switzerland

wife's

telecommunications

strange
place

fact
that
we're
not
part
of
the
european
union
so
we're
very,
very
unprem
centric
in
the
market.

we
only
got
our
data
centers
last
year,
so
we're
watching
that
whole
thing
move
across
and
in
my
time,
in
between
what
I'm
doing
working
basically,
I'm
working
in
in
the
community.

that
started
in
2016
with
a
group
of
mvps
getting
together
and
saying
oh
yeah.
We
need
to
put,
we
need
to
club
together
and
start
putting
our
blogs
and
things
together,
so
they
started
doing
aggregation
of
blogs
and
it
turned
into
a
crowdsourcing
type
of
type
of
scenario.
Where
we
got
this,
we've
got
a
website
which
has
got
a
whole
bunch
of
articles
and
the
audience
is
around
it
can
be.
It
can
be
any
sort
of
subject
related
to
365
and
something's,
going
to
azure
power
platform.

user
adoption

things

and

even
got
now
back

the

in
the
australian
new

we've
got

lockdown

think
over
the
summer
it's
died
down
a
bit,
so
we
need
to
pick
up
some
more
stuff
and
probably
more
than
anything
else,

we
just
enjoy
being
a
community,

and
helping
each
other
out
collaborators
we're
always
always
open
to
new
people
coming
in
and
giving
a
positive
spin
on
what
we're
doing
and
how
people
you
know
how
people
can
get
more
visibility
out
there
or
there's
the
things
they
can
do.

it

making
sure
that
people
actually
find
them,
because
there's
so
many
people
who
are
moving
to
the
cloud
still
or
are
in
the
cloud
and
they
struggle
because

know

it
means
and
how
do
how
to
make
things
happen
and
plus
philip,
like
I
said,
the
cloud
is
moving
so
fast
forward
and
it's
azure.
It's
maestro
365
power
platform.
It's
all
of
the
cross.
It's
really
hard
to
actually
stay
up
to
date.

also,
I
think
another
interesting
angle
to
that-
is
that
whenever
you
already
create
something
by
yourself
right,
so
you
create
videos
or
samples,
you
put
it
out
there.
But
if
you
just
start
you
might
get
the
views,
but
you
will
probably
not
get
that
much
interaction,
not
to
mention
like
having
somebody
coach
you
on
that
or
help
you
set
the
next
steps.
I
think
there
is
also
the
value
in
being
surrounded
with
like-minded
people
who
also
create
content
who
went
through
these.

know
growing
pains
if
you
like
and
who
know
the
let's
say
the
do's
and
don'ts,
how
you
share
stuff,
how
you
write,
how
you
create,
and
so
for
basically
trying
helping
others
to
grow
and
to
improve
their
skills,
not
really
technically
but
more
on
the
content
creation
side.
So
I
think
that
there's
also
a
value
to
be
a
part
of
a
community.
For
that
part.

I
actually
wanted
to
go
back
on
the
on
the
start,
where
philip
you
said
that
you're
from
switzerland,
because
switzerland's
like
you
said
this-
is
a
big
special
place.
It's
not
part
of
eu
and
it
has
its
own
different
rules
and
and
the
data
center
came
pretty
recently.

I
still
remember
when
I
was
visiting
when
I
used
to
be
a
consultant
eight
years
in
microsoft,
consulting
services-
and
I
was
flying
across
to
europe
and
visited
some
companies
who
were
partly
in
switzerland
and
partly
in
luxembourg,
and
that
was
so
weird
because
to
just
cross
the
river
in
a
in
they
preach
no
borders,
obviously
no
nothing
but
completely
different
rules.
It's
like
wow.

mean
the
whole
thing
has
been
within
within
the
borders,
keeping
the
keeping
the
data
there,
because
they
have
scripts
and
strict
privacy
rules
and
about
data
going
across
borders
and
there's
a
lot
of
pharmaceuticals
and
banking
and
international
organizations
here
so
in
the
market.
They
want
to
make
sure
that
if
they've
got
they're
going
to
go
clown,
they
basically
need
to.
They
need
to
have
something
that
they
will
set
between
any
of
those
regulatory
roles
and
things
that
they
need.

Also,
I
think
people
are
still
still
very
hesitant
to
let
go
of
their
assistance.
They're
on-prem
yeah,
it's
always
been.
It's
always
been
a
fight.
I've
seen
it
I've
seen
it
in
the
u.s
I've
seen
uk
I've
seen
it
in
different
places
where
people
yeah
we're
not
going
cloud
because
of
this.
This
and
that's-
and
I
said
well,
if
you
need
to
these-
are
how
to
address
these
particular
issues.
So
persuading
people
that
it's
it's
the
right
thing
to
do,
there's
always
a
trade-off.

always
the
control
versus
it.
You
know
versus
the
convenience
of
it,
and
some
people
still
want
to
maintain
that
little
control
they
like
that
they
don't
like
being
out
of
that
control
and
having
a
vendor
tell
them
exactly
what
they
you
know
what
they
can
and
can't
do
with
the
system.

mean
this
always
comes
back
to
the
usual
thing
about
sharepoint,
which
is
basically
I
want.
I've
got
sharepoint
on-prem,
it's
fully
customized.

people

oh

we're

it
like
this
and
I
go.
It
doesn't
work
like
that
anymore,
but
it's
always
worked
like

and
I'm

you
you
need
you

need
to
start
changing
up
because
the
world
the

is
changing.

way
we

all
those
kind
of
things

creeping
in
more
into
the

they
come

long
have
you
got?
No,
basically,
I
mean
I've
had
an
id
career
now
lasting
31
years,
so
I've
done
a
bit
of
anything
and
everything
you
know,
starting
in
support
all
the
way.
Yeah
yeah
like
late
80s,
early
90s,
so
I've
been
there
seeing
a
lot
of
things
done.
A
lot
of
things,
work
for
a
lot
of
companies,
everything
from
companies
with
less
than
100
people
to
100,
000
people
plus
right
so
worked
on
different
different
business
cases,
use
cases
different
technologies.

In
that
respect,
but
in
the
last
five
years
jumping
ahead,
I
got
called
in
to
do
a
project
helpful
project
with
a
migration
project
for
for
a
non-government
non-profit
organization,
international
one
I'm
going
from
2007
to
2013
and
that
started
off
and
we
were
part
way
through
the
2013
migrant
migration.
When
we
were
told
hey,
guess
what
you're
going
to
the
cloud
and.

we
went
one
to
the
other,
the
other.
So
within
18
months
to
two
years,
we've
gone
from
total
on-prem
to
to
to
online
and
I've
been
there
for
another
few
more
years
since,
but
basically,
we've
been
gradually
getting
to
more
more
towards
the
normal
towards
using
the
cloud
stuff.
We're
currently
rolling
teams
to
the
organization,
building,
a
bigger,
bigger
digital
workplace
type
service
behind
that
as
well.
So
we
can
get
people
more
to
speak
with,
what's
going
on
and
keep
people
up
to
date,
a
bit
more.

mean
it's
like
I
said
yeah
we,
you
know
we
we
hit
a
lot
of
stuff
from
the
beginning
and
gradually
over
the
last
year
and
a
half,
you

we've

left
things
open
and
then
generically
introduced
a
few
things
that
they
found
useful
depending
on
business
cases
that
came
in,
but
now
we
want
to
start
training
them
properly
about
how
to
do
certain
things.

it's

whole
kind
of
different
game
like
how
do
you
ensure
adoption
and
even
from
the
hr
point
of
view,
not
not
as
much
as
critique
that
we
don't
want
to?

people
use
it
but
more

train

we
bring
it
in
a
meaningful
way
that
they
are
not
overwhelmed,
but
that
they
can
use
it
in
a
meaningful
way
in
their
work?.

sometimes
it
means
going
down
for
the
game
down
to
those
individuals
and
finding
out
what
their
pain
points
are
and
saying.

these
are
your
pain
points.
Okay,
here's
how
we
can
map
that
to
it
to
a
particular
cause
you
know
and
that
that
is
not
exactly
the
most
efficient
way
to
do
it,
but
it's
it's
sometimes
the
better
way
to
do
it
in
terms
of
start
with
small
cases,
get
those
little
victories
and
then
word
spreads.

Concrete
examples
of
it
I
mean
right
now,
my
let's
say
with
the
with
my
customer:
I've
been
working
with
first
years.
They
are
basically
they
work
in
the
health
area,
so
they're
dealing
with
lots
of
people
in
low-income
countries,
so
sub-saharan
africa,
southeast
asia,
south
america,
latin
america,
in
places
and
all
their
stuff
they've
got
all
their
contacts
and
partners
based
in
those
areas
and
obviously,
with
the
travel
ban
right
now,
they
can't
go
anywhere.

They
use
the
usually
people
from
the
organization
are
flying
out
to
these
different
locations
to
work
out
what
they
need
to
provide
them,
and
and
do
all
the
negotiations
around
funding
and
things,
and
basically
they
can't
do
that
they
are.
They
are
stuck
so
we've
been
basically
working
with
those
teams
to
work
out
how
we
can
best
leverage
teams
as
a
way
of
communicating
with
with
those
groups
easier,
whether
it's
meetings,
calls
meetings,
calls
collaboration,
files,
etc.

So
it's
been
a
good
way
to
turn
that
around
it's
not
their
ideal,
but
basically,
where
possible.
You
know
we
are
we're
trying
to
facilitate
that,
as
as
best
as
we
possibly
can,
and
through
working
with
those
teams,
we
basically
just
start
to
understand
more
about
what
they
do
and
how
they
do
it,
and
you
know
where
it
really
work
where
it
really
works.

One
of
the
examples
I
got
recently
was
the
fact
that
for
now,
they
don't
have
to
just
email,
someone
and
wait
for
a
response.
They
basically
get.
They
can
get
hold
of
the
person
because
they've
got
their
phone.
They've
got
their
phone
with
them.
They
can
get
a
response
and
basically
get
an
answer
to
a
question.

lot
quicker.
A

How
much
we
travel
less
or
do
we
travel
less?
Do
we
travel
at
all?
So
it's
a
lot
of
interesting
unknowns
still
so,
but
then
I
I
think
it's
actually
super
super
cool
to
see
how
the
the
companies
are
adjusting
and
obviously
they
are
forced
to
adjust
the
way
they
work
as
well
to
keep
them
floating.
But
it's
it's
really
cool
to
see
the
learnings
and
how
people
are
learning
to
be
successful
with
remotely.
So
I
essence
just
simple
example.
I
really
don't
remember,
while
that
when
we
met
physically
face
to
face.

anyway,
so
luckily
we
have
these
tools.
We
have
this
technology,
which
actually
helps
us
to
do
this,
which
is
we
we
like
said
so
many
times
in
the
discussions
that
we
were
lucky.
Obviously,
whatever
happens
is
highly
unpleasant
and
not
a
suitable
thing,
but
we're
lucky
that
it
happens
this
on
this
level.
First
time
when
we
have
this
technology,
because
if
this
would
have
happened
like
20
years
ago
or
10
years
ago,
the
situation
would
have
been
much
more
catastrophic.

thing
that
I'm
and
that
I
wonder
about
is
how
others
experience
that
right
because
like
for
me,
I've
been
working
at
home
for
four
years
now
plus.
So
this
is
my
reality.
I
don't
see
my
colleagues
in
person
like,
I
see
them
once
every
few
months
right.
I
see
you
every
few
years,
apparently
right
so
so
like
for
me.
It's
like
we
jump
on
a
call
and
that's
how
I
work
so
for
me,
it's
just
like
well
the
coffee
thing.

nice
trips

one

hard
parts
right
now

want

specifically

be
there

own,

shock
to

first
time
ever

know
exactly
for
her.
It's

not

whether

work

be

with
it,

there's
also
interesting
things

you
join
a
company
or
you
are
even
team
and
you're
new,
like
sure
you
can
jump
on

call

meet

that
really
how
you
bond
right?

like
sure
you
can
do
your
work
and
you
can't
talk
about
the
content.
The
matter.
You
know
the
work,
but
it's
it's
really
how
you
bought
like.
Will
you
really
become
cohesive
team
through
just
that
or
is
it?

think
it's,

it's
hard,
because
if
people
don't
know
each
other,
I
find
there
is
definitely
a
difference
in
attitude
between
people
who
have
met
and
people
in
real
life
and
people
who
haven't
there's
always
that
little
icebreaker
window.

as
soon
as
you
meet
them.
The
attitude
change
because
okay
they're
a
real
person,
they're
they're,
okay,
they're
human
they're,
not
they're,
not
a
robot.
They
are.

that

really

helps

the

it

for
those
things.
If
you
can
do
it,
even

just

somewhere
and

for
coffee

that
helps
that

tremendously.
That's
the
big

the
hump
things.
You
may
not
be
able
to
meet
your
entire
team
or
whatever,
but
meet
people
regularly
on
different
different
times.
I
mean
when
I
was
working
with
american
one
american
company.

working
with
on
projects
that
I
weren't
on
my
team
and
got
to
meet
those
those
kind
of
people,
those
things
those
things
really
help,
because
then,
once
you
do
that,
then
the
conference
calls
and
stuff
will
come
easy,
because
when
I
was
doing
it
it
wasn't
the
video
technology
or
it
was
extremely
pixelated.
It
looked
like
minecraft,
you
know,
but
yeah,
it's
kind
of
it.
You
know
it
was.

was
like
that
back
then,
but
we,
you
know
always
conference
calls
and
stuff
were
where
they
were
the
thing
that
basically
helped
helped
us
a
long
way
because
we
couldn't
do
stuff,
but
the
breaking
news.
The
first
time
is
good,
once
you've
done
that
everything
else
becomes
becomes
easier.
Absolutely
you
know.
I've
had
project
meetings
where
I've
gone
into
either
the
technical
lead
or
something
and
my
manager
is
on
the
other
end
of
the
phone
and
people
said.
No.
We
don't
want
phil.
Why?

in
our
case,
so
obviously
so,
I'm
being
productive
on
daytime
and
then
evenings
are
just
meeting
something
I
close
up
and
like
10
or
11
in
the
evening.
So
it's
just
time
zones
are
dictating
that
one
and
if
needed,
I
can
go
1am,
but
I
rarely
do
it
because
it
doesn't
make
any
sense.
But
it's
it's
been
interesting
to
see.

overall
situation
in
redmond
has
slightly
gone
better
from
that
moment,
so
they've
been
having
lunch
meetings
and
all
of
that
offices
are
still
basically
closed.
So,
but
it's
it's
the
meeting
at
least
once
here
and
there
face
to
face
with
helps
to
actually
break
the
eyes
like
I
said
philip,
so
definitely
a
good
good
practice.
