make

emerging
market

is
because
it's
usually
very
low
wealth
in
these
countries
and
capital.
There's
there's
not
a
lot
of
supply
of
capital,
a
very
high
demand
for
capital
and
best
domestic
interest
rates
rise
in
Indonesia.
It's
nine
point.
Nine
percent
to
12.5
percent
secure,
which
actually
looks
actually
a
lot
like
the
defy
rates,
an
unsecured,
goes
all
the
way
to
17
to
30
percent.
We
imagine
that
on
a
sixty
thousand
dollar
loan
right
and
within
Indonesia,
there's
no
access
to
capital
in
the
US,
that's
federal
student
loan
programs
and
all
of
that
by
an
Indonesia.

No
such
thing
like
that
even
existing
finances
of
will
find
it
very
difficult
to
give
out
a
cheque
size
of
sixty
thousand
dollars
and
tend
to
just
do
very
small
loans
below
three
thousand
dollars
or
fund
loans
that
are
over
ten
years
if
their
mortgages
or
commercial
loans.
So
for
heinous
to
be
able
to
pay
Cornell,
she
would
have
to
head
up
ten
to
even
20
small
Indonesian
microfinance
companies,
take
three
thousand
dollar
loans
from
each
of
them
and
have
to
go
to
the
operations
each
month
of
paying
each
small
micro
loan
back
up.

already
have
a

Why
don't
you
just
go?
Take
it
over
there
and
the
thing
is:
when
you
arrive
there,
you
know
you
just
want
into
Wells
Fargo.
For
the
first
time
you
take
out
your
I-20,
you
try
to
say:
hey!

I
open
a
bank
account
they're,
happy
to
open
the
bank,
account
for
you,
but
you
take
a
loan.
That's
not
possible
right
and
it's
because
immigrants
have
no
credit
history,
no
matter
who
you
are
outside.

40,000

profits
now
they're
just
sink
in
for
a
second,
it's
12%
per
10
and
12
percent
per
annum
interest
right
on
top
of
that,
there's
a
5%
or
origination
fee
right,
which
is
3,000,
and
not
only
that
they
don't
lend
you
the
full
60,000.
You
only
fund
it
for
twenty
five
thousand
and
the
rest
you've
got
to
go,
find
a
way
to
screen
and
save
and
find
it
from
somewhere
in
your
native
country.

reality
of
many
of
students
and
many
people
who,
just
in
terms
of
this
case
right
so

think
for
us

really
what
the
promise
of
a
lot
of
this
is
is
that
what
we
want
to
do
is
to
solve
a
lot
of
these
problems.

can
a
borrower
who
doesn't
have
traditional
sources
of
credit?
It's
there
a
way
to
make
it
the
surface.

borrowers
were
structurally
locked
out
of
the
financial
system
of
a
very
geographically
Center
financial
system
and
instead
really
think
about
it
from
what
it
will
look
like
in
50
years
and
really
think,
like
you
know,
if
blockchain
takes
off
at
BFI,
takes
off.
This
is
a
borderless
Peyman,
real
that
it's
truly
global,
you
know,
and
then
how
do
we
think
of
peer-to-peer
based
lending?
How
do
we
do
risk
it?
You
know,
and
for
majority
of
the
world's
borrowers
they
will
not
have
collateral
right.

we
solve
this
very
dirty,
difficult
problem
of
lending
to
the
people
who
need
it
most
right
and
I
think
what
we
really
started
to
think
about?
Really
a
reputation
is
collateral
in
many
emerging
market
regions.
So
just
for
background,
I
was
the
founder
of
an
Lord
start-up
in
Indonesia
and
Philippines
right.
A
lot
of
the
informal
systems
of
trust
are
what
underwrite
loans
right
right
now
in
the
dfi
wool,
we've
really
done
a
lot
of
research
into
collateral
right
now
they
have
digital
assets.

Can
you
collateralize
it
to
take
notes
right
and
that
has
given
rise
to
a
very
interesting
margin,
lending
business
right?
However,
the
total
volume
of
this
is
unlikely
to
be
tremendously
huge
right.
I
can
scale
up
to
maybe
a
billion,
but
I
mean
debt.
Markets
are
trillions
right
and
a
lot
of
it
will
have
to
start
thinking
about
problems
beyond
margin
lending
very
soon,
and
we
hear
a
story
is
right:
in
Philippines,
lenders
will
hold
the
ATM
cards
of
borrowers
and
a
government
ID
as
collateral
right
in
Cambodia.

Multi
finance
companies
make
loans
public
if
the
borrower
cannot
post
collateral.
So
this
leads
to
a
lot
of
social
pressure
and
a
lot
of
things
in
the
BFI
space.
How
do
we
start
thinking
of
a
situation
in
ten
years
time?
It's
there
a
way
that
you
can
adapt
some
of
these
existing
systems
of
reputation
as
collateralized
identity
as
collateral
to
enable
credit
access
to
a
much
larger
population.

really
thinking
about
social
credit
as
collateral
right.
This
was
actually
a
wireframe

our
hackathon

It's
there
a
way
that
we
can
use
identity
as
collateral
right
now.
All
of
us
have
a
theorem
account.

such
rich

transaction
data
such
rich
profiles
that
can
be
built.

just
based
on
very
open
source
public
data

interim
solution,

think

we've
chosen
to
focus
on
our
borrowers,
whose
professional
identities
matter
and
they're
incentivized
to
establish
and
maintain
credit
movements
and

for
us
to
do
uncollateralized
lending

blockchain
space
we
have
to
find
prime
but
undersell
followers
who
structurally
do
not
are
not
self
by
traditional
credit
systems
right
now.
Thinking
at
this
point,
you

like
to
just
give
a
little
bit
of
the
history
of
a
lot
of
the
past
failed
experiments
in
a
blockchain
space
for
doing
uncollateralized
lending
cross
borders.

little
underwriting

lot

can

find

structural
wedge

interesting

marketed

excited

see
that

release
2.0
coming
soon,
hopefully,
but
either

is
released
and
that's
happening
and
with
that
said,
the
two
poles
that
are
happening
this
week.

last
week's
governance
poll
ended
with,
with
the
vote
to
lower
the
stability
feeds
through
18
and
a
half
percent.
It
was
fairly
low
voter
turnout.
It
was
mostly
I
think
to
large
maker
holders
that
swung
that
decision,
but
it's
actually
the
same
executive
vote
as
it
was
last
week,
so
the
executive
vote
remains.
There
is
still
the
option
of
luring
stability
feeds,
eighteen
and
a
half
percent,
but
currently
maker
governance
has
to
rally
at
least
78,000
MKR
in
order
to
beat
the
current.

know
the
current
rate
so
stay
tuned
for
that
I
think
right
now,
actually
I
could
probably
really
quickly
but
I.
Think
there's
about
14,000
in
the
executive
poll,

diligence
effort
where
we're

reading
the
collateral

professionally,

rigorously
and

risks

each
asset,

so
we
have
a
list
of

think
was

five,
six
or
seven

so
the

going

choose
which
asset
we're
going
to
focus
on
first,
so
that
is
coming.

and
it's

activity
on
