Today we welcome Kelly McElligott and Jessie Zairo from ByWater Solutions and Monday Minutes as we follow up with their Monday Minutes from this week, and go beyond out-of-the-box functionality by bringing cancelled hold alerts to your home screen! feature

one
of
the
nice
things
about
it
is.

is
very
Consortium
friendly
because
it's
part
of
the
circulation
rules.

not
a
global
system
preference.

we're

do
today
is

going

put

hold
cancellation
thing
that
we
showed
you
on
Monday
how
to
turn
on
we're
going
to
put
a
box
up
here,
just
like
that
button,
that
that
tells
you
if
there
are
any
whole
cancellations
that
need
to
be
attended
to,
because
the
OPAC
holds
cancellation
doesn't
actually
cancel
the
hold
all
it
does.
Is
it
sends
staff
a
message
saying
this
Patron
has
a
hold
waiting
on
the
pickup
shelf
and
they
don't
want
anymore.

They've
indicated
in
the
OPAC
that
they
don't
want
it
anymore.
So
what
we've
got
is
a
piece
of
jQuery
right
here
that
is
going
to
run
a
report
and
that's
the
thing
that
I
like
about
the
way
that
I've
restructured
this
from
the
original
video
is
that
I've
taken
it
so
that
all
of
the
all
of
this
jQuery
does.
Is
it
plugs
in
the
values
from
the
report
into
the
home
page
in
koha?

So,
whatever
kind
of
crazy
thing
you
want
to
appear
on
the
home
page
that
you
get
from
a
report,
you
can
write
the
report
to
do
that,
and
all
this
is
going
to
do
is
put
that
data
in
that
on
the
home
page.
So
the
report
that
I'm
running
here
is,
for
this
example
is,
is
my
report
number
113
and
once
again,
I've
put
all
of
the
instructions
for
how
I'm
doing
this
into
a
web
page,
and
somebody
else
will
create
a
QR
code
that
will
appear
on
the
screen
here.

we
run
regularly
called
the

and

report,
and
so
I've
got
a
different
report
here
that
I'm
going

use
to
plug
all
that
that
I
use
to
plug
all
this
data
into
next
search,
catalog,
and
so,
if
I
all
I
have
to
do
is
change.
The
report
number
and
modify
a
few
pieces
of
the
URL
and
I
can
make
all
of
this
appear
on
the
home
page
instead.

this
will
show
you
not
just
the
cancellation
requests,
but
it's
going
to
show
you
some
other
things
too,
and
that's
why
I
like
I
said
it.
It
really
can
make
a
lot
of
things
happen.
So
actually
I've
already
got
this
set
up,
so
that
Christopher
has
like
a
presentation
to
give
in
a
couple
of
minutes
and
so
he's
worried
about
running
out
of
time.
So
I
set
this
all
up
so
that
I
can
switch
to
this
different
report
really
quickly,
just
by
changing
my
my
JavaScript,
and
so,
if
I
reload
this
page.

yeah,
you
know
I
I
I,
like
the
fact
that
we
have
that
ability
to
to
add
this
information
to
the
front
page
I'm
hoping
that
someday
this
will
become
part
of
the
built-in,
because
we
want
staff
to
be
able
to
be
notified
of
certain
things
and
not
have
to
dig
to
find
out
whether
yeah
something
needs
to
be
pulled.
Or
you
know
something
needs
to
be
attended
to.
I
think
that
alert
panel
needs
to
become
a
little
bit
more
customizable.

know,
Nichols
only
has
a
collection
of
like
a
thousand
professional
development
items
and
we
don't
get
a
lot
of
alert
messages,
and
so
you
know
that
was
something
that
we
did.
A
video
on
earlier
is
putting
those
alert
messages
that
normally
appear
underneath
the
big
buttons
and
pushing
them
up
over
here
and
so
it'd
be
nice.
If
we
could
automatically
have
like
the
holds
Q
count
and
the
cancellation
requests,
if
those
could
become
part
of
the
alerts
right
and
then
we
could
make
the
alerts
go
wherever
we
want.
That
would
be
awesome.

Yeah
I
have
a
I
had
a
library
and
a
library
director
who
just
retired
that
she
was
older
and
her
vision
wasn't
great,
and
so
she
had
her
like
30
inch
wide
monitor
set
to,
like
you
know,
800
by
600
resolution,
because
her
vision
was
really
bad
and
so
koha
the
big
buttons.
You
didn't
even
get
halfway
down
the
big
buttons.
