
are
available
at
at
no
charge
for
use
during
aquatic
programming
times
next
slide.
Please.
G
The
rito
heights
community
center,
the
most
recent
facility
that
we
brought
online
a
great
facility
if
you
haven't
been
there,
certainly
encourage
you
to
that
facility,
is,
is
currently
open.
We
work
with
some
great
community
partners
who
provide
programming
at
that
facility
and
some
of
those
being
the
boys
and
girls
club
more
recently,
the
ymca,
the
seniors
association
and
loving
spoonful.
G
Some
really
neat
features
of
that
facility
that
that
have
kind
of
gained
some
attention
and
in
some
of
the
program,
possibilities
and
opportunities.
There's
a
community
teaching
kitchen
at
that
facility
with
accessible
height,
counters
and
and
appliances.
So
we
do
have
some
adjustable
counters
that
can
adjust
from
table
to
to
counter
height,
and
you
know
that
that
does
kind
of
increase
the
the
opportunities
for
programming
and
the
the
accessibility
of
that
space.
G
G
G
So,
in
terms
of
some
more
recreation
program
highlights,
we
do
like
to
ensure
that
as
much
as
possible,
we,
we
do,
you
know,
get
out
to
the
community
and
encourage
people
to
to
pop
in
and
and
participate
in
programs
and
services
within
our
our
great
recreation
facilities
across
the
city.
So
we
do
partner
with
the
kingston
gets
active
organization
in
the
in
the
spring
and
fall
every
year
to
ensure
we
can
provide
some.
G
What
we
call
try
it
programs
for
the
community,
so
you
know
without
requiring
a
drop-in
fee
or
or
a
membership.
People
can
pop
into
to
various
programming
in
those
facilities
and
and
try
them
out.
So
some
of
them
are
listed
here.
We
do
a
therapeutic
lotties,
a
strength,
training,
an
aqua
arthritis,
so
both
a
mix
of
of
dry
land
and
aquatics
programs
for
for
individuals
to
try
out
and
then
as
well
an
arts
and
interest
program.
G
Next
slide.
Please.
G
I
also
just
want
to
point
out
the
the
photos
that
you're
seeing
throughout
throughout
the
slides.
You
know
these
are
these
are
not
you
know,
stock
images,
these
are
actual
images
of
of
our
various
facilities
and
the
programs
and
and
the
great
participants
that
that
we've
been
able
to
work
with
throughout
the
years.
G
This
certainly
being
a
great
one,
and
we
continue
to
see
the
attendance
climb
for
the
the
leisure
connections
program
and,
and
certainly
the
the
summer
baseball.
You
know
every
year
we
do
see
an
incline
and
again
in
in
2019
we
saw
31
participants.
You
know
join
that
that
program
and
and
come
out
for
for
a
great
baseball
season.
G
G
So
summer
camps,
we-
as
I
mentioned
before
you
know,
have
have
been
grateful
for
the
the
support
and
the
feedback
that
we've
received
from
the
mac
committee
and-
and
certainly
this
is
a
great
example
of
that
and
because
I
believe
it
did
did
come
up
in
one
of
the
the
previous
annual
updates
is
there
was
you
know,
interest
in
in
more
services,
and
certainly
asl
was
was
high
on
that
priority
in
terms
of
being
able
to
to
provide
more
opportunities
for
those
that
require
the
asl
interpretation.
G
So
we
did
work
with
with
our
staff
to
provide
some
additional
training
and
you
know
be
able
to
open
up
opportunities
for
other
individuals
to
to
access
our
summer
camp
programs,
and
that
was
done
both
through
our
our
summer,
integration,
staff
and
and
working
with
the
community
living
organization
as
well.
So
in
terms
of
the
staff
training,
we,
you
know
every
year,
look
to
increase,
you
know
the
the
opportunity
and
the
knowledge
for
our
staff
to
people
to
be
pre
able
to
provide.
G
You
know
the
best
possible
experience
for
our
camp
participants.
So
some
of
that
training
does
include.
You
know
the
asl
training,
behavior
management,
autism
awareness,
mental
health,
first
aid
and,
and
certainly
the
anaphylaxis
training
for
for
those
with
severe
allergies,
and
you
can
see
some
of
the
the
camp
participants
there
enjoying
themselves
next
slide.
G
G
So,
as
I
mentioned
before,
when
I
was
talking
about
the
rito
heights
community
center,
we
work
with
a
number
of
great
organizations
across
the
city.
You
know,
certainly
you
know
this.
The
city
recreation
department
provides
programs
and
services,
but
there's
other
great
service
providers
around
this.
The
city-
and
you
know
we-
we
certainly
don't
need
to
duplicate
those
efforts.
G
We
can
work
together
to
be
better
for
the
community,
so
just
a
number
of
them
listed
here,
the
seniors
association
we
we
every
year
work
with
them
closely
to
continue
to
increase
an
offering
of
programs
across
the
city.
G
The
von
the
the
four
fall
preventions
programs
that
that
we
work
with
them
to
facilitate
each
year
again,
the
kingston
gets
active,
the
the
free
try
it
sessions
in
the
spring
and
fall
hotel.
Do
we've
been
working
with
for
a
number
of
years
on
a
chronic
pain
clinic?
They
had
been
facilitating
that
that
clinic
specifically
at
their
location
and
really
wanted
to
get
out
and
integrate
some
of
their
clients
back
into
the
community.
G
So
we've
worked
with
them
at
at
artillery
park
to
to
ensure
we
can
provide
them
with.
You
know,
access
to
a
great
recreation
facility
and
then
kind
of
once
they
transition
out
of
their
their
program
with
hotel
jiu.
They
are
set
up
to
to
continue
on
that
success
with
membership
at
our
facilities,
the
kingston
immigration
services,
so
some
facility
orientations
that
we
continue
to
provide
in
a
variety
of
languages
and
and
working
through
with
translation
services.
G
It's
amazing
what
what
google
translate
can
do,
but
also
working
with
with
other
organizations
around
the
city,
to
ensure
that
you
know
the
opportunity
can
be
equal
for
for
all
residents
of
the
city,
again:
education
and
training
opportunities,
so
continuing
to
provide
those
both
for
the
community
and
for
our
staff
members
and
then
the
the
loving
spoonful
partnership,
certainly
at
the
rideau
heights
community
community
center,
so
providing
a
large
number
of
accessible
cooking
classes
and
we
work
closely
with
them
as
well
on
the
community
gardens
and
ensuring
there's
some
access
to
accessible
community
gardening
opportunities
around
the
city.
G
So
in
terms
of
education
support-
and
some
of
this
I've
touched
on
already-
we-
we
do
offer
support
positions
for
recreation
programs
and
the
leisure
leisure
connections
program.
We
in
2019
had
four
summer
student
staff
dedicated
to
supporting
children
in
summer
camp
programs
and
again
that
did
include
the
asl
support
when
that
was
required.
G
We
host
every
year
a
number
of
great
volunteer
and
placement
students
from
from
various
programs,
whether
that's
high
school
based
or
working
closely
with
our
partners
at
st
lawrence
college
and
queens
university
and
and
some
of
their
their
programs
that
that
certainly
have
a
direct
connection
to
to
adapted
programming
and
accessibility.
G
So
taking
you
through
a
few
of
the
2019
events
and
some
of
the
accessibility
highlights
of
those,
so
the
the
victoria
day
celebrations,
we've
seen
continued
increase
in
attendance
to
to
that
event
down
at
at
lake
ontario
park
and
that's
a
daytime
event
and
with
a
nighttime
fireworks
component
to
it.
G
G
We've
worked
in
the
past
number
of
years
to
provide
shuttle
service
to
the
event
to
ensure
that
you
know
we're
not
encouraging
everyone
to
drive
down
directly
to
the
site
and
and
create
some
issues
for
our
traffic
partners.
But
we
have
worked
to
provide
a
shuttle
service
with
with
kingston
transit
and
again
an
accessible
shuttle
service,
and
we
did
increase
that
to
three
sites.
G
Previously,
we
had
done
two
different
spots
for
for
that
accessible,
pickup
and
drop
off,
and
just
saw
such
great
pick
up
to
that
that
that
we
did
add
a
third
site
in
in
2019
the
the
food
vendors.
There
is
an
area
of
food
vendors
as
well
at
that
event,
so
because
that
is
a
you
know,
a
multi-uh
hour
event
that
kind
of
stretches
throughout
the
day,
and
we
do
provide
that
that
service
and
a
small
food
court
area
we
do
when
we
solicit
for
those
vendors.
G
We
do
ask
them
to
provide
an
accessible
customer
service
policy
to
ensure
that,
because
a
lot
of
food
trucks
are
not
necessarily
set
up
with
a
you
know,
a
lower
level
counter.
So
we
do
ask
them
to
provide
a
policy
on
how
they
will
accommodate.
You
know
different
requests
for
for
service
at
the
events
and-
and
that
is
part
of
the
vetting
process
in
us,
bringing
on
vendors
to
our
particular
events.
G
We
have
increased
and
dedicated
accessible
on-site
parking,
so
we
have,
in
in
the
last
number
of
years,
worked
to
only
provide
accessible
parking
on-site.
The
the
remainder
of
the
parking
we've
worked
closely
with
st
lawrence
college
across
the
street
for
access
to
some
of
their
parking
and
again
that's
one
of
the
the
shuttle
location,
pickup
and
drop
drop-offs.
G
But
should
people
need
to
get
closer
to
the
site
for
excel
accessibility
reasons?
We
do
offer
dedicated
accessible
parking
in
in
lake
ontario
park
and
we
do
have
a
security
group
that
manages
letting
people
in
and
out
of
that
we
have
some
entertainment
as
part
of
that
event,
an
accessible
seating
area
dedicated
for
those
requiring
that
and
then
roaming
first
aid
services
just
to
ensure
the
health
and
safety
of
the
of
the
patrons
and
and
volunteers
and
staff.
At
that
event,
next
slide.
G
Please
first
capital
day
continues
to
be
a
popular
program
for
for
school-aged
children
in
in
city
park
each
year.
So
we
host
that
event
in
in
june
again
located
with
with
accessibility
planning
in
mind,
we
plan
everything
around
the
accessible
pathways
throughout
the
park
and
you
know
providing
the
the
washrooms
similar
to
the
ones
that
we
bring
in
for
the
lake
ontario
park
victoria
day
event.
We've
got
emergency
phones
with
braille.
At
that
site.
G
G
Please
so
the
canada
day,
events
we
typically
do
two
canada
day
events,
so
one
downtown
on
the
steps
of
city
hall
and
then
another
one
out
at
at
grass
creek
park.
So
the
official
ceremony
does
take
place,
as
you
can
see
in
this
photo
here
on
the
steps
of
city
hall
with
with
the
town
crier
getting
things
started,
we
do
ensure
that
this
event,
you
know
is,
is
set
up
on
the
the
kings
transit
bus
route.
G
We
provide
some
additional
bike
racks
for
that
for
people
to
come
down
and
enjoy.
We
do
offer
an
accessible
seating
area
for
the
ceremony
itself
for
participants
and
delegates.
G
So
part,
two
of
that
the
the
canada
day
event
at
at
grass
creek
park.
So
again
the
you
know
further
to
luke's
presentation
there
that
the
great
new
accessible
washroom
building
will
will
certainly
be
a
great
addition
to
that
that
location,
the
accessible
washrooms
we
do
bring
in
an
additional
complement
of
those
again,
given
the
the
volume
of
people
that
attend
the
event.
G
We
because
the
parking
at
that
site
is
a
little
bit
of
a
trek
up
into
the
the
main
event
area.
We
do
provide
one,
an
accessible
area
for
parking
closer
to
the
actual
event
attractions,
and
then
we
also
do
provide
you'll,
see
kind
of
this.
This
shuttle
service
from
the
parking
areas
to
and
from
to
to
provide
some
relief.
G
If
it's
been
a
long
day
for
people
or
if
it's
a
if
it's
a
hot
day,
we
also
offer
cool
down
areas
and
and
specific
shade
areas,
because
they
they
are
limited
in
that
that
open
field
area
next
slide.
G
G
We
do
provide
a
very
specific
and
you
can
see
in
the
top
photo
accessible
pathway
through
the
park
we
do
set
up
in
in
one
area
of
the
park,
kind
of
a
marketplace
and
and
vendor
area,
and
this
allows
people
to
to
travel
from
the
the
parking
area
through
the
event
and
the
vendor
marketplace.
G
G
In
the
absence
of
that
on
the
grass
similar
to
the
other
events
with
the
additional
washrooms
bringing
in
and
then
we
do,
provide
golf
cart
shuttles
to
and
from
the
parking
area
and
some
additional
shade
tents
and
mist.
Tents
as
well,
because
that
event
falls
in
august
in
in
usually
the
the
heat
of
the
summer,
and
it
always
seems
to
fall
on
on
one
of
the
hottest
hottest
weekends.
G
G
The
remembrance
day
service
that
the
city
facilitates
at
mcdonald
park
so
similar
to
some
of
the
other
events.
We
work
to
ensure
that
that's
located,
you
know
along
the
kingston
transit
route.
There
are
some
bike
racks
located
in
that
area
as
well.
We
do
provide
an
accessible
seating
area,
you
know
closest
to
to
the
main
podium.
The
assistive
hearing
devices
are
available,
we
do
provide
and
you
can
see
the
photo
here,
an
asl
interpreter
for
the
ceremony,
and
I
believe
that
might
be
the
same.
G
One
we
have
today
ceremony
and
program
is,
is
available
in
both
languages.
We
have
roaming,
first
aid
services
and,
and
then
we
also
offer,
after
after
the
ceremony
across
the
street,
to
to
the
veterans
and
the
ceremony
participants
a
warm
place
to
to
rest
and
and
get
a
bit
of
food
and
beverage,
because
that
can
can
often
be
a
very
cold
day.
G
I'm
not
I'm
not
sure
if
it
will
be
this
year
with
with
a
bit
of
the
heat
wave
that
we're
seeing
now,
but
we've
we've
certainly
had
some
very
cold
years
and
and
when
you're
sitting
out
there
for
the
duration
of
the
ceremony.
It's
it's
often
it
can
be
unbearable,
so
there
is
a
nice
place
to
to
warm
up
and
use
the
washrooms
in
an
accessible
facility
afterwards.
G
The
snow,
much
fun
event
an
event
we've
introduced
in
in
more
recent
years,
located
in
in
springer
market
square
again
that
there's
our
interpreter
she's,
a
gem,
yes
helping
mayor,
patterson,
read,
read
the
mayor's
story
and
that's
a
popular
feature
of
the
event.
Every
year
we
we
put
out
a
bit
of
a
call
to
the
community
to
see
which
story
that
the
mayor
should
read
and
and
again
we
do
provide
the
the
asl
interpreter
service
for
that
we've
got
excel
to
help
with
the
cool
temperatures.
G
That
event
does
take
place
at
the
beginning
of
december,
and
we
we
also
ensure
that
there's
additional
lighting,
because
that
does
happen
after
dark
and
ensure
that
we've
got
accessible,
cable
matting
over
any
of
the
the
cabling.
To
ensure
that
you
know
the
path
of
travel
is
not
obstructed
and
we're
not
creating
any
hazards.
G
G
The
k-town
countdown
so
the
new
year's
eve
event
in
2019
that
event
was
moved.
It
was
previously
at
the
leon
center
and
was
moved
to
the
invista
center
to
allow
for
more
people
to
be
able
to
attend
that,
and
certainly
you
know
greater
access
to
to
parking
at
that
facility
along
a
kingston
transit
route
and
as
well.
You
know
to
be
able
to
accommodate
a
larger
number
of
people.
G
You
know
we'd
had
great
success
at
downtown
at
the
lyon
center,
but
seemed
to
be
kind
of
bursting
at
the
seams
in
terms
of
being
able
to
provide
public
skating
opportunities.
So
it
was.
It
was
a
bit
of
a
natural
transition
that
we
would
move
to
our
you
know.
Premiere
ford
pad
facility
out
in
in
the
city's
west
end
great
attendance
last
year
as
our
inaugural
gear
to
to
moving
that
event.
G
So
we
gained
accessible
activities
throughout
the
facility,
the
increased
skating
opportunities
on
the
four
ice
pads.
We
increased
the
lighting
for
safety,
and
we
did
ensure
that
you
know
certain
rigs
were
dedicated
more
to
family
space,
some
for
for
older
teenage
teenage
age
youth
and
then
also
a
senior
skate.
As
part
of
that,
and
we
did
provide
the
opportunity
for
families
to
bring
their
skating
aides
to
to
help
with
any
young
children
or
those
requiring
any
mobility
needs.
G
So
that
that
concludes
the
the
presentation
you
know
again
certainly
appreciate
the
feedback
and
and
the
the
ongoing
support
for
our
programs
and
services
always
open
to
receiving
your
feedback
and
happy
to
to
take
any
questions.
B
H
Thank
you
just
had
to
unmute
myself.
That's
a
lot
of
great
information,
thanks
jacqueline.
My
only
question
that
I
was
wondering
about
was
you
mentioned
a
lot
about
during
the
events,
the
accessibility
features
and,
what's
offered,
I'm
just
wondering
how
those
accessible
features
are
communicated
to
the
public,
so
that
members
who
may
require
those
aspects
of
the
programs
or
events
are,
they
know
about
them,
and
they
know
that
those
things
are
available
like
how
is
that
mentioned?.
G
Sure
yeah
great
question
through
you,
mr
chair,
to
to
caitlin.
We
that's,
it's
definitely
a
multi-faceted
approach
when
we
do
communicate
things
like
that,
so
in
any
of
our
event,
planning
we
would
also
or
sorry
we
would
include
you
know,
updates
to
our
website
information.
G
Certainly,
we
know
that
you
know
people
get
on
the
google
and
and
look
for
that
information
online,
usually
first
and
foremost,
so
we
do
make
sure
to
to
update
that
information
to
the
website.
So,
typically,
on
our
feature,
events
page-
we
have
links
to
each
of
those
particular
events,
those
annual
events
that
I
highlighted
and
then
we
would
have
any
of
those
specific
accessibility
items.
G
So
if
it's
you
know
where
the
accessible
parking
is
located,
if
there's
an
accessible,
you
know
stage
or
seating
area,
we
would
denote
that
right
in
the
event
information
we've
also
in
the
past,
if
we're
putting
out
posters
or
print
materials,
we
would
include
that
that
there
we
also
provide
the
information
directly
to
the
city's
customer
experience
group.
G
So
for
individuals,
if
they're
calling
into
the
city
or
emailing
in
through
the
contact
us,
they
would
have
that
information
kind
of
at
their
fingertips
and
be
able
to
to
provide
a
response
and
and
any
particulars
about
about
the
specific
events.
G
In
addition
to
that,
you
know
we
do
work
closely,
as
I
mentioned,
with
our
community
partners.
So
any
information
sharing,
I
know
in
the
past,
you
know
kingston,
community
health
centers,
for
instance,
or
or
some
of
our
other
partners
have
have
promoted
the
various
city
events
and
activities,
and
that
also
helps
us
to
you
know
bring
people
back
to
that
website
information
or
to
the
contact
us
group
to
to
make
sure
that
they
can
get
those
specifics
in
particulars.
I
Just
make
a
comment
and
then
a
question:
first,
thank
you
for
recognizing
this
year,
providing
more
interpretation
and
adding
those
logos
and
icons
on
the
promo
materials,
because
there's
a
lot
of
parents
of
deaf
people
in
the
community
that
are
really
acknowledging
that
and
really
applauding
for
the
efforts
and
then
for
the
question.
You
were
talking
about
the
campers
during
the
summer
and
you're,
using
staff
who
are
teaching
asl
or
who's,
providing
the
training,
I'm
just
curious
about
who's,
providing
the
training
to
your
staff.
G
Thank
you
to
you,
mr
chair.
Yes,
certainly
another
great
question,
the
the
training
that
we
provide
to
the
staff
is
is
contracted
by
by
an
organization
that
that's
a
subject
matter
expert,
so
either
an
individual
or
an
organization.
We
would
bring
in
as
the
subject
matter,
expert
to
provide
that
training.
It's
not
necessarily
one
particular
staff
member.
That's
providing
that
training.
We
would
bring
in
a
facilitator
for
that
particular
training
as
well.
I
G
I
That
was
my
yeah.
My
mic
sometimes
cuts
out.
I'm
just
wondering
if
the
parents
are
aware,
because
I
know
many
parents
have
had
to
ask
repeatedly
to
find
out
if
asl
is
provided
and
they're,
not
always
given
a
clear
answer.
So
how
are
the
parents
made
aware.
G
Sure
yeah
through
mr
chair,
we
do
you
know
mention
that
within
some
of
our
camp
documents,
when
we
do
publish
that
information,
you
know
closer
to
the
the
camp
season
for
specific
requests.
It's
it's
often
dependent
on
instructor
availability
and
and
those
staff
members
availability.
G
Who
would
have
those
specific
skill
sets
so
sometimes
until
we
have
those
individuals
in
place,
it's
it's
difficult
for
us
to
to
commit
to
being
able
to
provide
that.
You
know
for
one
two,
four
or
five
different
different
support
individuals,
so
hopefully
that
provides
a
bit
more
clarity.
But
yes,
certainly.
G
If
there's
other
opportunities
or
other
ways
that
you
think
you
know
would
be
helpful
in
making
sure
that
we
can
communicate
that
information
and
and
have
that
in
the
right
places,
I'm
I'm
happy
to
to
work
with
you
on
that.
B
Thank
you,
and
I
see
sherry
with
her
hand,
raised.
K
Thank
you.
I
I'm
just
wondering
this
isn't
so
much
a
question.
As
perhaps
a
suggestion
you
had
highlighted
the
the
the
fact
that
you
are
identifying
the
information
on
the
events
page
of
the
city
website
about
what
accessibility
features
are.
Are
I'm
wondering,
if
there's
any
consideration
being
given
to
using
that
same
symbolism,
that
you're
using
on
the
posters,
because
it's
really
clear
and
sometimes
the
accessibility
features,
can
kind
of
get
buried
in
the
narrative
of
the
description
of
the
event?
K
And
this
would
be
a
very
clear
indicator
of
what's
available
to
residents
and
that
might
be
similar
to,
for
example
like
it
could
even
be
something
that
could
be
on
the
camp
page
as
well,
so
that
those
features
are
really
clear
and
stand
out.
So
just
a
thought
or
a
suggestion.
B
I'll
dive
in
for
the
moment,
while
other
people
are
able
to
think
I
have
one
on
a
similar
in
a
similar
vein
to
how
we,
how
we
know.
I
guess
I
would
say-
and
I
had
wondered,
because
I
know
some
years-
we've
struggled
with
finding
content
for
accessibility,
awareness
week
and
different
initiatives,
whether
we
could
actually,
what
comes
across
to
us.
As
the
committee
is
there's,
always
all
these
programs
and
going
through.
B
So
I
had
wondered
whether
initiatives
where,
if
you're
running
programs
between
now
and
next
year
or
this
year,
whether
we
could
get
permission
to
make
small
videos
to
to
actually
create
social
media,
pushes
that
those
things
could
also
be
used,
one
one
or
two
during
awareness
week,
so
I'll
throw
that
out
there,
and
I
know
that
you've
got
all
the
the
tools,
devices,
people
and
everything
to
make
that
happen.
But
I
just
think
for
the
public.
B
You
know
the
picture
of
the
video
would
be
worth
get
people
into
it
far
more
so
enough
about
that.
But
that's
one
of
my
ideas.
The
other
thing
I
had
wondered
about
is
is
that
I
come
from
an
artist
background
and
a
lot
of
my
friends
are
artists.
So
we're
talking
about
a
two-year
timeline
for
us
to
get
out
of
the
pandemic,
and
even
then
it
may
not
be
to
go
back
to
normal.
I'm
going
to
suggest
it's
probably.
B
What
has
happened
up
till
now
with
the
pandemic
has
occurred,
but
I
still
think
we're
going
to
see
a
year
or
so
where
aspects
that
fall
under
the
aoda,
like
mental
health
and
addictions
are
going
to
be
still
what
I
would
call
at
risk
for
being
isolated
for
for
feeling
overwhelmed,
etc,
and
I
had
thought
you
have
a
natural
in
a
lot
of
your
programming
where
you
could.
I
have
a
friend
who
teaches
aquafit.
B
So
I'll
use
that
as
an
example,
but
you
could
have
someone
who's
in
front
of
a
class
as
the
teacher.
If
they
gave
permission
you
could
you
could
monetize
it
in
that
you
could
have
the
link
all
set
up,
so
the
person
is
paying
a
portion
of
the
cost
if
they
go
to
the
class
live,
but
it
might
be
the
difference
between
at-risk
populations,
people
with
mental
health
or
seniors
or
young
children,
youth
whatever,
who
are
not
able
to
actually
get
out,
but
are
feeling
the
the
oppression
or
whatever.
B
The
word
is,
but
the
weight
of
what's
going
on,
and
I
think
we
still
probably
have
a
window
for
a
year
and
it
might
even
be
a
prototype
to
the
future.
So
that
was
the
other
thing.
When
I
was
hearing
the
whole
lengthy
list
of
these
programs
there,
there
are
other
ways
to
quote
unquote
advertiser
to
get
people
to
know
the
information
and
remote
might
be
another
way.
G
I
appreciate
that
yeah
we
through
you,
mr
chair,
just
have
have
facilitated
our
remembrance
day
service
for
this
year,
which,
because
of
the
the
gathering
limits
you
know
at
present,
won't
be
doing
that
in
the
same
regard
in
mcdonald
park,
because
you
know
we
were
concerned
about
a
large
number
of
people
showing
up
whether
we
provided
that
in
a
in
invite
only
or
an
open
to
the
public
format-
and
you
know
certainly
didn't
want
to
to
put
any
risk
out
to
the
community.
G
So
we
are
taking
that
ceremony
inside
to
memorial
hall
at
at
city
hall,
but
we
will
also
be
live
streaming
that
for
the
first
time
ever
so
certainly
like
you
said
you
know,
looking
at
those
virtual
opportunities
to
to
continue
to
engage
the
the
community
in
in
the
various
services
and
programs,
and
I
know
we
are
looking
at
that.
You
know
in
a
number
of
other
areas
and
and
know
that
you
know
recreation
programming
certainly
looks
and
feels
differently.
G
Now
you
know
we're
happy
to
see
people
back.
You
know
starting
to
reopen
our
facilities
and
see
people
back
into
those
facilities,
but
we
also
know
that
you
know,
for
the
time
being,
we
do
need
to
provide
more
passive
opportunities
and
drop-in
style
opportunities
for
for
people
similar
to
the
the
skating
activities
in
in
market
square
and
things
that
that
people
can
kind
of
do
at
at
their
leisure,
so
yeah.
Certainly,
I
appreciate
that
that
comment.
B
I
Just
to
add
about
the
live
streaming
for
remembrance
day
will
an
interpreter
be
included
with
that
as
well,
because
I've
seen
them,
but
I'm
just
wondering
for
having
a
live
there
for
seniors
who
are
staying
at
home
or
deaf
people
staying
at
home.
I
think
having
an
interpreter
would
be
awesome
if
you
could
do
like
a
picture.
Adventure
have
the
interpreter
in
the
picture-in-picture
the
entire
time,
while
you're
panning
or
doing
whatever
with
the
rest
of
the
ceremony.
G
Thank
you
through
you,
mr
chair.
Yes,
we
do
have
an
interpreter
for
that
that
particular
service
and
it
will
also
be
closed.
Captioned
as
well.
B
Okay,
great,
thank
you
any
other
questions
from
anyone
on
the
committee
and
glenn,
I'm
assuming
you'll
chime
in.
If
you
do
seeing
none.
Oh,
I
do
see
one
kate,
hello,
kate,.
L
Just
when
we're
talking
about
all
this
remote
and
virtual
programming,
I
know
that
the
library
has
recently
introduced,
like
lendable,
wi-fi
hotspots,
but
I'm
wondering
if
there's
any
plans
in
recreation
and
leisure
services
to
increase
access
to
internet.
If
you're
going
to
be
delivering
things
remotely.
G
Good
good
question
through
you,
mr
chair,
not
not
something
that
that
we've
approached
broached
the
subject
on.
Certainly
all
of
our
our
public
recreation
facilities,
you
know,
do
have
wi-fi
availability,
and
I
know
we've
worked
with
our
isnt
department
in
specific
areas
where
we
maybe
do
need
to
increase
the
the
service
speed,
and
you
know
that
did
take
place
this
summer.
G
You
know
with
with
the
marinas
when
we
saw
the
the
marina
clients
come
back
online,
but
certainly
a
good
point
that
I
can
review
with
our
management
team.
Thank
you.
B
Okay
and
seeing
no
other
comments
and
questions
I
I
would
just
say
that
even
more
than
other,
whatever
you
want
to
call
it,
but
subjects
or
departments
that
come
to
mac.
This
is
one
that
I've
noticed
over
the
last
six
years
has
made
tremendous
changes
or
whatever
you
want
to
call
it
but
meaningful
difference,
and
I
think
there
are
people
on
the
committee
that
have
been
involved
in
that,
where
what
we
were
hearing
when
we
went
through
all
these
programs
six
years
ago
is
a
very
different
conversation
for
what
we
heard
today.
B
So
congratulations
to
you
and
to
the
committee
members
who've
been
very
involved
with
that
with
the
other
city
staff
to
bring
that
forward.
M
I'm
here
everybody
good
to
see
you
hear
you,
so
I
have
the
municipal.
J
Feedback
statistics
for
you
this
month
and
the
statistics
come
to
us
every
quarter
from
our
our
colleagues
in
the
customer
experience
division
just
to
sort
of
recap.
In
q1
this
year
there
were
62
inquiries
in
q2
there
were
38
inquiries,
and
this
time
three
there
were
77
inquiries.
J
So
you
probably
will
recall
from
our
last
meeting
that
we
put
some
analysis
to
why
there
was
a
lower
number
of
inquiries
in
q2
and
in
large
part
we
thought
that
was
because
there
were
so
many
businesses
and
facilities
that
were
closed
because
of
of
cover
19..
J
J
We
were
into
the
summer
season
where
it
was
much
nicer,
weather
and
the
combination
of
those
two
things
and
the
fact
that
many
businesses
were
having
to
sort
of
make
changes
to
the
to
the
way
that
they
might
be
open
in
and
on
pandemic
time
limitations.
J
To
the
number
of
people
that
might
be
allowed
into
a
facility
or
a
restaurant
or
a
coffee
shop,
or
something
like
that
at
any
given
time
and
that
that
may
have
led
to
some
some
additional
concerns
and
then
compared
to
sort
of
q3
of
2019
so
same
period.
Last
year
the
calls
were
a
little
higher
in
q3
2019.
There
were
61
inquiries,
the
the
main
areas
where
the
the
inquiries
were.
J
You
know
where
we
typically
see
them:
transit,
roads
and
sidewalks
parking,
and
there
was
a
big
jump
in
parking
between
q2,
2020
and
q3
2020
again.
That
may
be
because
more
people
were
out
and
about
in
the
in
the
better
weather
during
the
months
of
april,
through
june
q3
many
areas
were
not
were
not
charging
for
parking.
Many
businesses
were
still
closed.
J
People
may
not
have
been
making
as
many
trips
out
of
their
out
of
their
house,
so
parking
in
general
may
not
have
been
as
much
as
of
an
issue
as
it
as
it
was
during
q3.
J
So
that's
the
update
that
I
have
in
terms
of
the
the
accessibility
statistics
with
the
chairs
indulgence.
I'd
be
happy
to
give
an
update
on
the
work
plan
as
well.
At
this
time,.
B
Should
that
be
great,
I
just
had
one
comment
about
those
statistics.
Absolutely
do
you
ever
measure
new
initiatives
like,
in
other
words,
if
you
add
a
new
variable
where
you
try
something
like
the
love,
kingston
initiative
or
you're,
restricting
bus
travel
in
certain
ways
like
the
way
that
they
have
roped
off
buses
and
things
it
could
be
that
you're
just
getting
higher
reportage,
because
you're
doing
something
new
or
different,
and
so
you're
not
really
comparing
same
as
same
as
because
you've
got
this
whole
other
set
of
programs.
J
Fair
enough-
and
I
wonder
that
I
wonder
the
same
thing,
because
there
were
many
changes
that
were
made
as
a
result
of
the
love
kingston.
Some
of
them
were
rolled
out
and
then
they
were
scaled
back
and
and
that
sort
of
period
where
love
kingston
was
sort
of
getting
up
and
running
did
span
between
q2
and
q3.
So
it's
likely
that
we're
seeing
some
effect
of
that
in
in
the
metrics
from
both
quarters.
J
But
to
answer
your
question:
no,
we
don't
have
a
sort
of
a
specific
measurement
for
a
specific
new
initiative
like
that,
not
necessarily
to
say
something
we
can't
look
into.
But
at
this
point
it's
not
something
that
I
have
in
in
the
metrics
that
I
receive.
J
So
if
I
can
just
sort
of
continue
on
with
the
with
you
for
a
few
minutes
in
terms
of
the
2020
work
plan,
I
wanted
to
give
you
a
little
bit
of
an
update.
We
did
have
disabilities
mentoring
day
at
the
end
of
october
2020.
J
we
had
three
city
of
kingston
employees
serve
as
mentors
for
the
day.
One
of
our
mentors
came
into
city
hall
in
person,
the
other
two
mentors
were
hosted
virtually,
so
that
was
a
new
thing
that
that
dolphin
introduced
this
year
was
the
ability
to
to
do
the
the
mentorships
in
a
virtual
way.
We
did
receive
comment,
though,
that
you
know
something
that
they
would
like
to
be
able
to
continue
what
this
this
came
from.
J
Some
of
the
the
mentees
that
you
know
was
great
that
we
were
able
to
sort
of
facilitate
that
because
we're
in
a
bit
of
a
pandemic
situation
right
now,
but
it's
something
that
would
not
be
not.
You
know
there
were
people
last
year
who
would
have,
I
think,
enjoyed
a
virtual
mentorship
so,
depending
on
the
on
the
nature
of
of
the
job
that's
easier
to
to
facilitate,
but
it
was.
It
was
interesting
to
see
that
we
were
able
to
facilitate
two
two
virtual
spots
this
year,
so
that
was
great.
J
We're
making
good
pro
progress
with
the
celebrating
accessibility
awards.
The
selection
team
will
be
meeting
at
the
conclusion
of
this
meeting
to
to
review
the
nominations
and
make
recommendations
and
plans
are
well
underway
for
a
virtual
ceremony
for
december
3rd
and
in
terms
of
the
the
items
remaining
on
our
work
plan,
we
will
have
just
everything
that
we
have
on
the
work
plan.
I'll
put
two
and
including
november,
is
complete.
We
just
have
the
celebrating
accessibility
awards
which
will
be
completed
in
december,
so
it's
been.
J
It's
been
a
very
good
very
good
year,
we've
we've
been
managed,
we've
managed
to
complete
everything
that
that
we
identified
at
the
outset
and
I'm
happy
to
answer
any
questions
you
have
for
me.
J
Okay,
so,
mr
chair,
if
I
could
just
add
one
comment
to
those
of
you
that
are
continuing
on
after
this
this
meeting
with
the
selection
team,
just
when,
when
the
mac
committee
comes
to
an
adjournment,
please
just
don't
go
anywhere
and
hold
on
a
few
seconds
and
then
we'll
get
started
with
the
next
part
of
our
our
meeting.
I
J
I
I
was
just
going
to
say
once
the
the
municipal
accessibility
advisory
committee
meeting
adjourns
it'll
take
us
about
five
years
to
go
to
the
next
meeting.
Is
that
what
you
were
asking
chloe.
M
F
B
A
B
A
Yes,
mr
chair,
it
looks
like
we
have
received
everyone.
Miss
sherry,
sherry's
got
there.
She
is
perfect,
it
looks
like
we
have
everyone.
I
just
want
to
check
in
with
glenn
to
see.
If
he's
there.
Thank.
B
Great,
thank
you.
Everyone.
Moving
on
in
the
agenda,
we
moved
to
item
7d
in
the
business
section,
which
is
the
working
group
report
for
the
built
environment,
working
group,
dave
williams,.
C
Well,
thank
you.
I
that
was
good
timing
and
my
dog
wants
to
thank
the
committee
as
well,
because
she's
been
talking
to
me
for
about
15
or
20
minutes,
so
we
were
outside
so
there
we
go
enough
of
that,
and
so
we've
been
meeting
the
committee.
The
working
group
continues
to
meet
as
as
normal
through
the
video
conferencing,
and
the
interesting
thing
is
been
recently
talking
about
at
this
meeting
about
how
busy
the
committee
is
with
site
plans
and
the
last
part
of
this
particular
quarter
hasn't
really
been
all
that
busy.
C
But
it's
been
steady
so
well
that
way
for
a
bit
of
the
break
but
curious
about
the
ebb
and
flow
of
the
site
planning.
That's
being
done,
I
get
everybody's
honor
on
the
go
and
we
continue
to
orient
members
to
the
dash
platform
of
the
of
the
city
as
well.
We
did
that
again.
C
We
had
a
briefing
last
month
from
the
building
department
discussing
the
the
competing
demands
between
the
different
legislations
and
standards
that
we
have.
That
was
interesting,
and
then
we
could
apply
those
to
the
projects
that
were
currently
involved
with
across
the
city
across
departments.
C
So
it
was
very
helpful
getting
the
slideshow
that
we
got
from
them
detailing
the
the
the
differences
on
either
side.
C
We
continue
with
the
ongoing
updates
with
with
different
projects,
mostly
by
email,
somebody
phone-
and
I
don't
know
just
amazing
example.
I
got
an
update
yesterday
about
the
the
art
installations
that
are
being
done
across
the
city.
C
I've
been
through
watching
from
a
distance,
but
I
received
a
list
of
17
and
I
was
unaware
there
wasn't
many,
so
I
won't
be
going
to
each
one
to
look
at
them,
but
I'll
try
to
get
to
as
many
as
I
can.
C
C
So
we're
we're
dividing
our
time
between
the
different
projects.
Some
have
safe
plans,
some
don't,
and
so,
with
the
change
over
with
this
committee
for
coming,
I
anticipate
a
bit
of
leverage
on
the
working
group.
C
I'm
not
sure
what
that
will
look
like,
but
certainly
we're
open
to
conversations
from
this
committee
and
members
coming
over
to
the
working
group
to
join
us
and
you're
welcome
to
pick
up
on
whatever
particular
part
of
the
projects
and
plans
that
we
review
that
are
of
interest
to
you,
and
I
think
we
just
spend
a
lot
of
our
time
during
the
meeting
going
back
and
forth
about
the
different
things
that
we're
finding
in
the
projects.
C
So
it's
a
good
conversation
and
happy
to
take
any
new
people
there
and
comments
questions
now.
I
think
that
was
all
over.
The
next
meeting
is
two
weeks
from
today,
thursday
morning.
The.
C
19.,
so
that's
it
for
me
great.
Thank
you.
B
B
Okay-
and
that
is
carried-
oh
sorry,
glenn,
let
me
check
with
you
yep,
I'm
in
favor
as
well
thanks,
so
that
is
carried
so
moving
on
to
item
e
on
our
agenda
under
business
70.
I
guess
it
would
be
which
is
appointment
to
project
teams.
B
A
Mr
chair,
I
think
that
we
can
just
let
the
committee
choose
which
ones
they
would
like
to
to
participate
in.
I
would
like
to
provide
an
update,
however,
to
the
committee
that
the
project
number
four
on
the
list:
napier
street
parquet,
mr
falwell
mentioned
in
his
in
his
presentation
that
it
is
complete.
We
do
not
require
anyone
for
project
teams
for
that
project.
B
Okay,
and
can
I
also
just
confirm
that
once
we
get
the
appointees
do
we
are
we
required
to
do
a
motion
to
accept
those
people
as
appointed
to
those
projects.
B
You,
okay,
so
maybe
we'll
just
go
through
each
person,
as
they
indicate
any
of
the
projects,
with
the
exception
of
number
four
that
they
would
be
interested.
K
B
Of
us
are
leaving
the
committee
at
the
end
of
the
year,
so
we
would
not
be
putting
our
names
forward
for
any
of
these.
H
B
A
That
is
correct.
Mr
chair
lia
is
already
part
of
hemlock
and
they're.
Looking
for
one
more
representative.
B
A
Not
at
this
time,
I
believe
you
were
the
only
individual
on
that
project
team.
I
just.
I
B
A
B
Cool,
okay,
so
really
the
ones
that
we
need.
A
representative
on,
then,
is
just
the
mr.
B
Sure
for
sure
I
see
susan
center
of
screen
you're,
I'm
not
unmuted
susan.
E
J
Mr
chair,
it's
it's
janet
for
some
reason.
When
I'm
trying
to
turn
on
my
camera,
it's
giving
me
a
message
saying
that
I
can't
and
I'm
also
not
able
to
virtually
raise
my
hand.
So
if,
with
your
permission,
you're
more
than
welcome
to
apply
if
you
are
not
at
your
six
years,
because
there's
a
good
likelihood
that
you
will
be
reappointed
to
the
committee,
particularly
if,
like
I
say
a
if
you
haven't
reached
your
six
years
and
b.
J
If
you
have
indicated
that
mac
is
your
first
choice
of
committee,
then
there's
a
really
high
likelihood
that
that
you
will
be
reappointed.
Because
nominations
committee
always
does
like
to
give
consideration
to
incumbents
for
ensuring
that
there
is
a
level
of
continuity
from
one
year
to
the
next,
so
that
we
don't
see
kind
of
a
like
a
wholesale
turnover
in
committee.
With
with
no
all
right.
E
J
Yeah
no
worries
so
just,
and
I
can
also
ask
offer
a
little
bit
more
clarification,
so
the
close
of
nomin
applications
is
november
6.
So
that's
tomorrow
we
have
a
nominations
meeting
later
in
november,
where
the
nominations
committee
will
make
recommendations
and
then
council
will
approve
those
appointments
at
their
first
meeting
in
december.
So
that's
december
1st,
so
you
should
be
hearing
shortly
after
that
confirmation
of
your
appointment
all.
K
B
F
I
have
a
question
for
knowing
that,
so
if
we
are
trying
like
400.
C
J
Through
you,
mr
chair,
no
you're
welcome
to
continue
your
work,
even
though
you've
reapplied,
your
appointment,
continues
until
november
30th
of
2020
and
council
will
be
making
appointments
on
december
1st.
So
there's
a
and
your
appointment
continues
until
you're
replaced.
So
there's
no
reason
that
you
have
to
stop
participating
you're,
welcome
to
continue
on
with
all
your
project
teams
and
all
the
committee
work
that
you're
doing.
The
only
time
that
would
stop
is
is,
if
you
were
not
reappointed
for
for
another
term,
for
whatever
reason.
F
B
Is
it
true
janet
just
to
clarify
that
a
bit?
Is
it
true
that
could
literally
take
into
early
january
depending
upon
when
the
decisions
made
or
is
it
from.
J
Council
so
council,
mr
chair
council,
will
be
considering
the
recommendations
that
nominations
committee
makes
on
december
1st.
So
you
know
hypothetically
they
they
could
defer
a
decision.
I
don't
think
that's
likely
that
they
will
do
that,
but
you
never
say
never,
but
there
there
is
a
provision
in
the
committee
bylaw
that
says
that
members
are
appointed
until
until
you
know
a
specific
time
or
until
they
are
replaced.
J
So
that
does
give
us
a
little
bit
of
leeway
if,
for
some
reason,
say
that
first
council
meeting
in
december
wasn't
until
the
6th,
but
somebody
had
a
term
of
appointment
that
was
ending
november
30th.
That
would
allow
them
to
continue
to
work
with
the
committee
until
their
next
term
of
appointment
was
confirmed
by
council.
B
Okay,
great,
thank
you
very.
J
B
One
other
thing
I
would
offer
is
that
the
comprehensive
zoning
bylaw
review,
which
is
the
second
last
project
and
the
north
kingstown
project
team,
are
both
projects.
In
my
understanding,
they
may
have
been
sort
of
stalled
a
bit
because
of
what
was
going
on
in
planning
departments,
so
we
have
not
engaged
either
those
in
quite
some
time,
so
it
may
be
that
we
don't
have
to
have
someone
appointed
to
it
today,
because
it's
unlikely
there's
going
to
be
progression
of
that
work
between
now
and
when
the
new
appointees
come
on
to
the
committee.
J
Yeah,
I
I
don't
think
there's
going
to
be
a
lot
happening
with
that
before
the
start
of
next
year.
I
think
there
is
a
report
coming
to
council
on
the
zoning
bylaw
review
to
the
first
meeting
in
in
december,
so
it
may
not
be
a
lot
of
work,
but
they
may
be.
They
may
be
starting
to
to
ramp
things
up
towards
the
end
of
this
year
early
to
next
year.
J
So
if
there's
somebody
who's
interested
we're
more
than
happy
to
to
have
you
participate,
but
I
don't
think
it's
the
end
of
the
world.
If
we
don't
get
somebody
until
our
first
meeting
in
in
2021.
B
B
So
I
think
that
would
be
a
great
one
to
be
on
and
david
williams,
I
saw
you
with
your
hand
up.
C
Yeah,
I'm
happy
to
sit
with
my
name
with
the
zoning
buffalo
review.
C
There's
two
there,
so
there's
still
room
for
someone
else
to
join
if
they
want-
and
there
was
another
one
with
hemlock
gallons
too
right
another
request.
I
can
do
that.
B
So
david
for
both
hemlock
downs
park
and
for
the
comprehensive
zoning
bylaw,
that's
great!
Thank
you,
david,
the
the
zoning
bylaw.
Just
to
give
you
a
quick
background
because
I
might
not
be
able
to
later
bob
baird
looked
at
it
and
really
felt
that
only
the
parking
sections
were
of
huge
direct
relation
to
our
work.
However,
I
kind
of
widened
it
a
bit
and
made
it
a
little
more
theoretical
that
we
might
also
be
trying
to
push
for
other
changes
like
at
grade
entrances
to
buildings
and
that
type
of
stuff.
B
B
E
B
B
Okay,
so
adding
susan
to
richardson
beach
and,
to
my
mind
other
than
the
comprehensive,
comprehensive
zoning
bylaw.
That's
the
only
other
one.
That's
looking
for
another
representative.
B
Fantastic,
thank
you
all.
So
if
I
could
get
a
mover
and
a
seconder
for
all
of
these
adding
of
names,
I
see
caitlyn
and
I
see
sherry
and
andrew
now
everybody
saw
all
those
in
favor.
B
B
J
So
through
you,
mr
chair,
and
to
you,
mr
chair,
I
I'm
happy
to
to
take
any
feedback
from
members
of
the
committee.
I
do
have
a
few
things
that
I
have
made
notes
on
over
the
year.
I
don't
have
that
list
in
front
of
me.
I
anticipate
that
that
we
will
be
reaching
out
to
the
committee
once
we
know
who
the
committee
is,
after
after
council
makes
its
decisions
in
december.
J
B
Okay,
so
moving
on
from
that,
then
we
have
no
motions
that
I'm
aware
of
no
notices
of
motion.
Is
there
any
other
business
for.
