Description
Nominations Advisory Committee meeting from March 25, 2021. For full agenda details visit https://bit.ly/3fi8y3g
B
Is
yours,
perfect,
okay,
thanks
all
right,
so
janet
sorry
before
we
get
started
again,
I
guess
I'm,
I'm
just
curious.
Did
we
recess
last
time
or
did
we
go
through
the
whole
agenda
again
with
the
items
on
it?
We
adjourned.
B
Starting
a
new
meeting,
okay,
so
welcome
everybody.
Here
we
are
again
with
our
nominations:
advisory
committee,
working
through
the
remainder
of
our
agenda,
which
includes
just
one
committee
that
we'll
be
discussing
this
evening,
and
it
is
the
equity,
diversity
and
inclusion
advisory
committee,
so
I'll
call
the
meeting
to
order,
and
that
is
really
what
is
remaining
on
the
agenda.
So
I'll
ask
now
for
a
motion
to
approve
the
agenda
moved
by
counselor
kylie
seconded
by
counselor
neo.
Thank
you
very
much.
B
All
those
in
favor
agenda
opposed
thank
you,
okay
and
then
minutes
I
believe,
did
we
have
we
circulated
minutes
on
for
this?
No,
we
don't
have
minutes
to
confirm.
Thanks
get
them
done
that
quickly.
No,
no,
any
disclosure
of
potential
career
interest,
okay
and
seeing
none
any
delegations,
I'm
sure.
No.
I
was
right,
my
clerk,
okay,
so
any
brief
things
I
believe,
no
all
right!
So
we'll
move
on
to
our
business
then-
and
as
I
mentioned,
this
is
the
in
your
binders.
B
The
committee
will
include
five
community
members
who
are
a
part
of
a
population
that
faces
systemic
barriers
to
employment,
as
noted
in
the
workforce
inclusion
charter,
including,
but
not
limited
to
indigenous
communities,
including
first
nations
metis
and
inuit
newcomers,
recent
immigrants
and
refugees,
racialized
community
members,
persons
with
with
disabilities,
linguistic
minorities,
women,
youth
and
people
from
lgbtqs
plus
communities
and
then
also
another
category.
B
Within
this
group
of
up
to
four
community
members
who
represent
organizations
or
groups,
we
did
have
some
discussion
in
the
last
meeting
about
the
word
represent
and
really
what
we
are
looking
for,
just
to
be
clear
this
evening
is
that
there
are.
B
This
is
essentially
two
groups
of
community
members,
and
they,
the
group
that
is
affiliated
with
organizations,
has
some
affiliation
with
an
organization
who
works
with
one
of
in
in
one
of
the
following
sectors:
multicultural
services,
ethnocultural
groups,
youth
justice
and
legal
services,
newcomers,
sorry,
newcomer
settlement
agencies,
gender-based
groups,
lgbtqs,
sorry,
lgbtq2s,
plus
groups,
faith-based
organizations,
indigenous
community
groups,
persons
with
disabilities
groups
and
agencies
or
social
justice
groups.
B
So
the
the
total
number
of
applicants
that
we
received
was
71.
B
The
there
is
significant
overlap
between
these
two
categories,
so
we
are
going
to
go
through
this
evening
and
discuss
focus
in
on
the
the
organization
affiliation
group,
first
of
all,
just
because
some
some
have
indicated
that
in
their
application,
so
we'll
select
those
members
first,
those
four
members.
This
is
what
we
the
sort
of
agreement
we
came
to
at
the
last
meeting
anyway.
B
But
I'll
look
to
the
committee
in
a
moment
on
that
and
then
following
that
that
first
round
of
selecting
those
four
members,
then
we
will
go
back
to
the
sort
of
general
concept
of
community
member.
For
the
remainder
of
the
nine.
B
There
was
one
applicant
who
has
been
flagged
as
someone
who
is
a
city
of
kingston
employee,
janet.
If
you
want
to
just
give
that
name
for
the
for
the
group.
C
Thank
you,
madam
chairman.
Through
you
candidate
by
the
name
of
logan
knight,
is
a
city.
Employee
city
employees
are
not
eligible
to
serve
on
city
to
be
appointed
to
city
committee,
so
my
apologies
for
not
noticing
that
and
for
erroneously,
including
it
in
the
app
in
the
in
your
application
package.
Okay,.
D
Actually,
what
number
is
that?
Thirty,
thirty,
okay,
all
right.
B
Okay,
so
before
we
go
into
any
further,
I'm
just
gonna
finish
up
talking
about
this,
the
process
part
for
the
evening
and
then
I'll
go
to
the
committee
with
any
questions
or
comments.
So
last
time
around
and
in
previous
meetings,
we
have
gone
through
the
lists
name
by
name
since
we're
going
to
be
doing
this
twice
this
evening
with
pretty
much
the
same
group
of
candidates
as
we're
gonna
go
through
one
section
and
the
the
organization
affiliation
first
and
followed
by
community.
B
I
was
going
to
propose,
but
it
is
entirely
up
to
the
committee
that
we,
when
we
have
our
discussion,
that
we
have
sort
of
essentially
compiled
a
short
list
where
we
each
give
names,
and
then
we
will
stick
to
those
names
for
the
first
round.
If
anyone
has
any
problem
with
that,
that's
totally
fine,
we
can
go
through
name
by
name.
B
We
certainly
don't
want
to
miss
anyone,
and-
and
we
do
we're
very,
very
appreciative
for
all
the
incredible
candidates
that
we've
received
applica
applications
from
and
it
would
be
nice
to
be
able
to
highlight
everyone
this
evening.
I
think
my
overall
message
is
that
we're
only
we're
choosing
nine
out
of
seven
incredible
candidates,
and
I
just
really
really
hope
that
those
who
are
not
selected
this
evening
will
continue
to
put
their
names
forward
in
the
future
for
any
committee
that
that
is
of
interest.
B
E
E
F
Just
curious,
if
elizabeth
could
mention
how
many
non-committee
members
or
non-staff
are
on
board
so
that
we
know,
because
they'll
have
an
opportunity
to
speak
after
we
go
through
the
first
round.
C
Go
ahead,
miss
james,
that's
certainly
true
through
you,
madam
chair
to
the
counselor.
A
We
don't
have
any
staff
here
outside
of
myself.
C
Janet
james
deputy
city
clerk
and
elizabeth
fawcett,
who
committee
clerk
who
is
serving
as
our
meetings
tonight,
we
have
our
our
ist
and
our
closed
captioning
supporters,
of
course,
and
then
we
have
one
member
of
the
public
in
attendance
at
this
time.
Yeah,
and
I
can
let
you
know
if
that
changes
at
any
time
that
you
wish
manager.
D
Okay-
okay,
great
I'm
sure
it
took,
I
just
wanted
to
mention-
I'm
not
sure
that
I
had
to
talk
with
the
clerk
and
with
the
chair,
but
very
briefly,
I
I
made
up
a
list.
I
just
I
emailed
to
you
just
before
the
meeting
which
lists
all
the
people
that
I
could
see
but
who
currently
belong
to
an
organization
or
group
they're
on
the
board
or
they're
a
member,
and
if
that's
of
help,
then
we
can
look
at
it
because
it's
certainly
a
way
to
double
check,
but
I'm
not
claiming
it's
perfect
either.
D
B
Okay,
so
then,
now
back
to
the
just
to
so
back
to
the
question
of
the
are
people
comfortable
beginning
with
a
short
list,
I'm
seeing
nods
council
counselor
chappelle
is
that,
okay
with
you
go
ahead.
B
We'll
start
we're
gonna
do
one
at
a
time,
so
we'll
start
with
the
first
one
and
then
we'll
go
to
the
next
one.
So
you'll
have
I
mean
you'll,
probably
have
a
like
a
bigger
working
short
list,
but
we'll
begin
with
the
organizational
short
list
and
move
into
the
discussion
and
vote
from
there.
B
B
Okay,
so
we'll
move
forward
then,
and
I'll
just
open
it
up
now
to
just
to
the
four
community
members
who
who
are
affiliated
with
an
organization
or
group
that
involves
the
sectors
that
I
listed
earlier,
and
so
if
anyone
would
like
to
discuss
or
put
forward
names
at
this
time,
please
go
ahead
I'll.
Take
your
go
ahead.
Counselor
sanik.
H
Thank
you,
madam
chair
I'll,
put
four
some
names
which
happen
to
three
of
them
coincide.
Actually,
all
four
of
them
coincide
with
what
councilor
hutchinson
forwarded
at
six
o'clock
as
his
starting
point.
So
how
holt
I
had
him.
H
B
G
B
G
B
H
A
lot
of
names
on
here
raymond
is
number
11..
I
D
H
61,
yes,
one
was
one
was
a
mohamed
sani,
and
so
I'm
just
missing
hal
holt.
I
think
that
was
number.
B
Okay,
thank
you
and
who
would
like
to
go
next?
Was
it
counselor
neil
go
ahead.
F
F
So
I
thought
that
was
a
good
one.
Hal
holt
is
a
long
time
resident
very
active
in
the
seniors
community,
but
he
has
a
jamaican
family
and
it
has
been
a
co-chair
in
the
past.
I
believe
of
the
african
caribbean
association,
shan
jamanda
number
25,
I'm
sorry
how
holt
was
number
23.
F
Shan
is
number
25
he's
a
past
president
of
the
canadian
pakistani
organization.
He
has
an
mba
he's
one
of
the
co-founders.
This
has
endeared
him
to
me
of
daft
brewing,
which
is
in
williamsville.
F
So
so
I
I
think,
he'd
be
an
excellent
person
and
the
other
person
that
I
had
highlighted
was
number
33
leticia
lange
who
also
has
a
connection
with
the
lgbtq
community
and
that's
number
33..
B
Yeah
yeah
I
mean
I
didn't
have
any.
I
didn't
have
any
thing
in
mind,
more
more
to
consolidate
from
70.
sure
thing.
F
Number
31
and
I
apologize
for
my
mispronouncing
creation
of
names
in
advance,
but
here
cow
ko
you
can.
I
apologize.
F
She's
got
a
very
active
number
of
associations,
but
she's
been
very
active
with
isca,
which
is
is
an
excellent
and
active
group
here
in
in
kingston.
So
those
were
the
five
that
I
have
selected.
E
Thank
you,
madam
chair.
Through
you,
I've
had
a
number
of
the
names
I
had
selected
listed
already,
but
I
think
I
had
about
eight
that
were
associated
with
affiliation,
so
I'll
just
offer
the
four
that
haven't
been
said
yet
at
least
on
my
list,
first
being
number
26
or
who
is
now
doing
work
with
the
community
foundation.
So
that
could
go
under
the
social
justice
category
then
number
36,
lisa
vamol
mcdonald,
who
does
work
with
community
living
and
that
could
go
under.
E
I
get
the
exact
language
that
we
have
in
the
document
here.
Persons
with
disabilities
groups
or
agencies
then
number
43,
mimi
morel,
who
works
for
the
resettlement
office
at
the
anglican
anglican
diocese,
so
that
I
could
go
under
faith-based
organizations
and
then
my
fourth
is
number
49
with
oliver
who
works
for
youth
and
family
services
and
that
can
go
under
youth
agencies.
B
Thank
you
any
other
counselors
wish
to
add
to
the
list.
Counselor
hutchinson.
D
Okay,
fine.
Can
I
just
ask
counselor
carly
to
repeat
the
first
and
last
names
that
he
put
up.
E
Please,
for
some
last
names
sure
so
not.
E
D
Oh
yeah,
okay,
thank
you.
Okay,
now
my
suggestions
and
I
certainly
note
there
are
some
good
ones
that
have
already
been
mentioned.
The
my
still
I
kept
myself
to
four
and
one
one
was
felix
at
cool
who
is
connected
to
the
african,
caribbean,
collective.
D
Number
one
sorry
and
well
yes,
and
I
also
thought
that,
in
terms
of
the
organizations
in
terms
of
qualifications
from
that
subgroup,
we
should
be
looking
at
like
the
skills
that
people
bring
to
this,
because
the
if
you
read
the
description,
what
this
committee
is
going
to
do
it's
a
formidable
amount
of
work
and
I
think
they're
meaning
twice
a
month.
I
D
At
not
just
representation,
but
who
has
done
this
work
before
right,
so
my
first
to
then,
I
also
had
oliver
hill
number
22
because
he's
one
his
indigenous
connection
in
youth
and
lgbtq
to
this
as
well.
That
seemed
to
cover
a
lot
of
ground.
D
The
let's
see-
and
I
I
also
have
mohammed
sani
because
he's
a
coordinator
at
kip-
it's
kchc.
He
must
he
would
appear
in
his
quadrilingual.
So
he
seems
to
have
a
lot
of
experience
and
I'm.
F
F
D
yeah,
so
in
number
68,
giselle
valorazo,
who
works
at
queens.
That
seems
like
a
good
idea,
but
she.
D
B
G
Okay,
sorry,
I
didn't
mean
to
keep
looking
through
my
notes
so
they're
not
in
any
particular
order.
I
end
up
working
around,
but
I
have
number
30
32
sharon
christiano,
with
the
indo-canadian
association.
I've
been
in
contact
with
them
for
a
number
of
years
now
and
always
been
up
to
date,
they're
very
engaged
in
the
community.
G
And
the
other
person
that
I
think
was
already
previously
mentioned-
I'm
sure
it
was-
was
zerman
khan
number
26
without
his
work.
B
B
I'm
trying
to
check
my
notes
here,
because
I
know
one
of
the
names
sunita
gupta,
who
some
of
you
may
know
as
someone
involved
in
the
past,
with
kip
and
or
it's
certainly
very
involved
in
some
a
lot
of
the
multicultural
activities
in
kingston
and
resettlement
activity
and
progress
to
date
on
the
workplace,
inclusion
charter
that
the
city
has
worked
on,
so
she
has
got
great
institutional
and
community
based
knowledge,
though
I
note
that
in
her
application,
the
the
references
to
that
are
are
perhaps
not
as
perhaps
not
as
current
as
some
of
the
others
and
the
other
one,
mostly
that
I
wanted
to
draw
attention
to
just
because
well
for
a
number
of
reasons,
but
I
thought
the
fact
that
oh,
no
that's
a
community
member,
I'm
sorry.
B
And
that's
it
everyone
every
other
name
has
been
brought
forward.
Do
we
have
a
complete
list.
B
Sunita,
but
I
mean
I
think,
I'm
I'm
really
considering
her
for
community
as
well,
because,
okay,
that
the
I
don't
know
I
have
to
dig
through
to
see
if
the
application
mentions
to
to
that
level.
The
experience
that
I
was
looking
at
so
I
will
do
that
now,
but
I'm
just
going
to
look
at
miss
james
first
of
all
to
see
if
she
has
the
completed
short
list
for
us.
A
I
do
madam
chair,
I
believe
I
can
read
it
out
if
you
would
like,
so
that
anybody
can.
So
if
I've
missed
a
name
that
somebody's
identified,
we
can
flag
that.
G
Seems
like
everyone
likes
to
keep
me
quiet
anyways.
Can
we
just
restart
with
with
the
numbers
as
well,
because
I
really
there's
just
such
a
volume
of
great
people.
I
don't
want
to
miss.
A
61
muhammad
sani
64,
marion
springer
and
68
gisele
valerazo.
B
Okay,
so
we
will
does
anyone
before
we
move
into
to
voting
and
we'll
have
just
remember:
you'll
have
four
votes
in
this
in
this
process,
so
four
votes
total
and
when
we
go
through
and
vote,
anyone
who
has
four
or
or
by
far
the
highest
number
will
be
selected
in
the
first
round,
and
anyone
with
zero
zero
will
fall
off
in
the
first
round
and
before
we
get
started
with
voting.
Does
anyone
have
anything
else,
they'd
like
to
add
answer,
carly.
E
B
A
F
D
Yes,
names
on
here
that
were
named
that
I
did
not
see
were
affiliated
with
organizations,
so
there
might
be
just
a
difference
of
opinion
but
sure.
Presumably
we
would
have
to
explain
why
they
would
be
on
this
category.
B
D
Are
we
counting
like
I
took
these
groups
and
organizations
be
ones
that
are
involved
with
identifiable
groups
that
are
indicated
on
the
composition
that
we
were
given,
but
that
I
didn't
see
what
what
group
she
would
belong
to
except
the
police
so.
F
Thank
you
and
I
did
bring
her
forward
and,
yes,
you're
absolutely
right.
She
has
a
connection
with
the
police.
She
also
self-identifies
and
in
her
history,
speaks
about
her
connection
with
lgbtq
community.
So
I
didn't
see
it
as
always
requiring,
and
I
believe
I've
got
that
right.
I
don't
see
it
as
always
requiring
a
kind
of
formal
group
we
had
that
discussion
before,
but
if,
if
they
are
affiliating
themselves
with
a
particular
group,
so
for
instance,
first
nations
applicants
don't
have
to
actually
say
I
belong
to
this
first
nations
group.
F
B
There's
a
distinction
there
that
you're
getting
at,
which
bears
some
clarification
so
in
this
round.
Yes,
there's
definitely
a
section
on
the
application,
that's
relevant,
where
individuals
speak
about
their
rationale
and
their
suitability
for
the
the
committee,
and
in
that
section.
F
D
D
B
Oh
okay,
sorry
about
that.
I
don't
know
what
happened
if
anyone
else
does
okay,
so
yes,
there
are,
there
is
a
distinction.
People
should
bear
in
mind.
Members
of
the
community
should
bear
in
mind
that
when
people
were
applying
they
they
had
the
information
that
we
have
before
us
about
what
the
composition
of
the
committee
would
be,
and
so
some
people
spoke
about
volunteer
experience
or
work
experience
with
an
organization.
Some
did
not
identifying,
as
a
member
of
one
of
the
groups
is
an
important
consideration
for
sure.
B
As
you
make
your
decision
as
you
make
your
decision.
If
people
spoke
to
that
in
their
application-
and
they
spoke
experience
and
they
spoke
about
their
interest
in
supporting
marginalized
groups,
etc,
that
we're
looking
at
qualifications
to
do
the
work
of
increasing
equity
and
diversity
in
the
city
of
kingston,
so
anything
in
the
application
that
speaks
to
that
is
relevant.
B
Broadly
speaking,
for
the
nine
members
of
this
group
now
members
of
the
committee,
but
to
counselor
hutchinson's
point
about
organization
affiliation
that
we
discussed
last
week,
the
there
one
can
still
say
that
they
have
worked
in
with
the
lgbtq
community
without
necessarily
identifying
an
organization,
but
simply
for
this
round,
simply
saying
being
you
know,
being
a
part
of
that
of
that
group
is
not
exactly
the
entirety
of
what
we're
looking
for
we're
looking
for
people
who
have
kind
of
broader
experience
and
a
range
of
connections
in
a
community.
B
So
both
things
that
you
said
are
sort
of
true,
but
there
will
be
some
who
are
more
or
less
suitable
to
this
category
based
on
organizational
affiliation.
So
again
back
to
counselor
hutchinson's
point.
I
don't
think
it's
worth.
B
I
don't
think
it's
necessary
for
us
to
eliminate
anyone
from
the
short
list
based
on
not
having
a
direct
statement
of
attachment
to
an
organization
in
their
application,
but
I
think
it
is
something
for
us
to
consider
that
those
who
have
sort
of
spelled
out
their
involvement
and
their
their
capacity
to
do
work
in
that
area
would
be
considered
well
qualified.
For
this
category
and
anyone
doesn't
get
selected
again
goes
back
in
for
the
next
round,
so
counselor
kylie
go
ahead.
E
Thank
you
for
that,
madam
chair.
It's
very
helpful.
I'm
wondering
also
if
you
could
provide
a
bit
of
a
perspective
for
committee's
benefit
on
what
a
person's
vocation
has
to
this.
For
example,
the
applicant
in
question.
I
immediately
lumped
into
services
due
to
their
work
as
a
police
officer,
I'm
wondering
if
that
was
perhaps
a
kind
of
misstep
on
on
my
behalf,
or
my
thinking
was
a
bit
off.
Do
you
have
a
perspective
on
that
as.
B
And
then
counselor
hutchinson
did
you
want
to
bring
forward
any
other
names
that
that
didn't
fit
the
criteria,
as
you
saw.
D
B
F
I
he
self-identifies,
I
believe,
in
his
background,
as
having
been
a
past
president
of
the
pakista
canadian
pakistani
association,
as
felix
number,
one
has
done
as
well,
so
I,
but
he
would
be
an
excellent
addition
to
the
committee,
whether
he's
part
of
the
community
group
or
part
of
the
smaller
association
or
group
affiliated
group.
F
D
Okay,
so
the
okay,
so
the
reason
I
didn't
have
it-
and
these
are
things
we
need
to
clear
up
for
the
future.
Okay-
is
that
it
was
made
to
be
agreed
to
that
there
would
be
people
who
were
current
people
who
are
currently
working
at
an
organizational
group
or
were
members
current
members
so-
and
I
remember
counselor
sanik,
making
that
point
quite
forcefully,
so
that
we
could
clearly
see
who
we
were
appointing
like
I'm
nothing
against
any
of
these
applicants,
particularly
16.
D
I
had
flagged
myself,
but
just
not
for
this
sub
the
group
that
is
organization
or
groups
right.
So
so
I
just
think
it's
difficult
to
tell
when
you
should
apply
this
criteria,
but
I
was
just
going
by
what
we
apparently
agreed
to
last
time.
I
B
Okay
thanks
and
then
just
to
make
sure
we
have
a
complete
list,
then
I
did
check
on
number
19,
miss
anita
gupta,
and
there
is
reference
in
the
application
to
work
with
kip.
So
I
wasn't.
I
wasn't
just
going
on
past
knowledge,
it's
actually
it's
it's
in
the
application.
B
Okay,
so
miss
james.
If
you
could
help
me
or.
A
Does
look
like
there's
still
one
member
of
the
public
if
they
would
like
to
speak
if
they
could,
please
raise
their
virtual
hand
in
zoom.
You
may
do
that
by
scrolling
over
the
toolbar
at
the
bottom
and
hitting
the
raised
hand
function.
Yes,
we
do
have
one
member
of
the
public.
If
you
can
unmute
yourself,
please
go
ahead.
J
Hi,
thank
you
so
much.
My
name
is
manuela
rodriguez
bowen
and
I
may
not
have
necessarily
been
considered
for
the
community
involvement
in
this
round
or
the
affiliation
or
the
affiliation.
But
I
did
want
to
come
here
tonight
to
advocate
for
myself
and
my
application,
whether
it's
in
this
capacity
or
the
other,
but
I
do
identify
as
a
latin
american
individual.
J
It's
a
bit
of
everything
as
well.
I
am
a
recent
graduate
from
queens
university.
I
completed
my
master
of
industrial
relations
and
I
do
currently
work
with
providence
care
hospital
in
kingston
ontario
and
as
a
as
a
twice
graduate
of
queens
university
and
as
somebody
who
is
still
young,
I
do
also
understand
the
challenges
that
come
with
being
a
recent
graduate
and
trying
to
find
a
place
out
in
the
working
world.
J
Similarly,
I
have
been
a
member
of
the
kingston
community
for
quite
some
time
and
I
do
understand
some
of
the
you
know
the
microaggressions
that
do
occur
and
I
do
see
issues
in
terms
of
structural
barriers
that
exist
for
folks,
like
myself
and
and
others,
and
I
think
that
it
would
be
such
a
an
honor
and
a
privilege
to
be
able
to
elevate
and
amplify
the
voices
of
those
who
are
marginalized,
not
just
for
myself
but
for
the
members
of
the
communities
that
I
am
a
part
of
and
as
well.
J
J
So
still,
obviously
in
the
works,
but
something
you
know
looking
at
the
language
and
checking
for
those
systemic
barriers
that
do
exist
and
just
in
addition
to
that,
I
do
have
my
intercultural
awareness
certificate
from
queen's
university,
as
well
as
the
indigenous
cultural
safety
ontario
certificate
that
was
issued
by
the
provincial
health
services
authority,
and
you
know
just
to
add
on
to
that.
I
I
do
understand
the
challenges
that
do
come
with
being
a
member
of
a
marginalized
community
and
that's
everything.
Thank
you.
So
much.
B
Thank
you,
it's
great
to
have
you
participate
and,
and
to
hear
from
to
hear
about
all
your
all
of
your
contributions.
Thank
you.
We
any
any
further
members
of
the
public.
Okay.
B
F
It
was
unmuted
and
I
just
muted
myself
I
apologize.
There
are
a
number
of
people
whose
application
who
are
here.
I
think
three
of
them
that
we
actually
assigned
committee
to
last
time,
and
I
made
sure
that
I
didn't
double
check
that,
because
usually
we
try
to
avoid
that.
F
B
Yeah,
thank
you.
Okay,
so
miss
james.
If
you
could,
please
lead
us
through
using
the
numbers
and
the
names
for
the
vote
and
we'll
go
through
that
list.
We
each
have
four
votes
this
time
around.
Does
anyone
need
a
minute?
I
actually
need
just
a
minute.
I'm
sorry
yeah,
I'm
just
gonna
put
myself
on
mute.
B
B
K
L
L
M
M
K
A
Madam
chair,
based
on
what
I
have
noted
here,
there
is
no
candidate
who
reached
the
threshold
of
four.
There
are
one
two
three
sorry,
two
candidates
who
three
candidates
who
had
a
count
of
zero.
B
We
did
have
one
candidate
with
three,
which
would
be
the
majority
of
votes.
Sorry,
the
amount
of
majority
of
the
committee
right
exactly
sorry,
okay,
but
it
is
the
highest
number.
I
just
wanted
to
point
that
out
and
so
the
it's
james,
if
you
could
just
read
the
three
with
the
zeros
that
would
be
not
included.
B
Okay,
so
now
I'll
just
go
back
to
the
committee
for
any
discussion
or
any
revision
of
your
remaining
votes.
You'll
have
four
votes
again
this
time,
because
we
haven't
selected
anyone,
but
things
may
have
changed
a
bit
so
just
any
further
thoughts.
If
anyone
has
any
go
ahead,
counselor
kylie.
E
B
G
Perhaps
while
everyone's
waiting,
I
I'd
like
to
throw
a
pitch
in
for
number
32,
mr
sharon
kishawami,
the
indian,
the
india,
canada
association
kingston,
is
very
active
in
our
community
they've
brought
in
a
number
of
times,
they've
had
the
deputy
minister.
A
As
well,
I
had
a
little
bit
of
a
zoom
glitch
there,
but
if
you
were
waiting
on
me,
I
am
back
now.
G
Oh,
no,
I'm
just
going
to
say
of
the
applicants.
We
have
a
number
of
people
from
various
ethnic
communities,
but
there
isn't
anyone
representing
the
india,
canada
association
that
I
was
able
to
pick
out
easily
identifiable
and
the
work
that
they
do
is
quite
incredible.
I've
attended
a
number
of
presentations
at
queen's
university.
G
They
certainly
raised
awareness
and
support
for
what
was
happening
during
the
pandemic
in
india.
They
did
a
great
deal
of
work.
They
organized
cultural
festivals,
which
you
know
what
an
opportunity
as
stephanie
mara
had
tend
to
an
opportunity
to
attend
was
outstanding.
B
Thank
you.
Anyone
else.
B
Okay,
so
we've
got
the
numbered
list
to
go
through
again
slightly
shorter
this
time
and
we'll
have
four
votes:
each
miss
james
when
you're
ready.
L
A
A
K
K
M
K
M
M
A
A
Okay,
so
madame
chair
by
that
count,
oliver
hill
achieved
a
threshold
of
four
sean
hamandas.
A
Sorry
I'll
read
the
numbers.
Oliver
hill
number
22
reach
the
threshold
of
four
number
25
sean
commanders
received
zero
number
36,
lisa
v
mcdonald
received
zero.
B
Thank
you
all
right,
so
would
anyone
wish
to
comment
further.
B
It
is
very
challenging,
I
think
one
thing,
I'm
keeping
in
mind
at
this
time.
I
guess
I'll
just
say,
is
looking
at
gender
parity
as
well
as
affiliation.
I
know
we
still
have
more
spots
to
fill,
but
I
think
it's
important
to
have
it
within
the
these
four:
a
good,
a
good
range
of
people
from
different
organizational
affiliations
and
activities,
as
well
as
some
gender
balance.
I
I
B
It
is
very
challenging
because
if
we
had
a
larger
committee
we
would
be.
This
would
be
a
lot
simpler,
go
ahead.
Counselor
kylie.
E
Thanks,
madam
chairman,
through
you,
I
think
it's
saying,
but
for
members
of
the
public
who
may
be
tuning
in
because
we
have
a
second
round
of
voting
now,
a
vote
not
for
someone
now
could
actually
mean
a
vote
for
someone
in
the
next
round,
and
I
think
that's
important
for
folks
to
note
that,
because
of
the
strength
of
the
bench
that
we
have
to
select
from,
there
could
just
be
a
bit
of
jockeying,
but
that
doesn't
mean
that
a
person
is
not
eligible
or
more
than
that,
that
you
know
they
shouldn't
be
on
the
committee.
E
So
it's
not
really
a
negative
statement.
If
someone
isn't
getting
a
vote,
especially
at
this
point.
B
B
K
L
L
K
L
M
M
M
L
A
Okay,
so,
based
on
my
numbers
here,
vanessa
jurassimo
received
five
votes,
so
she
they
achieved
the
threshold.
She
that
person
is
candidate,
number
16.
A
B
Okay,
thank
you.
So
then
we
so
we
have
one
more
added
vanessa
drasmo
and
then
we
are,
we
will
not
be
voting.
Can
you
please
go
over
the
three
candidates?
I
believe
it's
three
with
zero.
B
So
seeing
no
other
comments
at
this
point
we'll
go
through
the
list
again,
I
actually
just
need
30
seconds
to
get
organized.
A
K
A
M
K
M
M
M
B
I
see
you
counselor
hutchinson.
I
was
just
speaking
so
this
is
the
part
where
it's
getting
challenging
and
where
we
will
need
to
start
narrowing
in
and
perhaps
being
more
persuasive,
counselor
hutchinson
go
ahead.
D
B
Yeah,
I'm
I'm
prepared
to
get
there.
I
just
think
I'd
like
to
give
it
one
more
round,
because
I
think
we
might
have
a
vote
or
two
shift.
Okay.
This
is
the
first
round
of
not
seeing
any
movement,
so
I
and
also
I
think
it's
better
to
go
into
that
prepared
and
just
so.
Everyone
knows
this
next
time
around.
If
someone,
if,
if
people
receive
one-
and
we
have
candidates
with
more
votes
than
that,
then
those
with
one
will
will
fall
away.
E
Thanks,
madam
chair
three,
what
I'll
say
is
actually
I'm
prepared
to
vote
for
sunita
gupta
here
I
had
her
for
my
next
list,
which
was
kind
of
foreshadowed.
My
comments
last
time
I
think,
she's
a
tremendous
candidate.
E
I
didn't
affiliate
her
directly
with
an
organization
this
time
but,
as
you
said
in
your
words
council
hall,
and
she
has
amazing
institutional
knowledge,
so
absolutely
I'll
feel
comfortable
and
proud
to
vote
for
her,
which
means
I
won't
vote
for
zerman
khan
at
this
point,
but
I
will
suggest
him
later
so
that
will
hopefully
switch
a
bit
of
a
balance
there
and
maybe
get
another
candidate
nominated
this
round.
E
D
B
Great
hey
anyone
else,
okay,
so
seeing
then
so
we'll
go
through.
We
have
two
votes
again
this
time.
Candidates
who
don't,
who
have
the
fewest
votes
in
this
case
could
be
as
as
it
could
be.
One
vote
will
not
continue
forward
and
we'll
do
that
from
this
point
on
as
we
get
through
the
final
spots
on
this,
so
two
votes
miss
james
when
you're
ready
go
ahead.
A
K
A
M
A
A
So
that
brings
us
to
candidate
19
sunita
gupta
received
four
votes.
Candidate
26,
sermon
khan
received
zero.
I
B
True,
now
that
we
have
another
spot
that
losing
the
ones
makes
some
sense
still,
but
we're
really
just
down
to
one
spot,
so
people's
votes
are
gonna
change,
no
matter
what.
A
If
the
committee
were
to
not
consider
the
candidates
with
one
vote,
then
that
would
lead
remaining
in
the
next
round
candidate.
One
felix
I
called
and
candidate
23
hal
holt.
B
B
Okay,
ready,
if
I
think,
I'm
ready
everyone
else,
ready.
Okay,
go
ahead,
miss.
A
It
so,
madam
chair,
through
you
that,
based
on
my
notes
here
that
brings
the
four
community
associated
appointments
to
be
oliver
hill
vanessa,
jurassimo,
sunita,
gupta
and
hal
holt
right,
okay,.
B
Fantastic
well,
congratulations
to
those
new
members
of
the
committee
are
the
very
the
very
f.
I
guess
it's,
the
inaugural
group
of
this
equity
diversity
and
inclusion
advisory
committee,
which
is
going
to
be
such
doing
such
important
work
and
yeah,
as
was
mentioned,
we'll
continue
now
going
through
this
list
to
the
whole
list
again,
so
anyone
who
didn't
get
selected
that
time
will
be
up
for
consideration
for
community
members
and
we'll
just
we'll
get
started
in
one
sec.
B
F
B
B
B
B
Sorry
I
got
piled
up
in
some
paper,
okay,
so
any
questions
before
we
begin
in
terms
of
who
we
are
reviewing,
essentially
everyone,
but
the
the
four
that
we
have
already
been
selected,
but
rather
than
they
go
through
all
those
names.
We
will
put
forward
a
short
list
second
time
around
and
then
we'll
have
some
discussion.
Then
we'll
go
to
members
of
the
community.
F
Thank
you
I'll
put
number
25
shan
yaman.
Does
I
apologize
for
the
mispronunciation,
as
I
mentioned
before,
he
has
an
mba.
F
He
was
a
past
president,
I
believe,
of
the
canadian
pakistani
organization,
a
founding
member
of
daft
brewing,
and
this
wasn't
high
on
my
impressive
list,
but
it
might
be
for
councillor
chappelle
he's.
Also
a
very
active
member
with
the
chamber
of
commerce,
so
he'd
be
an
excellent
member.
Then
number
31,
I
mentioned
before
she's
very
active
iska
member.
That's
you
jer,
I
believe,
is
the
pronunciation
and
I
will
agree
with
some
of
the
earlier
supporters
of
number
32
sharan.
F
I
also
will
put
forward
number
33
leticia
lane.
She
has
a
really
impressive
resume
and
and
self-identifies
as
lgbtq.
I
F
There's
so
many
it's
the
glory
of
living
in
kingston
there's.
So
many
really
active
community
members
with
phds,
but
I'm
going
to
put
forward
number
44,
which
is
saket
metallica,
mattel
he's
south
asian.
F
He
works
in
dnd.
He
has
worked
in
the
past
with
the
a
correctional
services.
I
believe
and
he's
a
chef
and
is
a
is
a
psac
steward,
so
he
would
possibly
be
the
only
labor
representative
on
the
committee,
my
fi
or
no.
I
guess
I
have
three
more
number
57
ophelia,
rigo
she's,
very,
very
active
in
the
community
is
a
real
human
rights
activist
and
within
the
community
should
be
an
excellent
member.
F
On
on
the
committee,
number
59
is
gabrielle
roday
she's,
a
person
of
of
color
she's,
a
member
of
owecta
she's,
a
french
immersion
teacher
and
has
been
really
active
on
the
diversity
committee
of
electa,
so
she'd
be
an
excellent
member
as
well.
That's
59!
F
My
final
two
is
number
60,
manuela
rodriguez,
bowen
she's
spoken
to
us
on
a
couple
of
occasions.
She's
articulate,
I
think,
she'd
be
a
good
member
of
the
committee.
She
sounds
very
enthusiastic
and
number
61.
Muhammad
sunny
he's
been
very
active
with
kip,
so
I
think
he'd
be
a
good
member
as
well.
So
that's
my
short
list,
it's
hard
to
say
a
short
list
of
nine.
That's
pretty
sure.
B
Thank
you,
counselor,
neil.
Before
we
go
any
further,
I
just
want
to
point
out.
There
are
a
number
of
applicants
who
use
the
pronouns
they
them
and
their
their
salutation
is
mx.
B
We
did
get
a
helpful
comment
from
one
applicant
who
suggested
as
part
of
our
practice
in
the
future
that
we
include
a
section
on
pronouns
within
the
initial
part
of
the
application,
where
you
put
in
your
details,
which
I
think
is
really
important.
Many
many,
though,
did
include
that
information
in
their
application.
So
whenever
we
are
aware
of
that,
we
should
be
trying
to
use
those
pronouns,
so
leticia
lange
actually
goes
by
the
pronouns
they
them
and
as
we
continue
forward
with
with
them
on
the
short
list.
I
just
wanted
to
make
note
of
that.
B
B
D
D
The
I
also
picked
out
number
31,
who
or
cole
and
because
of
her
work
with
his
community
health,
centers
and
immigration,
and
also
number
39,
newer
muslim,
whose
young
person
identifies
as
lgbtq
and
has
experience
with
the
sexual
assault
center
boards
and
sustainable
kingston
and
identifies
as
a
woman
of
color.
D
So
I
think
it's
good
to
have
some
some
youth
on
there
and
I
also
was
interested
in
mimi
merrill
who's
connected
to
the
refugee
sponsorship
coordinator
from
the
anglican
diocese
and
the
canadian
council
of
refugees
who
had
some
work
identifies
as
an
african
woman
and
as
a
pertinent
partner
has
partnered
with
keys
in
this
case.
So
he
has
some
wide
experience
there.
So
I
think
she's
well
worth
considering.
D
Also,
I
think,
number
18
lingal
who
is
works
of
empire
life
is
comes
from
an
immigrant
family
he's
a
member
of
chinese
alliance
church.
I
think
this
is
important,
because
the
two
largest
immigrant
groups
in
kingston
are
the
chinese,
chinese
and
portuguese,
and
so
I
was
looking
to
see
if
we
could
place
someone
from
at
least
one
person
from
those
groups.
D
The
I
also
picked
out
the
number
16
manuela
rodriguez
bowen.
She
spoke
to
us.
I
think
we're
clear
on
her
qualifications.
She
would
probably
be
a
good
articulate
member
of
this
group
and
I'm
coming
back.
D
I
supported
in
the
last
round
number
61
muhammad
sani
and
the
reason
I
picked
out
him
in
particular
is
that
he's
a
coordinator
for
both
kipp
he's
an
immigrant
partners
and
a
coordinator
for
kingston
community
health
centers,
so
that
allows
us
to
hit
two
really
important
spots
and
we
need
people
who
have
done
this
work
before
to
make
it
work.
D
I
would
suggest
such
as
reviewing
inclusion,
related
documents
reviewing
best
practices,
I'm
reading
from
the
mandate
provide
advice
on
the
development
maintenance,
refinement
of
policies,
identified,
training
and
actually
are
annotative
opportunities.
I
think
there's
more
than
one
for
that
and
develop
an
annual
action
plan.
D
So
this
is
someone
who
has
done
this
or
worked
very
akin
to
this,
and
so
I
think
it's
important
to
have
those
people
on
it
or
otherwise
it
tends
to
become
our
own
experts
that
the
city
have
to
shoulder,
maybe
more
than
they
should
have
to
so.
Those
are
my
six
suggestions.
I
I
recognize
so
I
will
do
my
best.
B
Thank
you,
counselor
hutchinson.
Anyone
like
to
go
next
council
credit.
E
Thanks,
madam
chair,
through
you
like
in
the
first
round,
a
number
of
the
names
stated
were
on
my
list,
which
wasn't
so
short
either
for
five
people
is
probably
double
that,
but
a
few
names
that
weren't
mentioned
yet
alsabee
falcon
number
14
and
this
applicant
stood
out
to
me
because
of
their
work
in
apartheid,
south
africa
and
negotiating
truth
and
reconciliation.
E
In
that
context,
which
I
believe
will
be
part
of
the
mandate
of
this
organization,
thinking
about
decolonization
and
ways
in
which
we
can
move
towards
a
less
western-centric
policy
and
practice
in
the
city
of
kingston.
So
the
fact
that
they've
done
that
in
another
context,
I
believe,
is
important.
So
that's
number
14.
E
I
believe
in
the
last
round
by
a
few
folks
and
that's
the
suene
oliver
mowenke,
who
works
with
youth
in
family
and
child
services,
either
him
or
number
36
who
we
talked
about
last
time
as
well:
lisa,
vimel
mcdonald,
for
the
same
reason,
working
with
youth
but
lisa
in
particular
with
youth
that
have
disabilities,
and
I
know
that
we're
not
really
talking
about
specific
groups
this
time
around.
We
did
that.
E
Last
time,
but
as
a
community
member,
I
think
that's
still
appropriate
to
mention
and
then
finally,
yes,
number
26,
who
I
advocated
for
last
time
but
switched
my
vote.
Zerman
khan,
I
didn't
mention
his
long.
Involvement
with
the
multicultural
arts
festival
he's
the
emcee
there.
So
he's
a
community
member
who
people
recognize
and
I
think
that's
important
as
well
so
established
relationships
can
be
reflected
in
this
committee.
I
think
that
goes
a
long
way
for
establishing
the
import
that
it
has
in
the
community.
A
H
You,
madam
chair
yeah,
the
two
names
I
was
gonna
put
forward
that
haven't
already
been
said:
counselor
kylie
just
talked
about
elsa
b
falcon
right,
so
she
was
one
of
my
two,
but
the
other
person
was
raymond
digby,
which
is
number
11,
and
that's
because
of
her
involvement
with
the
kingston
multicultural
festival
and
the
kingston
african
caribbean
collective.
H
H
G
I
found
this
very
difficult.
There
are
some
incredible
residents,
so
I'm
going
to
add
a
few
that
may
not
be
on
this
list
and
I'm
going
to
exceed
the
numbers
slightly
mercedes
augustine
with
her
work
with
epilepsy
on
ontario.
G
So
that
is
number
two
mercedes
augustine.
I
also
was
putting
forward
carla
brennan,
and
that
is
she
was
number
six
number
12.
G
maria
helena
delgado
she's,
a
senior
that
has
been
very
active
with
regards
to
some
development
projects.
But
in
addition
to
that
she's,
a
long
time
interpreter
for
spanish
language
teaches
spanish
still
continues
to
teach
very
engaged
in
the
community,
and
I
think
she
brings
a
a
calming
factor
on
how
she
deals
with
people.
And
I
really
like
her.
G
You
know
on
on
the
whole
realm
of
new
new
people
who
are
professionals
muhammad
number,
17
muhammad
kashif
is
also
very
interesting
to
me.
I
will
lean
on
on
the
on
the
tip
from
from
counselor
neal
and
and
look
forward
to
daft
brewing
with
mr
sean
john.
I
think
that
was
great
great
pitch.
I
definitely
am
going
to
be
supporting
without
reservation.
Our
representative
from
the
india
canada
association,
which
I
was
supporting
throughout
the
last
series
sharon
kishore
shirami.
G
I
have
a
brutal
with
names,
I'm
so
sorry
and
and
and
I'd
still
like
to
put
forward
jenny
nearing
if,
if
genie
nearing,
if
if
with
with
her
her
community
work
and
a
person
that
was
not
brought
up,
there's
there's
two.
G
I
have
two
one
left
latoya
powder,
I'm
sure
many
of
you
recognize
her
name
she's
with
patrice
she's
new
to
to
kingston
and
very
articulate
young
woman
and
I'm
so
she
wants
to
become
engaged,
and
this
might
be
a
great
way
for
her
to
get
another
greater
understanding
of
our
community
and
then,
of
course,
we
had
debate
last
week
about
nicholas
number
67.
Sorry
latoya
was
number
54,
67
nicholas.
G
I
told
bc
who's
the
paralympian,
certainly
a
representative
group
that
I
think
is
important
when
we
look
at
inclusivity
in
in
our
community,
so
those
are
the
ones
that
I
would
before
that
I
know
I
only
have
five
votes,
so
I
even
have
to
shorten
for
myself.
B
B
C
I
J
Thanks
yeah,
once
again,
I
think
just
a
few
things
that
I
perhaps
missed
in
the
initial
advocacy
for
myself
would
be
that
I
also
am
fluent
in
spanish
and
advanced
level
french
as
well.
So
I
do.
I
did
do
french
immersion
all
throughout
my
high
school
experience
and
as
well.
I
did
when
I
was
a
queen
student.
J
J
I
have
previously
worked
with
rbc
and
there
I
have
been
a
mentor
to
lots
of
young
individuals
who
are
starting
off
in
their
careers
from
different
backgrounds,
and
that
is
everything
that
I'd
like
to
add.
Thank
you.
So
much
for
the
opportunity.
B
Thank
you
great
okay,
so
next
we'll
go
then,
when
miss
james
is
ready
to
go
through
the
list
and
we'll
have
five
votes
for
the
first
round.
Anyone
who
receives
four
or
more
would
be
considered
selected
and
anyone
who
received
zero
at
the
in
this
round
will
fall
off.
M

H
Was
that
yeah
yeah?
That
was
me,
I
thought
it
was
yeah.
I
wrote
down
number
80,
but
it's
really
number
60.
So
yes,
just
for.
K
L
A
B
Okay,
thank
you
so
so
no
one
was
selected
so
we'll
have
five
votes
again
before
we
go
through
the
list
and
I
apologize
miss
james.
I
know
there's
a
lot
of
list
reading
tonight,
but
before
we
vote,
if
you
wouldn't
mind
giving
us
the
list
again
just
so
that
we
have
a
revised
short
list
to.
B
A
C
A
To
mute
myself,
the
remaining
candidates
are
number
two
mercedes
augustine
number:
six:
carla
brennan
number:
eleven
raymond
digby
number;
twelve
marina
helena
delgado
number.
Fourteen
el
sabi
number
18
lin
gao
number;
25,
sean
commanders,
number,
26,
zerman
khan,
number,
31.
A
43
mimi
merrell
44
saket
mittal
49,
senwa,
oliver
minwake,
wanake,
sorry
and
ophelia;
sorry,
57,
ophelia,
rigo,
59,
gabrielle,
roday,
60,
manuela
rodriguez,
bowen,
61,
muhammad
sani,.
F
B
A
N

K
K

G
A
M
D
For
number
31,
it
was
two
votes.
N
A
K
M
L
L
M
L
B
B
I
C
Just
bear
with
me
for
a
second
while
I
stop
my
video.
Hopefully,
that
will
help.
L
A
B
Thank
you
given
that
we'll
still
have
the
ones
we'll
still
be
in
this
round.
Since
we've
we've
had
zeros
when
we
get
to
the
point
where
we
have
no
more
zeros,
that's
when
we
will
obviously
move
to
the
next
lowest,
which
would
be
ones,
and
so
we
still
have
five
votes
each,
but
a
shortened
list.
Anyone
like
to
speak
about
councillor
crowley.
E
I
realize
folks
voted
for
her
in
the
past,
but
didn't
this
time
for
their
own
reasons,
but
I
would
like
to
encourage
you
to
do
so
again
because
I
think
I've
said
it,
but
she
works
with
community
living
and
youth,
particularly
who
have
disabilities
and
having
a
voice
around
the
table.
That
would
represent
perspectives
from
those
communities.
I
think,
is
incredibly
important.
In
my
estimation
I
could
be
wrong,
but
from
looking
at
who
we've
already
approved
in
the
last
round
of
voting,
I
don't
think
we
have
that
voice
or
voices.
J
E
B
Thank
you,
yeah
and
I'll.
Just
I'll
add,
since
I
haven't
really
mentioned
the
rationale
for
my
short
list,
yet
I
will
add
that
with
number
57
ophelia
would
go.
She
has
extensive
experience
working
in
the
area
of
mental
health,
which
I
also
think
is
an
important
group
that
we
need
to
be
where
you
know.
Some
accessibility
concerns,
of
course,
are
dealt
with
at
the
accessibility
committee,
but
I
think
with
the
the
prevalence
of
mental
health
in
the
community
and
the
need
for
that
those
supports.
B
I
think
it's
important
to
have
someone
with
experience
in
that
field
as
well.
So
I
would,
I
will
put
her
name
forward
as
my
as
a
stronger
on
my
list.
G
You
know
looking
at
this.
This
is
I'm
not
going
to
to
do
any
further
pitching,
but
I
just
want
to
say
I'm
really
pleased
with
the
tone
and
the
tenor
of
our
meeting
tonight.
Working
collaboratively
together-
and
I
just
want
to
compliment
all
of
my
colleagues
and
thank
you
for
your
patience
and
camaraderie.
D
Oh,
thank
you
we're
not
done
yet
honey.
No.
D
D
To
say
another
word
for
newer
mazum
experience
and
not-for-profit
boards
and
identifies
as
a
woman
of
color,
but
also
identifies
self-identifies
as
a
member
of
the
lgbtq
two-spirit
community,
so
and
is
a
young
woman,
and
I
think
we
we
could
do
with
that
representation.
Thank
you.
B
Okay,
so
five
votes
a
smaller
list,
miss
james
when
you're
ready.

Madam
chair,
going
back
through
my
notes
here,
candidate
57
ophelia
rigo
reached
a
threshold
of
four
candidates:
six
carla
brennan
candidate
12
maria
helleno
delgado.
B
H
Madam
chairs,
so
now
we
just
have
three
votes
right.
We
have.
B
Okay,
so
anyone
need
the
short
list,
read:
okay,
so
then
we'll
just
go
and
see.
If
counselors
would
like
to
speak
to
the
list
again
or
to
any
candidate.
B
Okay,
so
yes,
that's
correct.
We'll
have
four
votes
this
time
and
last
time
we
still
lost
people
with
zero.
This
time
around
we'll
see
if
there
are
no
zeros
and-
and
someone
has
just
one
vote
and
people
have
just
one
vote,
then
we'll
see
what
that
looks
like
in
the
end,
but
we're
looking
for
four
as
a
minimum.

A
One
chair
candidate,
16,
manuela
rodriguez,
bowen,
achieved
a
threshold
of
four
and
the
following.
Candidates
had
a
count
of
zero,
which
is
candidate,
59,
gabrielle,
roday,.
B
Great
okay,
thank
you
very
much
so
now
we
will
have
three
votes
in
this
round.
I
A
Hey
candidate
11
raymond
digby.

A
Madam
chair,
based
on
my
numbers,
candidate,
26,
zerman
khan,
received
they
passed
the
threshold
of
four
received
five
votes
and
we
had
one
candidate
with
zero
votes,
and
that
is
candidate,
18
lin,
gao,
okay,.
A
A
C
B
Yep,
okay,
so
I
guess
we
can
go
all
right,
so
everyone's
okay
with
the
short
list,
we're
ready.
Okay,
two
votes.
L
N
L
L
A
M
A
B
F
Actually,
I
just
added
my
vote.
I
was
a
little
late
on
that,
so
I
believe
that
that
is
four
votes.
A
K
A
Thank
you
and
candidate
39
noor
masloom.
A
Madam
chair,
we
have
candidate,
32
sharon
krishnaswamy
achieved
a
threshold,
the
threshold
with
four
votes,
as
did
candidate
14
elsabi
falcon
also
with
four
volts.
B
Okay,
so
it
looks
like
we
looks
like
we
got
our
final
list.
Thank
you
thanks
everybody
that
was,
it
was
a
really
tough
job
and
I
don't
have
the
full
list,
but
I
will
ask
miss
james.
If
you
could.
Please
read
us
out
one
last
time,
one
last
list-
and
this
will
be
the
final
list
of
the
entire
group,
the
nine
selected.
That
would
be
excellent.
I
know
we
do
a
recommendation
at
some
point,
but
just
so
that
members
of
the
public
are
aware.
A
We
have
for
the
community
associated
members,
candidate,
22,
oliver
hill
candidate,
16
vanessa,
jurassimo
candidate
19,
sunita
gupta
and
candidate
23,
hal
holt
and
the
from
the
community
at
large.
We
have.
B
A
B
Excellent
okay:
would
someone
like
to
move
that
moved
by
counselor
now
seconded
by
counselor
sanik
excellent,
any
further
discussion
or
questions.
B
Okay,
so
congratulations,
members
of
the
committee,
so
seeing
no
other
discussion
we'll
call
the
vote
on
the
recommendation.
Oh
counselor,
could
you
yeah.
H
The
damn
chair
when
you
presented
to
council
that
night,
you
should
say
this
was
a
five-hour
meeting
because
it
was
two
hours
last
week,
three
hours
tonight
all
of
council
said
no.
This
was
five
hours.
B
Yeah,
it's
it's
a
big.
It
is
a
big
undertaking
and
we're
very
grateful
to
have
to
have
the
support
of
staff
for
this
as
well.
It's
really
important
to
be
able
to
get
through
this
process.
Thank
you
great.
So
I'll
call
the
vote
any
so
all
those
in
favor
for
the
recommendation
opposed
and
it
carries
excellent.
Thank
you
everyone!
B
So
now.
I
believe
we
just
need
a
date
and
time
of
next
sorry
any
are
there
any
motions,
notice,
emotions,
none
any
other
business.
B
A
Yes
through
you,
madam
chair,
the
the
next
meeting
will
be
at
the
call
of
duty
at
the
college
here,
depending
on.
B
Okay,
so
then
we
just
need
a
motion
to
adjourn
goodbye,
counselor
hutchinson,
second
by
counselor,
kylie,
excellent,
all
this
in
favor,
and
it
carries
thank
you
again
to
everyone.
