From YouTube: K8s SIG Docs New Contributor Meet and Greet: March 2023
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Okay,
so
I
think
we
can
start
and
I've
hit
the
record
button
so
before
we
start
I
just
want
to
say
that
this
meeting
is
going
to
be
governed
by
the
cncf
code
of
conduct,
which
means
just
be
nice
to
each
other
and
be
polite,
which
I'm
sure
you
all
will
with
that
out
of
the
way.
Let's
get
started
like
this
is
the
monthly
call
be
host
for
new
contributors
to
sick
docs.
A
This
is
basically
a
call
for
people
who
have
just
started
contributing
to
you
know,
introduce
themselves
if
they
are
facing
any
troubles
ask
here
or
if
they
have
basically
any
kind
of
problems,
just
provide
them
a
platform
to
talk
and
introduce
themselves.
A
So
let's
first
do
that,
like
we
go
around
and
introduce
ourselves,
I'll
start
I'm
Marsh
I
work
at
a
small
startup
called
octeto,
which
creates
a
Dev
environments
based
on
kubernetes
I've,
been
contributing
to
the
open
source
kubernetes
project
for
like
about
two
years
now
my
primary
contributions
Tower
towards
Tech
talks
where
I
serve
as
the
new
contributor
ambassador.
B
Yeah
sure
this
is
I'm
contributing
from
time
to
time
to
various
projects,
I
measure
project
and
in
kubernetes
project
I
used
to
contribute.
The
dockersham
deprecation
was
happening
and
one
question
but
yeah
I
was
working
on
those
Docs,
so
yeah
looking
forward
for
more
contributions
to
the
dogs.
A
C
Yeah,
okay,
I'll
go
next
hi
everyone,
I'm
FICA
and
I'm;
a
computer
science
undergraduate
student
from
India
and
I
I'm,
passionate
about
communities,
open
source
and
hence
I
just
came
across
this
community
at
kubernetes.
I
went
to
the
repository
and
I'm
really
intrigued
about
what
the
work
you
are
doing.
So
I
was
quite
interested
in
contributing
in
this
community,
and
this
is
my
second
meeting
that
I've
attended
before
this
I
attended.
C
A
I'm
really
glad
you
found
this
call,
and
you
are
so
enthusiastic
about
contributing
to
answer
your
question
like
how
do
you
get
started
with
contributing?
Are
there
any
particular
areas
you
want
to
contribute
to,
or
do
you
just
want
to
like
get
started
with
contributing
to
the
project
in
general?.
A
So
the
kubernetes
community,
like
it's
a
vast
community,
so
it's
divided
into
different
groups,
which
we
call
like
special
interest
groups
short,
is
things
and
like
this
call
is
part
of
Saint
docs,
which
is
the
documentation
special
interest
group.
So
here
we
primarily
talk
about
like
contributing
to
the
documentation,
but
if
you
want
to
like
get
started
with,
you
know,
organizing
events
and
all
that
stuff
I
think
a
good
place
to
start
would
be
stake
contracts
which
is
contributor
experience
there.
A
If
you
keep
a
tab
on
the
discussions,
first
of
all,
have
you
joined
the
kubernetes
slack.
Yeah
I
did
join
this
level.
Okay,
okay,
so
the
you'll
find
the
sick
on
trebex
channel
just
join
that
and
keep
a
tab
on
the
conversations
which
keep
happening
there
or
just
reach
out
there
and
say
that
I'm
interested
in
contributing
to
things
related
to
contributors.
So
there
there
you'll,
find
Opportunities
to
you
know,
contribute
towards
like
events
and
other
such
things.
A
Order
to
yeah
yeah
just
keep,
checking
the
channel
and,
like
just
say,
hi
to
everyone.
They
they're
on
the
channel
just
drop
a
message
so
that
people
know
that
you
know.
There's
someone
out
there.
Who's
willing
to
you
know
help
with
events
and
that's
if
something
pops
up,
then
they
can.
You
know
reach
out
to
you.
B
A
A
D
A
D
Yeah
so
hello,
my
name
is
Muhammad
Imran
I'm
from
India
I'm,
basically
from
a
civil
engineering
background
and
I'm
working
in
a
non-tech
firm
right
now
and
I'm,
starting
my
devops
journey
like
since,
like
in
August,
2022
and
I'm
very
passionate
about
communities.
I've
started
my
own
Community
as
well
and
I'm
very
interested
in
like
documentation
contribution.
So
this
is
my
first
meeting
and
I've
recently
joined
the
community,
and
so
I
would
like
to
know
how
can
I
start
and
how
can
I
like
go
ahead
with
the
contributions?
A
A
So
I
think
there
are
many
Pathways
I'll
try
to
list
some
which
are
like
very
beginner
friendly.
So
first
of
all,
like
detox
group,
also
has
like
various
sub
projects.
So
one
of
the
sub
projects
is
like
the
localization
subproject,
which
wujin
mentioned
I.
Think
where
he's
contributing
in
helping
translate
the
docs
from
English
into
his
native
language.
A
So
you
can
check
that
out
and
like
that
would
be
a
good
starting
point,
because
I'll
involve
you
reading
the
talks
and
then
translating
them
into
any
language
you're
familiar
with,
and
all
of
these
localizations
have
a
separate
Sac
channel
so
like
if
you're
familiar
with
Hindi
There's
A,
Child,
Called,
kubernetes,
docs
h.
I
h
I
is
for
Hindi.
You
can
join
that
and
then
talk
with
people
there.
A
This
will
be
beneficial
for
you
as
well
as
you
are
learning,
because
this
will
involve
you
reading
the
documentation,
understanding
what
it
means
and
then
translating
it.
So
that's
a
easy
way
to
get
started,
one
of
the
easy
ways
to
get
started
with
contributions.
The
other
thing
is
just
looking
for
good,
first
issues
and
I'll
tail
where
you
can
find
those.
So
let
me
share
my
screen
for
that.
A
A
So,
if
you
go
to
issues
on
this
Repository,
you
can
choose
a
label
and
the
label
you
should
look
for
is
good
first
issue,
and
you
can
see
all
of
these
issues
that
are
good
for
this
issue,
which
means
like
they're
suitable
for
people
who
are
just
getting
started
with
their
contributor
journey
to
pick
up.
They
have
a
relatively
lower
barrier
for
entry,
so
you
can
try
picking
these
up
and
working
on
them
other
than
that.
A
I
would
advise
you
to
just
like
stay
active
in
the
channel,
like
in
the
slack
channel
for
sick
dogs
and
like
keep
a
check
on
whatever
issues
are
popping
up
and
just
like
volunteer,
because
the
first
step
is
like
volunteering
and
letting
people
know
that
you
are
there
to
help,
because
if
you
do
that,
then
and
sign
up
for
things,
people
will
come
around
and
you
know
help
you
drive
those
things
to
completion,
so
just
keep
a
check
on
the
slap
messages
and
whenever
you
feel
comfortable,
try
volunteering
for
help.
A
Cool,
so
now
that
we're
done
with
introductions,
I,
usually
like
to
you
know,
keep
the
second
half
of
this
call
and
just
to
introduce
something
which
is
happening
in
the
community
or
some
interesting
area
where
people
can
contribute
to,
and
one
of
the
things
which
has
been
like
being
talked
about.
A
Resort
in
the
community
is
the
migration
of
the
container
registry
from
gates.gci.io
to
to
registry.kates.io,
and
so
for
those
of
you
are
not
familiar
with,
like
kubernetes
images
like
we
used
to
push
them
to
this
registry
case.gci.io,
and
now
we
are
shifting
from
this
to
another
registry,
and
for
this,
like
people
need
some
help
and
the
way
you
can
help
is
by
you
know,
looking
all
the
like
all
the
places
where
the
old
URL
is
being
used
and
replacing
it
with
that.
A
But
if
you're
looking
to
help
in
an
area
specific
to
sick
dogs,
I
want
to
point
you
to
this
particular
slab
message
and
let
me
share
the
link
in
the
zoom
chat.
A
For
those
of
you
don't
know,
like
blogs,
is
also
one
of
the
sub
projects
of
the
documentation
special
interest
group
and
like
there
is
a
need
for
a
Blog
on
this
topic
like
there
is
a
Blog
for
this
topic
that
this
this
issue
is
being
frozen,
but
them,
if
you're
familiar
or
a
tool
which
you
know,
helps
scan
the
pods
or
deployments
running
on
a
cluster
which
are
using
the
old
URL
and
replacing
them
with
a
new
one.
A
So
just
about
this
tool
like
if
you
could
write
a
blog
about
this
contributor
blog
about
this,
that
would
be
very
helpful
and
you
can
the
thread
I
posted
in
the
link.
You
can
go
there
and
say
that
you
want
to
help
writing
with
the
blog
and
I'm
sure
people
would
you
know
if
you
understand
the
tool
better
and
get
started.
A
So
anything
would
help
like
if
you
write
about
it
on
your
own
platform
and
you
can
share
it
with
others,
anything
which
helps
spread
the
word
to
the
broader
community
that
we
are
migrating
helps,
but
if
the
blog
is
like
good
and
like
people
really
find
it
useful,
we
can
also
have
it
on
like
the
kubernetes
website
like
if
you
see
there's
a
Blog
section
here.
The
blog
can
also
go
here,
and
this
this
is
the
second
step.
A
Yeah,
so
that
was
something
I
wanted
to
bring
up.
We
can
use
like
the
last
few
minutes
in
case
anyone
has
any
questions.
A
Okay,
so.
C
A
I
think
I'm
unable
to
understand
the
audio
Could
you
type
it
out.
That
would
be
best.
C
A
Migration,
so
this
URL
migration
isn't
really
a
key
Focus
for
sick
dogs
but
Focus
for
the
entire
kubernetes
project
in
general.
So
this
is
something
like
every
single
is
like
being
nudged
towards,
like
you
know,
helping
out
with
this,
but
it
isn't
something
sick,
talk,
specific.
A
All
right
like,
if
you
have,
if
anyone
has
any
questions
like
you,
can
ask
otherwise
we
can
give
people
five
minutes
of
their
time
back
and
in
the
call
early.
