Description
Kubernetes SIG Windows 20170221
A
I
hi
everyone.
This
is
another
instance
of
the
windows
sig
meeting
for
the
coup
Venegas
project,
so
we'll
start
those
some
quick
status
updates
and
I'll
give
the
update
from
the
aprender
perspective
and
then
move
on
to
other
folks
that
have
an
update
so
on
on
our
end,
or
we
have
a
few
different
parallel
efforts
are
going
on
and
the
first
one
is
we're:
creating
the
documentation
to
set
up
a
demo
environment.
B
A
The
Alphabeat
on
the
Google
compute
engine
and
that's
something
when
I
utilize
for
our
Google
next
presentation,
where
the
seat
gets
to
be
highlighted
in
one
of
the
windows
sessions
and
look
at
registration
of
the
work
we
have
done
so
far.
Specifically
some
of
the
demo
would
be
very
similar
to
the
one
who
did
that
to
be
con
in
Seattle.
The
second
one
we're
working
on
is
there's
a
couple
of
PRS
that
came
through
one
come
early
from
Microsoft
around
dns
server
support
for
kooban,
a
DS.
A
If
you
guys
remember
when
we
did
our
alpha,
one
of
the
things
that
was
missing
was
dinner
search.
So
any
time
you
wanted
to
address
a
DNS
object
from
windows,
server
container,
so
from
kinder
container
he
had
to
provide
their
fully
qualified
domain
name.
So
Microsoft
has
worked
to
create
a
PR
that
would
enable
us
to
to
streamline
the
DMS
search
support
that
PR
is
still
under.
Review.
A
The
other
thing
that's
going
on
is
precious
also
working
with
the
folks
from
cloud-based
to
create
a
no
viendo
vs
capability
for
the
networking
stuff
within
windows.
Several
containers,
primarily
the
things
that
they're
working
on,
is
to
create
an
installer
and
most
of
the
work
there
is
being
done
by
cloud-based
and
that
installer
will
you
to
set
up
all
the
necessary
components
of
Cooper
Navy's
for
windows.
That's
the
cube!
A
Let
the
key
proxy
as
well
as
should
have
been
necessary
networking
to
allow
you
to
create
the
network
connectivity
between
the
cube
led
the
ti
manager
around
the
other
components
of
communities,
and
we
don't
have
a
specific
date
for
that,
but
it
looks
like
they're
getting
close
on
that
on
that
work
from
from
one
other
thing.
I
want
to
mention
that
is
cloud-based
does
have
plans
to
open
source.
The
Installer
good
I
mentioned
earlier.
So
all
of
that
work
is
going
to
be
part
of
the
community.
A
The
last
thing
that
we're
working
on
and
haven't
made
a
lot
of
progress
yet
lately
is
to
have
internet
access
within
the
container.
Microsoft
has
produced
a
PR
on
this,
but
doesn't
look
like
it's
going
to
meet
the
needs
of
of
our
work
here,
so
I
think
that
PR,
at
least
initially
was
not
approved
so
still
looking
to
find
alternatives
for
providing
internet
connectivity
inside
the
container
save
you
have
an
app
that
acquires
to
go
and
access
external
resources
outside
of
communities.
This
is
the
work
that
would
enable
that.
A
We
don't
have
a
fork
from
a
Penta.
We
only
have
the
main
kooban
a
DS
repossessor.
They
went
into
main,
so
we
had
a
plan
that
do
not
maintain
any
for
all.
Our
challenges
are
always
ups
tuned.
Ok,
so
I
want
to
check
out
that
I
can
I'm,
as
in
the
main
repository
yeah.
Absolutely
so
there
you
go
to.
If
you
actually
go
to
the
sig
windows.
A
D
A
So
I
have
good
news
or
bad
news
on
this.
The
the
goodness
is
that
there
is
so
sore
so
that
the
native
overlays
driver
was
one
of
the
gaps
that
we
outlined.
Microsoft
I
wanna
start
working
on
this
and
they
started
working
to
address
right
away.
So
the
goal
here
is
that
the
first
motive
for
dr.
Swann-
they
have
a
good
partnership
with
dr.
in
this
case,
and
essentially
there
is
plans
to
provide
the
same
functionality
on
windows
server
in
terms
of
that
10
times
and
dates
dates
and
more
information.
A
I
am
bound
by
NBA
rules
and
I
can't
disclose
this
to
the
sig.
I
am
very
deeply
involved
with
Microsoft
and
a
couple
of
other
companies
on
the
networking
aspect.
As
part
of
a
working
group,
I
am
a
member
of
Windows
insiders.
I
spent
over
12
years
on
microsoft
as
a
principal
architect,
so
I
was
able
to
get
into
an
insider's
group
that
have
access
to
to
some
indications
with
content.
A
D
E
A
So
it's
like
that
is
one
overlay
Network
right,
so
the
second
overlay
Network
that
would
be
possible
for
us
to
label
is
the
one
through
ovn
and
obvious
to
work.
That
pitch
is
working
on
peace.
Just
joined
us
right
now
as
well,
so
that
work
is
also
very
promising.
So
we
will
have
two
parallel
streams
of
different
networking
stuff
that
would
enable
us
to
create
things
like
log
container,
more
networking,
the
ability
to
add
containers
into
an
overlay
and
and
and
and
and
protect
internal
space
than
a
working
traffic.
A
So
both
solutions
would
enable
that
the
OVA,
no
obvious,
has
a
couple
more
benefits.
The
fact
that
you
can
create
an
overlay
network
that
spans
between
linux
and
windows,
while
the
windows,
one
would
just
be
primarily
for
windows,
although
there
is
there,
is
work
that
that
companies,
like
you
know
tiger
and
others
are
probably
going
to
take
two
to
do
similar
things
to
Vienna
vs.
That
will
enable
that
capability
in
a
hybrid
environment
of
Windows
and
Linux
a.
A
Fish
I
gave
I,
gave
your
update
on
ova
non-obvious
earlier,
and
we
talked
a
little
bit
about.
You
know
some
of
the
we
don't
have
any
Microsoft
folks
here
on
the
call,
but
I
talked
about
some
of
the
reservations
you
had
on
their
PRS.
I
came
in
and,
and
peter
is
gonna,
take
a
look
at
them
as
well.
Yeah.
F
So
if
you
want
my
opinion
on
that
that
when
you
get
merged
not
just
a
relaxing
those
changes,
I
don't
see
that
you're
an
addict
people,
particularly
significant
treatment
people
accepting
those
changes
as
they
are.
I
actually
believe
the
changes
to
to
the
crew
blaze.
The
revival
a
compressible,
the
pitcher
Burnett
ease
of
the
way
we
do
networking
for
containers
for
the
solution
of
having
two
networks
in
a
container
I,
don't
see
it
going
through,
but
I,
don't
know
again
we
as
a
Brenda.
F
F
F
A
A
Then
I
don't
have
any
other
updates
from
from
a
chicken
up-and-up
respect,
yeah
I
know
some
of
you
guys
probably
saw
some
of
the
blog
post
that
came
out
of
microsoft
today
about
communities
being
generally
available
on
other
container
service
and
providing
us
a
preview
of
the
windows.
Server
containers
work,
as
you
all
know,
that
part
of
the
cig,
this
work
came
out.
One
hundred
percent
out
of
the
cheek
and
that's
work
that
you
know
purush
and
Jeju
and
a
few
other
folks.
B
Have
a
question
about
know
where
I
haven't
I've
been
because
of
the
sort
of
the
past
conflict
with
signode
and
the
cygwin
those
meetings,
I'm
sort
of
a
little
out
of
the
loop,
but
a
few
months
ago,
one
of
the
problems
with
the
windows
implementation
for
networking
was
that
UDP
basically
wasn't
working.
These
are
ASTC
eyes.
Looking
at
that
PR
you
just
posted,
it
seemed
like
there
is
UDP
support.
Now
cuz,
I
mentioned,
like
you
doing,
q
proxies
like
the
dns
sofia,
q
proc,
like
the
rewriting
of
the
queries
play
in
q
proxy.
A
So
the
Microsoft
folks
will
have
you
to
be
support
as
part
of
the
azure
container
service,
like
page
mentioned
earlier,
that
PR
will
not
pass
the
sniff
test
so
likely
will
not
be
merged.
Our
goal
for
UDP
and
as
well
as
TCP
support
will
be
the
work
that
we're
doing
20,
VN
and
0
vs.
So
you
get
a
2
networking
stack
that
would
allow
for
full
network
connectivity
between
containers,
inbound
and
outbound.
So
so
that's
our
real
solution
not
necessary
that
PR.
Ok,.
B
A
Not
in
that
current
installation
with
the
poor
proxy
that
that
we
did
that
that
that
solution
would
not
be
stable
enough
for
us,
or
at
least
not
yeah,
it's
called
an
odd
idea,
I'm
also
what
we
talked
about
earlier.
The
question
that
I'm
with
the
heart
with
the
native
overlay
support
on
Microsoft
will
provide
when
that
comes
in.
That
would
also
be
another
alternative
for
providing
UDP
class
TTP
support
across
the
board.
Ok,.
F
Yeah,
even
so,
it
wasn't
internet
for
the
code,
words
in
a
good
shape
and
was
about
to
emerge.
The
solution
is
actually
a
knack.
Even
Microsoft
old
is
not
to
use
meta
face
or
for
proxy
that
we
should
go
with
different
solutions,
but
those
solutions
are
not
in
place
or
easily
accessible
to
someone
implementing
this
code.
So
I
personally,
I
have
a
lot
of
faith
in
OEM
solution,
because
we
as
support
faithful,
fart
bowling
and
allen,
is
on
the
call.
You
can
share
more
details
on
that.
F
G
So
I
can
provide
model
information
about
the
topic.
Basically,
a
portable
vias
2.5,
which
is
actually
a
beaut
feature,
was
actually
moving
the
contact
bit.
It's
a
familiar
with
linux
and
iptables
actually
moving
the
contract
modules
inside
obvious.
So
basically,
what
you
could
do
is
to
cheney
and
all
of
the
type
like
ICMP,
UDP,
TCP,
stpp,
less
naughty.
Naughty
is
actually
available
by
that
currently
on
windows
on
of
years,
which
support
to
all
ports,
effort
and
inert,
which
is
actually
part
of
the
2.7
of
effort,
which
should
be
out
in
a
couple
of
months.
A
Yeah
and
one
of
the
things
we'll
do
it
when,
when
the
team
is
finalized,
is
a
good
demo
environment
of
the
Nov
s
will
probably
do
a
demo
for
the
community
to
showcase
installer
get.
You
know,
cloud-based
to
be
fun
and
center
of
all
the
work
that
they
did
here
along
with
fish
as
well,
and
then
given
a
forum
for
every
way
to
ask
questions
and
deep
dive
into
the
networking
aspects
of
that
solution
and
obviously
will
a
smaller
version
of
that
demo
at
Google.
Next,
to
showcase
it
to
the
Masters.
G
Recording
the
Installer
we
actually
changed
all
perspective.
We
originally
planned
to
put
it
everything
inside,
though
here's
installer,
which
isn't
such
a
good
idea,
because
usually
an
installer
is
atomically
performing
the
idea
would
be.
We
would
like
to
contribute
an
installer
directly
to
the
component.
Is
repository
I,
don't
know
if
you
have
something
in
place
for
building
RPM,
so
that
sort
of
something
yeah
they.
F
Do
have
packages
for
certain
linux
distribution
so,
as
we
mentioned,
as
we
debated
yesterday
and
I,
haven't
get
past
this
to
Michael
McClure
and
you
want
to
twist
a
friend,
but
this
is
this
place
to
bring
it
up.
They
follow
right
now
that
we're
using
that
the
cult
based
guys
are
49.
It
is
open
source,
so
it
is
also
yes
and
all
that
and
then
we're
running
a
partial
twist
to
basically
instrument
of
the
OBS
part
and
dr.,
and
all
that
and
sets
up
everything.
F
The
last
step
is
to
have
the
cuban
any
components
and
register
them
a
service
and
faces
on
certain
deeper
races
right
now.
One
of
the
things
we're
doing
we're
heading
is
new,
for
this
demo
is
the
so
securing
the
traffic
between
the
kinetics
components,
btls,
which
is
something
we
haven't
done
before,
and
and
those
things
need
real
changes
to
how
your
provisions
of
rule
it
and
put
proxy-
and
this
is
the
dollar
that
Alan
is
referring
to.
F
So
it
would
be
a
new
thing
to
have
from
the
sea
windows
to
the
two
bananas
project,
which
became
where
we
can
have
an
excelent
a
this
is
I
want
to
install
the
cruise
and
crude
product,
and
these
are
like
the
parameter.
If
I
won
this,
is
the
network
brothers
node
or
whatever,
and
just
have
it
configured
automatically
like
a
fun
and
click
experience
for
windows,
which
would
be
amazing,
but
right
now
it's
really.
It's
really
simplified
included
to
the
call
waveguide,
the
installation,
gossip
on
windows
right
now,
it's
simply
been
on
being.
A
So
once
you
guys
fix
without
the
p
connectivity,
obviously
I
will
be
a
huge
boost,
but
but
yeah
I
mean
that
that
we
can
put
that
in
there
in
the
works
as
an
item
and
once
you
free
up
some
cycles,
the
biggest
things
run.
I
should
demonstrate
the
validity
of
these
work
right
and
make
sure
they
work
one
hundred
percent.
Once
we
do
that,
I
think
you
find
out
of
box
experience
and
make
it
easier
for
people
to
consume
that
that
that
would
be
the
next
step.
But
you
can
go
to
bed
without
having
that.
A
F
F
G
A
G
Not
looking
so
it's
not
necessarily
needed
that
it
would
be
to
have
an
installer.
For
example.
I
know
you
want
to
w
get
an
emissary
from
the
internet
or
you
just
click
it
to
select
which
kuva
native
components
do
you
want
to
deploy
on
a
supra
note,
for
example
the
Google
Earth,
the
coop,
Roxy
and
so
on
and
so
forth,
and
then
half
pages
how
to
set
it
up.
A
Should
have
a
more
templates
with
some
of
the
components
preset,
I'm
not
sure
if
we
were
publishes
any
of
that,
definitely
not
for
windows,
because
their
licensing
implications
to
copying
a
template
like
that.
So
in
most
cases
you
probably
have
to
set
up
start
to
the
vm
and
audio
component
yourself.
I,
don't
know
for
linux,
kill
Lou
Caputo.
If
you.
G
G
A
We're
looking
for
images
that
have
whether
windows
and
linux
I
have
some
pre-built
and
baked
into
the
image
some
of
the
key
components
of
communities
so
that
when
you're
setting
up
you,
you
have
all
of
these
components
already
there
and
available.
So
you
can
simplify
and
speed
up
the
deployment
you
guys
have
that
on
Google
compute
engine
we.
D
A
D
Working
on
a
better
solution,
it's
sort
of
an
apartheid
state,
so
we
can't
really
talk
a
lot
about
it.
Well,
on
how
you
know
we
can
kind
of,
we
do
have
our
drivers
as
well
as
our
agent
sort
of
open
source.
So
you
know
you
could
kind
of
cover
it
together,
but
licensing
would
be
a
block,
but
I'll
put
the
instructions
are
for
linux,
which
I
think
is
a
possibility.
Excellent.
