Description
[SIG ContribEx] Weekly Meeting for 20220202
A
Out
there
we
go
hi,
everybody
welcome
to
sick
contributor
experience.
Weekly
meeting
today
is
february
the
second.
I
am
your
host
allison
dowdy,
if
you
could,
if
you're
in
the
chat,
if
you're
in
the
call
right
now,
if
you
could
add
your
name
to
the
attendees,
the
agendas
linked
in
the
chat
and
just
a
little
bit
of
housekeeping
before
we
begin,
I
should
have
said
that
before,
but
yeah
we
abide
by
a
code
of
conduct
here
so
in
short,
be
excellent
to
each
other
and
yeah.
A
So
with
all
those
things
out
the
way,
let's
get
right
into
the
agenda,
so
events
office
hours,
so
there's
things
happening
around
office
hours
and
shifting
it
to
the
to
cloud
native
to
the
cncf,
and,
I
believe
bob
have
you
heard
any
updates
on
that
from.
B
A
Yeah
I've,
I
will
have
to
say
also
with
the
cloud
native
tv
and
stuff,
I'm
kind
of
involved
with
that
as
well,
and
you
know
if
I
hear
any
like
updates
and
you
know
how
that's
going
to
go,
how
that's
going
to
happen
going
forward
and
things
I'll,
let
I'll
let
everybody
here
know,
but
at
the
moment,
like
yeah,
I
still
have
to
have
some
discussions
with
people
around
that,
but
it
is
like
it's
gonna
start
back
up
soon,
hopefully
yeah.
A
All
righty,
so
next
we
have
the
community
meeting
and
I'm
just
gonna
see
we
do
not
have
laura
on
the
line
and
yeah,
but
laura's
left
some
notes
here.
So
laura
needs
to
respond
to
marketing.
There
is
a
form
for
topics
it's
linked
in
the
agenda.
There
probably
needs
some
help
sharing
with
the
new
google
group
and
if
anyone
you
would
like
to
host
the
community
meeting,
you
know
reach
out
to
laura
she's
she's
happy
to
support
you
and
get
you
get.
A
You
started,
get
you
up
there
yeah
any
comments
which
various
questions
around
the
community
meeting.
A
Yeah,
so
next
any
other
comments,
queries
or
to
the
next
item
to
the
next
item
contributor
summit.
So
like
kubecon
valencia,
I've
fallen
behind
on
stuff,
which
explains
my
absence
for
a
huge
chunk
of
january.
But
you
know
it's
happening
and
like
it's
happening,
we're
planning
to
have
a
reception.
Still
the
room
reservation
is,
and
already
I
copied
that
comment
from
like
an
earlier
meeting.
The
earlier
last
kind
of
meeting
that
I
attended
for
contribute,
experience
and
yeah.
A
So
I'm
hoping
actually,
you
know
to
start
getting
this
on
the
road
at
least
get
something
in
to
get
by
the
end
of
this
week
because
would
be
good
to
have
a
page,
a
document
with
something
on
it
so
that
people
can
see
this
is
going
to
be
a
thing.
It
might
not
be
like
the
last
big
contributor
summit
that
we
had
in
san
diego,
it's
probably
going
to
be
more
similar
to
the
la
la
one,
which
was
just
kind
of
a
chill
room
with
contributors
hanging
out
and
catching
up
and
yeah.
A
Any
other
questions
queries
comments
about
the
contributor
summit.
C
C
A
Is
maybe
we
should
create
a
form
which
is
like
you
know,
like
a
request
to
kind
of,
like
you
know,
share
the
space,
but
we
can't
guarantee
because
otherwise
you
know
what
happens
if
everyone's?
Just
like
oh
free
space
right,
we
have
to
then
kind
of
make
a
judgment.
A
Call
on
you
know
what
cncf
kind
of
projects
would
let
into
our
space
and
like
priority
would
be
given
to
those
which
align
more
of
us,
for
instance,
like
the
tag
contributors
strategy,
but,
like
other
other,
like
projects
like
other
cncf
projects
themselves
would
be
like
you
know,
yeah,
we
got
to
figure
all
this
out,
so
maybe.
D
A
A
Awesome
so
mentoring,
so
I
does
anyone
have
any
information
about
what's
happening
with
mentoring.
Currently
I
mean
meet
our
contributors.
I
do
not
see
paris
on
the
line.
That's.
E
We've
been
waiting
on
doing
anything
about
it
until
the
community
meeting
is
back
up
and
running,
since
it
requires
a
lot
of
the
same
resources
we
don't
necessarily
have
to
so
I
mean
I
will
say
that
there
is
still
a
desire
in
the
community
for
a
sort
of
in-person
meet
your
contributors,
because
the
monday
morning,
mentoring
meeting
is
frequently
attended
by
people
who
are
new
to
the
community
and
are
looking
for.
E
You
know,
help
and
direction,
so
there's
still
kind
of
a
desire
to
have
that
kind
of
a
thing
and-
and
I
would
like
to
restart
it
once
we
get
the
chance,
but
at
least
previously
controvex
has
said,
let's
restart
the
community
meeting
first
and
then
live
meet
our
contributor.
Second,
the
other
stuff
going
on
mentoring,
lfx
deadline
was
yesterday
for
the
spring
term.
E
We
have
three
potential
internships
within
well,
two
within
kubernetes,
one
kubernetes
cncf
that
have
been
submitted
so
we'll
see,
you
know
whether
or
not
those
attract
interns,
et
cetera
and
the
deadline
for
joining
gsoc
as
a
project
is
the
middle
of
this
month.
E
So
if
anybody
is
interested
in
being
part
of
google
summer
of
code
on
the
mentor
side-
or
you
know-
I
don't
know
a
couple
of
people
here,
if
you're
actually
students
on
the
on
the
student
side
side,
then
I
ping
me
an
e-horror
on
slack
within
the
contribex
channel.
F
I'm
here
no,
like
basically
I've
covered
ever
soon,
except
that,
as
far
as
I
remember,
we
have
a
bit
more
than
three
proposals
from
this
community
for
lfx
right,
yeah,.
E
F
They've
been
like
kind
of
like
weirdly
shorted,
so
they've
been
submitted
like
under
the
different
names
but
like
in
general.
We
have
we
have
like
around
five
and
if
you're
curious,
we
have
like
around
40
total
submissions
for
our
house.
This
means
there
are
tons
of
tons
of
potential
opportunities
for
the
new
year.
E
E
E
F
Yeah,
basically,
we
will
we'll
announce
the
list
of
accepted
projects
to
gsuc
like
like
today
or
tomorrow.
F
So
you
will
have
like
around
two
weeks
for
submit
your
grcc
proposals
if,
if
anything
will
go
around
with
lfx,
but
our
intention
is
to
accept
yeah
as
much
as
as
as
many
as
possible
elephants
proposals
unless
some
of
them
are
like
kind
of
like
out
of
scope
or
something
like
this.
Okay.
E
The
trying
to
remember
whether,
anyway,
we
should
we
should
talk
about
this
in
terms
of
putting
together
some
dso
z
stuff,
because
you
know
for
our
application
for
gss.
We
need
to
have
some
example
projects
and
I
like
the
idea
of
reusing
the
ones
that
we
already
have,
but,
of
course
that
means
we
might
actually
need
different
ones
when
it
comes
to
opening
applications.
F
E
F
Another
small
housekeeping
item
about
mentoring.
So
it's
not
like
again
like
it's
not
only
kubernetes
related,
but
it's
like
more
about
the
cncf
driven
mentoring
initiative,
so
we're
moving
towards
using
the
github
discussions
board
instead
of
slack.
F
So
we
found
it
like
it
can
be
way
more
productive
to
have
conversations
on
on
the
cmc
under
the
cncf
discussions
boards,
rather
than
on
cncf
slack
or
somewhere.
So
if
you
have
any
questions
or
you'd
like
to
discuss
something
with
cncf
stuff
or
like
with
anybody
else
who
is
related
to
to
the
cnc
mentoring
program,
so
go
ahead
to
the
cnc
mentoring
report
to
discussion
boards.
F
We
we
already
have
a
few
announcements
there
and
you
can
find
some
links
in
the
in
the
media
nodes
here.
A
Oh
any
other
queries
comments,
concerns.
E
Other
thing
I
really
am
going
to
get
off
that
doodle
this
week
to
change
the
time
slot
for
the
mentoring
meeting.
E
A
Sounds
good
moving
forward
new
contributor
workshop
now,
the
last
I
forgot
to
fill
out
the
stuff
here
last
I
heard
is:
it
was
with
the
tech
writers
bob
any
updates.
B
So
I
think
mine's
way
eric
and
oh
yeah
they've
been
focused
on
the
contributor
guide
right
now.
Instead
of
that,
so
that's
the
next
thing
on
the
list:
okay.
So,
after
after
the
contributor
guide
after
the
contributor
guide,
not
a
skill
to
change
streams
like
right
now.
A
Okay-
okay,
that's
that's!
That's
all
right!
We
better
write
that
now
a
new
trivia
workshop,
because
next
and
the
most
and
next
we
have
a
community
management.
A
G
Hey
what's
up
y'all,
this
is
nigel.
I
added
an
item
there
about
the
youtube
stuff.
So
basically,
what's
happening
is
one
I'm
very
swamped
at
work
and
haven't
had
time
to
write
a
lot
of
this
down,
but
did
some
exploring
in
the
account
last
week-
or
I
guess
that's
two
weeks
ago
now
and
we're
trying
to
figure
out
what
the
best
best
path
forward
is.
G
G
That,
like
works,
really
well
like
they
put
it
out
and
it's
in
the
zoom
marketplace,
and
we
could
try
that
out
too
but
paris's
point,
and
I
think
it's
well
made.
Is
that
like,
if
we're
not
gonna,
be
sending
to
youtube?
Why
send
the
zapier?
Why
not
just
put
it
in
google
drive
and
let
people
go
there
and
then
watch
the
videos.
E
G
B
E
G
It's
not
a
like
foreground
player,
but
yeah.
Basically,
there's
nothing.
That's
super
like
neat
with
a
bow
on
top
of
it
unless
we
roll
our
own
and
it's
just
like
making
sure
that
we
have
like
community
buy-in
for
that
and
if
it
does,
does
the
effort
make
sense
for
the
outcome.
B
B
The
biggest
thing
is
if
we
can
get
the
formatting
correctly
of
the
like
file
names
or
or
whatever
coming
from
zoom
or,
like
you
know,
the
different
directories
and
things
like
that
that
can
like
map
to
playlists
yeah.
G
B
G
I
think
that
if
we
enforce
things
on
the
zoom
sides
like
for
everyone
that
has
a
meeting
if
we're
going
in
and
changing
the
names
of
these
meetings,
to
be
more
specific,
that's
going
to
help.
But
is
that
something
that
we
can
enforce
across
all
of
the
cigs?
That
if
you
have
a
meeting
you
go
in
and
you
format
the
title?
The
meeting
like
this
so
that
the
automation
doesn't
break.
B
We
can't
like
we
can't
force
that
upon
them.
We
can,
you
know,
tell
them
like
it
should
be
this,
but
whether
that
happens
or
not
is
is
the
question,
but
the
like,
where
I
think
we
might
be
able
to
get
more
buy-in
is.
If
we
have,
you
know
the
the
additional
sort
of
like
value,
add
youtube
automation
that
actually
works.
The
leads
don't
have
to
like
do
that
work
and
then
the
other
one
is
just
like.
B
So
if
we
like
do
stuff
like
offer
that,
in
addition
to
all
this,
we
might
be
able
to
get
more,
you
know
more
more
cooperation
with
those
things
like
hey.
If
you
do
this,
we'll
give
you
a
google.
G
B
Here's
the
problem:
we
cannot
go
into
their
accounts
without
changing
the
password
for
them
and
going
to
the
individual
accounts.
The
root
account
doesn't
let
you
go
into
the
individual
ones
under
the
account
gotcha.
It's
a
pain.
B
The
the
big
thing
like
I
think,
if
each
sig
is
dumping
to
its
own
individual
folder
or
its
own
individual
drive,
they
can
maintain
it
a
we
know
which
which
cigarette
belongs
to
if
we
break
it
down
too
just
like
by
playlist,
because,
like
network
has
like
the
api
gateway
meetings
and
the
ingress
engine
x
meetings.
B
So
as
long
as
I
think
we
can
get
them
to,
you
know
at
least
have
some
information,
the
file
name
and
get
them
to
put
files
in
correct
directories.
Oh
crap,
no
nevermind
that
wouldn't
work
for,
because
zoom
doesn't
let
you
see,
I'd
have
to
be
in
the
file
names.
So
as
long
as
it's
the
file
name
is
formatted
correctly,
we
can
potentially
get
information
from
it.
B
G
Yeah,
so
the
long
and
short
of
it
is,
I
need
to
open
an
issue
and
we
should
have
a
discussion
on
github
about
like
what
what
path
to
take
forward.
C
We
talked
about
the
mentoring
subgroup
to
an
extent
josh,
so
there
might
be
some
overlap
there
that
we
could
help
with.
Potentially
we
can
definitely
tweet
and
blog
about
it
as
well
right
like
to
generate
more
interest.
So
let
us
know
if
you
want
some
of
that
to
happen.
C
Dabrada,
I
think
you
brought
like
are
going
to
spearhead
some
of
that.
If
you
want
to
mention
anything.
C
In
the
mentoring
meeting,
awesome
excellent.
Thank
you.
Also.
The
catacota
scenario
needs
to
be
pr
into
the
doc
site.
At
some
point.
It's
a
as
a
resource
right.
We
have
some
other
catacottas
in
flight
as
well,
and
then
a
lot
of
it
is
like
just
tweeting
what
we
should
tweet
we're
trying
to
create
like
an
evergreen
pile
of
tweets,
as
well
as
trying
to
help
out
folks
navigate
the
pile
of
things
right
like
if
they
want
something
put
out
there.
C
You
know
we
could
do
that
in
an
evergreen
fashion
right
like
if
this
is
something
that
happens
every
year
at
this
time,
like
that's
an
evergreen
tweak
kind
of
deal.
So
a
lot
of
action
going
on
there,
we're
gonna
get
out
in
front
of
the
annual
report
this
year,
as
well
as.
A
D
I've
been
going
through
the
contributor
guide
and
I've
been
sort
of
doing
a
first
pass
to
get
it
caught
up
to
our
formatting
standards
for
markdown
and
stuff,
and
I
do
have
some
bigger
changes.
I
was
talking
to
paris
and
sort
of
brainstorming
some
ideas
on
breaking
out,
like
the
help
wanted
section
into
different
personas
and
kind
of
getting
a
better
flow
for
people
to
get
that
information,
and
I
know
that
another
guy
that
I've
been
working
with
aaron.
D
He
has
a
bunch
of
a
few
contributor
guide
pages
up
in
google
docs
that
he
was
asking
for
comments
on,
I'm
not
sure
if
all
of
those
have
been
collected
yet
but
I'll
I'll
check
with
them
and
see
so
it's
coming
along.
I
think
we've
got
we're
we're
making
some
progress,
and
I
think
after
we
kind
of
do
this
initial
formatting
bit
we're
going
to
make
some
structural
changes.
That
hope,
hopefully
make
sense
and
don't
make
people
angry.
D
Yeah,
well,
it's
fun
to
get
back
into
it.
I
I've
been.
This
is
a
fun
community.
I
miss
I
miss
working
with
you
guys.
A
Okay,
so
next
we
have
github
management,
any
updates.
D
B
That's
that's
a
big
one
and
there
is
a
help
wanted
issue
out
to
just
update
our
cla
that
md
with
the
information
for
easy
cla.
B
It
is
mostly
actually
just
gutting
it
completely
because
like
there's,
there
isn't
a
process
beforehand.
You
open
up
a
pr
and
then
follow
the
instructions
that
the
easy
cla
bot
tells
you
to
do.
A
All
righty
that
leads
us
to
the
end
of
our
meeting
here.
It's
up
to
open
mic
and
discussion
is
one
thing
that
I've
forgotten
to
put
on
this
agenda,
but
it
is
the
annual
report.
We
are
currently
like
this
there's
a
draft
pr
and
we
need
to
get
that
in
soon
and
yeah
yeah.
A
If
you
would
like
to
work
or
you
think
something
should
be
on
the
annual
report,
please
take
a
look
at
the
github
issue
for
the
annual
report.
It's
inside
kubernetes
community.
I
need
to
link
it.
Where
is
it?
Let
me
just
paste
this.
Let
me
just
find
this
and.
A
Experience
there
we
found
it
how
the
internet.
A
And
anything
else
folks
would
like
to
discuss
today.
B
Now
maybe
one
thing
for
the
next
in
person
call
would
just
be
to
you
know
we
like
we
can
stop
some
more
stuff
out
in
the
the
pr
and
then
go
through
it
as
a
group.
A
With
them
anything
else
felt
like
to
discuss
or
shall
I
give
you
30
minutes
of
your
day
there
it's
a
bit
bit
of
a
quick
meeting
today.
A
All
righty
well,
thank
you,
everyone
for
attending
today
and
see
you
at
the
see
you
at
the
next
meeting.
Alright
thanks.
