From YouTube: Contributor Experience Mentoring Subproject 20191010
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Hello,
everyone
and
welcome
to
October's
edition
of
the
contributor
experience
sub
project
for
kubernetes
mentoring
upstream
edition.
My
name
is
Paris,
as
always,
and
today
I
know
we
are
definitely
going
to
be
talking
about
rhe
and
we
might
come
the
project
board
a
little
bit
more
and
again.
If
anybody
on
the
line
has
any
discussion,
topics
that
they'd
like
to
add,
please
feel
free
to
do
that
now.
A
Otherwise
we
may
have
a
short
call,
which
is
cool
so
first
things.
First
course
video
is
a
code
of
conduct.
Please
be
excellent
to
each
other.
There
is
not
a
lot
of
us
on
this
call
so
just
feel
free
to
yell
things
out
as
we
go
since
it's
only
seven
of
us
so
just
feel
free
to
be
a
discussion
oriented.
That's
totally
fine,
so
first
things.
First,
first
order
of
business,
which
is
the
most
time
sensitive,
that's
out,
reaching
out
reaching
currently
is
in
application
processes.
Again
what
that
means
for
folks.
A
That
don't
know
is
you
have
to
have
a
first-time
contribution
as
part
of
your
application
process
out
ricci,
and
we
have
three
job
specs
or
intern
specs.
If
you
will
out
right
now,
one
for
multi-tenancy
one
for
something
else,
etosha
is
also
running
that
I
can't
even
remember,
I'll
stop
my
head
right
now
and
also
tech
writing.
A
tech
training
is
technically
for
contributor
experience.
That's
doing
the
dev
guide,
as
well
as
possibly
some
contributor,
safe
writing
and
things
along
those
lines.
A
So
everything
is
currently
going
on
right
now
in
hashtag
outreach
e
dash
apps,
that's
in
slack,
that's
where
people
come
in
and
like
if
they
need
help
with
things
we
do
sort
of
a
live
triage,
slash
help
session
with
them.
There
I
will
say
that
applicants
applications
took
a
little
lower
than
usual.
I.
A
Also
think
that
might
have
to
do
with
the
fact
that
our
descriptions
aren't
that
I,
don't
know
what
sort
of
looking
for
Nair
active
or
welcoming
I
did
those
sorts
of
witching
hour,
so
they're
kind
of
boring,
so
I,
probably
at
some
point
either
today
or
tomorrow,
will
go
back
into
that
ricci
site
and
spice
those
spice
those
specs
up
a
little
bit
so
that
we
can
get
some
more
applicants.
I
did
hear
from
outreach
ii
that
they
have
600
people
who
are
qualified
this
round.
So
it's
a
humungous
round
of
qualified
of
qualified
folks.
A
So
that's
just
kind
of
the
high
end
and
low
of
outreach
you
right
now.
Does
anybody
have
any
questions,
concerns
or
comments
without
ricci?
We
do
by
the
time
we
meet
next,
I
think,
the
beginning
of
november
we
will
have
selected
the
students,
I
believe
or
or
be
close
at
the
very
least,
questions
concerns
comments
without
reaching.
A
Quiet
crew,
all
right
good,
that's
it
for
outreach
e.
So
if
anybody
on
the
line
has
cycles
the
best
part
or
the
best
place
to
hang
would
be
again
an
outreach
e
apps
just
to
help
us
out
with
some
triage
and
light
triage
and
things
like
that,
it's
mainly
just
copy
pasting.
The
career
dyary
died
the
contributor
guide
and
just
helping
them.
You
know
get
that
validation
that
they
need
to
make
that
first
PR
essentially,
and
it's
usually
pretty
light
validation.
So.
A
A
All
right
I'll
take
that
as
a
no
as
well.
So
let
me
hit
the
project
board,
really
quick,
just
to
make
sure
that
I
don't
want
to
comment
live,
but
I
just
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
not
missing
anything.
That
is
a
major
deliverable.
Oh
yeah,
the
one
thing
I
didn't
want
to
talk
about.
That's
not
on
the
schedule
is
a
Q
Khan
face
to
faces.
A
B
C
C
B
D
A
So
cute
Khan
face
to
faces.
That's
still
going
to
be
a
thing.
It
sounds
like
there's
probably
going
to
be
two
sessions
again
a
morning
an
afternoon
and
it's
probably
gonna
be
on
the
Thursday
of
that
week.
If
there's
anybody
on
the
line
that
has
any
extra
cycles
to
either
come
and
mentor,
obviously
that's
the
most
important
part
and
mentors
again
are
anchors.
A
Quote
quote
not
necessarily
mentor
since
you're
sitting
in
a
group,
but
also
needs
some
help
with
just
light
project
management
with
getting
stuff
together
right
now,
CN
CF
is
obviously
a
huge
help,
but
there's
a
couple
different
items
that
are
still
in
the
air,
especially
when
it
comes
to
onboarding
the
anchors,
making
sure
that
everybody's
on
the
same
page,
just
getting
some
Doc's
together,
possibly
ball
posts
stuff
like
that.
So
there's
anybody
on
the
line
that
is
extra,
has
extra
cycles
and
wants
some
visibility.
A
A
A
Youtube
made
our
contributor
updates
I
think
that
Jorge
is
also
looking
into
this.
One
I
think
he
may
be
on
the
line
as
well
code
base
video
tours.
That's
always
in
progress
again.
If
anybody
on
the
line
has
parts
of
the
code
base
that
they
feel
might
be
beneficial
to
have
an
extensive
walkthrough
just
comment
on
there
and
that's
how
we
get
they
get
the
what
to
walk
through
for
meet
our
contributors
and
then
some
more
doc
stuff
for
meet
our
contributors.
So
all
of
this
is
still
in
progress,
which
is
good.
E
A
A
B
Let
me
asking
what
are
you
actually
using
to
handle
the
automation
side
right
now?
I
was
trying
to
look
at
fredda,
BOTS,
cuz,
there's
so
many
different
uses
for
that,
and
some
people
like
no
it's
gonna,
be
too
much
signal
overkill,
but
I
see
some
really
good
application
uses
for
that.
So
that's
kind
of
where
I
was
starting
to
do
that.
A
A
We
welcome
all
we
welcome
all
prototypes
here,
Otis
King,
so
that's
really
it
for
me.
Today,
we've
we
still
have
a
lot
of
groundwork,
in
my
opinion,
to
date
on,
like
I,
said
the
group
mentoring
stuff,
but
you
can
see
that
some
of
the
other
SIG's,
like
the
working
group
that
Michael
toughen
in
they're
starting
to
take
up
some
of
the
group,
mentoring,
concepts
and
use
I
mean
the
key
thing
here
for
group
mentoring.
A
Is
that
they're
using
the
community
membership
dot
MD
doc,
which
is
pretty
much
the
latter,
and
if
we
have
a
ladder
that
means
that
we
have
goals
to
give
to
people.
Okay,
you
know
if
it's
some
arbitrary
number
and
20p
ours
in
three
months,
then
we
say:
okay,
you
have
three
months
and
we'll
review
you
after
twenty
pr's.
That's
a
goal
for
a
group.
So
that's
really
what
it
boils
down
to
for
group
mentoring.
So
here
another
six,
especially
some
of
the
especially
some
of
the
larger
technical
things
advocate
for
this.
It's
it
works.
A
We
have
proof
that
it
works.
The
problem.
Is
it's
not
a
prepackaged
process
right
now
and
that's
where
marketing
is
coming?
In
to
help
us
make
that
a
prettier
process,
that's
more
well
packaged
right,
like
I,
said
right
now,
like
Michael
and
a
bunch
of
others
saying
leads,
are
kind
of
figuring
this
out
as
they
go
with
my
help
and
that
process
pieces
definitely
need
some
help.
So
that's
it
for
mentoring
from
my
angle
today.
F
A
Quick
update,
I'm
slowly
working
on
the
code
base
tours
yes,
you're
awesome
I
see
that
you're
slowly
working
on
it
I
feel
like
I
get
dings
every
time.
Someone
touches
even
touches
anything
around
here
and
documenting
the
major
contributors.
Yes,
okay,
cool!
So
then
maybe
I'll
have
Ren
touch
base
with
you,
so
we
can
see
what
else
needs
to
be
done
and
by
the
way
for
those
that
might
be
watching
I'm
reading
Jorge's
chat,
a
zoom
chat
right
now,
all
right
making
progress
on
your.
Do
you
want
to
cover
anything
today?
A
E
So
we've
been
just
for
the
general
context:
we've
been
discussing
the
community
bridge
that
CF
is
planning
to
open
the
next
round
since
December
and
for
December.
We
initially
planned
to
have
community
bridge
for
those
students
who
were
not
selected
for
outreach,
since
we
have
no
students
that
were
selected
for
outreach
you
or
there
can
be
an
open
call
for
anybody
from
the
communities
community
for
any
potential
students
to
work
on
to
work
on
like
anything
specifically,
we
can.
We
can
focus
on.
E
E
So
if,
if
it's
a
good
time
for
now
to
discuss
that,
we
can
do
it,
if
not,
we
can
switch
over
to
just
like
I
can,
like
figure
out
all
the
details
and
figured
it
up
at
the
next
round
of
the
current
meter
brush
right
now.
The
next
cycle
will
start
in
December,
but
2d
great
I
have
some
ideas
before
that.
A
Thanks
for
that,
you're
yelling
I
mentioned
I'd
mentioned
Indians
with
the
or
right
now
that
you
know
we're
just
starting
the
outreach
process
and
and
right
now
things
we
don't
necessarily
have
too
many
irons
in
the
fire
there
to
make
any
decisions
about
whether
or
not
we're
gonna
need
supplemental
resources.
As
far
as
like
hiring
more
out
eighty
interns,
things
like
that.
