deal

a

being
really
active
in
the
open
source

contriving
communities

projects.

that's
a

both

it's
actually
a
really
interesting
topic,

of
those

differentiate
when
it's
available

when

open

research

investment

companies
who
are
saying.

allow

employees

open
source?
Because
it's
not
invoiceable,
it's
not
actually
generating
revenue
or
burning
or.

as

what
that's
a
really
interesting
discussion
point
so,
and,

obviously
most
of
the
companies
are
still
thinking
this
way,
but
then
we're
seeing
a
growth
being
active
on
the
open
source
and
and
microsoft
is
obviously
getting
to
be
more
and
more
open
source.
But
what
is
what?

To
get
that,
I
think
for
them,
it's
a
huge
chance
to
learn
to
get
to
work
with
people
with
whom,
otherwise
they
might
not
have
have
not
no
chance
to
work
and
basically
get
get
exposure
and
acknowledgement
of
their
skills
so
really
gain
standing
in
community
like
be
a
part
of
something
bigger.
That
is
them
that
maybe
spends
even
beyond
the
company
they
work
for
and
from
there.
They
can
learn
more
and
also
bring
this
additional
insights
in
insights
inside
the
company
and
and
get
basically
additional
perspectives.

I
don't
think
that
there's
a
huge
shift
in
companies
adopting
open
source
more,
I
think,
with
the
the
adoption
there
is
the
usage,
but
I
actually
take
part
in
open
source.

don't
think
that
there's
really
a
company
driven
choice
rather
than
something
that
an
employee
might
want
to
do
because
they
like
pmp,
they
use
pmp
and
they
want
to
like
share
their
power
of
effort
right
and
the
other
thing
you
asked
was,
and
the
u.s.

I
think
it
gives
some
hints
of
what
the
vision
can
lead
to
if
you're
not
trying
to
to
to
follow
up
with
the
with
the
the
trends
in
the
in
the
community.
In
the
industry,
for
instance,
you
can
use-

almost
everybody
now
use,
for
example,
pnp
per
shell
or
or
the
cli
for
and
pmt
shelf
for
the
provisioning
engine
and
so
on,
and
they
they
tend
to
use
it
because
it
already
does
a
ton
of
work
that
would
take
years
of
work
to

to
redo
the
same
thing.

why
would
why
would
we
re
reinvent
the
wheel
and
why
would
we
make
investment
on
doing
stuff
that
can
already
be
done
by
just
using
a
command
and
whenever
it
doesn't
work
or
there
is
a
bug
or
anything
but
yeah?
You
can
invest
this
time
on
fixing
it
and
hopefully
we'll
share
it
with
the
community
to
to
improve
the
overall
product,
because
all
the
the
the
the
effort
that
have
been
made
by
dozens
or
hundreds
of
people
in
in
the
community.

used
the
pnp
side
score
and
we
realized
the
customer
that,
after
after
a
few,
it
is
a
single
page
app
and
after
a
few
hours
working
on
their
app
they
they
could
not
create
their
document
anymore,
and
we
realized
it
was
a
single
yeah,
a
typo,
a
tiny
typo
in
vpnp
size
core
that
prevent
the
the
token
to
be
acquired
and
just
by
changing
one
character.
I
fix
the
bag
with
this
and
contribute
it
back,
but
on
the
initially
I
had
something
that
was
already
handling
authentication
and
uploading
document.

With
a
few
lines
of
code
that
I
would
have
done
differently,
I
would
have
spent
several
hours
several
days,
maybe
on
an
implement
it
and
implementing
that.
So
I
think
there
is
really
a
win-win
situation
by
taking
what
has
already
been
done
and
then,
if
you
spot
something
resident
building
your
own
thing,
your
your
huge
framework
or
whatever
you
can
just
sit
on
top
of
existing
one
and
improve
improve
it,
and
it
is
beneficial
for
everyone.

I
know
the
I
understand
this
thing
about
giving
vip
for
free,
but
it's
not
it's
not
really
the
the
train
anymore,
at
least
well,
in
what
I'm
seeing
in
the
community.
Maybe
there
are
some
guys
still
in
their
own
bubble
outside
from
all
the
community
things
that
still
don't
see
the
value,
but
I
hope
they
will
at
some
point
and
realize.

it's
a
kind
of
a
baseline
component
or
something
which
should
be
there,
like
bmp
bmp's,
high
score,
the
classic
one
which
has
the
provisioning
engine
everything
else
to
be
honest
and
we
as
a
microsoft,
employee,
can
say
this,
probably
the
best
that
we
should
have
something
similar
natively
within
a
product.
And
yes,
we
do
in
certain
levels
like
designs,
but
it's
not
sufficient.

it's
addressing
a
business
scenario,
technical
gap
within
the
product,
and
but
it's
not
a
specific
ip
and
look
like
well,
should
shouldn't
you
be
able
to
provision
microsoft,
team,
stuff
and
and
sharepoint
stuff,

all
of
that.

absolutely
so
why
wouldn't
we
have
something
like
that?
Is
that
a
unique
ip
and
in
intellectual
property
of
a
company?
Well,
no,
it's
it's
about
provisioning!

let's
create
something

a
template
like
it's

exactly,
as
you
said,
it's
a
basic
that
you
would,
you
might
expect,

to
see
in
product.
On
the
other
hand,
if
there
are
apis

group
build
something
that
only
you
could
do
as
opposed
to
take
work
away
from
community
that
we
can
do
too
right.
So,
in
other
words
like
if
you,
if
you

give
us

apis,
we
can
do
it.

it

it
would
take
us

much
more
time

we
might
not
have
all

focus

have

500
contributors
already
in
the

bmp
initiative
worldwide
in
the

the
scale
of
six
years,

shows
the
scale

way
community
is
actually
actively
participating
and

the
growth
is
there.
So
there's
more
and
more
projects
more
and
more
people
contributing
and
but
coming
back
on.

think
that
for
the
companies
and
that's
an

an
interesting
trend,
we're
seeing
more
and
more
companies
being
actively
promoting
for
their
employees
around
the
opportunity

contributing
as

which
is
great
and
there's
a,
I
would
say,
we're
seeing
technically
more
u.s
based
companies
being
more
active
kind
of
realizing
that
well.

is
actually.

a
great
way
and

because
then,
when
you
allow
your
employers
to
do
that,
then
they
want
to
actually
stay
in
the
company,
because
that
gives
you
people,
freedom
of
innovating
and
contributing
being
part
of
something
bigger

have
had
certain

cases
and
certain
contributors
who
who
had
issues
related
on
their
contributions
even
and
that
their
employees
was
basically
saying
no,
no,
we
own
everything

this
person
does
well,

happens

could
even
argue
that
it's
all
about
impact

if
you
build
something

customer.

team

contribute

everybody

in
the
world
will

able
to
see

contributing

push

reviewed

discussed

other
companies

bigger
company,

working

not
microsoft,
but

mean
typical
institution

a

definitely
less
insight

less
experience

you

find
in
the
entire
world,

many
origins

many
backgrounds

So
you
have
definitely
an
advantage

taking

insight

people
outside
of
your

your
technical
level.

would
say
with

you
work
in
a
team,
you
tend
to
think
the
same
way
in
the
in
the
team.

colleagues

you
sometimes
you
focus
too
much
on
on

thing.

run

issue,

you

don't
have
that
insight
that

external
people
might
have

you're
focusing

realize

community
engagement

don't

handle
