A
B
D
Mr.
mayor
thanks,
so
much
I
just
want
to
give
you
a
heads
up
that
our
next
meeting,
which
is
on
the
November
the
two
through
the
six
or
seven
we're
going
to
have
a
presentation,
that's
going
to
center
around
this
new
initiative
that
you
guys
have
been
talking
about
and
that
we've
been
talking
about.
It
really
does
address
the
totality
of
dilapidation
and
getting
rid
of
properties
and
doing
those
practice
things
that
you
have
been
wondering
the
reason
we
did
not
do
that
this
week
was
Chris.
D
You
know
in
this
chamber
we
congratulate
and
we
celebrate,
and
we
bring
proclamations
to
a
myriad
of
athletes
who
have
represented
our
city
extremely
well,
whether
they
come
in
as
champions
of
the
city
or
the
state
or
even
in
some
cases,
the
national
championship.
But
that's
not
all
that
represent
our
city.
Well,
there
are
many
in
the
academic
world
that
represent
our
city
well,
and
so
tonight
we
wanted
to
celebrate
and
congratulate
and
honor
those
National
Merit
finalists
that
have
been
vying
with
so
many
others
around
the
United
States.
D
This
is
1.6
million
students
nationwide
to
take
the
preliminary
SAT
national
man
scholarship
qualifying
test.
Only
1%
of
the
students
qualified
become
National
Merit
Scholar
semi-finalists
to
honor.
The
honor
is
based
on
their
PSAT
scores
and
allows
them
to
be
eligible
for
national
merit
allowances
worth
$2,500
and
moral
Montgomery
is
lucky
to
have
athletic
champions.
As
we've
talked
about.
We
also
have
academic
champions
as
well.
Then
Michael
goes
on
a
real
tear
about
athletes
and
academics.
D
Let
me
just
give
you
some
of
the
facts
that
he
has
here
and
those
that
are
here
representing
the
families
of
those
greatest
scholars.
I
want
you
to
take
particularly
note
at
these
numbers.
Consider
these
facts:
Michael
Jordan
one
of
the
world's
most
famous
athlete
athletes,
retired
with
40
million
dollars
in
endorsements
and
makes
a
hundred
and
seventy-five
thousand
per
day,
whether
he's
working
or
not
working
that
translates
into
seventy
four
hundred
dollars
above
minimum
wage
on
the
nightly
basis
when
he
sleeps
the
night
for
seven
hours.
He
wakes
up
$52,000
Richard.
D
If
you're
I
were
given
one
penny
for
every
$10,
see
mates
who
would
have
a
comfortable
annual
salary
of
$65,000.
He
enjoys
goth
matter
of
fact.
He
was
at
Lagoon
Park
played
around
to
Gotham
I,
don't
think
I
was
the
mayor,
then
or
I'd
have
played
with
you,
but
he
he
came
off
the
18th
hole.
So
it
took
him
four
hours
to
play
a
round
of
golf.
He
earned
$33,000
while
he
was
playing
golf
that
day
and
he
did
bet.
D
However,
if
Michael
Jordan
saves
100
percent
of
his
income
for
the
next
450
years,
people
save
100
percent,
whose
annual
income
for
the
next
450
years
you'll
still
have
less
money
than
Bill
Gates
has
today
sometimes
brain
breach,
brawl
hands
down
Michael.
That
was
pretty
good.
Thank
you.
So
much
for
that
so.
D
Be
John
Mayer,
let's
meet
our
brainy
National
Merit
semifinalist,
and
if
we
will
we'll
have
a
presentation
to
those
individually,
I
think
they'll
be
by
school
and
then
we'll
get
a
picture
with
the
whole
group,
but
in
all
citizens.
We
congratulate
you
on
the
work
that
you
have
done
and
that
you
are
doing
and
that
you
will
do
to
put
Montgomery
at
the
forefront.
And
while
we
talk
a
lot
about
gaps
in
Montgomery,
public
education,
we've
got
great
excellence
in
certain
areas
and
you're
going
to
see
that
as
we
present,
these
National
Merit
Scholarship.
E
C
E
E
D
F
Employers
from
the
state
from
Montgomery
our
public
school
system-
I
don't
to
make.
This
is
just
a
disclaimer,
because
the
city
has
entered
into
that
lawsuit
and
I.
Just
I
don't
want
to
have
a
conflict
of
interest,
so
I
won't
make
this
disclaimer
and
we
sued
two
persons.
So
we
soon
mrs.
Sennett
sentence.
He
was
a
former
superintendent
and
we
sued
mr.
dr.
eggleston.
F
Since
I
have
been
on
the
City,
Council
I
have
not
come
before
the
city
in
any
manner
before
the
city
judges,
because,
although
I
didn't
think
it
would
be
a
conflict
as
lawyers
you
have
to
have
the
impression
you
won't
do
not
want
to
have
the
appearance
of
impropriety
and
I
elated.
My
decision
that
it
would
be
quite
awkward
for
me
to
ever
file
a
lawsuit
against
the
city.
I
am
a
part
of
the
city.
F
It's
not
all
what
we
wished
it
would
be,
but
it
is
what
it
is
and
I
think
we're
doing
good
job,
good
job,
but
mayor
the
mayor,
we
found
this
lawsuit
in
the
city
of
Montgomery
has
made
a
motion
to
intervene
in
this
lawsuit,
and
so
it
puts
me
as
in
a
precarious
situation,
because
I'm
gonna
find
myself
when
I
represent
someone.
I'm
gonna
represent
my
clients
vigorously
and
it's
gonna.
It's
going
to
seem.
I'm,
not
gonna,
move
off
the
lawsuit
and
I'm
not
here
to
talk
about
the
lawsuit.
F
But
it's
gonna
put
me
at
odds
with
the
city,
because
the
city
enter
into
a
lawsuit.
It
wasn't
that
we
sue
the
city.
Having
said
that,
I
want
to
make
that
disclaimer,
because
I
don't
want
to
say
that
when
I
asked
this
question
I'm
dealing
trying
to
get
something
personally
but
here's
my
question:
I
had
I
provided
and
I'm.
F
F
Maybe
I
would
I
would
have
pulled
off
pulled
out,
but
here's
my
question
and,
having
said
that,
I
just
want
make
that
disclaimer
when
the
city
enter
into
a
lawsuit
or
does
our
lawsuit
on
behalf
of
the
city?
Would
not
you
think
that
there,
when
I,
won't
put
words
in
your
house
alone?
Do
you
think
that
the
City
Council
ought
to
be
informed
or
do
you
just
file
a
lawsuit
and
don't
inform
us
either
way?
It
doesn't
matter
to
me,
but
I
was
just
and
maybe
some
City
Council's
work.
D
Petition
for
intervention,
and
the
first
thing
I
said
to
Kim
fel
I
said
the
attorney
is
when
you
file
the
intervention
or
when
our
outside
counsel
file
said,
as
I
mentioned.
The
first
people
I
want
to
make
sure
gets
notified
is
in
fact
the
City,
Council
and
I
believe
by
email.
You
were
in
fact
notified
the
moment
that
she
was
in
fact
you
notify
well
and.
C
I
apologize
for
the
delay,
they
were
supposed
to
tell
me
when
they
filed
it
and
at
five
o'clock,
I
emailed
and
said
you
know,
I
just
want
to
follow
up,
because
I
could
not
get
on
alle
court
to
look
and
see
and
that's
when
I
sent
it
to
y'all,
because
that
was
when
I
was
notified,
that
it
had
actually
been
filed.
It
was
filed
earlier
that
afternoon.
He
probably
got
serviced
on
it,
I
guess.
But
my
intention
was.
F
I
appreciate
that,
because
I
thought
you
I
thought
you
were
just
don't
be
quite
frank
with
you,
I
thought
you
just
was
disrespecting
the
other
City
Council,
but
I
haven't
seen
or
haven't
said
that
mirror
and
I
won't
take
up
all
the
time,
but
every
time
you've
been
in
a
lawsuit,
we
go
on
an
executive
session
and
discuss
it.
So
my
question
is
I
wanted
out
and
open.
F
Do
you
think
that
is
not
important
not
to
inform
us
that
you
are
filing
a
lawsuit,
because
in
the
lawsuit
it
says
something
on
behalf
of
the
City
Council
I
mean
we
are
at
least
one
half
of
the
city
and
I.
Just
think
that
we
ought
to
be
given
the
coat
the
professional
courtesy
to
say
whether
we
want
to
intervene.
I'm,
okay
with
you
now,
because
you
know
I'm,
okay
with
it,
but
I.
Just
don't
know
why
why
we
would
you
know
beam.
D
Yes,
oh,
we
did
with
my
intention
that
we
would
let
you
know
as
soon
as
we
had
done
that,
but
not
always
in
this
particular
case.
As
you
well
know,
this
is
a
very
delicate
issue.
I
need.
Five
percent
of
the
people
that
are
in
the
public
school
system
are
in
fact
Montgomery
city
of
citizens.
We
give
them
on
average
about
10
million
dollars
a
year.
We
have
a
very
vested
interests
that
use
our
facilities.
We
cut
their
grasses.
We
understand.
F
I'm
not
pushing
I'm,
not
questioning
the
legitimacy,
because
I
don't
I'm,
not
getting
the
better.
The
only
thing
I
was
pushing
is
the
professionalism
of
letting
the
City
Council.
Well,
I
was
a
lawyer
on
other
side
or
not,
and
so
that's
what
I'm
saying
I
think
you
know
really
I
just
think
that
we
ought
to
be
in
in
formalin
and
maybe
I'm
gonna
run
these
things
that
I
just
want
to
bring
that
out
and
so
I'm
finished
with
that
I
appreciate.
H
It
was
teared
up
for
kids
and
we
had
a
hundred
and
fifty
kids
who
want
to
learn
how
to
play
golf.
Since
that
time,
we've
played
delete
latest
in
Tennessee
holding
up
our
vice
president
von
foster.
We
got
a
traveling
towel
to
prove
it.
They
will
not
get
that
back.
We
just
came
from
Atlanta
Georgia
playing
Browns
meal
November
4th
we've
got
that
we
won
the
Alabama
Georgia
shootout.
They
will
not
get
that
back.
So
we
I,
don't
know
what
that
is,
but
it
sure
is
freely.
I
love
trophies.
I
C
Yes,
yes,
sir
mr.
Jin
right,
we
met
today
the
committee
on
the
police
department,
number
of
employees
we
met
today
and
we're
going
to
agree,
we're
gonna
remate
again
with
a
plan
that
director,
Murphy
and
chief
Finley
are
going
to
come
up
with
and
hopefully
we'll
have
something
on
November
24th,
so
we'll
meet
madam
Clarke
November
21st
at
two
o'clock.
Okay,.
