Description
K8s ContribSummit Core Planning: Amsterdam for 20200330
A
All
right
we
are
recording.
This
is
another
contributor
summit
meeting.
It
is
March
30th
I
love
you
all.
This
has
been
long
coming,
so
let's
do
it.
We
have
new
dates.
Hooray.
If
I
recall
off
the
top
of
my
head,
they
are
August,
13,
3/16,
I,
think
that
sounds
right.
The
biggest
thing
of
note-
and
this
is
kind
of
weird
and
also
kind
of
cool.
It
is
a
weekend.
So
previously
it
would
be.
You
know,
like
cube.
Con,
would
be
Tuesday
through
Thursday.
This
I
think
is
Thursday
through
Sunday
and
I.
A
Think
we
are
on
Wednesday
I
need
to
double
check,
but
that
sounds
right.
Yes,
so
this
is
totally
weird.
Let's
just
go
ahead
and
take
a
mulligan
Mulligan
means
do-over.
We
are
literally
just
going
to
start
over.
That
seems
like
the
cleanest
thing.
To
do.
Right
now
is
to
just
start
breathing
somebody
all
right,
so
I
want
to
reach
out
to
every
single
staff
member
I'm,
not
gonna.
Do
it
right
now,
if
you
feel
like
throwing
your
hand
up
and
saying
sweet,
yes,
we're
good!
A
Doing
the
exact
same
thing
do
not
feel
compelled
or
obligated
to
do
it
if
you
hadn't
had
plans
like
normally
you
have
to
you
know,
plan
your
time
out
a
few
months
in
advance,
and
this
is,
you
know,
probably
different
than
what
you
were
planning
on
so
again,
don't
feel
bad,
it's
more!
If
I
know
that
we
have
certain
holes
that
we
need
to
fill
with
staff,
I'd
rather
know
sooner,
so
we
can
start
reaching
out
and
finding
other
people
to
fill
them
up.
A
B
One
thing
I
wanted
to
point
out
and
the
the
announcement
was
that
they
said
or
seen
see
have
said
that
these
are
the
dates.
If
we
don't
do
it
physically,
like
in
person,
we're
gonna,
do
it
virtually
so
we
still
could
be
right
back
where
we
were
like
a
couple
weeks
ago.
We're
doing
this
virtually
so.
Keep
that
in
mind
as
well.
That
is.
A
A
D
A
Exactly
that
I'm
gonna
kind
of
leapfrog,
Deb,
sorry
cuz,
that's
that's
a
pretty
good
dovetail,
so
I
have
reached
out
to
mentoring,
hi
marki,
and
they
have
said
that
a
NCW
is
good
to
move
under
mentoring.
We
need
to
find
owners
and
we
need
to
make
sure
that
we're
not
just
you
know,
dumping
it
into
their
lap
and
then
asking
them
to
do
a
bunch
of
work
which
that
was
never
my
intent
in
the
first
place.
A
So
one
of
the
things
that
I'm
doing
this
week
is
I'm
gonna
reach
out
to
NCW
folks
and
see
who
is
on
board
with
being
an
owner
I'm
going
to
cut
the
PR
to
actually
move
it
under
mentoring
and
then
kind
of
kickstart
that
from
there
so
that
is
NCW
the
intent
is
there
will
not
be
an
NCW
at
the
contributor
summit
at
this
point.
Is
that
news
to
anybody
all
right,
good.
E
A
F
They
cannot
do
it
on
August
12th.
So
if
we
want
to
do
the
reception,
we'll
need
to
keep
that
in
mind
with
scheduling
for
the
website
reg
forum,
other
things
I'm
pacing
in
the
link
right
now,
but
once
we
know
what
we're
doing
we'll
just
need
to
update
that
doc,
and
then
we
can
update
the
website
and
the
reg
form
and
make
sure
people
have
the
information
they
need
to
move
forward
with
their
planning.
And
then
the
final
update
is
not
a
related.
G
F
I,
don't
know
that
we
need
to
start
doing
all
the
planning.
I
just
need
to
get
there
the
best
CNCs,
no
we're
sticking
with
the
Monday
space,
and
we
can
put
the
save
the
date
website
up
and
then
until
we
get
a
little
bit
closer
I
think
we
have
some
wiggle
room
of
just
hold
and
we
just
need
to
put
I
needed
a
placeholder.
Then
yeah.
F
F
A
A
Does
anyone
else
have
any
sense,
EF
related
questions,
all
right,
we'll
move
on
to
current
content?
Yank
filled
this
up
really
quick.
He
let
everyone
know
he's
been
working
with
the
speaker's
the
past
few
weeks.
Less
than
half
of
them
said
that
they
were
going
to
be
able
to
speak.
If
we
did
the
virtual
thing
so
we
cancelled
and
he
notified
all
of
them.
A
He
just
wants
to
sorry
I'll,
just
read
it.
It's
tricky
I'm,
choosing
a
time
to
check
with
speakers
again
or
open
another
CFP,
and
if
there's
anything
that
we
want
to
ping
him
with,
we
should
put
them
in
the
notes.
I
think,
the
sooner
that
we
get
to
see
CFP
out
for
August
the
better
but
I
also
don't
think
we
should
like
I
would
target
it
by
the
end
of
April,
because
that
still
may
june
july,
that's
still
three
months.
Yeah
three.
A
D
D
C
Morning
a
pheromone
evening,
so
there
is
not
much
on
the
registration
side,
but
things
to
be
done
here
are
asking
like
sending
it
in
is
the
email
whether
they
are
attending
on
the
new
dates
or
not,
and
then
just
restart
the
registrations.
So
yeah
we'll
be
working
on
working
with
them
to
work
on
like
progressing
this.
A
So
I
have
an
opinion,
but
I'm
not
sure
if
this
was
already
kind
of
discussed.
I
may
have
honestly
forgotten
is
the
plan
that
people
that
have
already
registered
registered
for
the
March
April
dates.
We're
just
going
to
email
them
and
say:
hey
here
are
the
new
dates?
Here's
the
new
registration
link.
Please,
we
register.
Are
we
going
to
try
and
transition
them
like
the
registration
over.
F
We're
using
the
same
registration
form
so
we're
gonna
follow
the
same
system
that
a
coupon
is
doing
so,
if
they've,
already
registered,
they're
registered
for
Europe
will
email
them
and
ask
them
that
if
they're
no
longer
going
to
be
attending
that
they
cancel
their
registration,
but
if
they
are
still
planning
on
attending,
no
action
is
needed.
That
only
thing
that
would
different
there
is
for
new
contributors
will
obviously
be
unregistering
all
of
them
and
will
let
them
know
why?
Okay.
A
With
that
we
are
actually
at
the
end
next
week
there
should
be
a
lot
more
info
with
what
new
contributor
workshop
moving
under
mentoring
is
going
to
look
like
there
should
be
a
PR
inflate,
that's
very
least,
if
not
merged
in
and
I
will
try
and
hammer
out
a
timeline
on
how
things
are
gonna.
Look
for
the
next
three
or
four
months
have
I
missed
anything.
Have
we
missed
anything?
We.
I
A
I
A
With
with
you
and
the
fact
that
we're
removing
NCW
we're
gonna
have
more
space
that
we
could
actually
do
face
to
faces
on
and
I
know,
unconference
upfront
has
kind
of
a
little
bit
of
effort,
but,
like
I
was
wondering
if,
with
plan
I'm,
sorry
I'm
freezing
this
horrible,
because
I'm
freezing
at
home
my
brain.
What
should
we
try
and
schedule
the
face-to-face
as
any
differently
than
we
do
current
content?
And
if
we
did,
should
we
have
unconference
team?
Be
the
ones
that
also
try
and
schedule
face
to
faces?
A
Head
out
beat
it
so
current
content
is
focused
on
trying
to
schedule
sessions
like
informative
sessions,
presentations,
which
is
kind
of
different
from
cig
face-to-face
meetings.
Like
a
cig
cluster
lifecycle
focus
group-
am
I
good
so
far,
yeah
I'm
today
is
not
a
good
language
today
for
me,
so
should
scheduling
sig
face
two
faces
and
reaching
out
to
SIG's
and
working
with
SIG's
to
get
them
space
be
handled
by
K.
The
current
content
team,
or
should
it
be
handled
by
a
different
team
and
I
was
thinking?
E
A
H
J
A
Okay,
thank
you
for
sorting
my
brain
out,
so
it
does
make
sense
for
the
face
to
faces
to
also
be
scheduled
through
current
content,
but
then
there
now
the
area.
The
point
that
Bob
made
is
how
feasible
are
unconference
sessions.
If
they're
only
going
to
be
well
I
mean
we
did
them
previously
with
posing
them
in
the
morning
and
then
just
doing
them
in
the
afternoon
correct.
It's
just
hard
to
get
the
word
about
what
sessions
there
actually
are
available.
I
G
J
I've
got
two
loads
of
unconferences
that
didn't
schedule
anything
until
the
morning
of
and
so
I
think.
If
you
set
the
I
mean
we
could
do
a
big
a
little
bit
early
or
or
you
just
set
the
expectation
that
the
unconference
sessions
are
going
to
be
scheduled
the
morning
of,
and
then
you
spend
a
lot
of
time,
posting
links
and
slack
and
on
Twitter
and
helping
people
try
to
get
visibility
for
when
when
the
sessions
are
and
which
sessions
are.
Where
would.
E
A
A
E
J
G
J
J
B
F
A
A
So
I
think
the
one
thing
that
we
just
need
to
be
cognizant
about
when
we
do
spin
up
CFPs
and
start
like
gathering
content
is
upfront.
We
just
plan
on
the
possibility
of
us
having
to
do
virtual,
and
we
let
the
speakers
know.
Hey.
We've
had
to
deal
with
this
once
already.
Let's
just
upfront
say
make
sure
that
you
could
possibly
pre-record
your
talk
or
present
it
remotely
and
just
be
transparent
about
it
and.
J
C
A
I
I
would
be
okay.
Opening
the
CF
like
I
was
I
was
thinking.
We
open
the
CFP
at
the
end
of
April
and
I
have
no
problem,
not
closing
it.
For
a
while,
and
just
seeing
who
winds
up,
submitting
or
resubmitting
like
I
got
no
problem,
not
committing
for
a
while
I
just
do
want
to
get
some
of
the
things
that
we
had
to
rush
on
before
because
of
holidays
and
stuff.
