Otterspace utilizes an array of badges to represent different identities and permissions within an organization. Each badge identifies what area of an organization a badge holder represent. For example, only certain badges can be utilized to vote on certain topics, some being more exclusive than others. Otterspace’s badge system seeks to:
* Increase member activation and engagement through a non-financial reward/incentive system for participation.
* Reduce manual workload and improve security via automated access management & permissions through integrations such as Guild and Collab.Land.
* Implement on-chain, portable membership models that are visual, structured and easy to track.
* Allocate status and belonging through community-specific credentials that set the foundation for a more advanced reputation system.
* Utilize Badges for voting in Snapshot and build a custom voting strategy out of our UI, employing varying voting weights relative to other Badges or an ERC-20 token.
