pretty
new
feature-
and
I
imagine
some
people

like
well,
I
haven't
even
heard
about
what
office
gifts
is
yet,
so
I
will
be
doing
both
of
those
things
during
this
meeting
today,
but
first,
I
kind
of
wanted
to
get
a
sense
of
people's
automation
experiences.
So
far,
so
you
know
feel

the

know,
with
the
team's
reacts
just
to
share
a
little
bit
about
how
you
currently
automate
using
office.

scripts

as

always
spend
some
time

an
overview
of
office
skips

feel

another

I

power
automate,
but
that

also
a
very
viable
automation
solution
but,
as
I
said

three
main
questions:
what
is
office
scripts?
What

skip
buttons
and
then
how
can
you
get
involved
in
using
our
feature,
getting
started
and
giving
feedback?

start
off
with
this
first
question:
what
is
office
scripts,
so
this
might
be
refreshing
material.
Since
I
know
some
people
might
have
office
scripts
experience
on
the
call,
but
you
know
hopefully
this
information
will
be
insightful.
If
you
don't
have
this
much
experience.
So
what
is
office
scopes?

I
want
to
start
off
with
the
mission
statement,
which
is
to
empower
office
users
to
easily
automate
tasks
and
processes
to
run
their
businesses
efficiently,
anytime
and
anywhere,
and
so
the
key
places
that
I
want
to
highlight
here
is
that
this
is
for
office
users
running
their
business
processes.
We
currently
are
available
on
excel
on
the
web
as
an
automation
platform
for
commercial
and
educational
licenses
and
then
the
second
part
of
this
right.

You
know
we
don't
believe
that
you
need
to
have
a
computer
science
degree
in
order
to
automate
your
tasks
within
your
spreadsheets,
and
so
we
think
this
is
the
differentiating
factor
of
office.
Skips
and
I'll.
Show
you
a
little
demo
to
kind
of
show
some
features
that
we've
done
to
be
more
intentional,
this
regard,
and
then
I
would
say
the
second
part
of
this
I
mentioned
earlier,
being
collaborative
in
the
work
in
the
work
and
web
environment.

want
users
people
to
easily
share
these
scripts
with
other
people.
So
even
if
you're
feeling
a
little
lazy-
and
you
don't
want
to
create
an
automation-
you
can
at
least
benefit
from
the
automations
that
other
people
have
created
or
if
you
are
the
one,
that's
creating
the
automation.
You're
able
to
share
that
with
other
colleagues.
Have
them
benefit
from
that
as
well.

see
a
question
about
power
automate
being
in
the
bottom
right.
So
actually
this
chart
is
really
specific
to
office
itself.
I
would
say:
power
automate's
not
captured
on
here,
but
I'll
get
into
that
a
little
bit
later

feel

if
you
feel
like
it's
a
little
bit
unclear
what
the
relationship
is
between
office,
scripts
and
power
automate,
but

excel

find
a
couple
different
key
features.
One
is
the
action
recorder
and
for
those
of
you
that
are
more
familiar
with
vba,
then
this
might
seem
very
familiar
to
you.
It
is
a
way
to
capture
actions
within
the
workbook
and
record
that
into
a
script.
We
really
recommend
this.
If
you
don't
know
too
much
about
the
programming
language,
it's
a
great
place
to
start
and
just
see
like
how
the
automations
are
built.

also
have
a
code
editor,
and
this
allows
you
to
program
your
scripts.
If
you
do
have
that
javascript
typescript
knowledge,
we
use
the
same
apis
as
officejs,
but
in
a
more
synchronous
manner.
So
we
call
them
office
scripts
apis,
and
I
will
show
you
that
later
as
well
in
the
demo
and
then
the
last
thing
I
want
to
call
out
here
is
that
you
can
actually
share
your
scripts
with
other
people.

if
you
see
that
people
icon,
I
know
it's
a
little
small
on
the
slide,
but
that
just
indicates
that
those
are
shared
scripts,
and
so
anyone
that
has
access
to
the
workbook
is
also
able
to
go
to
the
automate
tab
run
those
automations.
But
if
you
think
that's
cool,
I'm
really
excited
to
share
with
you.
This
new
feature
that
we
have
for
sharing
scripts
more
easily
as
well,
so
we
recently
released
this
new
feature
called
script
buttons
to
production
or
it's
still
currently
going
through
the
rings.

this
is
kind
of
like
a
early
sneak
peek.
I
guess
if
you
haven't
gotten
the
feature
yet,
but
essentially
what
this
feature
allows
you
to
do
is
run
your
scripts
by
selecting
a
button
within
the
workbook
itself,
and
so
the
goal
here
is
that
the
person
doesn't
have
to
go
to
the
automate
tab
and
identify
the
right
script
anymore.

can
just
select
the
button
where
they
see
it
and
we
hope
this
allows
users
to
use
your
automation
as
long
as
they
have
access
to
the
workbook
essentially
and
because
we
are
essentially,
this
is
like
a
shape
within
the
workbook.
You
also
can
customize
it
to
meet
whatever
fonts
color
preferences
that
you
might
have
I've
seen.

prompt
the
user
for
input,
whether
in
a
dialog
tab
or
a
cell?
So
that's
a
great
question.

quite

coexist.

bba
is
going
away
at
all.
So
I
want

be
really
clear
about
this
because
I
know
with
the
introduction
of
office
scripts.
We
do
get
these
questions
of
like
well,
what's
happening
to
vba.
Now
nothing
is
happening
to
vba.

think
that
office
scripts
and
vba
can
live
in
harmony
because
optoscopes
is
more.
You
know
if
you're
working
in
a
more
collaborative
environment
where
you
want
to
share
things,
then
we
recognize
that
can
be
a
really
good
solution,
because
we're
really
focusing
on
that
modern
and
collaborative
work
environment.
But
we
also
recognize
that
office
scripts
can't
do
all
the
things
that
vba
does.
For
example,
I
think
vba
you
can
access
different
files
within
the
spreadsheet,
like
just
one
spreadsheet
itself,
because
of
the
way
that
office
service
was
built.

this
to
be
in
a
more
secure
environment
and
we're
thinking
a
little
bit
more.
As
I
said
about
collaboration,
those
are
some
scenarios
that
vba
will
do
that
office.
Skips
doesn't
currently
have
to
offer,
and
so
there
are
a
couple
differentiators.
I
think
what
I'll
do
after
I
give
this
demo
is
I'll
drop,
a

in
the

some
documentation,

you
can
learn

about
the
differences
between
vba
and
office
scripts.

differentiator

us

vba

some

it

a
successful

with
the
united

in
both
public

public

So
when
it
comes
to
the
government,
there
is
a
lot
of
different
people
and
individuals
that
we
have
to
talk
about
in
regards
to
what
they
will
be
bringing
to
the
actual
table.
Here
we
have
our
government
leader,
so
our
government
leader
is
the
individual
who
will
have
the
actual
guidance
that
they're
going
to
provide
to
their
people
they're
going
to
have
their
actual
service
that
they
will
be
providing
to
their
customers.

They're
also
going
to
be
making
policies
and
rules
and
regulations,
and
some
of
that
will
follow
suit.
Then
we
have
our
government
employee.
This
could
be
a
contractor.
This
could
be
someone
who's
trying
to
build
a
collaboration
of
team
services.
This
could
also
be
someone
who
is
trying
to
develop
a
strategy
for
the
next
individual,
then.
Lastly,
we
have
our
field
workers,
so
our
field
workers
are
individuals
that
steam
from
our
social
services
all
the
way
down
to
our
engineers.

These
folks
here
are
ones
that
are
looking
for,
possibly
mobile,
apps
automation,
similar
to
what
nancy
was
just
talking
about.
They
may
be
looking
for
different
spreadsheets.
They
might
be
looking
for
other
office
365
services
that
we
may
be
providing
now
with
microsoft,
365
we
started
creating
a
few
years
ago,
the
microsoft
365
government
clouds.
So,
as
earlier
I
mentioned
they
were
called
the
government
community
clouds.
We
have
a
couple
of
them,
there's
three
at
this
time,
so
we
have
the
microsoft
government,
community
cloud
or
gcc.

These
clouds
have
a
couple
of
different
productivity
solutions
that
you
can
bring
in,
but
there's
so
many
differences
between
those
three
and
commercial
and
we'll
talk
a
little
bit
about
that
shortly.
Some
of
the
regulations
that
we
deal
with
in
the
government
sector
and
private
sector.
It
has
to
do
with
what
you
see
on
the
screen
here.

if
we
look
at
this
slide,
we
can
see
the
different
phases
of
of
governance
and
compliance
that
have
to
be
met
for
each
one
of
these
government
clouds
right
so
on
the
commercial
side,
it
talks
about
how
it
it
can
be
fed
ramp
that
high
it
talks
about.
We
have
our
us
or
oh
conus,
for
the
data
center
location,
if
you
notice
across
all
three
of
our
government,
gcc,
ngcc,
high
and
dod
clouds.
All
three
of
those
are
me:
have
our
location
in
conus,
meaning
in
the
united
states.

That's
where
our
actual
data
will
lie
within
the
united
states.
If
we
go
further
down
the
list,
these
are
different,
certifications,
different
agreements,
and
things
like
that
that
we
have
to
bring
forth
and
apply
to
our
government
clouds
to
ensure
that
we
are
in
compliance
with
the
regulations
for
each
cloud.

Sharepoint
library
access
is
limited
as
of
right
now,
within
both
gcc
and
gcc.
High
and
dod
windows,
10
apps
windows,
10
apps
that
go
across
the
hololens
they
go
across
xbox
and
a
few
other
services
have
extreme
limitations
when
it
comes
to
the
dod
and
gcc
high.
Next,
when
it
comes
to
sharepoint
sharepoint
connectors
that
require
internet
access,
those
are
extremely
limited.
Within
our
sharepoint
environments.

Asset
libraries
are
currently
available
only
in
gcc,
but
not
ngcc,
high
and
eod
microsoft
graph.
When
it
comes
to
microsoft
graph,
we
have
so
many
different
features
in
microsoft
graph,
but
approximately
about
half
of
those
are
reaching
our
community
clouds
so
for
gcc,
high
and
dod
those
two
clouds
were
not
barely
getting
any.
I
think
it's
about
a
quarter
and
then
microsoft
search
is
not
associated
with
any
of
our
gcc
or
gcci
or
dod
clouds.

Next,
we
have
our
teams.
So
in
regards
to
teams,
we
have
third-party
applications
and
publishing
that
go
within
our
team's
environment
and
those
are
once
again
limited
to
our
gcc
high
and
dod
environments
in
gcc.
We
have
the
ability
to
use
third-party
applications
and
actually
publish
those,
that's
a
feature
that
just
was
turned
on,
probably
within
the
last
six
months
or
so.
Team
members
within
gcc,
high
and
dod
are
limited
to
2500
team
members
per
team.

cloud
customer,
is
to
go

the
microsoft
365
roadmap,
I'll

a

that
people
can
be

leverage
the

graph
toolkit
as
a
way

get
authentication
working
inside

application

login

little

of
concept
around
the
microsoft
graph
toolkit,
so
the
graph
toolkit
is
a
collection
of
reusable
framework,
agnostic
components
and
authentication
providers
that
allows
you
to
access
and
work
with
the
microsoft
graph.

components
are
fully
functional.
You
can
customize
them
and
they
work
with
any
web
framework
and
they
work
on
all
modern
browsers.
For
today
we
will
be
using
the
microsoft
graph
toolkit
as
a
vanilla,
html
and
javascript
component,
so
we're
really
going
to
use
the
web
component
approach
here.
Nothing,
crazy,
really
kind
of
the
basic
stuff
here
I
don't
want
to
go
into
any
framework
specific
capabilities
just
yet
that's
going
to
be
for
way
later
in
that
series
of
videos.

Why
do
you
care
about
the
graph
toolkit?
Well,
first,
if
you're
like
me
and
I'm
I'm
I'm
proud
to
say
it,
I'm
I'm
a
very
lazy
developer
and
I
love
to
cut
on
death
time.
I
don't
necessarily
like
to
build
ui
components.
I
really
focus
on
the
value
that
I
can
bring
to
my
app
and
and
to
my
business
and
that's
why
we
believe
that
the
graph
toolkit
really
cuts
down
on
development
time.
It's
also
already
beautiful.

So
if
you
want
to
build
something
that
seems
like
a
an
m365
component,
just
use
one
of
our
components,
but
if
you
want
to
customize
it,
you
can
fully
customize
the
way
the
microsoft
graph
toolkit
looks
like
and
finally,
it
works
everywhere.
So
it
works
on
any
type
of
browser
on
any
type
of
framework.
It
even
works
in
some
rich
applications
when
you're
using
electron,
for
example.
So
it
really
brings
your
knowledge,
your
skills,
to
a
ton
of
different
platforms.

and
I
will

graph,
there
is
one
aspect
that
is
super
important
and
you're:
gonna
have
to
create
an
application.
You're
gonna
have
to
create
an
application
in
azure
ad
in
microsoft,
identity
platform
to
up
act
as
a
proxy
between
your
app
and
your
security
constructs
that
lives
in
the
microsoft
identity
world.
So
let
me
go
and
create
that
app
for
for
us,
so
you
have
a
good
understanding
of
what
are
the
different
steps
to
get
things
started.

to

to
your
