pray
for
their

for
wisdom

for

all

I
pray.

Pat
became
an

in
legislative
Service,
as
she
spent
nine
regular
sessions
aiding
corralling

supporting
the
orenshaw
legislators,
beginning
with
former
assemblywoman
Jeannie
orenshaw
Dakin
and
continuing
through
the
2019
legislative
session
and
whereas,
during
the
pandemic,
meetups
with
friends
from
both
Pat's
time
teaching
and
her
time.
Working
for

Ensured
Pat
was
not

and
these
gatherings
evolved
into
the
wine

of
more
than
30
women
coming
together
to
support
Pat
and
who,
in
turn,
found
support

the

this
resolution

this
resolution

Upon
adoption
and
of

C
C
C
C
She
was
a
little
bit
mischievous
and
that
gentle
smile
that
was
encouraging,
which
is
an
example
of
every
educator.
That's
ever
lived.
She
was
somebody
that
believed
in
everyone.
She
believed
in
the
positives
in
life
she
was
the
most
caring
individual.
You
could
possibly
imagine,
and
when
I
spoke
with
a
few
friends
of
hers,
that's
basically
what
came
out
she
had
this
patience,
and
yet
every
once
in
a
while,
the
Irish
temper
would
come
out
too
I'm
not
gonna
lie.
C
I
saw
it
once
or
twice
when
I
might
have
had
a
little
bit
too
much
to
drink
on
a
sunny
day
party.
But
that's
another
story.
She
was
always
a
true
professional
who
she
knew.
The
most
important
thing,
though,
was
not
just
about
the
laws
that
we
were
enacting,
but
also
the
connection
to
each
other,
and
when
you
would
ask
her
so
you
know,
did
you
always
want
to
be
a
teacher
or
when
you
would
talk
with
her
about
things?
C
She
would
always
come
back
to
well
when
I
decide
to
grow
up,
because
she
never
grew
up.
She
had
this
infectious
love
of
people
and
that's
exactly
why
she
was
a
great
teacher,
a
great
friend,
a
great
mother
and
somebody
that
we
should
all
try
to
be
I.
Ask
that
you
support
senate
senate
concurrent
resolution.
Thank
you.
D
C
I
would
like
to
ask
Rich
Hudson,
who
is
Pat's
oldest
son,
to
stand
with
me
today.
The
resolution
was
actually
given
to
him
in
the
Senate
on
Friday.
However,
he
made
his
Trek
on
over
from
Shaw
Middle
School.
He
took
today
off
to
be
here
to
celebrate
his
mother
because
she
knew
how
important
this
body
was
to
her
this
building,
but,
more
importantly,
to
celebrate
her.
C
So
if
you
would,
please
make
Mr
Hudson,
who
is
actually
representing
all
of
his
family,
if
I
could
announce
all
of
them:
Sons
Richard
and
Stephen
Hudson
daughter-in-law,
Don,
grandchildren,
Jacob
Gilead,
Nathaniel,
Hudson,
Colin,
Hudson,
Lucas,
Hudson,
Melania
Hudson,
who
truly
were
the
the
joy
of
Pat's
life
and
then
I
know.
There
are
also
many
friends
of
hers
that
are
also
in
the
back.
So
if
you
would,
please
all
make
them
feel,
welcome
and
share
in
the
celebration
of
Pat.

Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker,
I'm,
so
honored
to
have
a
special
guest
with
me
today,
I
think
he's
late.
Somebody
forgot
to
tell
him
that
alumni
week
was
last
week.
Alumni
day
was
last
week,
but
I'm
really
excited
to
introduce
him
he's
one
of
our
former
colleagues
representing
Assembly,
District
35
and
a
dear
friend
of
mine.
So
if
you
would
all
please
help
me
welcome
a
former
assemblyman
Justin
Watkins
to
his
previous
home.
I
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker.
This
week,
May
7th
through
13th
marks
the
40th
anniversary
of
national
travel
and
tourism
week
in
Nevada.
There
are
a
plethora
of
benefits
to
travel
and
tourism
industries
that
that
the
travel
and
tourism
industry
offers,
including
domestic
and
international
Goodwill
the
opportunity
to
view
and
visit
natural
and
contemporary
wonders
of
luminous
of
limit
Limitless
variety
and
outstanding
cultural
and
sporting
events.
This
week
also
is
a
time
to
recognize
and
celebrate
adventurers
tourists,
Travelers
and
those
who
earn
their
living
through
serving
them.
I
In
2021,
the
Silver
State
welcomed
more
than
43.2
million
visitors,
who
directly
spent
39.4
billion
dollars
across
the
state's
economy
and
generated
4.4
billion
dollars
in
state
and
local
taxes.
Tourism
employs
more
than
355
000
people
who
rely
on
it
for
their
livelihood.
A
number
that
represents
nearly
20
percent
of
all
jobs
in
the
state,
therefore
be
it
proclaimed
that
National
travel
and
tourism
week
May
7th,
through
13th
2023,
provides
an
opportunity
for
nevadans
across
the
state
to
recognize
that
travel
and
tourism
are
essential
in
industries
that
benefit
businesses
lead
to
economic
prosperity
and
Foster.
I
Mutual.
Understanding
welcoming
visitors
from
near
and
far
has
always
been
and
Will
Remain
the
enduring
culture
of
the
travel
and
tourism
industry
in
Nevada.
I
have
a
proclamation
today,
acknowledging
the
benefits
and
impacts
of
Tourism
on
our
state
that
I
won't
read,
but
please
help
me
in
acknowledging
this
important
industry
today.
J
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker,
almost
every
session
we
come
together
and
we
participate
in
the
elephant
versus
Donkey
game
and
I
have
the
absolute
honor
of
being
the
coach
of
the
year
this
session,
even
though
unofficially
it.
It
truly
was
a
great
fundraising
event
that
we
were
able
to
do
and
I
want
to.
I
want
to
point
out
that
senator
from
district
18
is
now
the
all-time
scoring
leader
from
this
legislative
body
and
I
also
have
to
to
say
how
wonderful
our
our
two
female
players
were.
J
They
really
put
in
the
time
and
the
effort
and
my
colleague
from
District
23
showed
some
of
the
most
bipartisan
support
that
I've
ever
seen
by
trying
to
help
score
points
for
everyone
else,
and
even
though
we
are
small
in
numbers,
we
showed
that
we
are
Mighty
in
our
perseverance
and
our
determination,
and
it's
just
something
to
as
we
get
ready
to
challenge
the
senate
in
our
softball
game,
just
something
to
keep
in
mind
and
want
to
congratulate
the
elephants
on
their
Victory
and
everyone
that
participated
in
raising
money
for
a
great
cause.
Thank
you.
B
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
I
have
two
personal
guests
today
on
the
floor
that
I'd
like
to
introduce
to
this
body.
If
you
would
please
stand
when
I
was
a
kid
growing
up,
I
never
knew
that
I
would
ever
have
the
honor
to
introduce
this
man.
To
my
friends,
my
colleagues
or
the
rest
of
my
family
Mark
Isles
is
my
biological
father,
who
I
did
not
meet
until
I
was
40..
That
was
a
few
years
ago.
B
Now
is
I'm
sure
you
know,
and
his
beautiful
wife
Marianne,
and
they
have
been
here
in
this
body,
exploring
what
it
means
to
be
a
part
of
the
assembly
and
functioning
as
my
Father,
which
is
a
remarkable
opportunity
for
us
to
do
together.
So
if
you
will
please
help
them
feel
welcome.
I'd
appreciate
that.
K
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
I
would
just
like
to
thank
my
colleague
from
District
38,
who
put
together
just
a
wonderful
tour
of
Fallon
that
I
had
not
been
to
and
what
a
beautiful
city,
what
a
great
Community
houses,
one
of
our
very
important
military
bases,
has
Agricultural,
and
it
was
just
I
can't
thank
our
colleague
enough
for
organizing
that,
so
we
could
just
enjoy
another
beautiful
area
of
the
great
state
of
Nevada.
Thank
you.
L
Pretty
excited
about
this
one,
so
on
Friday
it
was
Cinco
de
Mayo,
and
you
know
we
do
a
lot
of
work
in
this
building,
but
we
try
to
have
some
fun
as
well.
So,
on
the
fourth
floor,
the
Committees
of
Education,
which
is
eye
chair
government
Affairs,
they
work
sometimes
Commerce
and
labor
and
revenue.
We
all
participated
in
a
salsa
contest,
not
going
to
say
we
had
a
ringer,
but
my
attache
did
make
homemade
chips
for
ours
and
it
was
just
really
fun
and
everyone
came
up
but
I.
L
You
know,
I
just
have
to
point
out
that
the
education
committee
did
win,
so
this
will
be
living
in
my
office
for
the
next
year
until
or
two
years
until
we
do
it
again
and
might
stay
with
me
or
we
might
open
it
up
to
the
third
floor
and
have
a
real
competition.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
very
much.
M
M
Red
on
top
of
red,
so
our
esteemed
colleague
is
an
optometrist
and
I
have
been
wearing
glasses.
The
real
ones
since
I
was
11
years
old
and
I
know
the
importance
of
sight
and
how
it
affects
whether
or
not
our
children
and
people
in
our
community
can
function
properly
and
in
honor
of
his
birthday.
I
would
like
to
encourage
any
of
you
who
have
extra
eyeglasses
to
please
donate
them
to
the
Lions
Club.
They
have
several
locations
here
in
Carson
City,
where
you
can
donate
I'll.
M
M
She
is
a
lovely
woman,
mother
and
wife
and
a
person
who
cares
so
much
about
those
in
the
disability,
Community,
but
she's.
An
avid
bicyclist
and
I
am
so
happy
to
announce
to
you
that
today,
in
the
caucus
room,
we
will
have
apple
pie
and
red
velvet
Shooters
in
honor
of
her
birthday,
and
she
is
being
gifted
from
the
Regional
Transportation
Commission
of
Southern
Nevada,
my
old
family,
with
some
things
to
help
her
with
her
cycling
Adventure.
M
So
please
join
us
after
assembly
meeting
today
in
the
caucus
room
so
that
you
can
partake
of
the
delicious,
treats,
but
also
get
to
see
the
important
parts
of
bicycle
safety,
which
includes
a
bell
and
a
bike
lock
and
reflectors,
and
all
those
things
so
take
notes
so
that
when
your
children
or
your
community
people
are
out
and
and
about
you
can
encourage
them
to
Bicycle
safely.
M
M
M
Regional
planning,
bicycling
roads,
I
learned
there.
They
gave
me
an
opportunity
to
grow
as
a
professional
and
as
a
community
leader
I
remember
when
MJ
came
to
the
RTC,
we
couldn't
figure
out
like
how
this
happened,
because
she
was
in
at
one
of
the
hotels
and
she
came
just
immediately
trying
to
learn
everything
she
could
about
governing
in
a
regional
body.
I
have
a
sign
in
my
office
that
says
Hills
and
hustle.
She
is
the
embodiment
of
heels
and
hustle.
M
We
had
so
many
conversations
in
the
third
floor,
bathroom
talking
about
where
we'd
come
from
and
the
and
the
things
that
we
had
in
common
and
I
saw
her
rise
from
a
manager
to
become
the
CEO
she's,
tough
and
she's
smart
and
she's
caring
and
loving,
and
she
never
backs
down
and
y'all
know
I'm.
You
know,
I
can
have
Dukes
up
because
that's
just
where
I'm
from
East
Oakland,
you
don't
play
and
she
never
ever
took.
M
Offense
we've
had
scraps
because
I
was
a
the
chief
steward
defending
what
I
believed
were
the
rights
of
my
employees,
but
we
never
stopped
being
friends.
So
I
couldn't
call
her.
My
friend
at
work,
but
I,
can
call
her
my
dear
friend
I'm
so
proud,
and
this
is
her
first
time
on
the
floor
and
she's
with
me.
So
please
make
MJ
Menard
the
CEO
of
the
Southern
Nevada
Regional
Transportation
Commission.
Please
welcome
her
to
the
thank
you.
N
This
Friday,
on
May
5th
many
of
my
colleagues
and
I
were
traveling
back
to
Las
Vegas
on
our
very
beloved
Southwest
bus,
also
known
as
the
transit
to
and
from
Reno
to
Las
Vegas,
when
one
of
our
fellow
passengers
became
ill
and
was
unresponsive,
and
our
colleague
from
Assembly
District
13
sprung
into
action
along
with
a
number
of
other
folks
on
the
plane
and
brought
this
gentleman
back
to
life
so
that
at
least
when
we
finally
landed
in
Las
Vegas,
the
gentleman
had
a
pulse
and
was
breathing
and
hopefully
was
on
the
mend
or
on
his
way
to
being
on
the
mend.
N
O
O
I
would,
however,
ask
that
we
acknowledge
the
pilot
that
got
us
on
the
ground
as
quickly
as
possible
and
to
the
gate
faster
than
I've
ever
seen
in
my
life
to
the
flight
crew
that
remained
calm
and
provided
the
assistance
that
was
needed
and
the
equipment
that
was
needed
to
help
save
this
person's
life
and
for
the
fellow
passengers
who,
quite
honestly,
did
the
hard
part
which
was
chest
compressions.
If
you've
ever
done
that
you
know
how
exhausting
it
is.
So
if
we
could,
as
a
body
I
would
like
to
acknowledge
all
of
them.
E
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker,
some
announcements
for
the
floor.
I
do
want
to
let
the
body
know
that
today
is
afscme,
State
Employee,
Appreciation
Week.
They
will
be
hosting
a
prince
press
conference
from
1
to
1
30
on
the
legislative
grounds.
There's
also
an
art
exhibit
in
celebration
of
aapi
Heritage
Month
in
the
front
foyer
and
today
is
also
made
in
Nevada
day
small
business
day
and
The
Nature
Conservancy
happy
hour
reception.
We
did
have
a
joint
session
address
that
was
scheduled
for
later
this
evening.
That
has
now
been
canceled.
