Senate
bill
number
five
introduced
by
senate
committee
on
health
and
human
services,
makes
changes
relating
to
telehealth
the
people
state
in
nevada,
representing
the
senate
assembly.
Do
you
not
just
follow
section
one
to
section
one?
Thank
you.
Are
there
any
amendments
to
the
bill
as
a
whole?
There
are
none
section,
17,
subsection,
two
and
a
bill.
D
You,
madam
president,
senate
bill
5
makes
various
changes
to
telehealth.
It
clarifies
that
the
definition
of
telehealth
includes
both
synchronous
and
asynchronous
interactions,
and
it
adds
audio
only
interaction
to
the
definition
of
telehealth,
except
as
it
relates
to
industrial
insurance.
This
change
effectively
provides
ex
existing
law
that
requires
certain
insurers
and
third
party
payers
to
cover
telehealth
services
to
the
same
extent
as
if
provided
in
person
to
also
apply
to
services
provided
through
audio,
only
interaction.
D
The
bill
prohibits
various
third-party
payers
from
refusing
to
pay
for
services
provided
through
telehealth
because
of
the
technology
used
and
categorizing
telehealth
services
differently
than
services
provided
in
person
for
purposes
related
to
coverage
or
reimbursement.
In
addition,
senate
bill
5
requires
third
party
payers
to
cover
telehealth
services
and
the
same
amount
of
services
provided
in
person
or
by
other
means,
except
for
services
provided
through
audio.
D
Only
interaction,
sendable
5
expressly
authorizes
healthcare
providers
to
establish
a
relationship
with
patients
through
telehealth
and
authorizes
the
state
board
of
health
to
adopt
regulations
governing
the
establishment
of
a
relationship
in
this
manner.
Finally,
the
bill
requires
the
department
of
health
and
human
services
to
the
extent
money
is
available
to
establish
a
data
dashboard
that
allows
for
the
analysis
of
data
related
to
telehealth
access.

C
Senate
bill
number
six
introduced
by
senate
committee
and
judiciary
revises
provisions
governing
orders
for
protection
against
high-risk
behavior.
The
people
stated
nevada
represented
in
the
senate
assembly
during
act
as
follows:
section
one
to
section
one.
Thank
you.
Are
there
any
amendments
to
the
bill?
I
have
amendment
number
449
proposed
by
senator
settlemeyer.
Thank
you.
Senator.
F
Thank
you.
Madam
president.
The
amendment
only
addresses
the
issue
of
the
returning
of
an
individual's
firearms
with
leaving
it
at
what
the
law
is
currently
at
14
days,
rather
than
changing
it
to
30
days.
There
was
testimony
from
the
judge
and
from
law
enforcement
that
it
has
not
been
a
problem
to
date.
They
would
have
liked
more
time,
but
they
can
do
it
within
that
provision
and
therefore
I
support
the
amendment.
Thank
you.
