A
Hello,
everyone
and
welcome
to
the
august
16th
computer
science
at
a
meeting
as
a
general
reminder
for
folks,
these
calls
are
recorded
and
we
post
on
the
internet
when
someone
on
the
youtube
admin
team
gets
around
to
it,
which
will
probably
be
me
later,
but
whatever
we
abide
by
the
scenes
of
code
of
contact
which
essentially
boils
down
to
please
be
excellent
to
each
other.
A
And
we
can
kick
things
right
off
honestly,
I
don't
have
too
much
updates
right
now,
so
deb
you're
kind
of
the
default
go
to
to
start.
So
do
you
mind.
B
Sure
thing
happy
monday,
everyone
first
off
some
upcoming
deadlines
today
is
august
16th,
which
means
it's
the
finalized
av
request
and
room
layouts
deadline.
I
don't
see
laura
on
the
call,
but
I
do
know
she
we
chatted
about
it
last
week
and
she
said
if
she
was
gonna,
make
any
changes
she'd.
Let
me
know
today,
so
I
will
keep
an
eye
out
for
those
if
they
come
through
august
20th,
which
is
this
friday,
is
the
t-shirt.
Artwork
deadline
josh?
How
are
we
tracking
with
that.
C
Well,
I
was
waiting
for
people
to
vote
on
whether
they
were
okay
with
the
current
design,
so
that
was
shared
out
to
slack
like
last
wednesday
or
thursday
wednesday,
and
I've
had
a
few
people
plus
one
it.
C
But
if
people
could,
if
we
could
decide
at
this
meeting
and
if
that
design
is
acceptable,
then
I
can
get
you
a
vector
today.
A
For
reference,
I'll
drop,
a
link.
C
So
so
far
lightweight
hoodies
has
has
the
votes.
So
if,
if
you
like
me
loath
synthetics,
then
you
better
get
in
there
and
vote.
C
B
A
A
I
thought
budget
wise.
F
A
B
So
I
can
get
I
mean.
The
price
range
is
between
25
and
33
dollars
and
our
budget
all
in
for
bags
and
stickers,
and
all
the
things
is
5
000..
So,
no
matter
what
it
looks
like.
G
C
Okay
I'll
go
ahead
and
send
you
a
vector,
deb
and
then
the
and
then
the
vendor
can
tell
me
what's
wrong
with
the
vector
I
said.
C
B
Sounds
good
I'll
look
forward
to
that
then.
Well,
then,
those
are
the
two
deadlines
so
moving
on
to
reg,
just
as
an
update
right
now
we
have
12
in-person
attendees
registered
and
14
virtual
attendees.
A
I
was,
I
would
definitely
advocate
for
more
comms
and
at
this,
that
count
also
does
not
include
any
staff
that
is
just
attendees
yeah
and,
like
I
personally
know
about
20
people
that
have
not
signed
up
yet
that
are
probably
closer
to
30
people.
I've
not
set
up
that
are
googlers.
A
Here
is
the
it's
at
the
top
of
the
okay
for
the
the
regis
link.
Oh.
C
The
so
I
actually
last
week
had
reason
to
reach
out
to
a
handful
of
our
sig
leads
about
summit
and
found
out
that
none
of
the
ones
that
I
had
reached
out
to
were
going
to
kubecon
in
person
has
have
we
done
any
sort
of
general
broadcast
to
the
sig
leads
to
find
out
how
many
of
them
are
going
to
summit.
A
A
lot
of
people
are
honestly
just
50
50..
I
think,
like
I'm
curious,
if
people
are
holding
off
registering
until
they
get
a
better
idea
of
what
what
things
will
look
like,
so
we
might
wind
up
in
the
like
situation.
Where
say
mid-september
we
get
a
big
push
of
people
registering
whether
for
in-person
or
virtual,
okay,.
D
C
The
I
know
for
our
staff,
whereas
they
would
normally
only
need
to
get
one
approval
due
to
kubecon.
They
now.
G
D
C
A
A
So,
like
I
don't
know
how
we
can
potentially
gauge
that
we
did
a
you
know,
a
poll
before
we
did
all
the
planning
like
kicked
off
the
planning
meetings.
Talking
about
like.
Would
you
attend
in
person?
If
you
can
and
honestly
like,
I
remember
a
good
chunk
of
people
wanted
to
if
they
can,
but
that's
the
that's
the
question
and
then
sentiment
towards
all
this
is
is
a
question
we
could
try
sending
out
like
another
poll,
but
I
don't
know,
I
honestly
don't
know
how
much
response
we
get.
A
I
would
either
way
suggest
sending
out
more
coms
like
sending
out
like
another
update,
just
as
a
reminder
to
the
mailing
list
is
like.
A
So
it
might
be
worth
just
sending
like
another:
hey,
reggie's,
open
type
thing.
I
know
laura's
on
the
call
right
now,
but
does
anyone
have
any
idea
if
people
put
anything
to
the
cfp
because
that
might
be
another
sort
of
indicator
for
us.
B
And
also
keep
in
mind,
I
mean
typically,
this
is.
We
would
see
a
lot
of
registrations
up
front
because
people
know
their
travel
plans,
they
know
what
they
want
to
do.
You
know
in
a
normal
world,
that's
what
happens,
but
covets
a
very
fluid
situation
right
now
and
we
sent
the
poll
delta
wasn't
a
huge
thing
yet
the
variant
it
is
right
now.
But
if
we
look
at
the
trends
in
other
countries
that
have
gone
through
this,
they
should
start
decreasing
in
the
coming
weeks
and
people
may
feel
more
comfortable
again.
B
A
Right
so
no
cfp
entries
at
this
point.
D
E
B
It's
all
good
things
there,
but
again
I
mean
it's
not
I'm
gonna
set
everyone's
expectation.
We
are
expecting
smaller
events
across
the
board
in
person,
so
that
kubecon
you
are
used
to
seeing
will
be
just
a
smaller
version
of
that.
The
similar
to
how
we're
doing
you
know
a
smaller
version
of
contributor
summit
in
person
virtual
is
compensating
for
the
other
side
of
that,
so
we'll
have
a
strong
virtual
presence
on,
for
both
events
looks
like.
C
B
Yes,
so
for
those
that
didn't
see
it
in
slack
last
week,
I'm
with
the
updated
covet
protocols
lucky
strike
is
no
longer
a
good
option
for
us.
They
have
opened
up
for
the
public
use
seven
days
a
week,
and
so
a
lot
of
our
space
would
actually
be
shared
space
now,
which
is
really
disappointing,
and
a
full
buyout
is
extremely
over
budget.
So
we
don't
it's
just
not
a
good
option
for
us
to
move
forward
with
the
ace
hotel
is
still
an
option.
B
It
is
also
over
budget,
and
so
I'd
like
to
leave
it
as
a
backup
option
for
reference,
and
I
added
some
numbers
in
there.
The
budget
is
20k
for
the
ace
hotel,
the
minimum
is
20k,
but
we
estimate
you'll
actually
spend
27
before
taxes
and
service
fees
and
things
like
that
or
bringing
in
any
activities
and
for
a
reference
point
in
2019,
because
I
think
this
is
really
important.
B
As
we
look
at
venues
in
2019
for
450
people
to
do
a
reception
we
spent
22
000
and
now
we're
looking
at
spending
30k
for
200
people.
It's
just
very
high.
Lucky
strike
was
also
very
high,
not
quite
as
high
as
the
ace,
but
also
very
high,
it's
kind
of
on
the
edge
of
being
questionable,
so
we're
reaching
up
the
eighth
hotel.
We
can
put
this
base
on
hold
and
be
notified
of
others
request
about
it.
B
That
kind
of
a
thing
just
so
we
don't
lose
it,
but
we're
going
to
look
at
some
other
venue
options
for
a
smaller
number
of
attendees
from
the
100
to
150
range
and
see
if
that
gives
us
a
little
bit
better
opportunities.
B
B
A
A
B
A
Okay
with
that,
we
can
kick
over
to
content.
I
don't
know
if
anyone
from
the
content
team
is
officially
here.
A
A
The
one
big
thing
is
that
this
isn't
quite
contributors
on
it,
but
sort
of
is
just
for,
like
historical
reasons,
is
the
sig
meet
and
greet,
and
with
it
now
being
a
part
of
the
main
kubecon
event,
so
we
will
need
to
start,
you
know,
poke
and
leads,
and
all
that
to
see
if
anyone
like
to
check
with
their
sigs-
and
I
asked
them
about
this
too,
during
like
last
week's
chair
and
tl
meeting-
that
they
have
anyone
that
is
going
to
keep
con
that
could
potentially
represent
their
sig
at
that
event,
that
would
be
super
awesome,
but
we
will
probably
need
to
start.
H
Hey
there
I
just
joined
sorry.
I
got
pulled
away
from
work
girl,
so
we
sent
out
the
cfp
reg
email
class
monday
early
last
week.
I
I
see
that
we've
got
no
cfes,
so
great
job
I'll
work
on
the
reminder.
Email
nudge
emails
this
week,
so
we
can
send
them
out
next
week.
H
A
A
A
F
A
A
A
Yeah,
the
the
one
thing
that
might
be
interesting
is,
if,
like
all,
are
if
the
majority
of
people
do
like,
if
a
lot
of
the
impressive
people
do
back
out,
actually
we
might
need
to
send
like
follow-up,
comms
or
follow-up
message
or
thing
close
to
the
event
to
see.
Just
like.
Are
you
still
planning
to
attend
in
person.
G
H
G
I'm
not
I'm
not
saying.
Oh
50
people
are
showing
up
minus
staff.
Okay!
Well
we're
just
going
to
do
a
virtual
event.
I
just
think
at
that
point:
it's
like
okay.
Maybe
it
is
virtual
and
a
bunch
of
people
just
sit
in
one
of
the
main
rooms
and
then
it's
still
more
of
a
virtual
thing.
I
I
don't
know
what
that
would
look
like.
That
was
just
something
that
crossed
my
mind.
G
D
The
uk
government
they
change,
they
make
changes
to
the
travel
restrictions
with
a
few
days
notice.
Companies
do
the
same
thing
I
mean
when
the
whole
pandemic
started.
I
was
in
the
u.s
and
I
was
on
my
way
literally
on
my
way
to
several
conferences,
and
I
just
I
just
got
emails
like
go
home
now,
and
so
I
don't
know
how
much
notice
we're
gonna
have
for
changes
to
registration.
C
B
G
A
Okay,
I
guess
we
will
call
that
there.
Thank
you
all
for
swinging
on
bye
and
hopefully
we
actually
do
get
to
put
on
in
person.
So
I'm
like,
I
should
have
people
there
and
people
get
to
show
up
and
have
some
fun,
but
here's
helping.
