Description
Kubernetes SIG Windows 20181218
A
Everybody
and
welcome
to
another
sick
windows
Meetup.
Thank
you
guys,
all
for
attending.
You
know
we
had
Cuban
on
last
week's,
so
I
canceled
the
meeting.
Hopefully
nobody
tried
to
join
us
and
and
couldn't
find
anybody
online,
and
it
was
actually
awesome
to
see
a
lot
of
you
guys
also
in
person
that
Cuba
Kahn's
Patrick,
deep
Robert
ban,
Leia
and
and
a
few
others.
A
So
thank
you
guys
all
for
for
showing
up
some
of
you
guys
were
there
for
Patrick's
session
and
let
him
share
some
of
the
details,
and
some
of
you
guys
were
there
for
the
joint
session
that
me
and
Patrick
did
overall,
at
least
for
our
joint
session
we
had
about
40
or
so
folks.
It
was.
We
allow
interest
on
windows,
obviously
reinforcing
our
efforts
that
have
been
putting
on
the
seek
and-
and
we
solicited
also
some
help
here
and
there
to
help
us
so
moving
towards
GA
particular
wanna
talk
a
little
about
your
session.
B
Yeah
my
session
went
pretty
well
basically
Jessica
Dean
who's,
one
of
the
developer
had
Cod
developer
advocates
at
Microsoft
and
I
put
together
a
couple
of
different
things.
But
what
was
interesting
in
this
session
was
this.
This
is
the
first
time
I
had
tried
using
a
new
service,
that's
designed
for
delivering
classroom
labs
and
so
I
had
a
whole
bunch
of
VMs
pre-configured,
with
Cube
control,
visual
studio
and
all
of
that
stuff.
There.
The
scripts
I
used
to
actually
set
those
VMs
up
are
in
that
same
repo.
B
If
you
need
them,
but
it
was
nice
because
I
had
a
whole
bunch
of
people,
you
know
get
their
hands
dirty,
trying
kubernetes
out
on
Windows,
and
so
you
know,
I
had
that.
Had
everybody
you
first
deploy
something
based
off
of
an
image
should
already
pushed
a
docker
hub.
I
was
using
an
asp.net
web
service
and
Microsoft
sequel
server,
our
Linux
backhand.
B
They've
got
something
that
that
can
create
template
code,
really
really
easy
and
I,
and
then
I
used
draft,
which
is
the
tool
that
will
automatically
create
you
at
docker
file
and
helm
chart.
So
then
you
can
just
read
over
and
draft
up
and
it
will
deploy,
and
so
we
had
that
work
on
the
same
cluster
and
as
far
as
I
could
tell
everybody
that
that
tried
it
out,
got
it
working
so
so
that
would
that
was
very
good
yeah.
B
A
There
was
sincere
interest
of
having
so
many
windows
were
closed
out
there
and
having
to
have
an
orchestra
like
kubernetes
to
place
them
on
is
so
but
important
to
them.
Obviously,
I
love.
The
interest
is
coming
from
IT
operators
and
IT
admins.
Not
all
of
those
guys
can
code,
so
the
contribution
they
can
make
to
our
sig
are
not
huge.
The
factor
that
interested
in
this
is
giving
us
the
customer
voice
to
help
us
go
and
get
this
approved
for
GA.
A
A
Potentially,
you
can
look
into
some
other
smaller
enhancements
here
and
there,
but
you
know
the
very
fact
of
the
matter
remains
that
you
need
to
get
our
tests
in
order
and
we
need
to
get
the
cam
approved
and
another
been
layer.
You
know
have
started,
they
kept
blueprint.
So
I'll,
you
know,
I
will
contribute
to
that
as
well
and
we'll
get
it
ready
so
that
as
soon
as
the
holidays
are
over,
we
go
in
front
of
all
the
different
seeks
and
get
them
to
approve
this.
Okay.
A
B
A
A
B
B
D
B
A
A
B
A
Things
I'm
not
sure
how
much
they
hold
that
in
high
regard
or
not
so
so,
they're,
you
know
flipping
the
other
side.
Do
all
of
the
SIG's.
Have
the
capability.
You
invest
some
time
in
understanding
what
do
this
or
proposing
for
Windows
with
114
and
approving
it
and
putting
into
their
schedule.
That's.
E
A
They
would
deny
us
now
but
later
on,
we'll
have
that
veto
power
on
new
features
that
they're
bringing
in
if
they
test
them
or
Windows
or
not
and
being
as
more
sick
that
we
are,
we
don't
have
the
option
to
do
the
testing
on
ourselves.
They
have
to
do
it.
So
that's
that's
a
very
interest
thing
to
consider,
but
you
know
my
major
feeling
is
nothing's
gonna
happen
in
the
last
week's
of
this
year,
so
you
know
it's
our
responsibility
to
to
basically
modify
the
the
cap
and
get
it
in
a
good
state.
D
B
I
think
that
makes
sense
some
unrelated
note.
There
I
also
sent
my
summary
after
the
conformance
working
group
meeting
to
the
Google,
Group
and
I.
Have
that
linked
in
the
notes
there
too
so,
but
that
the
key
point
there
is
that
you
know
they
still
are
very
interested
in
seeing
the
results
for
the
windows
tests,
and
so
the
fact
that
we
have
test
grid
up
and
running
is
is
great.
Now,
we've
got
to
make
sure
that
we
continue
adding
more
tests
to
that
and
get
that
you
know
consistently.
B
A
Really
good
that
their
conformance
was
pushed
out
even
one
more
release
out
now,
right,
initially,
they
pushed
the
other
115
as
I
pushed
out
of
114
as
well.
So
that
that's
good,
do
you
have
any
statistics
on
how
many
tests
are
passing
right
now
that
should
be
passing
on
Windows
or
how
many
are
not
passing
when
they
should
not
be
passing.
C
C
C
D
C
A
D
A
Seeing
some
guestbook
issues
and
some
DNS
failures
so
out
of
the
159
tests
that
are
applicable
to
Windows
so
on
air.
Before
we
go
GA
we
need
to
be
able
to
say:
there's
159
tests,
they're
gonna
be
tagged
as
Windows,
based
on
their
conformance
email
that
sorry,
based
on
the
email
that
Patrick
posted
on
on
our
cig
group.
How
many
of
them
aren't
passing
today
green,
consistently.
C
A
C
A
Okay,
yeah
I,
look
forward
to
seeing
go
happens
with
719
and
if
we
kind
of
leave
me
some
of
the
flakes
on
the
timeout,
the
tests
running
so
Patrick
I,
guess
you
once
we
do
that
then
we'll
be
ready
to
kind
of
declare
the
testing
part
to
be
ready
for
you
to
start.
There's
a
commutation
law
aspect
of
it.
Well,.
B
So
I
was
going
to
start
from
the
list
of
test
cases
that
we
expect
to
be
green
first,
but
I
think
one
of
the
other
points
that
we
need
to
look
at
is
so
that's
just
based
off
of
the
conformance
test
which,
which
was
you
know,
the
original
strategy
that
we
had
talked
about
for
testing
windows.
The
the
current
concerns
are
more
about
the
overall
quality
for
windows,
and
so
I
think
there
that
once
we
review
this
list
of
test
cases
plus
what's
skipped,
there
are
probably
some
gaps
that
we
need
to
fill
with.
B
C
B
A
E
E
B
We
would
mark
it
as
a
windows
feature
test.
It
would
not
necessarily
be
a
conformance
test,
okay
and
if
the
way
we'd
probably
want
to
run
that
is
either
running
it
in
a
separate
cluster
and
then
uploading
the
results
directly
to
test
grid,
because
we
can
create
new
key
new
categories
over
there
under
sig
windows.
So
if
we
wanted
to
have
one
for
like
optional
windows
tests,
we
could
do
that.
B
If
we
want
them
to
be
released
blocking,
and
so
my
preference
would
be,
we've
run
those
on
a
on
a
less
frequent
basis
and
make
sure
that
you
know
the
city
is
responsible
for
Tet
for
checking
those
test
results
and
raising
issues.
You
know
during
you
know
the
alpha
and
beta
releases
and
getting
those
fixed
early,
rather
than
putting
them
immediately
into
the
release.
Blocking
criteria.
A
No
meeting
for
next
week
in
Christmas
so
have
two
weeks
off
the
unfortunate
part
of
New,
Year's
and
Christmas,
hitting
on
a
Monday
or
Tuesday
I
said
that
has
updated,
talked
about
the
cab,
the
GA
and
conformance
but
kind
of
do
an
elaborate
anything
more
on
that
or
you
know
people
can
read
the
email
I
get
think
that
has
all
the
info.
They
will
need.
B
B
Yeah
yeah,
so
the
the
code
that
that
I've
been
working
on
to
deploy
kubernetes
cluster
son
Asher
was
in
a
repo
called
ACS
engine
and
basically
that
code
base
had
code
for
a
swarm
of
people
for
to
swarm
legacy,
swarm
mode,
D
cos
and
kubernetes
all
in
one
code
base,
and
so
they
in
order
to
make
it
easier
to
vendor
into
the
a
KS
service.
They
basically
split
that
apart
and
continued
it.
B
A
new
code
base
called
a
KS
under
and
so
I'm
recommending
that
people
use
that
for
the
windows
kubernetes
deployments,
because
it's
that's
just
where,
where
development
is
continuing
there
and
then
this
does
all
of
the
usage
is
exactly
the
same.
It's
just
a
different
named
binary,
so
the
the
stuff
that
we're
working
on
without
a
way
you
know,
will
probably
move
over
to
a
KS
engine
sometime
next
year.
B
A
A
We
need
to
actually
pull
all
this
together
and
my
bad
for
not
doing
it
earlier
and
basically
pin
it
on
the
channel
and
tell
people
hey
if
you're,
if
you're,
using
Google
Cloud,
for
example,
look
at
the
directions
that
we
have
using
rancher,
they
have
their
own
public
port
directions
and
using
ACS
engine.
Here's
where
you
find
things
and
also
have
the
unsee
ball
scripts
that
aleem
also
created
for
ovn.
Oh
yes,
so.
A
E
Can
give
a
quick
update
on
the
GMS
side
of
things
so
got
a
chance
to
think
of
it?
Patrick
you're
in
cube
con
and
also
spoke
to
the
same
earth.
Guy
specifically
the
person
from
sig
identity,
Mike
Denis.
So
he
was
already
aware
of
the
GMs,
a
cap
that
Patrick
had
initially
submitted.
So
you
know,
can
you
just
had
a
chat
with
him
saying
you
know
this
is
what
our
overall
goal
is.
We
want
to
support
it,
so
he
brought
up
some
concerns
around
any
potential
privilege
escalations
that
it
might
cause.
E
So
he
said
that
sort
of
his
main
concern
and
he
wanted
us
to
kind
of
get
it
cleared
off
through
sig
node
first
because
of
the
CRI
changes
that
are
needed
in
order
to
copy
in
the
cred
spec.
So
he
wanted
that
review
sort
of
cleared
out
out
of
the
way
before
say.
God
really
starts,
taking
a
look
at
it
and
iterating.
So
the
plan
where
Jeremy
is
so
this
so
I
guess
this
is
a
question
I
had
like
you're
wondering
like:
where
should
we
submit
that
kept
my?
A
E
A
E
B
A
All
right
anybody
else
got
a
fishing
niche
right
on
time
today
that
record
I
think
you
all
have
a
great
Christmas
and
holiday
season.
We'll
see
you
guys
in
a
few
weeks
and
we're
gonna
have
to
skip
to
two
continuous
these
days
and
enjoy
some
time
off.
You
guys
have
it
and
and
we'll
update
all
of
you
guys
on
our
efforts
in
a
few
weeks.
