Kubernetes SIG Windows 20200609
A
Hello,
everybody
and
welcome
to
another
sick
windows
meeting
it's
the
9th
of
June
today
and
remember
this
a
recorded
meeting.
So
please
always
adhere
to
the
CN
CF
code
of
conduct,
hopefully
everybody's
having
a
good
day
and
and
you're
able
to
stay
productive
and
insane
in
this
climate.
That's
happening
around
the
world.
A
A
I
felt
like
we
always
been
operating
with
sin,
CF
code
of
conduct
and
standards
in
place
so,
but
if
you
feel
like
were
or
not
being
probably
respectful
or
in
any
way
could
improve,
just
let
us
know
all
right
cool.
Let's
talk
a
little
bit
about
our
agenda
here
and
what
do
you
have
today?
So
the
first
one
is,
we
know
you
want.
You
go
ahead,
yeah
the
request
here
for
some
reviews,
yeah.
B
B
A
So
so
so
you
know,
I,
guess,
David,
Indonesian
and
and
that
team
couldn't
can
help
you
on
that.
But
I
think
the
first
thing
that
that
needs
to
happen.
You
probably
need
to
put
it
to
their
agenda
and
attend
the
next
Signet
work
meeting
and
then
you
and
David
can
work
together
to
to
get
that
approved.
I
think
that's!
D
We
wanted
to
give
a
little
bit
of
an
update
for
continued
D
I
think
this
is
kind
of
an
interesting
feature
in
kubernetes,
because
some
of
the
work
requires
fixes
to
the
Windows
OS
and
it's
hard
to
kind
of
share
that
or
convey
that
status
with
folks
here,
I
think
for
for
1.19
I.
Think
there
is
one
thing
that
I
am
concerned
might
be
at
risk
for
going
to
beta
here,
and
that
is
GMS
a
support.
Its
container
D
I
think
most
was
also
looking
into
that.
D
But
I
know
that
there
was
work
done
in
the
HCS
shim
to
pass
in
all
the
required
fields
to
the
v2
HS
API
in
and
I
think
I
have
the
sum
of
the
PRS
linked
in
the
issue,
but
there
are
other
issues
that
came
up
after
that.
That
folks
are
still
investigating
was.
Were
you
able
to
get
a
little
bit
more
status
on
that.
E
Yes,
so
I
was
I
was
working
with
the
way
that
were
in
this
team
in
the
HTS
team.
So
basically
the
status
is
I
think
we
understand
the
problem
where
it's
coming
and
why
the
credits
are
not
getting
passed
all
the
way
through,
but
we,
as
of
last
night,
was
still
investigating
my
gut
feeling
and
and
talking
to
the
developers
is.
We
should
be
very
close
so
sometimes
this
week
it
should
get
resolved
because
I
think
they
understand
the
issue,
but
we
still
don't
have
a
resolution
as.
E
E
E
A
D
D
That
is
just
the
container
D
executable
I
set
up
a
github
actions,
some
CI
in
another
project
that
bundles
HTS
are
builds
from,
like
master
on
a
daily
basis,
container
de
HDS
Jim
and
cry
ctrl
and
ctrl
Z.
So
we
can
use
that
to
test
pretty
get
confirmation.
If
you
need
Moz
but
yeah,
it
would
be
good
if
I
think
the
container
D
1.4
is
planning
on
releasing
pretty
soon.
If
this.
D
E
About
it,
okay,
so
I,
let
me
yeah,
let
me
sync
up
with
you
real
quick
kevin
is
working
on
it.
He
was
working
on
a
PR
to
push
it
upstream.
Let
me
make
sure
that
if
that
PR
goes
in,
you
know
we
were
able
to
come
like
we
should
be
able
to
consume,
and
the
second
thing
is,
as
I
said
like
they're
so
far,
we
are
not
anticipating
any
us
changes,
but
if
the
fix
does
require
I'll,
let
you
know
okay,.
D
We
were
hoping
to
close
with
container
d
we're
support
for
single
file,
mappings,
which
single
file
mounts,
which
will
enable
remapping
of
the
hosts
file
and
also
enable
support
for
the
termination
effort,
yeah,
pod
termination
messages,
I
believe
that
that
requires
an
OS
fix,
which
is
in
the
process
of
being
back
ported
and
hopefully
will
be
available
in
the
August
security
patches
that
still
on
track.
For
that
much,
you
know
yes,.
E
A
Date
so
I
have
a
question
on
that,
so
kubernetes
gonna
ship
in
early
August
right
and
then
if
the
security
patch
doesn't
come
until
after
that
would
be
able
to
validate
that
this
works
or,
like
you
know
when
the
West
patch
comes
in
and
your
code
is
already
in
it
will
just
work
like
you
know
like.
What's
the
handshake
here
between
the
two
so
I
believe.
E
D
D
D
What
the
GMs
a
support,
fakes,
I,
think
most
of
that
support
will
be
there.
I
know
that
there
were
a
couple
of
other
issues
reported
and
we
have
github
issues
for
them
in
the
company's
project.
Around
potentially
slow
container
polls.
I
think
we're
just
going
to
need
to
continue
to
investigate
that
separately,
but
I
guess
we
were
wondering
if
the
TMS
a
fix
comes
in.
Is
there
any?
Does
anybody
have
any
concerns
about
moving
continue,
D
to
kind
of
beta
status
for
Windows
nodes,
I?
Think.
A
D
Then
one
other
thing
is
the
the
CI
signal
for
the
azure
jobs
with
container
D
are
mostly
green,
except
for
a
couple
of
known
issues
which
are
also
failing
in
our
master
branch.
We've
noticed
that
some
of
the
GCE
jobs
are
gke,
jobs
are
a
little
bit
more
red.
Is
there
Peter
or
you
are
you
the
right
people
to
kind
of
work
with
offline,
to
figure
out
where
the
disparities
are
and
maybe
clean
the
help
clean
that
up
like
we
can
up
clean
that
up?
You.
G
Know
we
can
try
to
help
clean
things
up.
My
I
know.
My
expectation
from
the
past
was
that
the
slow
container
poles
were
a
big
part
of
the
problem.
I
don't
know
if
they
were
the
entire
problem,
but
we
can
I
haven't
checked
on
those
jobs
in
a
while,
so
yeah
we
can
take
a
closer
look
and
try
to
clean
things
up.
Okay,.
A
A
C
Elise
gets
routed
to
the
right
part
instance,
and
this
feature
exists
already
on
linux.
In
fact,
I
think
there's
some
test
passes
that
test
this
behavior
that
already
enabled
on
linux,
but
currently
blocked
on
this
feature
being
supported
on
windows
and
we're
naming
we're
enabling
it
on
windows
for
a
1.19.
So
let
me
show
you
the
pr
that
was
merged
last
week,
just
for
tracking.
C
For
that
I
added
a
table
there
kind
of
outlining
some
of
the
other
service
flags
that
we
have
like
DSR
and
Preserve
dip
and
those
things
I
try
to
outline
in
a
table
so
I'm
looking
for
reviews.
Unfortunately,
this
feature
for
session
affinity
did
require
platform
changes,
so
it's
only
available
on
windows.
Insider
builds,
I
can
paste
that
in
chat
as
well
or
the
latest
one
or
the
earliest
one.
That
I
should
say
that
has
this
feature
is
built.
H
C
One
and
yeah
there's
no
plans
of
backporting
this
feature
yet
because
I
haven't
heard
of
anyone
requesting
it
yet
so
I'm
looking
for
I
guess
guidance
from
the
community.
If
this
is
a
feature
that
should
be
back
ported
to
older
OS
releases,
this
wall
that
have
been
released
already
over
if
it
shouldn't
be.
A
C
A
A
C
A
Mean
I
added
it
here,
so
it
like
you
know
once
we
start
talking
about
it,
you
know
we're
gonna
have
to
be
Khan
in
the
summer
right.
So
we're
gonna
talk
about
the
new
features
that
119
will
have.
You
know
container
d,
QB
DM
cluster
API
any
of
the
work
that's
happening.
There
then
I
work
in
enhancements
this
one.
So
when
we
talk
about
it,
all
here
will
compile
all
the
community
if
this
is
gonna
have
an
impact
and
if
they
need
it
and
obviously
provide
that
data
to
you,
yeah.
A
Next
item
is
I
know
how
many
of
you
guys
and
gals
are
aware
of
project
country--I.
It's
a
CNI
for
kubernetes.
It's
started
at
VMware,
but
it's
for
your
open
source.
They
just
added
windows,
supporting
the
release,
end
of
May.
It
doesn't
have
support
from
the
word
policies,
but
there's
their
release.
That's
coming
out.
0.8
a
release
is
gonna,
come
out
at
the
end
of
end
of
June
early
July.
A
You
will
have
network
policy
support,
so
this
is
huge
right,
so
the
0.7
release
so
ten
days
ago.
You
know
this
year
that
it
has
support
for
Windows
nodes.
So
it's
alpha
support,
but
it's
still
great
it's.
It's
a
simple
CNI
fast,
easy
to
easy
to
configure
it's
built
on
top
of
a
lot
of
the
work
that
happened
at
cloud
base.
So
thank
you
cloud
base,
for
you
know,
paving
the
road
for
a
lot
of
the
OVS
ovn
work
that
happen
across
many
different
communities.
A
So
VMware
is
gonna
actually
also
have
support
for
Windows
notes
for
NSX
tea
as
well,
which
are
enterprise,
class
networking,
CNI
for
for
cloud
native
environments
and
kubernetes
as
well.
So
so
you're
gonna
hear.
Then
a
sixty
support
with
Windows,
that's
going
to
be
GA
and
then
project
entre
will
have
has
alpha
support
for
Windows.
So
a
lot
of
good
things
happening
on
the
network
in
front.
Explain
Congrats.
I
I'm
basically
talking
about
this
common
network
iris,
the
first
item
there,
so
there
are
three
proposed
to
walk
around,
and
so
the
best
way,
of
course,
is
the
DSR
and
for
the
Nandi
I
saw
there
are
two
other
recommendations,
but
I'm
wondering
so.
If
we
to
know
how
the
Isar
I
think
the
way
to
know
how
it
yes
are
available
generally
right,
it's.
C
It's
right
now,
it's
hard
to
ensure
you
have
the
latest
accumulative
updates,
since
there
was
a
fixed
air
that
reduces
the
load
kind
of
on
under
stress
on
a
network
system,
so
make
sure
you
have
the
latest
KB
installed.
Are
the
latest
one?
Has
this
changes
in
it
that
will
make
sure
that
the
fewer
ports
are
being
used
and
then,
on
top
of
this,
also
applied
a
workaround
of
increasing
the
default
Windows
configuration
of
available
ephemeral
ports?
I
I
H
A
C
I
I
C
I
C
G
C
I
I
I
A
You,
since
you're,
almost
out
of
time,
if
you
don't
mind,
can
you
please
post
on
the
sick
windows
channel
and
tag
David
on
that,
and
then
you
guys
can
follow
up
on
Loveline.
But
you
know
I
completely
agree
with
David.
You
know,
let's
get
the
customer
use
case
here
for
this.
Well,
that's
them
running
out
of
addresses
or
if
it's
something
else,
it's
good
they
use
kiss
down,
and
then
they
will
come
make
a
compelling
case
back
to
Microsoft.
If
there's
a
need
here
and
can
solve
it
through
other
means.
Okay,.
