A
And
anyone
wishing
to
speak
to
the
proposal
will
be
asked
to
come
forward
and
squash
their
opinions.
Each
side
will
have
ten
minutes

speak
once
your
request
is
heard
and
the

However,
if
you
have
questions

ask
them.
We
may
contact
staff
at
the
office
the
following
day,
once
public
testimony
and
discussion
for
a
particular
item
is
concluded,
the
members
of
the
board
would
liberate
and
render
a
decision.

A
D
Good
evening
and
thank
you
for
hearing
our
request
again
tonight,
there
are
a
few
of
you
who
were
not
here
last
month,
so
I'll
try
to
do
a
quick
recap.
The
apartment
building
under
discussion
was
built
in
1924.
It
is
a
four
unit
apartment.
My
mother
and
father
purchased
the
apartment
in
1981
37
years
ago.
My
mother,
Gwen
Pearson,
is
the
current
owner
and
is
present
here
tonight.
D
At
this
point,
the
driveway
and
much
of
the
walkway
has
cracked
becoming
slightly
and
is
dangerous,
rather
than
making
just
the
minimal
repair
of
filling
in
with
gravel
and
dirt
pulling
up
the
broken
and
filling
in
with
gravel
or
dirt.
We
would
like
to
take
this
opportunity
to
improve
the
property
for
all
of
our
tenants
and
neighbors.
We
currently
have
two
residents
over
80
years
of
age
and
would
like
to
remove
barriers
to
access
by
providing
them
both
of
them
with
this
short
and
safe,
a
path
as
possible.
D
The
current
drive
is
not
as
wide
as
today's
driveways
and
allows
parking
for
only
one
tenant.
Did
you
realize
that
in
1924
in
Alabama
we
had
one
car
for
every
six
people
today?
It's
one
for
every
person,
that's
from
MIT
press.
We
are
asking
to
provide
just
one
spot
per
unit,
not
per
person
three
additional
spaces.
D
Following
last
night's
old
Cloverdale
meeting.
It
was
strongly
suggested
that
we
work
with
our
neighbor
to
remove
the
pecan
tree
along
the
drive
and
provide
parking
in
the
back.
Please
note
that
the
drive
along
the
side
of
our
apartment
building
is
not
wide
enough
for
most
of
today's
cars
from
our
neighbors
privacy
fence
to
our
building,
which
is
a
brick
building.
We
have
nine
feet
in
three
inches
exactly
so
it's
a
it
would
be
a
tight
squeeze
for
most
cars,
two
hard
surfaces
on
both
sides.
D
Up
until
this
point,
three
of
our
tenants
have
parked
on
both
sides
of
the
street.
Of
course,
if
they
have
two
cars,
then
both
the
persons
have
parked
on
both
sides
of
the
street.
As
you
can
see
in
your
packet
pages,
one
see
through
one
e
one,
neighboring
yard
is
bordered
by
a
concrete
retaining
wall
at
the
street
to
others
by
thick
brush
and
azaleas.
D
It's
pretty,
but
it
is
thick
and
makes
it
difficult
to
park
close
to
the
curb
and
impossible
to
allow
passenger
to
get
out
on
that
side
after
parking
you
have
before
you
to
propose
changes.
If
you
were
here
last
month,
you
know
we've
narrowed
it
down
from
I,
think
seven
to
two
and
the
second
one
is
a
new
one
that
David
paints
suggested.
We
try
for
tonight
at
last
month's
meeting.
We
will
of
course
provide
landscaping
to
make
this
always
green
and
it's
attractive
as
it
possible.
D
The
first
suggestion
one
F
in
your
packet
allows
approximately
50%
green
space
in
the
front
yard,
and
the
second
is
a
little
under
that
46
or
47
percent.
If
asked
my
preference
I
would
go
with
the
second
because
it
gets
the
two
downstairs
tenants,
our
80,
plus
year
olds,
closer
to
their
door.
I'll
go
be
happy
with
either
we
are
requesting
your
permission
to
move
forward
with
one
or
the
other
of
these
proposals
is.
E
My
name
is
Barbara
Smith
and
I'm
on
the
Executive
Board
of
the
old
Cloverdale
Association.
The
old
Cloverdale
Association
is
a
dues-paying
Neighborhood
Association,
which
is
dedicated
to
maintaining
the
integrity
and
I
ambience
of
one
of
Montgomery's
finest
historic
neighborhoods.
So
we
often
find
that
the
easy
way
for
property
owners
to
address
parking
problems
is
to
simply
pave
over
convenient
green
space.
We
do
not
want
the
ARB
to
set
this
negative
precedent
of
paving
yards
for
off
street
parking.
E
We
would
like
all
involved
to
understand
that
we
are
not
opposed
to
a
resident
having
adequate
parking.
Our
opposition
and
concern
is
that
the
large
is
with
the
large
ratio
of
parking
versus
green
space,
that
the
initial
plans
allow
and
that
there
is
no
screening
to
conceal
the
back
ends
of
the
automobiles
right
on
agnew
street.
Our
first
proposed
option
would
be
to
withdraw
this
request
and
study
the
removal
of
the
infringing
pecan
tree
from
the
neighborhoods
prop
from
the
neighbors
property.
E
E
Yes,
the
residents
would
need
to
shuffle
cars
as
required,
but,
as
is
something
that
residents
do
daily
all
over
Montgomery,
although
not
perfect,
this
plan
would
take
care
of
the
off
street
parking
and
leave
as
much
green
space
as
possible
at
the
front
of
the
building.
We
also
have
a
request
that
can
some
other
material
besides
concrete,
be
considered
for
the
parking
pads
and
driveway.
Thank
you.
Oh
I
didn't
want
to
draw
attention.
There
is
a
letter
you
have
from
the
last
hearing
from
the
neighbor
across
the
street
voicing
his
concerns.
We.
F
I
see
they
did
not,
we
did
not
I
do
not
have
a
copy
of
that
left
should
I
give
it
to
you
or
was
if
I,
if
you
wanted
me
to
put
it
in
the
file,
certainly.
B
If
you
parked
in
the
back,
that
would
mean
you
would
have
to
go
up
well.
I
live
on
the
second
floor,
so
I'd
have
to
go
up
three
storeys
of
a
spiral
staircase
to
get
my
groceries
upstairs
to
come
and
go
whatever,
and
if
I
chose
not
to
use
the
spiral
staircase.
That
means
I
would
have
to
haul
groceries
than
anything
else.
B
So
at
some
point
it
would
not
be
feasible
for
me
to
do
that
and
as
far
as
having
two
driveways
yeah
a
lot
most
people
in
town
who
live
in
a
house
and
have
more
than
one
car
play
shuffle
tag
with
cars
all
the
time,
but
they're
all
members
of
the
same
family.
We
come
and
go
at
different
times:
I
work
from
home,
I'm
an
artist
I
work
from
home.
B
If,
if
we
were
gonna
pave
over
the
front
yard,
we
would
pave
over
the
front
yard.
There
would
be
no
landscaping.
There
would
be
no
grass
at
all
and,
as
I
said
at
the
last
meeting,
with
the
landscaping
that
they
are
proposing
for
either
raishin,
it's
gonna
look
a
whole
lot
better
than
the
pictures
y'all
just
looked
at.
That
has
absolutely
no
some
landscaping
now
and
would
certainly
improve
the
looks
of
the.
B
D
I
will
mention
that
the
neighbor
you
have
on
page
one
be
the
allot,
the
survey
of
the
street.
The
letter
we
are
the
blue
outline
on
the
left.
The
letter
came
from
24:15,
which
is
the
second
one
from
the
top
on
the
right.
Also
I
do
have
a
photograph
off
the
driveway
and
I
have
enough
copies
for
old,
Cloverdale,
Christie
and
all
of
the
board.
D
G
D
This
packet
is
overboard,
but
I
only
give
it
to
you
because
of
the
mention
of
the
trick,
the
trash
the
driveway
front
page
just
the
survey
unnoticed.
That
was
not
in
the
pack
yet
again.
The
second
page
is
a
picture
of
the
driveway
right
now
it
does
have
the
trash
cans
in
it,
but
I
left
them
there
thinking
that
kind
of
gives
you
an
idea
of
sighs,
because
you
all
know
the
size
of
this
and
I
measured.
What
you
see
the
wood
fence
begin.
That's
where
I
took
one
measurement.
D
I
took
the
second
measurement
at
the
back
corner
of
the
property.
In
both
times,
I
got
nine
foot
three,
the
rest
of
it
just
ignore,
but
that's
the
list
of
other
apartment
of
other
multifamily
dwellings
and
photographs
of
a
few
of
those
that
have
parking
similar
to
what
we
were
requesting.
Three
of
those
have
been
done
since
I
moved
back
into
town
eleven
years
ago
and
they're
marked
with
an
asterisk.
If
you
need
to
on
the
spreadsheet,
if
you
need
to
know.
C

I
I
D
I
A
J
C
A
A
A
K
Actually
not,
but
but
I
am
William
guy
yet
and
I
reside
at
four
South
Capitol
Parkway
right
there
on
the
corner
of
Madison
Avenue.
Four
years
ago,
I
did
stand
before
you
as
a
prospective
buyer
of
the
house.
We
were
negotiating
with
the
with
the
sellers
and
I
because
we
do
own
a
roofing
company.
We
did
note
that
the
roof
was
going
to
need
some
attention.
K
So
four
years
ago,
I
asked
y'all's
approval
to
change
out
the
slate
roof
with
a
since
that
synthetic
slate
roof,
which
this
is
the
this
is
the
original
material
off
of
the
roof
right
here.
That's
pure
slate
and
the
material
that
we'd
like
to
use
is
a
synthetic
slate
that
looks
like
this,
or
at
least
just
look
at
the
at
the
bottom
half
that's
what
shows
and
we
we
did
move
in
about
two
and
a
half
years
and
we
just
elected
to
use
our
remodeling
dollars
for
electrical
plumbing
drywall.
K
We
fix
up
the
carriage
house
on
the
inside,
and
so
now
we
are
at
the
point
where,
within
the
next
few
months
the
roof
is,
is
still
serviceable,
but
it
is
going
to
need
to
be
replaced,
and
so
I
request
your
re-approve
'el
to
use
the
synthetic
slate
material
on
the
house
itself.
There
are
some
some
flat
areas
on
the
roof.
Of
course
those
will
get
coated,
but
the
all
of
the
sloped
areas,
including
what
you
would
see
from
the
street,
would
would
be
using
this
material.

First
designer
first
thoughts
were
to
match
both
the
doors
and
the
transom
lights
from
Union
Station
for
the
two
primary
openings
on
the
South
elevation,
MS
Mercer's
comments,
or
that
they
had
a
preference
because
of
the
utility
a
utilitarian
design
of
this
building,
as
opposed
to
the
Union
Station
that
we
maintain
the
picketed
clear
to
Astoria
transom
lights
in
lieu
of
any
type
of
stained-glass,
but
understands
that
mr.
two
times
request
for
a
special
stained-glass
window
in
one
of
the
openings
would
be
permissible.

M
The
plan
southern
sass
are
providing
the
windows,
and
my
understanding
of
the
plan
is
that
there
will
be
a
standard
as
standard
a
group
of
purchases
as
possible
so
that
all
the
trim
on
the
window
and
the
profile
the
window
from
the
exterior
will
remain
the
same.
Okay
I
think
every
everything
is
like
within
an
inch,
but
there
are
variations
in
these
old
windows.
You
know
as
y'all
well
aware,
they're
not
exactly
the
same,
so
there
will
be
a
a
common
denominator
reached
so.
M
G
F
G
F
Of
the
windows,
though,
the
weather
shield
windows
were
one
of
the
windows
that
this
board
said:
we're
staff
approvable
as
long
as
they
match
what
came
out
or
simulated
divided
light.
So
some
of
the
windows,
as
my
understanding
have
been
replaced
with
what
they're
proposing
to
replace
the
rest
of
those
windows
with
and.
M
A
F
N
My
name
is
brandy
price:
where
are
the
owners
I'm
one
of
the
owners
of
740
Felder,
and
we
are
finally
to
the
point
where
we're
submitting
driveway
and
tree
replacement
and
Vincent?
Yes,
I
know
we're
excited
and
I'm
fixing
for
our
house,
hopefully
to
move
in
by
the
end
of
the
summer
for
the
fence
proposal
we
have
aluminum
fence
that
looks
like
some
of
the
old
old
wrought
iron
fence.
It's
a
it's
with
the
Triad
finial
and
it'll
go
around
the
back
of
the
property
for
security.
N
We
have
four
children
and
also
the
drive
we're
wanting
to
do
a
semi-circle
Drive
in
the
front
of
the
house,
and
now
there's
been
a
lot
of
talk
about
green
space
tonight
with
some
of
the
other
presentations,
and
that
was
a
question
we
had
from
the
OCA
when
we
presented
to
them
last
night
and
I
think
we
have
approximately
60%
green
space
and
I
brought
that
color
we
painted
in
at
a
color.
So
you
could
kind
of
get
an
idea
of
the
green
space
that
would
be
there.
N
So
they'll
be
a
good
screen
between
the
street
and
the
circular
Drive
and
also
they'll,
be
some
more
green
space
between
the
drive
of
that
in
the
front
of
the
house.
So,
let's
see
well
also
the
material
for
the
drive
would
be
brown
shot
and
we
will
have
to
redo
the
curb
cuts
to
make
sure
that
there
are
no
issues
with
any
of
the
gravel
going
into
the
street.
N
We
when
we
first
started
our
project,
we
removed
three
pecan
trees
with
the
contingency
that
we
replace
those
trees.
When,
when
we
got
to
this
point,
Janie
has
been
helping
us
with
this
and
I
think
she's
spoken
to
Russell
stringer
extensively
and
it's
our
understanding
that
he
was
in
agreement
with
a
tuber
oaks
that
we've
that
we
have
put
on
the
plan
to
plant
and
the
one
ginkgo,
biloba
and
I
think
he
was
also
on
board
with
the
placement
of
the
trees
in
the
backyard.
N
That's
where
the
pecan
trees
were,
and
we
try
to
place
them
close
where
the
pecan
trees
were
and
also
in
a
place
where
we
thought
they
would
get
enough
Sun
to
grow
the
further
back
in
the
property.
There's
a
lot
more.
There
are
a
lot
of
trees
more
towards
the
back.
The
property
between
us
and
the
neighbors
behind
us
I
believe.
That's.
It.
N
H
N
I
did
I
did
fail
to
mention
if
you're
facing
the
house
on
the
right
side,
instead
of
doing
the
aluminum
vents
at
the
front
of
the
house
and
that
right
side,
we've
proposed
a
lattice
fence
to
put
the
Confederate
to
asmin,
just
to
add
some
more
green
space.
On
that
side,
we
we
decided
to
do
that.
The
neighbors
are
doing
some
really
great
renovations
to
the
right
of
us,
but
their
carport
is
I.
N
Believe
they've
got
a
variance
to
come
a
little
bit
further
over,
so
we're
trying
to
create
a
little
bit
of
a
privacy
on
that
side
just
for
our
family,
and
we
have
four
small
children
and
they
tend
to
get
places
they're
not
supposed
to
so
I'm
trying
to
trying
to
I'm
trying
to
keep
everybody
contained
and
just
for
security
to,
because
our
AC
units
are
over.
There
and
I
know
that
sometimes
it's
an
issue
with
people
wanting
to
take
things
from
your
homes.
A
J
Good
evening
Brian
Richardson
I'm,
the
next-door
neighbor
to
the
east
side
of
the
house.
728
we've
been
here
and
president
stuff
in
the
past,
so
we're
very
happy
about
the
progress
that
they've
made
and
everything
they're
doing
for
the
neighborhood
and
I
think
this
is
a
you
know,
fantastic
opportunity
to
to
make
the
neighborhood
better.
We
do
have
some
concerns.
I
think
that
one
thing
I
want
to
bring
up
is
the
the
Burr
Oak.
That's
in
the
back.
J
That's
essentially
adjacent
to
the
property,
so
I
think
that,
as
you
know,
burr
Oaks
are
fairly
large
trees
and
they
do
grow,
and
one
thing
that
we
have
concern
about
is
that
the
maintenance
of
the
tree
as
it
grows
over
to
the
property
line.
As
this
you
know,
FSA's,
given
us
plans
or
we've
seen
the
plans
and
there's
clearly
no
question
that
that
oak
tree
is
going
to
impinge
onto
our
property
line.
J
So
that
is
one
concern
of
ours,
the
other
one
which
I
know
it's
probably
outside
the
realm
of
the
board's
jurisdiction
or
oversight,
would
be.
You
know
we
did
go
through
the
whole
process
of
getting
the
Porticus
chair,
approved
through
the
board
of
variance
and
then
back
through.
You
guys
we're
very
happy
with
that.
The
current
plan
that
the
that
our
neighbors
have
would
be
to
plant
some
fairly
large
vegetation
there.
J
I
know,
that's
probably
not
something
that
you're
going
to
be
able
to
rule
on
tonight,
but
we
wanted
to
make
it
for
public
record
that
you
know
we
do
address,
or
we
do
have
this
concern
that
it's
going
to
be
an
issue
in
the
future.
I
think
you
know
in
our
minds:
we've
come
up
with
somewhat
of
a
solution
and
would
be
to
potentially
place
a
privacy
fence
we
want.
We
do
want
security
as
well.
J
We
know
that
in
Cloverdale
there
are
some
issues
with
with
auto
theft
and
auto
break-ins,
and
so
we
want
our
property
to
be
protected
as
well
as
everyone
else
does.
And
so
we
don't
have
it
prepared
as
of
tonight.
But
we
will
be
presenting
plans
here
in
the
near
future,
hopefully
at
the
next
meeting
to
place
a
gated
opening
with
a
privacy
fence
that
will
extend
all
the
way
down
that
side
of
the
property
around
to
the
back
and
then
around
to
the
other
side.
N
And
that's
assuming,
if
they're,
not
crude,
so
I
mean
if
they're
pruned
or
kept
in
check,
and
then
we
actually
met
with
them.
The
other
night
and
explained
this,
but
I
didn't
realize
that
our
hedges
were
before
the
board
that
I
thought
we
were
dealing
with
the
trees
but
and
as
far
as
the
borough
we've
talked
with
Russell
extensively
and
it's
gonna
take
pretty
long
a
while
to
grow
and
I
mean
just
as
we
do
with
our
neighbors.
N
F
Tree
selection,
if
it
was
altered,
would
need
to
be
done
in
consultation
with
Russell,
but
oak
trees
are
generally
his
go-to
for
a
replacement
canopy
tree.
What
about
our
privacy,
hedge,
the
hedge?
If
you
didn't
have
to
come
before
us
for
the
driveway
defense
for
the
replacement
trees,
we
would
have
never
seen
it
okay
and.
N
I
will
say
this
about
the
privacy
hedge.
The
main
reason
that
we
want
to
add
the
private
hedge
on
the
right
side
of
the
property.
We
we
actually
shifted
our
thinking
with
the
landscape
plan
when
the
porter
shed,
where
the
share
was
approved
and
the
variance
was
given
because
I
believe
now
they're
two
feet
from
the
property
line.
That
is
at
the
side
of
the
house,
where
there's
only
I
think
an
eighth.
N
It's
it's
probably
the
way,
based
on
how
the
house
was
built,
there's
about
eight
to
ten
feet
on
our
property
line
on
that
side.
So
that
puts
that
Porticus
share
very
closely
and
we
chose
not
to
object
about
with
a
variance
because
we
felt
like
putting
a
privacy
hedge.
There
was
a
good
solution
to
still
ensure
that
we
had
privacy
between
the
two
homes,
even
though
the
structure
was
coming
further
over
to
the
property
line,
so
and
I
will
say,
we
are
planning
on
moving
in
at
the
end
of
the
at
the
end
of
summer.
N
J
We
certainly
appreciate
you
know
that
you
know
that
as
good
neighbors,
that
everyone's
going
to
take
care
of
pruning
and
such,
but
you
know,
as
we
anticipate
you
know
things
in
the
future.
You
know
we
want
to
be
prepared
if
someone
were
to
move
or
they
vacate
the
house
that
you
know,
we
have
plans
that
don't
hinge
on
having
great
neighbors
to
be
able
to
take
care
of
these
things,
and
so
there
you
know
there
really
is
no
question
that
the
Burr
Oak
is
gonna
grow
over
into
our
area.
J
That's
drawn
out
on
the
landscaping
plans,
as
well
as
the
fact
that
the
landscaping
which
again
may
not
be
inside
the
jurisdiction
of
this.
This
oversight
is
also
going
to
do
so.
So
it's
going
to
be
a
continual
issue
in
you
know
the
law
as
of
stands
today,
it
really
puts
all
the
burden,
the
folks
who
are
on
the
opposite
side
of
the
property
line.
So
you
know
again
that's
why
we
say
today.
We
we
certainly
don't
object
to
anything
that
they
do.
J
We
want
them
to
be
able
to
plant
anything
that
they
want
to
plant
to
make
their
property.
Look
as
good
as
it
possibly
can
look
we
just
want
to
know
you
know
we
don't
want.
We
want
to
know
and
make
it
a
public
statement
that
you
know
we
will
plan
on
planting
a
privacy
fence
there,
so
there
will
be
a
fence,
hopefully
to
be
able
to
separate
that
and
there's
there's
multiple
reasons
for
that,
including
the
fact
that
we
have
two
dogs.
J
They
have
four
children
where
my
wife
is
expecting
in
the
next
two
or
three
weeks.
Hopefully
she
won't
go
into
labor
tonight.
So,
as
we
anticipate,
you
know
the
future
plans
of
what's
going
to
happen
and
how
those
how
those
properties
are
going
to
be
separated.
We
want
to
be
able
to
make
sure
that
we
don't
have
issues
with
dogs
and
children,
and
things
like
that,
so
you
know
I
think
it's
a
it's
an
overall,
it's
going
to
be
a
great
plan.
F
F
I
O
Have
it
my
drive
home
filter
and
that's
what
we
have
in
the
you
know
at
the
parking
for
the
museum
that
show
museum
it's
very
attractive
and
it
sets
up
very
nicely
in
the
brown
shop,
which
is
a
really
really
tiny
gravel
makes
it
disappear.
So,
even
if
you
have
on
hills
once
it
sets
you're
comfortable,
does
it
have
an
edging
to
it?
It
does
kind
of
have
industrial
still
edging.
We
may
eventually
go
with
brick
edging,
but
that
may
not
be
in
the
first
place
that
might
be
phase
two.
I
N
I
O
If
you
have
a
truck
or
SUV
12
foot
is
considered
like
the
now
the
practical
standard
for
it,
so
I've
laid
it
out
and
you
know,
had
driven
it
a
number
of
times
and
that
drives
real,
comfortably
and
I
thought
with
then
with
the
children
getting
out.
If
they
you
know,
could
get
out
where
they
would
both
be
in
the
drive.
You
know
when
you
open
the
doors,
but
that
would
be
better,
but
there
is
grass
on
one
side.
So
if
we
didn't
need
an
air
right,
I
think
that
could
work
also
I.
A
Hate
to
be
disagreeable,
but
I
really
don't
like
listening
to
circular
graph
way
in
the
front
yard,
I
see
cars
being
parked
in
it
all
the
time
and
probably
big
vehicles
and
blocking
the
view
of
the
house.
I.
Just
don't
think
that
front
yard
is
big
enough
to
have
a
semi
circular.
Drive
you've
got
plenty
of
room
in
the
back
to
park
cars.
It's
a
shame
not
to
park
the
cars
in
the
back.
I
wish
that
I
could
get
my
quarter
and.
N
I
will
say
we
are
planning.
If
you
look
at
the
there
is
a
drive
that
we're
getting
on.
If
you're
facing
the
house
down
the
lips
night,
we
will
park
in
the
back
of
the
house
that
really
we
we
have
planned
that
more
for
off
street
parking
if
we
have
guests
just
for
a
temporary
visit
and
I
hope
that
we
don't
have
four
children
still
living
with
us
when
they
all
have
cars
to
be
using
that
space,
so
I
don't
plan
on
having
a
parking
lot
at
all.
N
We
really
want
the
aesthetics
and
then
we've
we've
done
that
with
the
house.
Even
with
the
the
vent
covers
that
we've
used
on
the
foundation.
We
want
that
to
be
seen
and
I
really
want
to
I
really
want
to
accentuate
that.
So
it's
not
our
plan
to
do
that.
We're
gonna
our
plan
is
really
to
have
more
green
space.
