From YouTube: Kubernetes SIG ContribEx 20180102 Weekly Update Meeting
Description
Wednesdays @ 930am PT; 4th Weds at 8p PT
A
We
are
recording
so
welcome
to
the
contributor
experience
weekly
meeting
today
is
January,
2nd,
2019,
happy
New
Year
to
everyone,
and
today
we
will
so
Paris
and
the
other
leads
cannot
be
here
today,
so
I'm
filling
in
for
them.
I'm
gonna,
keep
them,
and
so
first
things.
First,
we
do
have
a
code
of
conduct,
so
please
remember
to
be
excellent
to
each
other's
and
do
we
have
any
new
contributors
on
the
call
who
would
like
to
introduce
themselves
I,
don't
really
see
anyone
new,
but
so
I
think
we
can
move
on
from
that.
A
A
Next
is
the
meter
contributor
session
and
Thoreau
said
she
needs
someone
for
9
p.m.
UTC
today.
If
anyone
of
you
would
like
to
volunteer
for
meet
our
contributors,
please
please
please
reach
out
to
Paris.
For
that
you
don't
need
to
be
like
a
regular
contributor,
it
could
even
be
a
new
contributor
and
you
could
share
about
your
experience
and
people
can
ask
you
questions
about
their
experience,
so
even
that
is
very
valuable
and
if
you
are
interested,
please
please
reach
out
to
her
next
is
the
community
meeting?
B
A
B
B
A
I
do
know
that
Edward
was
who
is
our
outreach,
a
student
he's
also
on
this
call.
He
was
working
on
the
developer
guide
updates,
so
he
has
created
an
umbrella
issue
on
the
kubernetes
community
reaper.
So
if
you
are
interested
in
that
piece,
please
check
it
out
and
if
you
have
anything
to
update
us
about
it
at
or
please
go
ahead.
D
Hi
everyone
happy
new
year,
yeah
I,
just
filed
the
issue
couple
of
minutes
long
and
the
only
thing
that
I
think
we
need
is
to
reach
a
consensus
about
the
skeleton
I
brought
there.
So
I
encourage
you,
you
have
to
go.
There
read
the
skeleton
and
just
if
give
me
some
ideas-
and
just
let
me
know
if
you
see
that
is
right
in
that
way
or
if
you
think
that
we
can
just
add
more
content,
just
comment.
The
issue
and
I
have
a
question.
There
are
a
couple
of
cocoa
issues
so
related
to
that.
A
I
think
we
can
close
them.
I
would
probably
like
give
it
a
few
days
before
closing
it.
So
I
decided,
I
was
thinking
of
the
same
thing
and
I
just
had
a
comment
there
asking
if
anyone
has
objections
about
closing
it,
and
we
should
probably
just
give
it
a
few
days
if
people
have
any
concerns
occurred,
let's
start
out
but
I
guess
it
should
be
safe
to
place.
A
D
So
the
first
thing
I
want
is
greet
the
skeleton
and
let
me
know
if
you
think
that
that
is
okay,
if
it
means
more
information.
Just
let
me
know,
and
second
is,
that
more
than
having
a
table
of
content
and
bunch
of
markdown
files
on
the
repo
I
just
want
to
create
a
real
guide,
something
that
has
content
on
it.
So
that's
why
the
skeleton
go.
There
check
the
issue
and
let
me
know
what
you
think.
A
A
E
B
A
Oh
I
realized
I,
didn't
assign
a
note-taker.
Then
there
is
someone
taking
notes
so
and
there's
Parris
writing
on
the
docks.
I,
don't
know
where
she's
coming
for
a
bit.
Okay,
I
do
see
the
part
of
the
board,
so
I'm
gonna
go
ahead
and
share
my
screen.
A
Joe
can
I
just
get
a
thumbs
up
or
something
all
right
cool.
Let's
start
with
completed
columns.
We
finally
kicked
off
speed,
mentoring
in
Japan
Seattle,
so
Kip
Khan
was
a
huge
success
and
we
had
an
amazing
amazing,
contributor
summit
and
Bob
and
GP
and
lots
of
other
people
giving
and
Josh
and
lots
of
other
people
have
helped
to
make
it
a
huge
success.
So
thank
you
for
that.
A
A
A
And
then
this
is
also
blocked
on
steering,
so
we
can't
move
ahead.
There
then,
moving
on
to
the
in
progress,
column,
I
think
the
computer
summit.
Should
we
wrap
that,
but
that
is
probably
wanted
to
add
a
few
more
details,
so
we'll
just
keep
it
open
for
now.
Sigelei
lifecycle
needs
to
be
documented.
I
have
no
idea
like
George.
Isn't
here
could
be
a
story,
so
I
wanted
to
add
a
point
on
that.
If
any
of
you
have
suggestions
about
codes
of
our
tours
for
code
bases
that
you'd
like
to
see.
A
A
C
A
And
then
we
had
the
whole
new
year
for
it
that's
cool.
Next
we
have
the
contributor
experience.
Survey
results,
that's
Paris.
This
is
Paris
as
well.
Zoom
license
holders
Paris
cleanup,
github
service
accounts;
I,
don't
think
we
have
any
updates
for
it
like
do
you
have
any
updates
on
the
service
accounts
issue.
A
The
Charter
is
in
progress
and
it's
being
reviewed
by
steering
right
now,
just
looking
over
at
the
backlog.
I
know
that
there
are
not
many
updates
on
these
issues,
but
we
have
a
welcome
plugin
install,
which
basically
commenced
with
a
custom
message
whenever
it
of
first
and
contributors
opens
a
PR
and
we
have
the
plug-in
ready
the
plugin
works
and
it's
also
enabled
a
test
and
flow
with
it.
A
Just
says:
hey
looks
like
this
is
your
first
PR
to
kubernetes,
but
we
have
to
come
up
with
a
proper
welcome
message,
template
and
this
has
been
open
since
September
last
year.
So
if
anyone
has
bandwidth
or
suggestions
about
what
they'd
like
to
see
in
the
welcome
template,
I
think
that
would
be
really
really
helpful
for
us.
So
this
is
open
and
it's
also
looking
for
more
contributors.
I
think
I'll
just
put
the
Help
Wanted
label
on
it.
A
A
A
E
Just
letting
folks
know
that
the
the
effort
that
we
were
putting
in
for
the
non
code,
contributor
based
guide,
has
effectively
stalled
back
with
Shanghai,
at
least
and
with
all
the
conferences
in
the
end
of
the
year
that
was
going
on
that
basically
got
put
on
hiatus.
We
were
giving
people
time
to
try
and
contribute
to
it,
but
very
few
people
contributed
to
it.
E
So
we're
gonna
pick
back
up,
there's
a
scheduled
meeting
for
us
to
talk
about
it
next
week
and
we're
going
to
pick
back
up
with
that
to
try
and
beat
the
shrubbery
as
it
were
and
drive
some
more
people
from
other
SIG's
and
other
groups
to
get
some
more
contribution
into
that
effort.
So
we'll
be
back
talking
about
that
again.
A
All
right,
thanks
for
the
update
and
yeah
I,
think
we
could
probably
overall
it
again,
and
there
is
a
new
year.
We
could
probably
try
it
again
now.
