From YouTube: [SIG ContribEx] Weekly Marketing Meeting for 20221216
Description
[SIG ContribEx] Weekly Marketing Meeting for 20221216
A
I
have
started
the
recording
for
this
meeting
for
warning.
All
of
our
meetings
are
recorded
and
they
go
up
on
YouTube
at
some
point.
So
it's
a
lot
of
videos
out
there
of
me
looking
very
disheveled
because
I'm
on
the
west
coast
and
it's
8
am
but.
A
I
have
shared
the
link
to
the
notes
in
the
chat.
I
think
it
should
be
there
for
everyone
and
yeah,
looks
like
everyone's
in
here
and
I
see
that
there
are
a
couple
of
new
folks
on.
We
always
like
to
give
the
opportunity
at
the
beginning
of
these
meetings,
if
I
remember,
which
thankful
I
have
today
or
any
new
folks
to
introduce
yourselves
and
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
why
you're
here
and
what
you'd
like
to
get
out
of
being
here
totally
optional.
A
B
Hi
I'm
Caitlin
I
primarily
contribute
to
six
security
and
will
be
working
really
intensely
with
6cli
over
the
next
six
months
for
a
open
source
placement.
With
my
work,
which
is
Shopify,
really
excited,
I
really
enjoyed
contributors
Summit
in
Detroit.
That
was
my
first
one
attending
and
so
I
wanted
to
volunteer
to
help
with
this
year's
one
and
hopped
on
the
issue
and
was
recommended
to
check
out
some
of
the
meetings.
So
here
I
am
checking
out
yeah.
C
D
C
A
C
Communicating
taking
articles
from
a
person's
website
and
actually
promoting
them
onto
kubernetes.dev
that
kind
of
thing,
or
just
totally
new
content
on
kubernetes.gov
to
help
contributors
so
yeah
while
contributor
Summit
is
you
know
a
one-time
event
at
a
cubecon
it.
There
was
a
clear
need
to
have
some
comms
continuity,
and
this
group
was
formed.
What
in
2020
yeah
gosh?
It's
been
two
whole
years
cousin.
A
We'll
be
going
through
in
this
meeting
some
of
our
items
that
we're
working
on
in
this
group
as
you've
heard,
we've
already
been
talking
about
the
contributor
Summit,
so
we
can
talk
about
both
whatever
you
want
to
learn
about.
A
D
C
D
F
C
C
One
okay,
good
yeah,
like
yep,
we.
E
G
E
A
This
is
one
right:
my
internet
cut
out
there
for
a
minute.
What
did
I
miss?
Oh
whoops,
we
adding
new
items
to
the
list.
No,
no.
A
D
A
E
E
G
E
E
Work
when
I
started
reading,
this
I
was
only
half
aware
of
the
importance
of
it,
but
it
became
more
and
more
important
as
I
worked
on
the
release,
because
then
I
actually
started
to
have
to
work
100
on
a
GitHub
based
workflow,
without
having
killed
on
my
laptop,
so
I
actually
gained
a
lot
from
working
on
this
nice.
A
C
A
D
A
Mom,
let's
just
check
into
make
sure,
because
there's
one
blog
post
in
here-
that's
been
in
this
list
for
months
and
months
and
months,
then
we
keep
pinging
on
it.
I
think
we
got
a
little
bit
of
movement
on
it
last
time,
just
having
something
tracked
somewhere,
so
that
it
doesn't
go
stale
and
everyone
forgets
that
it
exists.
It's
good
stuff,
all
right,
so
we'll
move
on
from
that
one.
A
Another
update
big
win
that
I
put
in
here
that
we
already
talked
about
a
little
bit
before
the
meeting
started
is
that
this
is
our
last
meeting
of
the
Year
yay.
We
will.
We
have
canceled
three
meetings
after
this,
so
the
last
two
weeks
of
the
year
we
won't
meet
and
then
the
first
week
of
2023
we
won't
meet
and
we
will
be
back
in
January
of
2023..
A
C
A
C
A
A
The
by
the
way,
the
hotel
blocks
just
came
out
yesterday,
so
if
you
haven't
booked
a
hotel
yet
go
work
on
that
so.
C
C
A
Yeah
we'll
see
how
it
goes.
It's.
C
D
A
E
Castle
you
you
mentioned
no
tells
is,
can
you
point
me
to
the
rights
it's.
C
A
D
A
A
A
D
E
They
haven't
because
yeah
yeah
so
often
what
I!
Well
you
you've
traveled
more
than
I
do,
but
anyway
in
in
a
lot
of
places
in
Europe.
What
I
generally
do
is
to
to
have
a
balance
between
the
surroundings
of
the
hotel
and
the
ability
to
get
somewhere
on
the
subway
in
in
like
20
minutes,
for
example,
in
Paris
this.
E
This
is
this
works
beautifully,
because,
if
I'm
working
on
this
on
the
on
the
suburbs,
it
doesn't
necessarily
mean
that
I
I
have
to
have
a
hotel
there,
but
the
subway
there
Works
beautifully
so
I've
I've
never
experienced
the
amps,
the
subway
in
Amsterdam,
but
just
go
to
any
one
of
those
I,
don't
know
Google
or
whatever
and
then
and
take.
C
A
C
C
A
D
E
Or
less
to
to
register
and
yeah.
C
C
C
A
Another
update-
that's
totally
tangential
to
our
group,
is
that
the
cloud
native
Computing
Foundation
has
the
ambassadors
program,
which
folks
are
probably
have
probably
seen
around
in
some
form
they're
implementing
a
a
rework
of
that
program,
so
applications
just
opened
to
become
a
cncf
Ambassador.
Okay,.
C
C
So
yeah
I'm
putting
together
my
application.
Now
they
want
a
lot
of
information
which
is
good
because
you
kind
of
have
to
say
like
this
is
where
I've
contributed
or
what
my
plans
are
as
well.
So.
A
G
E
I
have
I've
been
hearing
about
it,
I'm
not
sure
exactly
what
it
entails,
but
I
will
certainly
take
a
look
basically.
D
B
C
A
C
C
E
G
A
To
the
one
other
thing
in
updates
and
big
wins
that
I
wanted
to
mention
is
that
next
year,
for
our
first
meeting
on
January
13th,
we
want
to
move
our
note
stock,
because
this
one
is
like
200
Pages
ridiculous.
So
we'll
be
moving
it
into
this
new
Google
Drive
that
we've
been
meaning
to
move
things
into,
and
I
still
haven't,
but
I'm
planning
to
set
up
a
new
note
stock
over
there
before
our
first
meeting
wanted.
B
A
G
D
C
C
C
C
D
A
We
will
see
anyways
anyway.
The
meeting
yeah.
A
Nope,
that
was
one
of
the
things
that
we
were
going
to
talk
about
in
our
meeting
that
I
was
supposed
to
set
up
for
this
week.
I
had
so
much
stuff
with
work
that
I
had
to
finish
up
before
I
left
for
the
year.
That
I
haven't
set
it
up
for
this
week,
but
I
did
set
it
up
for
the
first
week
of
the
year
before
our
first
meeting.
A
A
A
All
right
so
we've
been
through
our
notes
below
the
table
are
like
our
daily
notes
of
updates
and
big
wins
for
the
day,
any
new
items
that
we
added
for
that
day,
but
then
the
table.
This
massive
thing
is
where
we're
tracking
active
items
that
we're
working
on
so
we're
already
halfway
through
the
meeting
over
halfway
through
the
meeting
but
we'll
dive
into
the
table,
which
makes
me
nervous
because
the
table
is
still
long,
but
let's
go
into
it.
A
A
We
set
that
up,
but
then
we
were
also
still
looking
into
ways
to
make
sure
that
we
get
alerted
about
both
issues
and
PR's,
not
that
we've
really
made
any
progress
on
that
I
should
say
on
hold.
A
G
B
C
File
in
this
one
issue,
I
guess
is
the
question
because
I
intend
to
address
one
thing
at
a
time
in
a
very
devops
way:
foreign.
A
A
A
The
GitHub
team,
I
guess
just
the
GitHub
team.
It's
a
fine
way
to
say
that
the
owner's
files
and
the
sub
Project
Lead
definition
yeah.
A
F
B
F
Into
that
at
the
beginning
of
next
year,
yes,
hello,
yeah
I've
been
back
for
a
long
time.
Lots
of
things
going
on
right
now,
yeah
I
was
working
on
this
I
think
after
the
cubecon
I
I
saw
I.
Did
some
research
and
I
found
out
that
there
there's
a
way
to
do
this
to
what
we
want
to
achieve,
but
the
What
the
brow
has
enabled
us
to
do.
Is
we
can
just
mention
channels?
We
can
create
mentioned
channels
configuration
in
the
documents.
F
So,
for
example,
we
can
create
a
configuration
for
kubernetes,
Community
or
kubernetes
contributor
site
and
just
mention
what
channel
we
want
that.
What
channel
we
want
that
mentioned
to
go
in
inside
this
line.
So,
for
example,.
F
Yeah
but
the
whole,
so
what
I've
done
till
now
I
have
not
just
made
some
what
we
say:
I'm
not
yet
fully
researched
it,
but
there
was
a
documentation
somewhere.
So
if
we
just
if,
if
in
GitHub,
someone
mentions
a
sick
contracts,
comms,
for
example,
inside
the
repos
like
kubernetes,
Community
or
kubernetes,
contributed
site
or
kubernetes
website,
then
that
then
we
we
on
slack,
get
notification
on
that
channel,
see
Quantum
X
comes.
C
B
C
C
F
I'll
dig
into
this
again
because
I'm,
starting
all
over
it
again
I'm
getting
along
with
the
updates
now
again
of
what
has
happened
until
now.
So
I'll
update
you
all
again.
A
I'll,
have
that
be
just
you
for
now
atarpa?
If
anyone
else
wants
to
work
on
that
with
you
or
do
you
want
any
help,
let
us
know
but
I'll.
Have
you
be
the
lead
for
that
item.
A
So
the
slack
notification
was
one
thing
on
that,
but
also
maybe
GitHub
notifications
are
another
venue.
Both
work
slack
is
honestly,
probably
easier
for
me
to
see,
but
yeah.
F
Hasn't
CNC
have
been
the
this
thing
for
a
GitHub,
so
for
every
pull
request
or
every
notification
I
think
they
get.
The
channel
gets
a
notification
about
that.
This
person
has
opened
a
PR
or
this
person
has
closed
up
here.
Do
we
want
something
like
that.
C
D
F
Yeah
is
this
possible
to
achieve
with
what
Cuban
cncf
is
working
with.
F
D
A
Next
item
is
I
need
to
move
the
kubecon
tweets
into
the
new
Drive,
which
I
still
have
not
done
yet.
Like
I
was
saying
last
time,
it's
non-trivial
to
move
documents
within
Google
Drive,
so
I
need
to
actually
put
the
time
into
it
to
do
that,
I'll
probably
end
up
doing
it
right
before
we
start
kubecon
stuff,
which
will
be
early
next
year,
so
I'm
just
gonna
leave
that
alone.
D
A
A
A
G
D
A
D
E
C
E
Little
little
things
like
that
are
open,
open
badges
that
can
be
used
for
that.
So
yeah.
C
A
A
C
Yeah
I'm,
gonna
and.
A
A
I
know
right:
it's
already:
8
47
p.m
too,
and
we're
or
am
for
me
and
we're
we're
still
at
the
top
of
the
table.
So
your
problem,
Move
Along
slack
by
issues
I,
don't
think
Imran
is
on
today,
but
I
know
that
he's
been
making
progress
on
this.
A
For
folks
who
are
new
Imran
is
our
Tech
lead,
so
a
lot
of
automation,
tasks
and
some
cage.dev
website
tasks,
and
things
are
things
that
he's
working
on
so
he's
a
good
person
to
talk
to.
If
you
want
to
get
involved
with
automation,
type
work.
A
So
we'll
move
on
from
that
to
the
next
item
update
the
repo
with
role
descriptions.
We've
done
all
of
the
ones
that
we
talked
about
this
year,
except
for
sub-project
lead,
which
we
came
up
with
after
kubecon
n
a
so
that
is
one
of
the
items
that
we
will
talk
about
before
our
first
meeting
in
January.
A
So
I'll
move
on
past
that,
if
you
want
to
know
what
the
roles
are
in
our
group
and
if
you
would
like
to
become
a
shadow
anyone,
even
if
it's
your
first
time
in
the
meeting
you're
most
welcome
to
you-
can
find
all
the
information
about
it
in
our
repo,
which
is
at
the
top
of
this
note,
stock
somewhere
I,
usually
just
go
to
the
Charter
and
find
it
from
there.
Honestly.
C
A
A
A
B
E
Last
time,
no
okay,
but
following
the
discussion
that
we
had
what
I'm
going
to
do
is
to
test
drive
that
idea
that
I've
discussed
last
time.
So
what
I'm
going
to
do
specifically
around
the
city
architecture,
one
because
that's
the
one
that
started.
E
We
already
have
the
okay
I'm
going
to
see
if
adding
a
explicit
PR
and
the
target
dates
on
GitHub,
a
different
response
and-
and
we
can
then
analyze
the
results
either
it
doesn't
make
any
change
or
it
does,
in
which
case
we
can
actually
see
if
we
should
adopt
a
similar
approach
for
future
spotlights.
So
that
will
be
done
during
this
weekend,
because
otherwise
I
don't
I,
don't
have
any
any
any
updates.
E
But
this
is
a
sort
of
good
time
because
we
are
in
between
releases
the
next
one
will
start
on
January
9th
I
think.
On
the
other
hand,
it's
close
to
Christmas,
but
I'm
not
I'm,
not
sure.
This
is
something
negative
because,
for
example,
for
me
personally,
it
means
that
I
actually
have
an
a
week
of
vacations
between
Christmas
and
the
New
Year
I'm,
not
going
anywhere.
So
it
means
that
I
actually
have
some
time
to
spend
on
the
things
that
I,
like
which.
E
Yeah,
it
ends
up
being
the
stuff
that
I
do
outside
of
my
regular
work.
So
I'll
I
think
it's
a
good.
It's
a
good
time
to
test
this
and
I
I'll.
Do
it
you
can
you
can
you
kind
of
just
we
can
have
the
discussion
on
January,
whether
it
produced
any
different
results
or
not.
A
Yeah,
you
mentioned
last
time
that
you
wanted
to
try
out
that
new
process,
so
it'll
be
interesting
to
see
how
that
goes.
Yeah,
that's
most
of
the
challenge
of
writing.
A
Sig
Spotlight
is
coordinating
with
the
co-chairs
of
the
sigs
that
you
want
to
spotlight
and
for
the
new
folks.
These
are
blog
posts
that
we
try
to
write
where
one
of
the
folks
from
our
group
interviews
the
chairs
of
a
different
sick,
and
then
we
write
up
a
blog
post.
A
With
that
interview,
saying
things
about
how
wonderful
the
Sig
is,
what
work
they
do,
what
help
they
need
just
kind
of
shining
a
spotlight
on
that
Sig.
So
it's
a
really
nice
first
task.
A
A
So,
if
you'd
like
to
get
involved
with
that,
let
us
know,
especially
on
the
slack
Channel
I
can
ping
you
with
all
of
the
documentation
that
we
have
to
help
you
get
started.
If
you
want
to
do
one
of
those,
we
have
a
few
others
that
are
also
in
progress
but
I.
Don't
think
any
of
those
folks
are
here.
A
A
Awesome
and
one
thing
did
someone
have
another
comment
about
that.
Sorry.
A
Okay,
but
another
thing
that
Avinash
mentioned
in
the
chat
I
feel
like
this
was
kind
of
like
in
the
back
of
my
mind,
while
we
were
talking
about
the
contributor
Summit
thing,
but
it
did
not
formulate,
but
basically
should
the
contributor
Summit
be
part
of
our
event,
lead
role.
C
Were
kind
of
talking
about
it
in
the
chat
yeah
like
I,
don't
want
to
create
like
this
thing
in
comms
is
a
permanent
position
on
every
single
event
kind
of
thing.
I!
Don't
want
to
create
that
scenario,
but
I
don't
want
to
rule
it
out
either
because
we
might
have
somebody
that
actually
does
want
to
do
that
at
some
point,
so
keep
it
optional
to
be
to
force
that
person
to
volunteer
to
lead,
but
that
person
would
be
the
go-to
person
for
that
events,
staff
to
say:
hey.
C
A
This
was
the
thing
that
came
up
with
Sig
contribex
when
we
were
talking
about
this
role
was
like.
Does
that
mean
that
they
will
be
the
the
comms
lead
for
all
of
these
events,
and
we
decided
no.
This
person
will
be
a
contact
for
the
lead
for
all
of
those
events
yeah.
So
they
are
separate
roles.
The
way
that
we've
defined
things
is
the
con
there's
a
contributor,
Summit
comms
lead.
A
Who
could
then
ask
you
Avinash
for
assistance
if
needed
in
this
case
it's
Chris
so
and
in
the
past
it
was
me,
so
we're
usually
pretty
involved
with
this
group
anyway,
so
there
probably
won't
be
much
for
you
to
do.
A
C
A
G
I
think
the
point
of
contact
is
a
very
good
thing
to
start
with
and
later,
if
we
feel
like,
we
can,
you
know,
add,
add
some
additional
burden
to
it.
We
can
do
that.
G
C
You
could
say:
well
let
me
pull
in
the
whole
com
team
and
get
their
opinion
right
like
you.
Could
totally
do
that
and
say:
I'll
take
it
to
the
next
comms
meeting
and
then
we
could
have
a
discussion
and
then
there's
output.
You
know
do,
however,
you
want
to
manage
that
yeah.
Thank
you,
but
don't
create
a
role
that
constantly
turns
because
of
burnout.
That's
all
I
ask.
C
C
C
A
A
Imran
and
Mophie
are
kind
of
looking
into
that.
Still
everyone
talked
about
it
last
week,
I.
C
C
A
G
Maybe
not
because
I
think
the
buffer
API
is
not
available
for
for
development.
Now,
so
even
right,
the
API
is
not
supporting
the
buffer
tool.
I
was
exploring
a
bit.
A
C
I,
don't
know
yeah
you
yeah
might.
A
It'll
be
a
good
thing
for
us
to
keep
an
eye
on
I'm
gonna
move
on,
because
we
have
one
minute
left.
There's
this
blog
that
I
pinged
about
Maha
said
she
was
going
to
work
on
it.
I
haven't
seen
any
movement.
A
Blog
sub
project
process
changes
no
activity
there,
Rodrigo,
probably
to
check
up
on
the
docs
team,
and
we
are
at
time
scheduling
tweets.
We
don't
need
to
talk
about
that
security,
comms
guidelines
someday
we'll
work
on
that
here's
another
place
where
we're
talking
about
buffer
zapier
GitHub
stuff.
A
We
need
to
add
your
admin
notes
to
our
documentation.
We'll
talk
about
this
in
our
meeting
blogging
process
updates.
We
talked
about
that
already.
Fedrico
Imran
needs
to
be
an
approver
for
kate's.dev,
probably
something
that
we
should
add
to
that
role.
We
can
talk
about
that
in
our
meeting
as
well,
and
we
added
these
two
today,
this
issue
on
updating
the
guidelines
to
represent
squashing
and
contributor
comms
called
stars,
and
it's
still
9am.
So
no,
it's
901.
C
So
just
looked
at
zapier,
you
can't
do
anything
with
GitHub
when
things
close,
you
can
do
nothing
when
things
open.
Yes,
but
not
when
things
close.
So
that's
interesting.
That's.
A
B
A
So
if
you
are
new
to
the
group-
and
you
saw
something
that
sounded
pretty
cool
and
you
want
to
hang
out
with
us
again-
we
would
love
to
have
you
in
January
or,
if
you're
looking
for
something
to
do
in
the
meanwhile
ping
Us
in
slack,
we
will
do
our
best
to
help
you
out,
if
you're
actively
working
on
something
and
you
need
any
help.
You
can
find
us
there
as
well
and
with
that
I
think
we're
done
with
our
last
meeting
for
the
year.
